Disclaimer: I do not own Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Angel. They both belong to Joss Whedon who so cruelly has kept Buffy and Angel apart. This is just my way of getting over that fact.

Merry Christmas every one!

I truly hope you had a memorable Christmas. I know I did...

Okay! Now time to unwrap a little christmas present for you all from me...

Drusilla was standing in front of him wearing a shimmery white gown, looking ethereal and beautiful. Spike stepped closer and frowned. Something was off.

"You are not her."

"Darn" the Drusilla look alike pouted. "And here I thought we could have some fun." She sighed. "Oh well, maybe next time." With that she disappeared and all hell broke loose.

Buffy clasped Angel's hand as he pressed down on the accelerator.

The first had said that it wanted Angela. Angel tightened his grip on the steering wheel as the thought of anything harming his daughter crossed his mind. His daughter… it was still hard to believe.

If anyone had told him about a decade ago that he would have a chance at a real family, a chance at what most people considered to be their birth right, he would have deemed them crazy.

After all how could a centuries old vampire, who had been a true monster for the better part of his life, get any peace or happiness?

But here he was, blessed with not one but two children, and a woman who always saw the best in him, despite everything he had done. No… despite everything he had done to 'her'; he corrected himself as he thought of Angelus. Hell, she did not even blame Angelus. Not really. No Buffy had even managed to see though his twisted alter ego. And the funny part… she was probably right. His girl had managed to figure out something about him, he himself never could.

Angelus had loved her. He himself as Angelus had loved her. But like always, he had been too much of a coward to face it. Angelus, the scourge of Europe, had been a coward, so much so that he had thought it better to let the world go to hell than to face his fears.

But somehow he had gotten a second chance. He had been forgiven for all he had done, by the powers and by his love. God had gifted him with so much and if anyone ever dared to try to take any of it away from him, he would make sure that they end up in the deepest pit of hell.

Buffy winced as Angel squeezed her hand with sudden vigor.

"Angel, you are crushing my hand."

"Hey, you okay dad?"

Connor placed a hand on his father's shoulder from behind. He had joined the two at the last moment as a primal instinct told him that he would be needed.

"Huh" Angel finally noticed, "Yeah I'm good.

Angela was huddled in a corner as she watched the black robed monsters attack her friends. She didn't understand what was going on. Until a few days ago, her biggest worry was math and reading her comics under the covers at night, and now all of a sudden there are monsters attacking all the time.

Spike was staking vampires after vampires as Cordelia shielded Joyce and herself with a crossbow. Eric was slashing away desperately with a sword while Mandy was calmly shooting out spells.

It was utter chaos…

She crouched in the space behind the sofa with a kitchen knife, ready to defend herself if needed. Looking around with wide eyes she watched in silent horror as her best friend got caught in the crossfire.

"Mike no" Angela yelled as a vampire tore into Mike's jugular, less than a foot away from her.

Gulping down her sobs, she crawled over to her childhood friend. Using all the strength her slight body had, she dragged him away into safety.

"Mike are you okay" Angela whispered as she hovered over him.

Blood gushed out from his neck, his face paling fast as he struggled to talk.

Not knowing what to do, she looked around to ask for help.

"Spike" she called out.

Spike was being ganged up on by- seven to eight vampires and bringers; who had finally realized that the only way to take him down was to do it together.

Seeing that Spike would not be able to help, she called out to others, but no one could reach or even hear her for that matter; not over the roar of the demons and the clash of weapons.

"Mike" Angela patted his head. "Don't be scared okay" she said. "I know it hurts, but… but you will be fine. Mandy, your mom, she is fi… fighting really well, and she will be here soon." She wiped her tears. "And then she will make you all better, just wait okay, just wait, and then I will even let you have my comics. You can even keep them forever if you want. Just be okay… please… please…"

"I can make him okay."

Angela looked up to see Buffy smiling beatifically at her.

"Mommy" Angela shrieked, jolting up to hug her.

"What", Angela wrinkled her nose in confusion. She had gone to embrace her mother, only to go right through her.

Bewildered, worried and frightened about her friend, Angela stepped back, as she finally gave up on controlling her tears.

"Who are you" she whimpered. "My mom… she… where is she, why do you look like her" Angela shook her head as she wiped at her eyes furiously.

The Buffy look alike smiled and changed into the form of a little girl, of around Angela's age.

Curling one of her pigtails around her tiny fingers, she hopped over to stand beside Angela.

"You are so smart." She said in a cheerful voice. "I think I like you." The girl nodded her head fervently. "Yes I do. My name is Kathy by the way."

"How did you do that?" Angela stammered, forgoing the introductions.

"Oh this" Kathy flicked her hand. "Just a little magic trick someone taught me."

"Magic" Angela's eyes widened. "Like Mandy and Aunt Willow."

"Yup", Kathy nodded.

"Can you… can you do magic on Mike."

Kathy nodded enthusiastically, a mischievous smile curling up her lip.

"Of course, that's why I'm here." A thoughtful look passed her face. "But I need your help."

"My help." Angela said.

"Uh huh." Kathy replied. "See, I can save Mike now, but he may get hurt again. They all can." The girl gestured towards the fight going on a few feet away from them.

Angela looked at her friends and family fighting for their lives. Her lower lip quivering, she turned round towards the girl. "But… but what can I do?"

"Stop it" Kathy grinned, her eyes brimming with excitement. "Stop it all. The fighting everything."

"R… really"

Kathy nodded. "All you have to say is yes and come with me."

"Go" Angela gulped. "But… but my mom told me not to leave this place. And also not to talk to strangers."

"I know" Kathy pouted. "Even my mom used to say that."

"She doesn't anymore" Angela frowned.

Kathy shook her head vigorously before mumbling. "She died." Kathy looked up solemnly. "Evil men killed her."

"Oh"

Kathy bit her lip before speaking. "I couldn't help my ma, but I can help you help yours. Just come with me and no one will ever hurt any of them ever again."

Angela thought of her mom, the image of her lying on the floor with her bleeding temple, floating on her mind. Turning her head down to stare at Mike she came to a decision.

"Alright" Angela nodded. "But first we help Mike."

Kathy let out a girlish giggle and leaned down next to him.

Spike, snapped the bringer's worthless neck and threw him aside. Turning around, his eyes searched for Angela. He had heard her yell his name. Spotting Angela he sighed in relief. She was safe in a corner and was currently leaning next to Mike who seemed to be getting up the floor. He looked disheveled and had blood on his neck. Worried about he kid, Spike went to make his way towards the two when he noticed Angela talking to thin air.

Spike's eyes widened as he realized what was going on.

"NIBBLET!"

Angela turned towards him and gave a soft smile.

"I am going to make everything right."

"ANGELA NOOO"

Angela turned to Kathy, the smile still etched on her face.

"Let's go"

Spike watched in chilling horror as she disappeared.
