Ask Me Please

"Has he asked you yet?" Her smile was outstretched, her green eyes lit up with excitement. "We can go shopping for the Prom dresses and do each other's hair!" She continued, her smile turning to a full on grin.

Raven gave a small shrug, "He hasn't even mentioned it to me yet, it's completely alright with me if he doesn't ask me. Dances aren't really my thing anyway, I'm sure Robin and you will have a great time, even without us." Picking up her plastic fork, she dug it into her school mush with a slight frown. It still would have been nice if he would have asked her though. Taking a bite, she looked back at Starfire. "Don't mention it to him, I don't want him to feel forced into asking me, alright? No matter how much you want to, promise me you won't."

Starfire looked at her in disbelief for a short moment, "He still hasn't asked you? The dance is next Saturday!" She lightly bit her lip, "I promise I won't say anything to him, even if I really want to." She smiled when noticing her boyfriend and their two friends next to him. "I may hint at it however." She grinned as the three men sat down. "Hello Robin!"

Robin smiled and stole a small peck, "Hey Star." He immediately began digging in his food, only stopping when he noticed Starfire was still staring at him but with a strange glint in her eyes. "What's up…?" He tried, trying to figure out why she was still looking at him.

Raven looked at the two, praying that Starfire wasn't going to create a scene about this dance. Glancing over at Beast Boy, she noticed the pair had his attention as well. This caused her to pray harder, just in case.

Starfire batted her eyelashes at him, "You know how the Prom is coming up next weekend?" She watched him nod, grabbing his hand, she giggled. "Well I was thinking about going dress shopping, what color do you think I should get?" She glanced over to find Beast Boy no longer paying attention, chatting away with Cyborg.

Raven noticed the glare in Starfire's eyes, grabbing her tray, she stood up. "I'm heading to the library." Giving Starfire a certain look, she gave a small smile towards Beast Boy. "I'll see you in class." Her brow rose when the green skinned male just gave her a nod, going back to his conversation. Usually he'd follow her like a lost puppy. "Right…" Turning around, she gave a shake of her head before tossing her uneaten food out, saving her apple just in case she got hungry later. Looking back at her table once more, she noticed Starfire talking Beast Boy. By the frown she wore, Raven could easily guess what was being talked about. Looking away, she headed out of the cafeteria.

Once sitting at one of the small library tables, she rested her face against her propped up arm as she flipped the page to her book. Looking at the clock, she looked back at her book. Sighing, she closed her book and looked around. What was happening at their table? Was Starfire killing Beast Boy or was nothing being said anymore?

"Hey there." A friendly voice said, interrupting her train of thought.

Blinking out of her thoughts, she realized the seat in front of her was no longer empty. "Hello?" She looked at the ravenette in front of her, his smile was white and his black eyes caught her attention. She felt fidgety, why was this guy talking to her? No guy ever talked to her, especially one that had the looks of this guy.

"You're Raven right?" His brow rose, "Why on earth are you sitting here alone? I would have figured some guy would have come here first." His chuckle was full of amusement. "My name's Aqualad, I've been meaning to talk to you."

Raven found herself gawking at the guy, was he serious? Looking away, she bit back a frown. She's never seen this guy in her life, what could he possibly want? "What is it?" She asked, giving him a slight glare when looking back at him.

Aqualad's smile never vanished, "Whoa there, why the frown? You look much more beautiful with a smile." He rested his chin on his propped up hands. "I was wondering if you were busy next weekend." He started. "You wanna go to the dance with me?"

The dance, he was asking her to go with him. This random guy asks her yet her own boyfriend hasn't even mentioned it. Her eyes hit her book, "I can't." She wouldn't, even if she did want to go to that dance, there's no way she'd go without Beast Boy. "I have something better to do."

He sighed, "Ouch, rejected." Crossing his arms, he leaned in. "Well Raven, in case you change your mind, I'll be here every day at this time until then just in case." He stood, "Just think about it, I hope to hear from you."

Raven watched him give her a wink before walking away from her table. Brows furrowing, she tried to put two and two together but got nowhere. Why on earth would a guy she didn't know want to take her to the dance? Didn't he know she was dating the top wannabe jokester in this school? They still were pretty popular in everyone's gossip. What if someone was trying to break them up? It could be Terra; she would do something like this. Standing up, she decided to just find Starfire and talk to her privately. The red head would surely know what to do in this kind of situation.
