USAS Patton
Medical Bay
Sometime Later
Calvin gasped for air as he regained consciousness in one of the back rooms of the medical bay of the USAS Patton and he realized he was hooked up to various life support and other medical equipment, but yet he remained calm as a doctor and four aides rushed into the chamber
"Holy crap he's awake!" One the of the Doctor's Aides shouted as Calvin painfully lifted up his head when he began to remember what had happened in the ravine
"Emily! Sheva!" Calvin screamed as he started to try to get up
"He's having a panic attack! Get him tied down! Quickly!" Another Doctor's Aide screamed as they rushed to restrain Calvin while the Doctor grabbed a hold of his horns and looked Calvin directly in the eyes
"Calvin! Calvin! Calm down! We know what happened to you and the others in the ravine! But we need you to calm down before you hurt yourself even more!" The Doctor screamed at him as the other doctors tied down his wings and legs as Calvin finally started to calm himself as laid his head back down before he started weeping
"Remove the restraints...he's had enough problems." The Doctors said
"Should we get his parents?" One of his Aides asked him
"Tell them he's awake, but tell them to wait a while before they try to visit." He replied as the other doctors began to remove the restraints as the Doctor gently stroked the top of Calvin's head before looking at all the medical equipment, "Get all this shit out of here, most of it doesn't even need to be in here."
"Yes Doctor." The Aide replied as the other aides began to disassemble most of the medical equipment
"Calvin...Calvin." The Doctor said to Calvin patiently he knelled down next to him, "I know you lost Emily and your sister and that they meant everything to you, but doing this is not going to save them."
Calvin stopped crying and looked at the Doctor
"In a few hours we're going to take you to Area 51 where they're going to do a complete reconstruction surgery on your wings, which will hopefully fix them." He said to him, "Then after that you'll have to go through a few months or so of physical therapy, but after that, at least physically, you should be okay."
"Then I can hunt Casca and his thugs down..." Calvin replied telepathically
"All I can say to that is join the club." The Doctor said to him, "Do you want to see your parents now or later?"
"Are they mad at me?" Calvin asked him
"Not that I saw." The Doctor replied as Calvin tried to get up, but stumbled and fell back down and then tried again, but with the same result
"God dammit..." Calvin thought to himself
"It looks like your wings maybe broken more than we thought, we'll do another X-Ray after we get you to your parents." He replied
"How am I supposed to see my parents if I can't move?! I need my wings for walking as well as flying!" Calvin shouted
"Calm down, we'll get somebody to help you." The Doctor replied
"If they can't fix my wings doc, does that mean I'm going to...die?" Calvin asked him
"Don't say that kid, we'll figure out something." He replied
"Doctor just be honest with me, you know what the Vikings say about dragons that can't fly." Calvin said to him and he immediately grabbed a hold of Calvin's horns again and forced him to look him straight in the eyes
"You are NOT going to die! You hear me! I don't care what the Vikings say, they don't have our understanding of autonomy or the technology!", He shouted at Calvin, "Even if it means we have find a way to turn you into a human or another dragon species, we are not going to let you die because your parents have suffered too much already!"
Calvin nodded as the Doctor released his horns
"Now lets go see your parents." He said

Common Pleas Courthouse
The newly sworn-in President Fettle had taken Reaper's place at the Coalition Leadership Council as the Coalition Leaders once again assembled to discuss their next move in the war
"President Fettle, on the behalf of the European Federation and the other members of the Coalition, we give you our condolences about the loss of your predecessor, even if we didn't always agree with his methods of doing things." Said the Prime Minister of the European Federation, Alberta Linto
"Thank you Mrs. Linto, but your condolences won't be enough to end this war." He replied and Linto nodded
"Lets begin shall we then?" Asked Russian President, Artur Rusnak as he and the other Coalition leaders sat down around the conference table
"Okay first things first, if we're going to be using the Barbaric Archipelago as a staging area for our operations, we need to start building bases there, but the problem is though that the Barbaric Archipelago is hardly a suitable place to be building the kind of bases we're going to need." Said Netanel Bronfman, President of Israel, "So I suggest we expand to Iceland as well, so that we have more room to build and expand if needed."
Paxton nodded
"Agreed, we'll also need to devise a plan to suppress Gene Corp's operations on the mainland, primarily targeting their production of post-human dragons." He said, "And I'm afraid the 502nd, 1st Legion, and the Vikings' dragon riders won't be enough even though they're our only experts."
"Indeed, because Gene Corp likely won't hesitate for a second to start turning our soldiers into dragons as they capture them and then turning them against us with mind control." Artur replied, "Which is why we will have to assemble a special task force to attack their operations both covertly and conventionally with the 502nd ,1st Legion, and dragon riders at it's forefront."
"Do you think Stoick will let us do that?" Paxton asked him
"I don't know, but it's worth the try." He replied
"Well lets get back to the subject on hand, we need to decide where we're going to hit the Romans and Gene Corp first." Bronfman said to them
"Agreed!" Linto replied
"At the moment, I have General Smict and his command staff drawing down the plans for an invasion of the British Isles because they'll be a good place start since they're relatively close to the Barbaric Archipelago and will provide us with a good staging area for an direct assault on the European mainland." Paxton said, "And taking it will also largely remove the threat of any installations we build on Iceland or the Barbaric Archipelago of being raided by bombers."
"I agree, Britain and Ireland are good places to start with." Bronfman replied while the other Coalition Leaders agreed, "But if we're going to invade them, we need neutralize what's left of the Roman Navy along with any aerial presence."
"You make it sound easy." Paxton said
USAS Patton
Hangar Bay
Barnes and Samantha were both helping Calvin walk into the hangar bay where his parents were eagerly waiting
"Thanks you two." Calvin said to Barnes and Samantha
"No problem." He replied as Karlson and Tesla ran toward him
"Calvin! Thank god you're alive!" Tesla cried as he started to nuzzle Calvin as the Doctor followed
"How is he?" Karlson asked the Doctor telepathically
The Doctor motioned for Karlson to follow him to the farthest corner
"His wings are in worst shape than we previously thought, I usually like to be optimistic, but the chances of him being able to fly again, even with the reconstruction surgery are to say at the least, very slim." The Doctor said to Karlson
"Isn't there anything else you can do?!" He asked him
"Well I did a blood test on him earlier and he came up negative with nanites." The Doctor replied
"What does that have to do with anything?!" Karlson asked him
"It means he has none of Gene Corp's nanites floating around in his bloodstream, which means we could hypothetically load up some nanites with human DNA and inject them into him and..." The Doctor replied before Karlson finished his sentence
"Turn him human." He said
"Yes, but we'll leave that as a last resort if the reconstruction surgery doesn't work." The Doctor said to him, "Which I'm hoping to god it will, because the last thing I want to do is take your son away."
"But it'll also mean he'll have a chance to have a better and happier life." He replied
"Well I think he won't be truly happy until he finds Sheva and Emily." The Doctor said to him, "But for now just enjoy what time you have left with him, because you never know, it could be the last."
Karlson nodded before turning around and heading back to Calvin and Tesla as Wensky came over to them
"Mr. Wensky..." Calvin said to him
Calvin...it's good to see you're still with us." He replied as Calvin hung his head
"Calvin, it's okay, there was nothing you could have done." Wensky said to him, "Stop trying to blame yourself, because it's only making Casca's victory even more complete."
Calvin nodded
"Thank you Mr. Wensky and I promise I'll do whatever I can to get her back." He said to him
"I know you will." Wensky said to him
"Hey little man! How are you doing?" Karlson asked Calvin as he nuzzled his son
"Better I guess..." He replied
"We'll take him from here you two." Karlson said to Barnes and Samantha as he and Tesla lifted up their son and began taking him back to the cargo bay
"Why did this had to happen to him, he's a good kid." Wensky said to Barnes
"If my dad was here, he would say that's the way war is." He replied, "All we can do is hope that he's make full recovery."
"Barnes, you know good as well there is no such thing as full recovery with something like that. He's going to be scarred, both physically and mentally, for the rest of his life." Wensky said to him, "And who knows what they're doing with my Emily and Sheva..."
"We'll get them back, I know we will." He replied, "And hopefully we'll get the added bonus of killing Casca as well."
"Amen to that..." Wensky said to him, "So what about Anna and Preston?"
"They're in the chapel right now getting married." He replied
"One hell of a time to get married." Wensky said to him
"Well at least it's something good." He replied

Henderson and Sheva had both managed to fall asleep by the time when the plane carrying them landed, waking both of them
"Oh god...we're landing!" Sheva said to Henderson telepathically
"Remain calm Sheva and just hope they don't separate us!" Henderson told her telepathically
Sheva nodded as the plane came to an halt and the back doors started to open
"Hurry up and get these two unloaded!" A Gene Corp Security Guard shouted as he four others walked onto the plane on the ramp as several of them started to untie Henderson from the floor while another one but put a shock collar around his neck with four leather leashes connected to it which he and three other Guards grabbed a hold of and forced Henderson to stand up and began trying to pull him outside, but he resisted by pulling his head back before one them activated the shock collar, sending several volts of electricity into his body and knocking the wind out of him as they dragged him followed by Sheva while the others were including Emily were unloaded from the other plane when Henderson saw that his entire squad had been turned into dragon
"YOU SONS OF *%$%$es!" Henderson shouted at the Guards as he put all his strength into pulling back against the Guards, only for the shock collar to be reactivated again, sending a even more powerful electrical charge into his body and bringing Henderson to his knees in pain
"Henderson!" Sheva screamed before one of the Guards climbed onto Henderson's back and struck him as hard as he could in the back of the head with his cattle prod, knocking him out
"He has a kid! You *%#$#$$!" Sheva screamed at the Guard telepathically
"Well he should have thought about before he tried to resist!" The Guard said as the unconscious Henderson was pulled onto the back of a large truck and fastened down to it's bed with tungsten cables while the Guard approached Sheva and lifted up her head with the cattle-prod
"Leave her alone private! Command wants them unharmed!" The Leading Guard shouted to the Guard
"Yes sir..." He said hesitantly before moving away from Sheva, who broke down and started crying as she was forcibly dragged onto the back onto another truck and tied down herself
"Calvin I'm glad you're not here to see all this..." Sheva thought to herself as a single Gene Corp Scientist climbed onto the truck her with a syringe filled with a some kind of material and injected her with it and knocked her unconscious
