A beautiful love song
Sakura and Syaoran walk in a park together, holding hands
Never changing
Kurogane stands under a tree, arms crossed, as he watches Tomoyo dance
Please keep singing it to me
A girl picks a moonflower and sniffs it just as a number of white, pink and purple petals hide her from view
Until my heart stops, until this time ends
Tsukiko turns around seeing Fai offer her a hand and accepts it
My lovely person, hold me forever
Tsukiko looks at Fai as they joined their traveling companions, then, the moonflower flies out of her reach after a gust of wind
Tsubasa logo appears
You always tell me about your love for me
Syaoran got down to one knee in front of Sakura and takes out a small box from his pocket
With serious words
A drunk Mokona knocks it away as she teased a blushing Syaoran and a confused Sakura
Initially there was a question mark over my head
Tomoyo looked at the bouquet of veronicas, lotuses and red and white roses with curiosity
Because your words were too philosophical
Then looked at a blushing Kurogane
But then we talked and I can understand you better now
Before smiling happily and accepting the gift to the ninja's relief
With a deep breath, you whispered
Fai hugs Tsukiko tightly, whispering something shocking in her ear
A multi-coloured love message
He then gives her a beautiful silver moon crescent hairclip
Don't worry, I believe
Tsukiko accepts it and lets Fai put it in her hair
Your words
She then turns away, blushing, with a soft smile on her face
A beautiful love song
Kurogane, Syaoran and Fai charge towards men dressed in black
Never changing
The scene changes to Tsukiko using `Getsuryuu to protect Sakura and Mokona
Please keep singing it to me
Chan is also fighting alongside them, but dressed in traditional Chinese robes and using a weapon engulfed in flames
Until my heart stops,
Sakura runs towards Syaoran, wanting to make sure that he's all right
Until this time ends
Tomoyo prays for Kurogane's health and safety as she dreams about them
My lovely person, hold me forever
Fai and Tsukiko stand back to back, fingers intertwined, and both look at the sky, squeezing each other's hands for reassurance
"Morning," Fai greeted Kurogane as the latter entered the dining room.
"Little Wolf and the others left already… They wanted to buy some things," Tsukiko explained as Kurogane looked around.
"How come neither of you went with them?" he asked. "Didn't you wake up early too?"
"Tsuki-hime wanted Kuro-chii to know about that before we go out ourselves," Fai explained. "So, Daddy…"
"Who let you call me "Daddy"?!"
"Well, lookie there," Tsukiko said as she brought a plate of food. "It's yesterday's race."
"Yesterday's news. Yesterday, in the "Dragonfly" preliminaries, first place went to "Tsukihime"." A picture of a smiling Tsukiko was shown.
"Hyuu! Tsuki-hime looks cute like that!"
"Second place went to –"
"Kuro-sama! How cool!" Fai exclaimed. "You know? No one watching this news channel would suspect how ki – nd you are to the children."
"YOU SHUT UP!"
"I'll bring him away then, Aniki," Tsukiko sighed as she served breakfast. "Syaoran and Sakura should be back before us though."
"Whatever."
"So, where are we going?" Fai asked as they drove through the streets.
"A jewelry shop," Tsukiko answered. "You still have to give Yuuko-san a gift for White Day, right?"
"Ah, with all of the excitement, I forgot about it," Fai said sheepishly. "So, what kind of gifts can I get her?"
"Something valuable and pretty. Since she is a woman, jewelry and clothes usually suffice, but rare items work as well."
"And what about Chan? She sent the other chocolates, right?" Fai asked.
"Something red or with flame patterns, I guess." Tsukiko replied. "I don't think that they have any weapons we could buy for her since she doesn't like guns very much."
"And after we finish shopping?"
"You're the one who asked me out, so shouldn't you know where you want to bring me?"
Fai smiled. "I thought that Tsuki-hime might want to go somewhere else."
"Just surprise me," Tsukiko decided. "Ah! Look, there's a jewelry store!"
"Why did you go back there after I got in the car?" Tsukiko asked. They had bought gifts for Yuuko, Chan and Chii from the jewelry and clothing stores in the mall. Tsukiko also bought some food for Watanuki so he won't have to cook that day.
"It's a secret," Fai teased.
"Whatever floats your boat," she shrugged. "So…"
"Close your eyes, alright?" Fai asked. "Don't open them until I tell you to."
"You do know that I fall asleep in cars easily, right?"
"I don't mind."
"Fine then. Wake me up when we get there."
"…Tsuki-hime. Tsuki-hime. Wake up."
"Ugh…" Tsukiko opened her eyes. "Where are we?"
"Why don't you see for yourself?" Fai said he got out of the car.
Tsukiko rubbed her eyes before taking off her seat belt. She then got out of the car and stretched a little.
"Now where did you bring me…" Her eyes widened in shock. "No way…"
"I heard from Mokona that you didn't go to amusement parks much, so when Tomoyo said that her company opened one, I thought of bringing you here."
"Thank you so much!" Tsukiko hugged Fai tightly.
Fai's eyes widened a bit at her response, before finally deciding to settle for a smile.
"You're welcome. Now, why don't we enjoy ourselves?" Fai suggested. "We still have some time before the finals after all."
"Yes!"
"So, where do you want to go first?" Fai asked after they entered the park.
"We should line up for the roller coasters," Tsukiko suggested. "It's a weekday, so there shouldn't be too many people waiting in line."
"You mean those over there?" Fai pointed towards a structure.
"Yup," Tsukiko nodded. "Shall we?"
"Your wish is my command."
"This place is like Edonis' Fairy Park," Fai observed as they ate crepes.
"You're right. And both are more advanced in technology than Japan," Tsukiko added. "This is much more fun than the parks back home!"
"I think that we should head back after we look around the stalls a bit. Kuro-papa will get mad if I don't bring you back in time."
"Please don't say that. Yuuko-san is going to tease me forever," Tsukiko groaned.
"You there! The blonde man and his black-haired girlfriend!" a stall owner called out. "Would you like to try a game?"
"What kind of game?" Fai asked.
"A shooting game," the man replied. "You put on one of those helmets and take a gun. When the game starts, you'll see some Piffle Princess Corporation logos flying around. Your goal is to shoot as many as you can before a minute is over. Depending on your score, your reward will be more expensive, or less."
"That sounds interesting," Fai smiled. "So, Tsuki-hime, what do you say? Do we give it a try?"
"Why don't we make this a competition, then?" Tsukiko suggested.
After finishing their crepes and paying the stall owner, both put on their helmets and readied their guns. Within the next sixty seconds, incessant bips could be heard until a buzz sound signaled the end of the game.
Tsukiko sighed as she took off her helmet. "You won."
"Don't be so sad, Tsuki-hime. You were pretty good too," Fai reassured her.
The stall owner just looked at the scores with bulging eyes.
"Sir, excuse me," Tsukiko said. Seeing that there was no response, Tsukiko snapped her fingers. "Sir!"
"Uh, what?" The man looked at both players carefully. "Sorry, it's just that no one had such a high score for a long time. You both won the best prizes!"
"The best prizes?" Fai repeated. He then looked at the board inside the stall.
1st- 80 and more (custom objects)
2nd- 60 and more (big plushies)
3rd – 50 and more (watches)
4th- 35 and more (little plushies)
5th- 20 and more (key chains)
"So that means we each get a custom object then," Tsukiko concluded before turning towards the stall owner. "What is a custom object, exactly?"
"Ah yes, please wait a moment," the man disappeared through a door. He soon came out, holding a carton box. "I don't know what's in there, but the president said only to give this to a couple who wins the best prize."
"Couple, huh…" Tsukiko blushed.
"Woah. I wonder what's in there," Fai said as he opened the box. "Tsuki-hime, take a look at this."
"What is it, Fai?" Tsukiko looked over his shoulder. "Oh my…"
In the box were two teddy bears, one white and one black. There were four ribbons next to the bears, two red ones and two blue ones.
"These were made by the president herself you know," the stall owner boasted.
Tsukiko took the black bear and a blue ribbon to tie the ribbon around the bear's neck. Fai copied her with the other bear, but with a red ribbon.
"Thank you very much," Tsukiko bowed as she held her bear.
"It's nothing, really," the man replied. "I was beginning to wonder if anyone would ever win them. Oh, and good luck in the finals."
"Huh?"
"You're Tsukihime and Tsubame, right? That was an excellent performance."
Fai smiled. "Thank you."
"I see you haven't changed," Tsukiko heard Yuuko say as she and Fai returned to the trailer. "No, if anything, you're even stronger than you were then."
"I just wanna get back to my own world," Kurogane declared as both Tsukiko and Fai walked next to them, purchases and bears in hand.
"I don't want to go back to my world," Fai added.
"Besides you two, it seems that Princess Sakura has something to say," Yuuko looked towards the desert princess.
"Um… What do you mean by "price"?"
"It's nothing you have to worry about," Yuuko reassured her.
"By the way, for the Dimensional Witch to go out of her way to contact us, there must be something very important to discuss," Fai said.
"It's White Day!" she announced happily.
"Eh?! Already?" Sakura asked. "I completely forgot about it!"
"I guess that Fai and I made it on time then," Tsukiko chuckled at Sakura and Syaoran's expressions.
Yuuko turned towards Fai and her. "I see that you have been having a good time."
"We went to an amusement park today," Tsukiko told her. "I had a lot of fun."
"I see. And I guess that you won those teddy bears in the amusement park?"
"Well… yes…"
"Ah! Tsukiko and Fai are love-love!" Mokona exclaimed.
"What's going on?" they could hear Chan ask. "Ah, Tsukiko, Mokona, everyone."
"Happy White Day, Chan," Tsukiko smiled. "Mokona, can you send the presents to them?"
"Leave it to me!" Mokona spit out five packages before sending them to Yuuko's Japan.
"I also have something for you to send," Fai said as he reached for the small bags. Holding them out to Mokona, he waited for her to send them as well.
"I have received the compensation for the Valentine's Day chocolate," Yuuko stated as she took two packages.
"As for the gifts for the others, I'll make sure that they get them," Chan reassured Tsukiko. "Speaking of which… Mokona, I need you to get this to Tsukiko."
The white Mokona spit out a small white box.
"That's only from me though. The others haven't come by yet."
"Thank you for the gift, Chan," Tsukiko bowed.
"You too. So, how has the journey been so far?"
"After Yuuko-san told us about White Day, we went to Fort Bit City, the Principality of Daroga and the Country of Song in that order. We met alternate selves of you, Yagetsu, Watanuki and a few others there."
"The Country of Song, huh?" Chan repeated sadly. "And how was the race?"
"We all passed the preliminary rounds, but Tsuki-hime is first place!" Fai announced.
"Congratulations to all of you then."
"As for the rest of the White Day presents, if you make me wait too much longer, the compensation will triple in value."
"What?!" Kurogane exclaimed. "Triple? You've got to be joking!"
"Yuuko-san doesn't joke, Aniki. If you want, I can help you look for something," Tsukiko suggested.
"Tch."
"Well then, see you later."
Yuuko's image disappeared, leaving the group silent.
Toc. Toc.
"Excuse me, Sakura-san, are you home?"
"It's Tomoyo-san!" Sakura exclaimed.
Syaoran hurried to open the door and let the president in with two of her bodyguards.
"You sure look happy," Tomoyo stated as she saw Kurogane retaliate against Mokona and Fai.
"Ah! Hello, Tomoyo-san!" Sakura greeted with her customary warm smile. "I'll get some refreshments for you right away!"
"No, Sakura," Tsukiko put a hand on the princess' shoulder. "Fai and I will take care of those. Why don't you just sit down and talk with Tomoyo-san?"
"Is it really okay?" Sakura asked as she looked between the two. "You just came back and your arms are full…"
Taking notice of the bundle in said "couple's" arms, Tomoyo gasped in delight.
"I remember those! I made them myself!" she exclaimed as she put her hands together. "Did you know that there is a legend about teddy bears' birthdays?"
"Teddy bears'…" Syaoran began.
"Birthdays?" Sakura ended, just as confused.
"You don't know?" Tomoyo asked kindly. "It's said the day you tie a ribbon around a teddy bear's neck, it's his birthday. Also, if you give a teddy bear to the one you like and he or she names the bear after you, your love will last forever!"
Tsukiko blushed. She remembered the first time she heard that legend… They're never going to let her live it down now.
Fai chuckled at her futile attempt to hide behind the black teddy bear as the others began to stare. She acted so cute sometimes!
"So, Fai-san, Tsukiko-san," Tomoyo continued pleasantly. "Have you named your bears yet?"
"We haven't had the chance," Fai admitted, "but I wouldn't mind naming it Tsuki-chan!"
"Why "Tsuki-chan"? Isn't her name "Tsukiko"?" Tomoyo cocked her head to the side.
"Tsuki-chan is cuter," Fai replied, smiling, "and since I'm already calling her "Tsuki-hime"…"
"I'm going to the kitchen," Tsukiko declared hurriedly as she escaped the inquiring stares.
"It's love-love!" Mokona exclaimed as she began pirouetting on the table. "Fai and Tsukiko are sitting on a tree, K-I-S….Oomph!"
Kurogane had Mokona squished between his hands. "Stop singing!"
"What, Kuro-papa, don't you approve?" Fai asked slyly.
"Why you stupid mage…"
"It's delicious," Tomoyo complimented after tasting the cake. The residents have calmed down by the time Tsukiko came back, tray in hand.
"I made it with Sakura," Mokona told the president.
"That's wonderful," Tomoyo smiled.
"Sakura-chan's cooking is getting better and better," Fai declared.
"It's because Fai-san and Tsukiko taught me in an easy-to-understand fashion," Sakura replied modestly.
"May I call you "Sakura-chan" as well?" Tomoyo asked eagerly.
"Of course." Sakura leaned towards the other girl. "Can I call you "Tomoyo" then?"
"Yes, of course you can." Tomoyo then looked towards Tsukiko. "I'd like to call you "Tsukiko-chan", if you don't mind."
"Please do," the priestess smiled with her female friends.
"How sweet," Fai commented with a grin. "Cute girls smiling so happily."
"Mokona is smiling too, see," the creature gesture towards her face. "Mokona is cute too."
"That white manju is just like a kite string!" Kurogane retorted evilly.
"Were there really people disrupting the preliminaries?" Syaoran asked worriedly.
"Why do you ask?" Tomoyo inquired politely, her expression solemn.
"Today, we met some people that said so," Syaoran revealed. "Shougo-san and Nokoru-san told me that."
"I see," Tomoyo looked down sadly. "So Nokoru-san showed you the videotape…"
"The lie detector looked just like a normal chair," Mokona told Fai.
"That was quite an invention," the mage commented.
"He said he grew up with you," Sakura added.
"Yes, that's true."
"Shougo-san said he was in the national guard," Syaoran told her.
"That's true as well," Tomoyo still didn't meet their gaze.
"Tomoyo, if you'll allow me to call you that," Tsukiko sat down. "Why are you so distressed?"
"No. It's nothing," Tomoyo lied as Kurogane and Fai watched her intently. "I'm just worried about something…"
"Are you concerned about what took place in the preliminaries?" Syaoran guessed.
"I'm very sorry about that."
"Is there anything we can do to help?" Sakura asked her new friend.
"Thank you very much," Tomoyo replied sincerely. "But, as the president of the company, I am responsible for preventing such things from happening." She finally lifted her head. "Currently, our company's inquiry branch has begun investigating the contestants and any related personnel We will definitely single out the person behind these activities," she finished with conviction.
Tsukiko glanced furtively at Kurogane, only to see that he had noticed as well.
"So this is what Tomoyo came to tell us today?" Mokona asked as she cocked her "head" to the right.
"No," Tomoyo stood up. "Actually…" She leaned on the table, grabbing Sakura and Tsukiko's hands. "What will you wear for the finals?!"
"Huh?" both girls replied, startled at the sudden change.
"Have you two decided yet?"
"No, not yet," Sakura replied.
"I was thinking about wearing the same thing as in the preliminaries," Tsukiko answered.
"In that case, allow me to make you something!" Tomoyo urged. "I've already thought up the perfect racing costume for my uber-cute Sakura-chan 3 As for Tsukiko-chan, I know just the thing for you!" She pulled both girls towards her. "Wearing my homemade attires, Sakura-chan and Tsukiko-chan soar, flutter and skim through the air! It's too perfect…"
Kurogane and Syaoran stared at the young president with shock as Fai and Mokona smiled, watching the scene with amusement.
"Mokona wants a racing costume too," she declared.
"I'll take care of it," Tomoyo assured her.
"Um… Tomoyo-chan…" Sakura sweat-dropped at the scene.
"Aniki," Tsukiko said as she joined the others. "How did you manage?"
"I can't wait for my new contest attire," Mokona exclaimed as she danced on Fai's head.
Tsukiko smiled wryly. The sun had set an hour ago and they were all outside either working on the Dragonflies or, in Syaoran and Sakura's case, practicing.
"Tomoyo-chan really is full of energy," Fai remarked. "Sakura-chan is also practicing hard for the upcoming competition," he added, looking at the sky.
"Just like this, keep a high altitude!" Syaoran instructed from behind Sakura.
"Okay!"
"Go, Sakura!" Mokona cheered as both Dragonflies zoomed past.
"But those irregularities," Fai said as Mokona floated away from the trio. "Could it have something to do with Kuro-rii's feeling that we're being watched?"
"I felt a cold tingling sensation a bit after Tomoyo came by," Tsukiko revealed. "Did you sense someone watching us back then, Aniki?"
"Ah, for some reason, I feel that we have to be very cautious during the finals."
"Not to mention…" Tsukiko added with a frown.
"Now brake!" they heard Syaoran tell Sakura.
"Got it!" came the determined reply.
"Kya - !" Sakura rushed forward with even more speed.
"That's the gas pedal! Princess - !" Syaoran reached out desperately.
"She's so cute," Fai chuckled. "Especially Sakura-chan."
"Princess," Tsukiko heard Syaoran exclaimed as he dove after Sakura.
"Kya – "
"Sakura is the best," Mokona cheered as she bounced.
"Oi, you're sure that she'll be alright?" Kurogane shook his head.
"Aniki is such a worrywart," Tsukiko teased. "Don't worry. Knowing Sakura and her luck, she'll be fine."
"…"
"So maybe she won't be completely fine," she amended, "but this is something she decided to do. If we don't give her space to grow, she'll remain as she is."
"Tsuki-hime is so philosophical," Fai smiled as he supported his head with both hands.
"I'm going to take a shower. Tomorrow is our last day before the finals; might as well enjoy," Tsukiko said as she stretched. "I'll take care of dinner afterwards."
Tsukiko lay on the bed, the other blue ribbon in her hand. It was a very pretty shade, she decided, royal blue, it seemed. It'd be a shame to leave it in her bag, but she rarely wore anything in her hair. It's usually because she didn't want her opponents to cut the ribbons, and even since Shura, she had a good reason to fear that.
Speaking of the ribbon, there was also the bear, she noticed as she turned around. Sitting side by side were the prizes both she and Fai had won earlier that day. Black and white, blue and red, yin and yang…
"Two halves of a whole," she completed out loud. "Fai and… me?"
She hadn't wanted to give the black bear a red ribbon; it would have reminded her too much of Kurogane. Now that she looked at her bear, she noticed how lonely it seemed, even though it had a companion. That same lonely look he had when they were alone… That same look she had been able to have him show her…
"Why are you so lonely, Fai?" Tsukiko asked the bear, knowing that it would answer. "Isn't there anything I can do?"
"Maybe there is," the mage's voice came from behind her. "Maybe there isn't."
"Fai," Tsukiko sat up. "I didn't notice you come in."
"So, you're naming the bear after me?" he asked.
Knowing that he was avoiding a subject neither had dared to talk about, Tsukiko looked back at the teddy bear. For some reason, it seemed just a little less sad.
"I guess I am."
"It's White Day already," Fai said as he sat on the bed.
"It is," Tsukiko acquiesced.
"I still haven't thanked you properly for the white chocolate," he continued.
"You don't need to. I'm not like Yuuko-san."
"But I want to."
Tsukiko turned around, only to find herself face to face with the mage. He was holding a small box, wrapped and decorated with a white ribbon. After receiving an encouraging nod, the girl gently took the box to unwrap it. Finally, she slowly lifted the box' cover and peered inside.
It was a hairclip with the shape of a moon crescent. The crescent itself was made out of some precious blue stone (fluorite?) and encased with silver patterns that made a dragon.
"Fai… This gift, I can't…"
"I found it in the shop from earlier," Fai told her. "It looked a lot like the one you left in Shara, so I thought that it could be a good replacement."
"Fai…"
"Please. For me."
Tsukiko looked down, not knowing what to do. Fai then noticed the ribbon she still held and smiled. The mage slid the ribbon through her fingers and attached it to the hairclip.
"I'll put it on for you, alright?" Fai asked.
It was done in complete silence.
"I was right," Fai stated with a smile. "You look beautiful."
Tsukiko blushed, hoping that the lack of light would conceal it, and took off the gift, only to put it on a small table at her bedside before slipping in her covers.
"Fai?" she spoke after they both lay on the bed, face to face.
"What is it, Tsuki-hime?"
"Thank you," Tsukiko finally said as she closed her eyes.
Fai smiled before going to sleep as well.
"You're welcome."
As they cross over the oceans of stars
Lengthening before they eyes
Tsukiko's image appear in the night sky and she cupped a star before blowing it away, turning it into a shooting star
The birds' shadow softly see of the surface of the earth
The star slowly turns into a group of birds and when they arrived in front of Fai, one of them perched itself on Fai's hand
With all the emotions I've experienced
Up until yesterday packed tight into a beautiful box
Passing pictures of the Tsubasa group and Yuuko's group, Tsukiko went to open a small box where the moon crescent hairclip lay
Let us journey endlessly
Tsukiko puts it on her hair before turning around to see her friends ready to leave
Each with our own destinations in mind
Tsukiko looks at their backs, seeing the different paths they walk on.
We're searching for a trajectory
She clenched her chest before turning around
So that we may change vague words into the future
To face a clear blue sky, eyes burning with determination
My line of vision became higher
The Tsubasa group fly through the sky together as they headed for the same destination
And just like that I'll fly
Until it becomes a nostalgic memory
Tsukiko looked at every one of her companions before sending a quick prayer
I will remember forever
Tsukiko tapes the picture of them flying together in her album
The secret words that are hiding
She writes a few words on it before putting it in a bookshelf
In the corner of the classroom
On the spine of the album was written "Most Treasured Times" in an unknown language
