"Really, that's cool then you really need to hang out more; don't let me get in way you only got a couple of weeks right now." Harry moves away to the living room once more.
Adam looked up as Harry walked in. "So Lizzie told you about us?"
"Yeah, she did why didn't you tell me? I would have stayed out of the way. I know you don't get to see her much." Harry answers
Adam stood up, "Let's go talk out on the porch?"
"Sure, Adam.'' Harry follows him outside and flops into a loungers.
"I understand that I may not get to see her that often, but it doesn't bother me." Adam stated softly, he was shy when talking to someone. "I understand a lot more things then you know."
"No Adam, she's your girlfriend first; I'm just a cousin that forces his way into her life. You need your time together, i don't want her to be unhappy because i got in the way." Harry folds himself in the chair.
"That is where you are mistaken, since I've known her, she had a sadness around her that she tried to hide by teaching children self-defense, teasing Bulk and Skull, which those two are idiotic, but they are friends to Lizzie, even if Bulk doesn't get the hint, she's taken. But she always was missing something that she didn't want to voice, but I know what it is now." Adam responds
Harry looks at him curious as to the teens' meaning.
"Lizzie has been alone for three years, she was missing her family, we're just replacements, we can't compare to real family ties. I'm just a boyfriend, which she might get tired of me and move onto someone else, who captures her interest. You are family, she didn't have to take you in when she found out you both were cousins, she could have said 'Oh well, we're blood-related but I don't want anything to do with you.' but she didn't, she opened her house, and her heart to you." Adam explains
Harry sniffed back a tear "You're right she didn't but at the same time you get so little time until you both graduate and even if you do break up i want you both to be happy. I don't want to get in the way of that you have enough with the monsters and that monkey dude."
"We are happy as we can be, we're dating, that just means we are getting to know each other on a more personal level." Adam replies, "As for the monsters, who cares. They're either out for our destruction or Lizzie's capture. We deal with it as it comes, as a team."
While Adam and Harry were talking. Lizzie places the pan of lasagna into the oven and looks at Tommy.
"I know there will be a time when we have to hang up the helmets, do you think Harry might have what it takes to be my replacement?" Lizzie questions
"I don't know he seems brave enough."
"Yes, you have to be brave or very stupid to be a Power Ranger, If I get him ready without him knowing why, I think he might just be my successor." Lizzie responds, "I just don't know, why I'm even planning this, we have a lot of time before we're called on to choose successors."
"Still if you think he can fill the helmet then go right ahead." Tommy replies
Lizzie nods, "Help me set the table?"
"Sure thing." And begins to gather plates and silverware.
Forty-five minutes later, Lizzie put the steaming pan on the table in the middle. Each of her friends, and cousin came into the dinning room, smelling the scent of food.
"Lizzie, your lasagna looks great as always." Billy compliments the others nod in agreement as they all sit down.
"Thanks." Lizzie replies, before looks at Tommy, "Well oh fearless leader, start handing out slices."
Harry just watches and waits, Tommy makes sure to give Harry a slice just a little smaller than the others.,"Well let's dig in."
Everyone starts eating while Harry just picks at his food.
"Harry, what's wrong?" Lizzie questions, concerned
"Nothing just thinking how great this all is better than any holiday I've ever had." He smiles but his eyes say something else is worrying him.
"Oh, and something else is bothering you, what is it?" Lizzie questions "I taught enough children from your age and down, to know when something is eating at them, so spill it."
"No really, Liz. Nothing the matter just a project Ron, Hermione, and i got ourselves into and just thinking about their end that's all." He gives a nervous giggle at the end.
Lizzie shook her head, "Okay, but if its going to get you in trouble later, I want to know about it, maybe I can help."
Harry looks at the others "Liz said you're really smart like Hermione-smart, can i ask you some questions later."
"Depends on the questions and if we can answer them." Tommy responds
" Sure its about a name i heard about he's supposed to be some kind of legend so I wonder if any of you heard of him. His name was Nicolas Flammel."
Lizzie nearly choked on her bite of food. She coughed.
Harry and Adam rush over "Liz, you okay? Here have a drink of water."
"That name, why in the name of the Power would you want to know about him!" Lizzie gasped out.
Harry paled "no real reason just heard a couple of professor talk about him but we couldn't find any books on him."
"You're lying." Lizzie states, "what's the real reason, tell me the truth."
He looks to the others "how much do they know first"
"All of it, kid. Just like you know about me being the White Ranger." Tommy replies, "We're good at secrets."
"Well that just proves my thoughts, dang it. I didn't want to know. Fine, we know something hidden on the third floor however we haven't figured it out, all we know is that it was at the bank now its at the school and Flammel helped make it." Harry explains
"Merlin's saggy pants! That old goat! How dare he put that into the school!" Lizzie exclaims "If I wasn't a student, he would be getting at thousand Howlers from me!"
"So you know what is it tell me please."
"The Sorcerer's Stone also called the Philosopher's Stone. Its rumored to create the Elixir of Life." Lizzie answers
"Then someone gonna try and bring back Voldemort with that stone it has to be that." Harry surmised
"Most likely, which is bad, but not as bad as Zedd and Rita, they want the whole world, while that dark wizard just wants the magical world." Lizzie responds
"The worst part is that I think one of the professors is involved, he maybe in league or a dark wizard themselves but we haven't figured out who it is yet."
"The troll that was in the girls' lavatory, it was a distraction." Lizzie guessed, as her mind formulated theories on who would be involved with trying to resurrect Voldemort. "Some people fear the name, but I don't. Fearing a name, would be fearing Rita and Zedd's name, its plain stupid."
"Let's table this matter for now." Billy declares "And finish our supper that Lizzie had prepared."
Harry and the others nods. "You're right, Billy. Let's eat and enjoy ourselves before tin grin spoils the fun." Harry adds
Just as Harry had mentioned the nickname, the six-tone chime sounded breaking was a fun evening of friendship.
"I just had to open my mouth didn't I? I'll go to the command center see you all later okay."
The Rangers stood up, Lizzie looked forlornly at the dinner, she had so slaved over and it was all to waste.
"If I get the 'Join us' speech again, I'm going to put my foot up someplace Goldar won't like." Lizzie states
"You'll do that anyway, Lizzie. Now go out there and win so we can eat this food, I'm hungry." Rocky replied
Seven colors of multi-colored lights, left the house, and one beam of slivery white.
Harry had a rough landing in the command center. "Ow really got to learn how to land better my bum cant take all the abuse."
Lizzie rolled her eyes, "Second time teleporting, give it time." she looked up at Zordon.
"Behold the viewing globe." Zordon orders
Harry backed away to the far side of the room.
On the viewing globe, the image was Goldar, putties, and some type of mix-and-match monster.
"Rita and Zedd are loosing their touch with the monsters." Lizzie states
"Looks like an old raggedy Ann doll but much uglier." Kimberly
Zordon gave the information on the monster.
"Its Morphin' Time!" Tommy commanded
The seven rangers morphed and went into action.
Harry sat down and waited worry clear on his face.
"Why are you so worried, Harry?" Alpha asks for both him and Zordon.
"She says its no big thing and that she's tough but she just came into my life and i don't want to lose her." Harry replied
"I have known Elizabeth for two years, ever I felt the Dragonzord coin activate again after it lost power when in Tommy's possession, I have never seen a human worthy of the mantle of Power as she. She fights for what she believes is right, fair, and just." Zordon states "Even I do not know how she came to possess the coin but she unlocks the true power of the Green Ranger."
"Yes Zordon, but i still worry; I just get this family and I know how much the rangers risk ever time." Harry replies, "And here I sit adding to her worries now as well."
"Who says she's worried, all the rangers have someone that can be used against them, they don't let it get to them, that is why they make a good team." Zordon replies, "What would you do if your roles were in reverse?"
"Do my best to keep her safe, other than that i don't know sir."
"So you would allow others to perish to protect someone you barely know?" Zordon questions, his eyes bore into the back of Harry's head.
"No that would be wrong all life is to be saved, if i knew she even thought that i would hate her and i know it would be the same for me."
Zordon was worried about this young boy, something was nagging at his senses that didn't involve the child directly but it just seemed like there was two forces within the same shell.
"I mean if the choice was me and all of angel grove or the school sacrifice me let the others live." harry states
"No need for over dramatics, Lizzie would do the same for your school and the world." Zordon replies with what could only be paternal pride in his voice.
Harry looked up at the viewing globe, just in time to see the Green Ranger launch herself off the White and Red Rangers' shoulders into an airborne somersault kick.
"Yeah Lizzie kick that monster's butt." Harry fist pumps as the kick connects.
"Let's give it to him!" Lizzie states, as the seven rangers summoned the power cannon. Each put in a sphere of their own color.
The monster blows up.
-on the moon-
Zedd snarled in rage as the monster was destroyed for the first time, his aura pulsed red.
"I don't want that Ranger as anything other then gone! Zeddy!" Rita screeched
Both evil husband and wife crossed their staffs and chanted. "By the powers and force of lightning, make our monster grow!"
-back on earth-
Harry saw the monster grow and the rangers summoned their zords.
The battle after that was short with the Mega Thunderzord destroying the monster completely.
The rangers returned to Command Center, they powered down.
Lizzie smirked "Now I am hungry, got to love battling forces of evil to sharpen the appetite."
Harry tackled Lizzie in a hug then looked over at the other rangers and did the same but with less enthusiasm, his mouth going a mile a minute.
"What?" was the reply to Harry's rambling.
Harry slowed down and started over talking about the fight and how super everyone looked and a bunch of thank yous. Finally, Harry stopped talking and just beamed at the rangers.
Lizzie looked at the others, who in turn nodded to her to act as spokesperson. "Harry, we defend the earth because its our home, we were chosen for this because we have what it takes, we don't need thanks for doing a job. That's like thanking you for something you have no memory of doing."
