Somewhere in a different dimension, a time vortex opened up and ejected Sonic and the group in a cold, dark gloomy room. One by one, they screamed as they fell flat on the floor. Bokkun, Bocoe, Decoe, Eggman, Cream, Cheese, Tails, Amy, Rouge, Knuckles, Sonic, and lastly, Chris. Everybody laid in a dog pile. They were extremely vertiginous from their unusual journey.

"Whoa...what...just happened?" Sonic uttered woozily.

"Unh...I think my brain shifted backwards." Chris said, rubbing his head.

"Oooohhh...I feel dizzy," Tails moaned.

"Unh...I feel...weightless!" Amy groaned.

"Coming...Mama..." Cream groaned in daze. Cheese squeaked meekly as he laid there.

Knuckles groaned as he laid on his stomach. "...who took my other half of...sandwich?"

"Uhhhh...I think I got a migraine!" Rouge groaned, rubbing her head. Then she saw that Knuckles was laying on top of her! They both looked at each other awkwardly and blushed. "GET OFF ME!" They both yelled in embarrassment.

Everyone struggled to break apart from the pile.

"I think my tails are tied up!" Tails complained.

"Alright, who's kicking me?" Amy said. Soon, everyone was back on their feet, recovering.

"Whoa...My head is backwards!" Decoe said, turning his head around in its correct position.

"If I had a stomach, I'd might hurl!" Bocoe said.

"Don't hurl on me!" Bokkun piped up.

Eggman rubbed his glasses clean. "It's a good thing we shifted to another loophole or else we would been done for surely." He said.

Sonic got up and brushed his quills. "Whew! Is everyone alright? All here and accounted for?"

"I'm fine," Chris said, flexing his arms. "Boy, we went faster than my grandpa after a bowl of fiber cereal and a glass of prune juice."

Knuckles cracked his neck. "I'm good!"

Tails brushed off his tails. "Me too."

"Me three!" Rouge said, stretching her hips. "I'm just shaken!"

"Ooh...I haven't felt this queasy since I went on the teacup ride in Twinkle Park." Cream said, rubbing her stomach. Cheese held his stomach too.

"My hair's out of place," Amy said. "Talk about a wild ride experience!"

"We must have gone through a time warp by Chaos Control," Tails said. "But why? And how?"

Eggman clenched his fists in fury. "That little freak! When I get my hands that brat..." He growled as he ground his teeth.

The gang suddenly remembered their ordeal with Carter.

Knuckles bared his teeth. "That kid's getting his teeth knocked out!" He growled, shaking his spiked fists. "He's gonna wish he's never been born!"

"Save some for Amy!" The pink hedgehog girl piped up. "I'm knocking his block off!"

The gang surrounded Chris accusingly.

"I hate to say this, Chris, but your cousin's bad seed!" Rouge said. "A real rotten apple in your family tree!"

"Yeah!" Decoe agreed.

"Uh-huh!" Bocoe added next.

"I don't usually talk badly about people, but that Carter is a big fat doo-doo head!" Cream said. "Excuse my cussing!"

"He's the biggest jerk in the world with a capital 'JERK'!" Tails said.

"I'm starting to dislike your cousin, Chris!" Sonic said grudgingly.

"Sorry, I didn't know," Chris said weakly. "Look, why don't we forget about him for now and figure out the biggest problem here."

"What's that?" The group asked

"Where are we this time?"

The gang looked around in inspection. "Good question."

The group decided to check this barren dusty room.

"It looks familiar," Cream said. There were chairs and tables cluttered in the room.

Amy tried to peek through the boarded up windows. "No good! I can't see a thing!"

Eggman examined the room. "Hmm...could it be..."

"I wonder if there's any candy here?" Bokkun said.

Tails looked upstairs. "Hmm, maybe I'll find some answers up there," he said. He twirled his tails and flew himself upstairs. He found a couple of newspaper and rummaged through the pages. "Old newspapers! Let's see..." He read through the headlines and articles until he discovered something. "No...it can't be!" He gasped in shock. "It's not possible!"

"What is it, Tails? What did you find?" Sonic asked.

"We...we're back on Earth!" Tails stated.

Gang are surprised. "What?!"

"How can that be?"

"Not only that, but we've traveled...200 years into the future!" Tails added in amazement.

The gang gasped.

"No way!" Sonic exclaimed.

"The future?" Chris and the robots repeated.

"But how?" Cream asked.

"It's my machine!" Eggman said. "It must have sent us to a distant future! So it really does work! Unbelievable!"

"Carter's got a lot of nerve dropping us here of all places!" Rouge said.

"200 years...hold on!" Sonic said.

"Isn't that..." Tails began to say.

"Where Silver lived?" Chris finished. The gang looked at in each other in interrogation.

"Come on, we can't find answers in here," Sonic said. "Let's find a way out of this place."

He and the others went upstairs higher until they found the exit to the rooftop.

"This way." Sonic said. He pried it open, revealing the outdoors at last.

When he and his friends stepped outside on the rooftop, they viewed a tremendous background of hell. Everyone gasped loudly and gaped in horror as they saw that the entire world was in indeed complete turmoil! The city was still in ruins, buildings shattered, lava churning through the cracked streets, and the sky was pitch black with not a speck of sunlight peaking through the dark clouds. Silver's future is indeed still in scourge.

"OH MY GOSH!" Tails exclaimed.

"What happened here?!" Bokkun exclaimed.

"It's impossible!" Eggman shouted.

"The city...It's all gone!" Amy cried, cupping her mouth in horror.

"Who would do such a thing?" Cream said. Cheese squealed in turmoil.

"A monster would," Knuckles said.

"Not just your everyday monster," Rouge added.

"I have a bad feeling about who did this," Sonic said gravely. "Iblis...Looks like you weren't kidding after all, Silver."

The group walked down the ruined city. "How can this be our future?" Chris said. "This isn't what I expected to be!"

"The future is all gone, thanks to a certain little demon, and I'm not talking about Iblis!" Eggman said. "This was supposed to be my empire! My future! It's not fair!" He threw his fists in the air in a tantrum.

The robots walked by the wrecked buildings. "Oh! This is too horrible!" Decoe said.

"Horribly terrible!" Bocoe added.

"My gosh! Everything around here totaled!" Rouge said. "The jewelry stores, the gift shops, everything Topaz and I hung out trashed!"

"All the electronic stores are completely destroyed!" Tail said.

"All the shopping stores and restaurants are desolated as well!" Amy said.

"This is awful!" Cream said. Cheese chirped in agreement.

"The bakery, and comic an candy stores are gone too!" Bokkun wailed. "No fair!

The bath shop and book store are in shambles too!" Decoe said.

"Those heartless monsters!" Bocoe said.

Chris gasped in shock when he saw an abandoned police station. "Ah! This must be my Uncle Sam's speed station." The lot was packed with wrecked and no-longer-working police vehicles and race cars.

Sonic gazed at them in woe. "I guess the speed team couldn't outrun the Iblis monster." Chris saddened at this.

"Hey, Chris." Tails addressed him.

"Huh? What is it, Tails?" Chris asked.

"Isn't that your school?" The fox pointed to a burned-out elementary school. Chris and the others gasped in shock.

"This...was my school!" The boy said

"We must be back in Station Square," Sonic said.

"Whatever is left of it," Knuckles added.

Sonic, Chris, and the group walked down the boulevard lane until they arrived at Chris' home gateway. (The palm trees and hedges were burned up on the way.) There, they found something more horrible.

"Oh no!" Chris choked in dread. His friends gasped in horror too. The entire Thorndyke Mansion was too in complete shambles! Half of the roof caved in, there's a giant hole on the second story, the fountain was demolished, and the trees and hedges were all dried to bits.

"Not the mansion too!" Sonic cried in aghast.

Chris collapsed to his knees and cried. "My home...it's gone! It's all gone!" He covered his face in sorrow.

The friends felt his pain. "Chris' beautiful home we stayed is destroyed!" Amy said dismally.

"Who would do such an awful thing?" Cream said.

"That's awful, Chris."Really, it is." Rouge said pityingly, rubbing her human ally's back.

"Agreed," the robots said commiseratively. Even Eggman felt pity.

Tails peaked in Chuck's garage and gasped in distress saw that his X-Tornado has been tipped over and rusted to pieces. "Oh no! Not the X-Tornado too!" He cried, horrorstruck. He keeled over beside it and rubbed its paint mournfully. "I wasn't there for you when you needed me. My poor X-Tornado!" Sonic felt his pain too and covered his face in sorrow.

The group decided to explore inside the ruined mansion. Inside, everything was a mess and in shambles. It looked as if no one has lived here for centuries.

"What a mess!" Knuckles said. "It's no better than outside." The gang had to watch their step for broken glass and sharp items.

"Everything used to be so grand, fancy, and homely," Cream said.

"Now it's a graveyard of broken dreams and forgotten memories," Eggman said.

Chris felt anguish from this and walked up the stairs. Sonic had to help him up because the stairs were broken.

Knuckles, Rouge, and the robots explored the hallways. "Sure is a mess," Rouge said. The pictures were knocked over and the wallpaper was peeling. Then they came across a gym room.

"What is that room?" Decoe asked.

"Tanaka's room probably." Knuckles answered. He entered the room. Rouge and the robots followed.

"Has he ever tried building muscles here?" Rouge asked.

Bocoe tried to lift one of those weights. "Urrrrgghh! Sure is heavy!" He grunted. "How does he ever lift those things!"

"He doesn't. Never could," Knuckles replied solemnly. "Probably never will...ever again." He sadly looked at the rusty Japanese Sword at the wall.

"That explains it," Rouge said.

Decoe got on one of those machines and tried to work it. It flung him off.

Upstairs, Chris found himself in his own old bedroom, dusty and messy. He sadly looked, peering over his old toys, broken airplane and a lamp which doesn't work anymore. His bed was broken and the sheets have been torn off. "This was all that's left?" He uttered quietly. He then stepped on something glassy. He looked down and found a framed picture of the whole Thorndyke family. Chris bent down, picked it up and grievingly gazed at it. "Mom...Dad...Grandpa..." He assumed that they are all gone from this world. Sonic peered over the boy's shoulders in sadness. He patted his friend's shoulder in comfort, Chris hugged him back.

Amy, Cream, Cheese, and Bokkun explored Ella's burned out kitchen. It was a mess.

"Ella's kitchen...it's all a wreck!" Amy said softly. She studied the cabinets and electric fried appliances. "And all of her favorite appliances are burned to a crisp."

"It looks like she cooked her very last meal," Bokkun added pityingly. "What a pity. "

"She always makes the best meals in the world," Cream sighed sadly. Cheese chirped sadly. "I wonder if I'll be able to taste them again."

Tails and Eggman explored Chuck's ruined workshop. The electronics and inventions were all inactive and covered in ashes. "Old Chuck's inventions, they were supposed to be used for good!" Tails said, holding the gadgets in his hands. "But now it looks like they won't be getting their chance!" He hugged them closely like they're living things. He must be missing his senior old friend and working on inventions with him.

"We'll never forget the old chap," Eggman stated in a eulogistic tone. He looked at the gizmos. "Think we could use this gizmo scraps for something useful?" Tails looked at him queerly.

Next, Chris and Sonic roamed in the large backyard. Chris looked around in sadness. He spotted a broken-down grill.

"My dad's favorite grill." He said, touching it. "We used to invite some close friends over for a barbecue and pool party here." Then he explored around some more. The vegetation and the pools were all dried up. The chairs and picnic tables were broken down. Chris sighed deeply in sorrow.

"Hey, Chris! Check it out!" Sonic called from the big pool. Chris approached over there and spotted his friend at the bottom of the dried up pool.

"Remember this spot, Buddy?" Sonic smiled lightly. He was trying to cheer Chris up. He played around in the empty pool and sat on it. "This is where you and I first met!"

Chris smiled lightly and remembered the night he pulled Sonic out of pool and introduced each other for the first time. "Of course, Sonic. I could I ever forget?" He said. "It's like fate bought you here for a reason. I needed a friend like you and there you are. You were always there for me."

Sonic nodded in agreement. The two regarded at each other at great attachment.

Knuckles arrived in the backyard. "Come on, guys, it's time to go," he said. "There's nothing we can do about it anymore."

And so, Sonic and friends departed the Thorndyke estate and set off to their next unknown destination. Chris took one last look at his ruined mansion before leaving it to rest.

Lightning struck across the black dead sky. Things were not getting any better. In fact the city is rotting worse in the darkness. The planet is no doubt dying by the minute. Sonic and his friends trod through the darkened streets of the cities, not knowing what will become of them. Their feet pattered on the empty roads, echoing through the dark alleys. They are filled up with fear and hopelessness. Even Eggman felt very afraid. As the group walked down the city district, the humans were cowering in the darkness in terror. One man was jabbering in fear. One man was holding a wailing child in his arms, petrified stiff and all. A friar was shaking and holding a sun cross in prayers as if trying to ward off demons. Nobody would talk to them. The gang looked at them in pity. One woman passed by them, crying and whimpering. That spooked them out.

"I'm very scared, you guys," Cream said. "I feel like we're in a real nightmare here." Cheese chirped in fear.

"I know, me too!" Amy said. "I keep thinking that I'm going to wake up soon, safe in my bed."

"Except this isn't a dream, it's reality." Knuckles said gravely.

"I've never seen anything like this!" Rouge said. "What kind of place is this?"

"It's the world of no tomorrow," Eggman said gravely. "I have a feeling that the end is near."

Chris slumped his head and shoulders in sadness. "You okay, Chris?" Sonic asked.

"Silver...I can't believe he's not with us anymore!" Chris said mournfully.

"Yeah, me neither." Knuckles said.

"I miss him." Tails said.

"Me too." Amy said.

"If Mr. Silver were here, he would know about this," Cream said. The gang felt alone and desolate without their future friend around. Even Eggman felt guilty for what he did.

"You know, I feel responsible for what happened to Silver," Sonic said blamefully. "I should have been around to protect him. He'd be here right now if it weren't for me. It's all my fault!"

"It wasn't your fault, Sonic," Chris said.

"Yes, it was," Sonic said. "The last thing I said to him was 'go way'! And look what happened to him! Now I can't even apologized to him! Some hero I am!" He buried his face in shame.

His friends tried to comfort him. "Don't blame yourself!"

"If you're done playing the blame game, we need to focus on our real mission; how to get out of this nightmare!" Eggman said.

The gang took a rest stop. "How indeed?" Knuckles said. "It's not like we're gonna find one Chaos Emerald here in this dark world."

"Yeah! Like Silver said, they're probably consumed by Iblis!" Rouge said.

"Does that mean we're stuck here for good?" Decoe said. Everyone began to feel paranoid.

"Okay, you guy! Cool it!" Sonic said. "We'll find a way! We just got to! I mean, we can't be stuck here forever!"

Suddenly, a shadowy figure stalked through the darkness. Rouge picked up that sound. "You hear that?" She asked.

"Hear what?" The group asked together.

"There's something out there!" Rouge replied. The gang looked around in curiosity.

"There's nothing there, Rouge," Sonic said.

"You're just paranoid because we're in a ruined future," Knuckles presumed.

"It's not paranoia! I know I heard something!" Rouge insisted. "My batty ears don't lie!" Then there another scampering noise. "There it is again! Do you hear it?"

"I heard it!" Bokkun piped up.

"Me too!" Bocoe said.

"So did I!" Decoe added.

"It looks like we're not alone after all," Sonic said wearily. He and the others rose their guards up, getting ready for the unexpected.

Eggman wasn't buying this nonsense. "This is ridiculous!" He uttered. He leaned against a building. "All this paranormal stuff has got you paranoid! I'll eat my goggles if a snarling creature gangs comes up and attacks me from behind!" Abruptly, fiery formed monsters crashed from the windows and seized on the doctor from behind! Eggman screamed as he is being grappled by...Iblis Minions!

Everyone gasped in shock and horror. "Ahh! GET THEM OFF ME!" Eggman screamed, struggling to yank the Iblis Minions off. "GET...THEM...OFF!" He yanked one off him and threw across the streets. It hissed as it got on its feet. Eggman and the group stared at it with freakish eyes.

"What the heck is that?!" Amy shrieked.

"I don't know!" Sonic answered.

Then more of those freak flame monsters came. The gang were intimidated by them. They'd never seen freakish lava creatures like those before. They surrounded the heroes and growled menacingly at them. Decoe and Bocoe held on tightly to each other and quivered fearfully. "Oh my gosh!" They cried.

The flame creatures swung at them, the heroes resisted them. One snagged on Tails' tails and the other grabbed Cream's ears. The youngsters cried out in alarm as they roughly pulled away from them. "Whatever they are, I don't think they're friendly!" Sonic said warningly. He and the others prepared to fight them.

Decoe and Bocoe ran for cover and hid inside a boarded up store. "Eh, we'll be right here in this store!" Decoe said timidly.

"We'll leave the fighting to you guys!" Bocoe added nervously.

Bokkun also hid in the mailbox. "Normally I'd help but I wouldn't want to be in your way!" He squeaked shakily.

"Cowards!" Eggman barked. Suddenly, Iblis Minions creeped up on him. He screamed as he got out his large wrench as defense. "Stay back!" He shouted. "I got my monkey wrench and I'm not afraid to use it!" Unintimidated, the Iblis Minions marched against the doctor who panicky, starting swinging. One grabbed the wrench in its mouth and swallowed it.

"Hey, that was my best wrench!" Eggman roared.

Amy got out her Piko Hammer. "Get back! Stop!" She shouted warningly. The Iblis Minions neared her. "I'm warning you! I will use my hammer!" The Iblis Minion took a strike at her. Amy swung her hammer and bopped it on the head.

Sonic faced an Iblis Minion head on. "Hey, come on, dude. How about we not fight and talk about it like reasonable people?" The flame creature took a claw thrust at him who ducked. "Or NOT!" Sonic spindashed at it and sent it slamming against the wall. It made a crack.

Knuckles charged at his enemy like a enraged bull. "You hungry? Have a knuckle sandwich!" He socked the Iblis Minion's head so hard, its neck may be broken. Rouge yelled as she did a tornado kick against the herd. They flew up in the air and crashed down on the ground. Cream gasped in squeamishness. Rouge smirked as she got on her ground, thinking she had took care of it. "Heh!" She turned around. "What?!" She choked out in horror. The Iblis Minions, unaffected, aroused on their feet, as of they felt no pain at all!

"It didn't work!" Cream cried.

"But how?!" Rouge exclaimed in ghastliness. "No one could be able to withstand that! I put full force on that attack!" Tails who was hovering in the air, yelled out in horror.

The Iblis Minion cracked its head back into correct order and glared menacingly at Knuckles. "This isn't possible!" He sputtered in shock.

The other Iblis Minions also recovered quickly from the damages Sonic and Amy did to them. The hedgehogs gasped in awe and terror. "How can they recovered so quickly?!" Sonic ejaculated.

"I don't think we're dealing with ordinary enemies here!" Tails said.

"You think?!" Sonic shouted.

"Look out!" Chris cried as he pointed out. An Iblis Minion hollered out loud as if calling for help.

From the dark sky, a flock of fiery birds flew over the heroes. The heroes gasped in wonder. "What the!"

The Iblis birds surrounded the frightened Tails. "Whoa! Hey guys, where's the fire?"

"Hold on!" Rouge called. She flew up to aid him, but the circling birds blocked her and prevented her from coming to his aid.

On the ground, the Minions multiplied and surrounded the heroes. "What can we do?!" Amy cried. She frantically swung her hammer at the overwhelming mob.

"We'll just have to keep trying!" Sonic said desperately.

"That's what I like about you hedgehog!" Eggman said sarcastically. "You never give in surrender even if it's staring at you in the eyes!" Sonic put up his dukes.

Unfortunately there are too many Minions! The heroes are in grave trouble. Then suddenly, sharp petals shot from nowhere and stabbed the fighting Iblis Minions. "Huh?!" The hedgehogs inquired.

The petal bombs went off and vaporized the freaks into dust. "What the?" Sonic looked up. A purple cheetah girl dropped in on their side. It's Fuchsia the Cheetah to their assistance!

Cream and Cheese was mobbed by canine-like fire beasts. "Somebody help us!" She screamed as frightened tears fell from her eyes. Then she was lassoed and pulled away from the Iblis mutts by a panda riding on a ostrich. He carried the scared rabbit and Chao to safety. "T-t-thanks, mister!" She managed to say.

"You okay now!" Dodger the Panda said.

Knuckles was about to battle the two-legged Iblis freaks when suddenly, bullets shot from nowhere and hit the fiery creatures. "Huh?" Knuckles looked up.

"Eh?" Eggman looked too.

A large echidna cyborg launched from the building, landed in front of Knuckles, and fired at the Iblis Minions. It is Tiny the Cyborg. He roared as he raged war against the fire monsters. Knuckles stood by him and fought along side.

Next, Tails and Rouge were rescued by two flying squirrels in a twin cartwheel who knocked the flaming bird creatures in the skies. Rex and Felix broke up and stood by the fox and the bat as they got ready to battle some more enemies.

With new friends on their sides, Sonic and co. Fought the flame demons like with everything they got.

"Get em', guys!" Chris cheered.

"Don't give up!" The robots shouted.

"Smash them all!" Bokkun shouted from the mailbox.

"Get them, Whoever-You-Are!" Eggman cheered.

Nearby, more Iblis Minion approached at the unsuspecting young boy. Felix saw it and screamed, "GET AWAY!"

Chris screamed as the Iblis Minions was about to strike him. "No, go away!" He screamed as he tried to shield himself.

"CHRIS! NO!" Sonic and the gang screamed. The future friends gasped as they hoped somebody will drop in and save the poor kid.

Just when the Iblis creature was about to attack Chris, a human adult male jumped in and kicked and punched those freaks, protecting the defenseless boy. Chris gasped and gazed at Israel for the first time who looked behind his shoulder to check up on him. "Who's that?" He asked.

The friends lightened up in relief.

Suddenly, a big Iblis thug stomped behind the long-haired man. "Lookout behind you!" Chris shouted warningly.

Israel quickly withdrew his sword and slashed the Iblis thug in two like it was nothing! Chris gasped in impression. When more short Iblis Minions came, Israel swiped at them amazingly like they're just training dummies! His brave blue eyes reflected the shining blade as he swung around. The strong valiant warrior stood position as the fire foes vanquished into flames in a instant. Chris was impressed by this. "Wow! Wicked cool!" He said admiringly.

The gang who saw that were also impressed and relieved that their friend is safe. "WHOA!"

"Good job, Israel." Fuchsia said.

"Knew we could count on you!" Dodger said.

Chris got closer to his tall rescuer. "Thanks, sir!" He said admiringly.

"You okay?" Israel asked.

Chris caught a glimpse of his face. "No way!" He gasped. "You look like me!"

"You okay?" Israel repeated.

"Yeah, I think so," Chris responded. He suddenly gasped in alarm when he saw something else coming. "Ahh! Here comes more!"

"Stay me behind me!" Israel ordered. Chris hid behind him. A swarm of Iblis Minions confronted them. Israel held out his sword as he was about to fight some more.

The heroes continued to fight the numerous fiery demons altogether with all their strength. One large Iblis Minion spat out fire missiles from its mouth. In slow motion, the fighting heroes eluded them as they zoomed through the battle zone. It was so close that they practically touched them. Israel pulled Chris aside as the flame bullet almost hit them. He held him closely.

"Jump on my back, kid!" Israel instructed, gripping on his sword with both hands.

"Okay!" Chris obeyed and climbed on the man's back and held on. "Now what?"

"Hold on, tight!" Israel said. "I've got this one the bag! My most favorite part!" He started running toward those fire demons at full speed. His sword touched and ground the streets, leaving sparks behind.

Chris gripped on the man's long hair like a bridles on a horse. "Ahh! What are you doing?!" He screamed.

"Dodger, give me a lift!" Israel called out.

"Right!" Dodger threw his lasso out. Israel caught it, got on a large piece of metal, and skied on.

While being towed by Dodger on his ostrich, Israel slashed and reaped at the mobbing Iblis minions like a harvesting machine. Chris hollered as he gripped on. With smooth confidence, Israel wielded his sword like a pro. During that time, the blade reflected his eyes and Chris'. Then they skidded to a halt. The remaining Iblis survivors stood there and was about to chase after them in vengeance. Israel slowly placed his sword back in the scabbard, and when the loud sound of the handle touching the edge, the rest of the Iblis Minions vanquished into dust. He was so lightning fast back there, it looked as if he didn't even touch them! "Totally tight!" Chris said. The heroes exclaimed in awe how human soldier took on those monsters with ease.

"Awesome!" Decoe said.

"Neato!" Bocoe said.

"Impressive swordsman skills!" Eggman commented. "Such flawless character!"

Tiny reloaded his gun and shot some more. "How many more are these buggers do we have to take?!" He shouted.

Knuckles punched more Iblis Minions. "I don't know about you about but I'm getting pooped!" He said.

"Me too!" Rouge said wearily. The heroes were all getting tired.

"We can't keep this up!" Amy shouted.

Israel threw his sword at the remaining Iblis birds like a boomerang, it returned to its owner. He glimpsed at a gas station and got an idea. "Tiny, the gas station!"

"I'm on it, boss!" Tiny aimed at the fuel dispensers, and locked on target. He then shot out his rocket. "RUUUNNN!" He bellowed. He and everyone immediately ran for their lives as the atomic bomb is about to go off. The rocket missile flew through the throng of unsuspecting Iblis Minions and hit the fuel dispensers... BOOM!

The heroes sped away as fast as they could and hid behind the roadblocks as the giant explosion boomed behind them. They ducked and covered themselves as the impact swept over them. They kept their heads down and covered their faces. The explosion wiped out all the Iblis Minions in a instant. Then when it was over, the heroes perked up and cautiously got up.

Very carefully, they peered over the roadblocks to see if the coast is clear. The explosion had died down, embers flickered on the battle site, black smoke cleared from the blown up gas station, and the place was nothing but a pile of soot and remains. But there are no signs of Iblis Minions. The group guardedly examined the view closely just to make sure everything's clear...for now. They decided that the danger is over and they let themselves relax. "Phew! That's the last of them!" Dodger said, winding up his lasso.

"I hope no more of those things show up," Rex said.

"I wouldn't bet on that!" Felix said.

Sonic rubbed his foreword in relief. "Phew! One second there and we would have been done for!" He said. "Thanks for the help, guys!" He gives Israel and his friends a thumbs up.

"And for saving our lives." Chris added.

"Of course!" Fuchsia said.

"No problem." Israel said, putting his sword back in the scabbard. "It's seems like these guys are getting harder to beat!"

"I'm gettin' tired of this baloney." Tiny said, adjusting his hand gun.

"Just what were those things?" Rouge asked. The future guys looked at the present friends like they were crazy.

"Don't you know anything?" Fuchsia asked with surprise. "Those were Iblis Minions! You know, Iblis' pets!"

"So those were Iblis Minions!" Sonic said. The gang were a little confused.

"Hello! Have you been laying your head in the dirt all this time?" Tiny boomed.

"Iblis Minions were spawns of the fiery devil that roamed around the Earth for a long time and terrorized the innocent citizens!" Dodger explained.

"Really?" The gang inquired.

"Where did you get off!" The twins uttered with shock. The future friends didn't realize that the new people are from the past.

"It's okay, guys." Israel spoke up. "You're not from here, are you?"

"Well, I...we were...actually no, we're not." Sonic admitted.

"Yeah, I can tell by your clothing that you're from another timeline." Israel said. The gang looked awkwardly at their clothes and shoes. "Does that mean my dress went out of style?" Amy asked in embarrassment.

"Where you guys from?" Israel asked.

"We're um, two hundred years from the past," Chris replied.

The future gang were surprised. "The past?"

"Amazing!"

"Cool!"

"How about that?"

"Funny. You don't look primative." Tiny said.

"Impressive," Israel said. "My name is Israel."

"And I'm Dodger the Panda."

"Tiny."

"Fuchsia The Cheetah."

"And we're Rex and Felix!" The squirrel twins said together.

"I'm Sonic the Hedgehog. And these are my buddies."

"Sonic the Hedgehog, huh?" Israel caught that word. "Hmm..." He wondered if he had know Sonic before. Why does that sound familiar?

"I'm Chris." The gang introduced themselves.

"Knuckles!"

"Tails Prowler."

"Amy Rose!"

"I'm Cream and this is Cheese." "Chao!"

"Rouge the Bat."

"Decoe."

"Bocoe."

"I'm Bokkun! This is Doctor Eggman!" He fluttered around him.

Annoyed, Eggman pushed him aside. "I can speak for myself, thank you!" He grumbled. "Ahem! I am Doctor Eggman."

"Nice to meet you all!" Israel said.

Sonic takes a good look at the human male and recognized him. "Hey, what a minute! I recognize you!" He said.

"Huh?" Israel looked at the hedgehog in confusion.

"You...you're the guy from my dream!" Sonic pointed again.

"Huh?" Israel said again.

"What do you mean, Sonic?" Tails inquired.

"You warned me about Silver in danger," Sonic interpreted. "You must be the guy Silver was quoting advice from."

"You know Silver?" Fuchsia asked.

"Of course, are you friends of Silver?" Amy asked.

Everyone nodded. "If Silver knew those guys, then the time machine works!" Rex said.

"Silver must have made to the present after all!" Felix said.

"I told you!" Dodger said.

"Wow!" Fuchsia said. Tiny was amused.

"You've got to tell us everything!" Israel said.

"Gosh! There has been alot of stuff happening since the beginning, we don't know where to start!" Chris said.

"Just give us the details!" Tiny said.

Sonic told them everything from the top to the bottom. "And that's the whole story," Sonic said seriously.

The future gang were shocked and grievous from Silver's disappearance. "I can't believe this!"

"Silver's gone!" Rex wailed.

"He was our only hope!" Israel uttered in despair. "I thought he will be the one to save our world!" He stiffened in sorrow.

Tiny furiously faced Eggman. "You low-life scum! I'll shove this down your THROAT!" He growled and present his cannon at the doctor's face.

"It was an accident!" Eggman squeaked.

"My cousin Carter sent us here because we found out he has the Iblis spirit sealed inside his body," Chris said. "And now, he's going to unleash the monster within. Who knows what will happen or what's happening right now!"

Everyone gasped.

"Our world will look just like this!" Amy said.

"Wrong! Because of Carter, our world will be just like this world!" Sonic said. "Our future is at stakes!"

"Silver wasn't lying after all!" Knuckles said.

"That punk is doing my dirty work!" Eggman said. "My Eggman Empire is ruined!"

"Who cares about your empire?" Rouge said hopelessly. "This could be the end of us!"

"You know what? She's right!" Knuckles said. "Without Chaos Emeralds in this world, we can't transported back to our present time!"

"So we're goners, huh?" Tiny cried.

"It's hopeless!" Rex added.

"We're doomed!" Dodger cried.

"Yeah!"

"There's no way we can get out of this!"

"I want my mommy!"

"I don't want to die!"

"It's hopeless!"

The group clamored as they fell into despair.

Sonic whistled loudly and got their attention. "Now what just a minute guys!" He said. "I know things look bad now-"

"Bad? I could think of better word than 'bad' about this!" Knuckles said.

"Yeah," Rouge agreed. "We've been into worse situations but this one right here, I don't think we'll ever escape from this one!"

"Look, I'm aware that we're stranded in this dead end future but we came too close to give up now!" Sonic speeched. "We had those Emeralds right in the palm of our hands! You guys can stay and rot, but I'm not going to do nothing and wait those Iblis freaks to cone get me! I'm gonna keep moving on! You never know unless you try!"

Everyone agreed, seeing a slender light of hope.

"There's got to be another way to get off this planet and we're going to keep finding it even if it takes us forever!"

Everyone agreed again, feeling spirited once again.

"It's what Silver would have wanted. We're not going down without a fight! We're gonna get out of this nightmare, and we're gonna save this future, OUR future, one way or another!"

"That's the spirit, Sonic," Israel recommended. "I like it!" Chris smiled admiringly.

Eggman just scoffed. "Look at you guys, intoxicated with false hope! Wake up, guys! Can't you see the world is ending?"

"Better to have false hope than no hope at all," Israel said.

"That's right!" Sonic said.

"We'll die trying!" Knuckles said.

"They're right!" Decoe said.

"I'm with them!" Bocoe agreed.

Eggman had to give in. "Whatever!"

"What should we do then?" Cream asked.

"I'll tell you what we'll do," Sonic said.

He and the group huddled up and formulated a game plan. They will split up into teams and scoured the ruined world for energy supplies for Israel's time machine. Chris decided to go with Israel, Sonic, Cream, Tails, and Amy decided to side with Fuchsia and the twins, Tiny will go with Knuckles and Rouge, and Dodger will sided with Eggman and his henchmen. "So it's agreed," Sonic planned. "We'll come back here at this meeting point at 12:00 with some supplies. And hopefully we'll find enough energy to get us all back to the present! When we do, we're gonna kick Iblis butt! Any questions?" Sonic asked.

Nobody else asked. "Good! Let's split up!"

Eggman eyed at the human boys carefully, like he's examining their likenesses. "Hmm..."

"Just be on the lookout when investigating the cities and watch your back! Those things are menaces to everyone in sight!" Israel advised, patting the pommel of his sword.

"We noticed," Knuckles said.

"Once they grab you, they'll never let go until they tear you to pieces!" Fuchsia advised.

Everyone gulped. And so, they split up.

Eggman took one last look at Israel and wondered. "Hmmm...!"

"What's up, doc?" Decoe asked.

"Those two look exactly alike." Eggman answered.

"Who?" Bocoe asked.

"Those two redheads." Eggman said.

"You mean Israel and Chris?" Decoe said.

"Strange, they don't look alike too me!" Bokkun said.

"Now that he mentioned it, they do look alike," Bocoe said. "Do you think they're related?"

"I don't thinks so, but they might be linked!" Eggman said.

"Hey, I don't want to sound impatient, but we got to find sone energy power for that tine machine!" Dodger said, riding on his ostrich.

He and the villains walked off to their quest of power supplies. Eggman thought for a minute about Israel and Chris one last time. "Nah..." He shook his head. "It couldn't be."
