Wes, Yuki and both Eons ran down a set of stairs into a deeper floor and down a path where they saw three trainers; a male chaser, a male hunter, and a male rider, running toward them the chaser and hunter seemed determined to get out of the cave to get out of the cave

"Hey yo you're going the wrong way." The chaser called "The exit's that direction." He pointed to the direction that Wes and Yuki came from

"Huh?" Yuki asked

"Get moving, there's no time." The hunter growled "everyone bailing the cave."

"What's the rush?" Wes asked

"The cave is freaking collapsing that's what." The hunter growled "But the boss doesn't care. He's playing his music so loud down in the sewers that it's shaking everything and we're seeing stuff fall so we're getting out of here before it all goes."

Wes hummed as he nodded "you better hurry then, I've been told that the floor above won't last another hour and I'm sure if the floor above goes then it will just take everything else with it."

"No need to tell us." The chaser replied then looked at the rider "Come on Twan let's get out of here."

The Rider didn't respond and just looked at Wes, "It's you…" He muttered in a low choral tone almost if he was speaking as a collective "You are the one who betrayed us." A bluish glow surged from his eyes.

Yuki blinked "what?"

Espeon recoiled, "Wes something's wrong with that trainer," He stated "I sense a force controlling him."

"Twan!" The hunter shouted, "come on let's go!"

"You go." Twan stated, "I must punish the betrayer."

"There he goes again, off the deep end." The chaser stated, "Whatever man, it's your funeral." Both the hunter and chaser took off.

Twan pulled out a pokeball, "I will defeat you traitor." He stated then threw the ball and released a Meditite

"I will defeat you and take your heart back." The Meditite spoke at the same time as Twan.

Yuki blinked then turned nervous "Wes it's a Shadow Pokemon."

"And a psychic and fighting dual type at that." Wes stated "the Shadow Power plus the typing must allow it to control its trainer."

Espeon growled "you're controlling your trainer." He accused, "Only evil pokemon do that.

"In order for us to win, we must be united in mind." Meditite stated, "Behold my power." A surge of dark energy occurred as Meditite flew at Espeon using Shadow Rush."

"Behold mine. Light!" Espeon called out as both he charged at Meditite with Return.

The two attack collided and the two were locked pushing against each other

"You won't win." Meditite growled "I am stronger."

"Yeah, Say that to my friend." Espeon stated "Now Umbreon!"

Umbreon came at Meditite with his fang bared and he passed by the meditite. Biting was heard as Umbreon had taken several bites out of the Shadow Pokemon as he passed.

Meditite flinched but that caused him to lose control of the clash causing Espeon to blast him backward and into a wall "no, how can I be defeated so easily."

"Because two is always better than one." Umbreon boasted "now Wes."

Wes pulled out a snag ball "Snag Ball fire." He threw it

The ball snagged the meditite and caught it.

"Got it." Wes stated as the ball vanished.

Twan groaned as he rubbed his head "what happened."

Yuki approached him "Are you alright?"

Twan groaned "no," He replied "I'm not, ever since I got that pokemon from boss, I haven't been feeling like myself and I black out even so often."

Wes hummed "You were being controlled by that pokemon," He stated "And the darkness it wielded."

Twan blinked as he looked at Wes "you, you're that snag master."

Wes hummed as he nodded "the cave is about to collapse. You don't have much time. You need to go now."

As if to confirm this the area shook.

Twan groaned "yeah," He looked at Wes "listen snagger, there's two more down there plus the one that boss has. I think mine was the worst but don't underestimate the boss. He may seem like a joke because of his dancing and such but his pokemon are freakin weird man, They look like plants but fire doesn't burn them and they love making rain, I don't know what they are."

Yuki hummed "A plant that can't be burned and can make rain..." She muttered

Wes hummed "Thanks now get out of here."

Twan hummed as he ran off

"Come on." Wes called out

The four made it down the path and started hearing music coming from a tunnel and they entered into what appeared to be a sewer area and they could hear the music coming from the area

Yuki looked around "Wes what is this?"

Wes hummed as he looked around "I would figure it's an area used for drainage system for Pyrite Town." He pointed to the flowing water that was coming out of the pipes. "that most likely why there are secrets entries and exits so that if a problem occurs someone could come down here and fix it and not have to worry about going through Pyrite Cave which is unstable.

"You got that right hon."

A female rider came up to Wes and Yuki

"if you don't mind the music, this place is actually safer than going through that mine shaft but you got to be careful." She pointed upward to a cemented ceiling however one could tell there were large cracks in it which means a good shake would bring it down. "the ceiling isn't exactly the most stable in the world."

Wes hummed "and I got the feeling when the higher floors go it will all crash down into here."

The rider nodded "I'm about to head out but something was making me stick around and I got the feeling it's you." She smiled slightly "you're that snag master people have been talking about" She looked at Yuki "and you're that seer girl."

Wes hummed as he nodded

Yuki hummed "that's us and you are?"

"Sosh." The rider replied "and I challenge you to a battle. Snag Master. A shadow Vs. A shadow just like you did in the tournament. I win, I get the pokemon you sent out, you win you get mine."

Wes hummed "alright you're on. Sosh. Send out your Shadow."

Sosh hummed "how about you show me first, after all I figured you used your knowledge of the pokemon beforehand and their weakness to get an advantage."

Wes hummed "only for one of them but I'll comply. Makuhita let's go."

Makuhita came out and took a stance

Sosh hummed "Trudly's fighting type." She sighed "I was wondering why he didn't return yesterday. You got to him."

Wes hummed "you and he?"

"Friends nothing more." Sosh replied "but this time I'll take down his pokemon with my own. Dunsparce go."

The cream colored land snake Pokémon appeared and didn't appear to respond with much energy

Yuki blinked "A Dunsparce…"

Wes hummed "A Shadow?"

Yuki nodded "yes."

"A normal type." Umbreon growled "Makuhita should be able to take it down easily, it has type advantage."

"I don't know Umbreon," Espeon stated "something tells me Sosh is prepared for the one she knows about."

Wes hummed as he scanned Makuhita and learned that it knew the moves Focus Energy and Vital Throw. "Makuhita, Vital Throw."

Makuhita grunted and came at Dunsparce to pick it up and throw it and it picked up Dunsparce only for it to yawn and let out a grayish breath in Makuhita's face.

Makuhita paused as it took the attack then it yawned and let go of the Dunsparce.

Wes blinked "Makuhita?"

Makuhita yawned again then fell asleep standing up

"It's asleep!" Umbreon exclaimed

Dunsparce slipped backwards and hissed in a snickering tone "another sss-ucker put to sss-leep." It hissed

Yuki said "What did it do?"

Sosh giggled "My Shadow Pokemon is a weird one instead of using its powers for attacking. It can put pokemon to sleep by yawning at them, paralyze them with a harsh stare, and otherwise disable them from attacking and if your pokemon can't attack then well you lose."

Espeon hummed "that's a valid strategy, if you can't beat your opponents with physical might hitting them with status conditions will be effective."

She smiled "well Wes you gonna call it quits now and hand Makuhita over or you gonna try to get out of this jam."

Wes smirked "Makuhita!" He called out "you're sleeping on the job."

"Wha?!" Makuhita grunted as he snapped awake and became confused. "Why was I sleeping" He asked seriously

Dunsparce snickered

Makuhita then looked at Dunsparce and an anime vein popped up "You… you put me to sleep"

Dunsparce hissed "what ya gonna do about it." He taunted

Makuhita's surged with dark energy "I'll take you down!" He roared as he came at with Dunsparce with glowing purple arms that were crossed over his face

Dunsparce got on its tail and opened its eyes and sent out a glare to try and paralyze Makuhita

Makuhita was unfazed and continued his attack using two arms in a full on Cross Chop attack sending the land snake flying and into the stairwell across the way

Sosh gasped "dunsparce."

Dunsparce had its eyes swirling

Makuhita posed then made a gesture with his right arm as he turned around "how was that boss." He stated as he walked back to Wes

Wes hummed "excellent work, Makuhita,"

Makuhita posed with a couple of jabs "Where's the next one that I can take down?"

Wes hummed "hold your punches for now, I'm sure we'll get another one soon but only at my command for now return

"right boss" Makuhita muttered as he took a stance next to Wes and then was recalled

Umbreon grinned "I think I'm going to like that mon." He muttered

Wes looked at Sosh who was over by the Dunsparce tending it "well looks like I win." He stated as he walked over

Sosh sighed "indeed you did Wes." She admitted "don't bother wasting a snag ball." She recalled Dunsparce "I'll hold up to my end of the bet." She held out the pokeball

Wes hummed as he took it "you seemed to actually care about your pokemon."

Sosh hummed "I do but if Shadow Pokemon are as unnatural as I think they are then they need someone who can help change them back to normal and I think you are that guy."

Wes hummed "I'll make sure I purify it then and maybe I'll give it back to you when it is."

Sosh hummed "Let me give you my number, if I'm not in jail because of my ties to Miror B, I'll take it back and if I am…"

Wes nodded "I'll hold on to it for you until you are out." He stated

Sosh smiled "thanks."

Yuki started walking over.

A creaking was heard

"Yuki stop!" Espeon barked

"huh?" Yuki stated "what's wrong Espeon."

"Wes, the ceiling above you!" Espeon called out "Move!"

Wes grunted as he looked up just to see the ceiling cracks become larger and loose dirt was coming through them. He grunted and pulled Sosh and himself under the metallic staircase.

"Get back Yuki Run!" Wes called

Yuki gasped and started moving backwards as did Espeon and Umbreon. The ceiling give way sending a landslide of dirt and rubble towards Wes and Sosh and seemed to bury them and the staircase. Yuki covered her face, closed her eyes and turned to block the dust from getting in her face

Yuki coughed as the dust and dirt settled. She looked around and saw the buried staircase. The ceiling had collapsed on that area around it

"WES!" Yuki called out in a panic.
