Lucius was beginning to think that he preferred the way he had married Narcissa, having forgotten how tedious wedding planning could be. He remembered the brief plans that Penelope had tried to make and he had feigned interest until telling her that it bored him. For the last two hours, the three of them, he, his mother and Narcissa, had been sat on the terrace discussing seating arrangements, music and food. This wasn't what he had thought of when he invited Narcissa over for the day but he had promised her a big ceremony for the entire pureblood population to be invited to as to not bring shame on either of their families but their 'quickie wedding' and to save the wizarding community from gossiping that Narcissa might be pregnant with his child.

"I think a baby pink colour scheme would be perfect, your complexion, Narcissa, would go quite well with it-"

"No Mother, absolutely not!" Lucius protested.

Evelyn and Narcissa turned to look at him, both surprised that he even wanted an input considering he had been sat there in silence for the last half an hour.

"Why not? I quite like pink, it's a perfectly nice colour along with blue and light green." Narcissa stated.

"Lucius doesn't like pink. Abraxas would never allow me to have that colour anywhere in the manor. One time, my sister had gifted me some pink roses for my birthday and when Abraxas returned from the Ministry, he tore the roses up and beat me because I had broken one of his rules." Evelyn explained.

Narcissa's smile faded and the atmosphere turned from lovely discussions of weddings to awkward mentions of past abuse from the man who would never step foot over the manor threshold again. Of course, this wasn't the only reason why Lucius didn't want a pink colour scheme for their wedding, he felt uncomfortable around pink things.

"Pink is too feminine for my tastes." Lucius muttered.

"Blue can sometimes be too masculine, along with red but I'm open to having it as our colour scheme."

"The only things that are even going to be this colour is the bridesmaid dresses, my tie and the ties of the best man and grooms men."

"And the napkins, the table cloths, decorations, the invitations." Narcissa added.

"Merlin's sake, a wedding is quite a pain in the arse to plan!" Lucius complained.

Evelyn laughed, "That's because my dear son you are a man and the wedding planning is usually left to the women."

"Well if I get a say then the only thing that I would like is that the colour scheme not to be pink." he requested.

The two women rolled their eyes at his request and agreed that, just to keep him happy, the colour scheme wouldn't be pink. Eventually the colour was agreed as light blue and the discussion turned to seating arrangements, to which Lucius gave up hope in spending some alone time with his new wife and headed back inside to the manor.

ooOoo

"There you are!" Narcissa exclaimed, shutting the door to the study behind her.

Lucius smiled as he set aside his letters, watching as she perched herself on the edge of the desk. The serpent clock on the far wall chimed four o'clock, the evidence that the afternoon had almost completely gone.

"The wedding is almost planned, we just need to decide on the meal, the date and send out the invitations. Of course with that comes the guest list which I thought we could discuss tomorrow?" she suggested.

"There is only one thing I would like to discuss right now." Lucius replied, a devious smile forming from his lips.

"What's that?"

Lucius picked up his wand, waving it at the study door before placing it somewhere on the desk among the various sheets of parchment. Narcissa raised an eyebrow as his hands went to her waist and he stood from his chair, looking down at her with the smirk that she had become accustomed to.

"There is the matter of the honeymoon to discuss." Lucius whispered.

"What were you thinking?" Narcissa asked, eyebrow still raised.

"Somewhere hot where we can stay locked away in a honeymoon suite, enjoying champagne and fine foods ready at our request. A room where we can enjoy the views the city has to offer, where we can look out at what the views look like in the sunset and where we can enjoy them wrapped up in nothing but a thin sheet after hours of love making." Lucius replied with a grin.

Narcissa couldn't help the grin that too formed on her face at the image that her husband had just described to her.

"I think Morocco has the perfect scenario for what you wish to happen." Narcissa muttered.

"It's a shame we'll have to wait for it to play out. But for now.." Lucius whispered, hoisting her up on to the desk, "how about you indulge me in what newly wedded couples are supposed to do?"

She laughed slightly, closing her eyes as his lips came into contact with her neck. It amazed her how he could reduce her to fits of giggles as his lips found a sensitive spot on her neck. As Lucius travelled his way up her neck, lightly across her jaw until his lips met her own, kissing her with tenderness and passion that expressed how much he enjoyed their reconciliation and how much he hoped that he would always feel the way he did about her.

A/N: Enjoy this chapter, it might be the last one for a few weeks as I need to focus on finishing my university coursework. For those of you interested in my Lucissa stories, new one started called To Recover What We Lost, please give it a read and leave feedback :)
