Antonio fumbled in the dark to silence his cell phone before it woke Beth up, it was the early morning and she was curled up in bed snoring softly next to him. He grabbed the phone, tucked the blankets around her shoulders, and tiptoed out of the bedroom, grabbing his shorts on the way out.

"Hallo, Nico. Do you have any idea what time it is in the states?" he said once he closed the bedroom door behind him.

"Sorry, little bro, its kind of important though, can you talk?"

Antonio took a deep breath, not liking the tone of his brother's voice, "Sure, its fine," he said pulling his shorts up and sinking down on the couch. Einstein left his normal bedtime spot and curled up in Antonio's lap, ready to have his ears scratched.

"Well, you know Oma has been talking about Beth nonstop since Christmas, right?"

"Ja? Und ?" he scratched Einstein and smiled as he purred away in his lap. His brother was still silent on the other end. "Spit it out, Nico," he said cautiously.

"Did you know that she has been taking English classes?"

"No, but Beth did say that her English is much better than she was letting on. She understood whatever Beth was trying to say and replied in German. Beth knew enough to figure it out."

Nico snorted, "Why doesn't that surprise me. Our Oma is a nutty old bird, Antonio."

Is there a point to this? While I love getting family updates, I would much rather be in bed with meine Prinzessin…"

"You got it bad, bro, but I'll get to that later. More importantly, Oma is typing all of her recipes."

"Oma knows how to type? Wait. Why? She didn't even do that for mama."

"Exactly!" Nico replied, relieved that he finally had his brother's attention.

"Is she sick?" He asked nervously.

"No, no, don't worry about that."

"Then what?"

"Oma is planning on booking a trip to Tampa to teach Beth how to cook all of her favorite recipes."

Antonio's jaw dropped, "Did you say…"

"Yes, Oma has invited herself to stay with Beth and teach her to cook."

He rubbed his head and blinked a few times, Nico's words still registering in his mind. "Run that by me one more time, Nic…" he said as the bedroom door opened and Beth came out wearing one of his tshirts and rubbing her eyes, "Babe?"

He patted the spot next to him on the couch, "Its Nico."

"Did he forget what time it is here?" She said yawning.

"Your Prinzessin is just as grumpy as you are," Nico said laughing, "No wonder you are so nauseatingly perfect together."

"Shut up," he said wrapping his arm around Beth.

"Whatever, put me on speaker phone." Antonio grumbled but did as his brother asked. "Hallo Schatz!"

"Do you have to be so awake?" she groaned.

"I missed you too, sweet Bethany!"

"Is he always like this?" she said to Antonio, who rolled his eyes and sighed.

"I have earth shattering news," Nico continued, ignoring Beth's comment, "Oma is planning a trip to the states! She's already decided that she is spending a few weeks with you, Beth."

"What? Weeks? Here? I mean, I'd love to have her, but I can't… Antonio?"

Nico laughed, "You won't need to take her sightseeing, she isn't interested in Universal Studios."

"She's not? Then why make such a long trip?"

"Beth, she wants to teach you all of her recipes."

"Me?" Beth squeaked, "Why me?"

"That is the question, liebe," Antonio said squeezing her, "Mama will be very jealous."

"Oh no! I don't want to hurt your mom! Nico! You can't let that happen!"

"Oma is a stubborn old mule, Beth, she has already made up her mind. You are the chosen one, little lady."

"Nico was telling me how she's been learning English and typing her recipes," Antonio said looking at Beth's confused face.

"I… I mean, wow, I'm touched, she's doing so much, but, why?"

Nico groaned, Antonio could tell there was more to the story and his brother was holding back, "Nico…."

"Well, you know Oma," he laughed nervously, "Anyway, I'm sure you two want to get back to bed so…."

"Oh no, Nico, you aren't getting off the hook. What else did Oma tell you?" Antonio said sternly.

Nico sighed, his brother was going to get all prickly on him, "Now don't get all flustered on me, bro…"

Antonio dragged his hand over his face, he knew exactly what his brother was going to say, the whole family had already started it back in December.

"Oh come on, the two of you, just say it already!" Beth said startling Einstein, who hissed and leapt out of Antonio's lap.

"Oma has been having dreams of your future," Nico said ignoring his brother's groaning, "Beth in a long white gown, chubby little babies…"

"Oma has been dreaming about great grandbabies since we were 16! This is nothing new!" Antonio snapped.

"Aww, she's a sentimental lady," Beth said swatting at his chest, "Let her have her dreams."

"Well, her dreams are what is making her want to spend weeks sleeping in our home," he said.

"Come on, bro, she's excited, you've never brought anyone back for the holidays before. And everyone has given up hope on me ever settling down."

Antonio rolled his eyes, "Yeah, no woman would put up with you for more than a few weeks."

"My charm is overwhelming. But, that leaves you, my dear brother, as Oma's only hope for great grandchildren. No pressure! Just gotta get busy before she dies."

"Charming, Nico, so charming," he replied sarcastically, "but really, what are we going to do about Oma?"

"She's family, if she wants to visit, she is more than welcome," Beth said firmly, thus ending the debate. "Now if you two want to bicker some more, that's fine, but I'm going back to bed. Bye Nico." She kissed Antonio on the cheek and got up, tugged the shirt down over her ass and walked back to the bedroom.

"Yeah, bye Nico," he said ending the call and tossing his phone on the couch as he got up and followed his woman back to bed.

Beth was already in bed with the blankets pulled up to her chin by the time he got back, he smiled and laid down next to her, pulling her close to him and burying his face in her hair. She squirmed a little, getting herself into a comfortable position, her butt pressed against him, she sighed and fell back to sleep immediately. Antonio was still thinking about his conversation with his brother, it was so unlike his grandmother to want to leave Lucerne and come all the way to Florida. He would have to make sure he got her a direct flight, he didn't like the thought of his grandmother trying to make a connecting flight in New York. He hoped she didn't decide to come in August, she would never be able to handle the heat. And Beth's kitchen was so small, how would they work comfortably? And why? Mama has been trying for years to get Oma to teach her, and Oma always stubbornly refused. It wasn't as though they didn't get along, Oma adored her daughter-in-law, but she held on so tightly to those recipes. He knew his Beth was something special, but the way she and Oma hit it off was quite the surprise.

Beth woke up as the sun streamed through her blinds, she replayed the conversation from last night in her mind. There was one thing that nagged at her, she would have to find a good time to talk to Antonio about it. She heard the water turn on in the shower and climbed out of bed and tiptoed to the bathroom, opening the door as quietly as she could. She snuck into the shower and stood behind Antonio, covering his eyes.

"Guess who!" she giggled.

"Oh no, I wonder who it could be…" he said grinning. She wrapped her arms around his waist and hugged him, pressing her breasts into his hard, wet back.

"What time do you have to leave?"

"I should start heading for the airport by noon," he said turning them both around so the warm water hit her back, he rested his big hands on her hips.

She kissed his chest and sighed, "I wish you didn't have to go. I hate it when you go overseas."

"I wish I could take you with me," he said running his hands up and down her back, "I would love to show you around Japan. We won't be there long enough though, you would spend more time on the plane."

"Figures I would have to fall in love with a man who travels more than he stays home," she said glumly.

He stepped back and lifted her chin with his thumb, she looked up at him and pouted. He smiled, "Meine Prinzessin, don't look so sad. We still have a few hours."

"It's not enough time."

"Oh, it's plenty of time! There is so much we can do… I could cook breakfast, we could take Einstein for his vet checkup, or…" he stopped talking and winked at her and before she knew it, she was pinned between the cold tile wall and his hot body.

She wrapped her legs around his waist and kissed him, "Breakfast sounds good, I want my eggs scrambled. And none of that turkey bacon, that stuff is terrible."
