Amber bit her lip as she heard the dial tone on the other end of the phone. Her breathing slightly labored at how anxious she was becoming.
"Riverside treatment center, This is Bianca how can i assist you today?" The voice over the phone echoed.
"Hi Bianca," Amber said. "Its Amber.." She trailed off.
"Hi sweetheart." Bianca said, sounding cheerful, Bianca and Amber had become well acquainted with Amber's frequent calls to the center. "Let me see if your mom is willing to talk." She said before putting Amber on hold. Amber held her breath, hoping her mom would finally want to talk to her since her overdose.
"Amber?" Bianca asked.
"I'm here." Amber replied, sounding hopeful she would get to talk to her mom.
"I'm so sorry sweetheart, but your mom isn't feeling well enough to talk." Bianca sighed. Amber felt tears prick her eyes, knowing that was a nice way of saying her mom didn't want to talk.
"It's okay." Amber breathed. "Thanks bianca, Have a nice day." She mumbled before hanging up and throwing her phone against the wall. Amber felt tears fall from her eyes and sniffled before wiping them away. She took a deep breath and quickly composed herself before making her way back into the lab where Leo and Davenport were.
"You alright?" Leo asked as he looked at Amber, who was obviously in some sort of distress.
"Yeah." She told him with a nod before pulling the sleeves of the hoodie she was wearing over her hands. Leo sighed before Adam, Bree and Chase made their way into the lab.
"Guys that was awesome!" Leo exclaimed as he saw his step siblings. "You guys prevented the biggest oil spill in history!" he added.
"Pretty slick huh?" Chase chuckled before Amber rolled her eyes.
"Chase please stop trying to be funny." Amber sighed before Mr Davenport sighed.
"What were you guys thinking?" He asked, clearly upset. "You completely ignored my mission plan, improvised everything and jeopardized the entire mission." He stated before Bree sighed.
"Mr Davenport, we bust our asses on these missions and all you do is sit around and make lists of what we did wrong!" she pointed out as Leigh walked into the lab, dance bag slung over her shoulder.
"Hey!" She smiled. "How'd the mission go?" She asked.
"Terribly." Mr Davenport stated as he looked back at his kids. "Look, you guys got lucky this time, but with out my precise planning, you guys are opening yourselves up for disaster." Davenport said. "Just follow my orders from now on." He added
"Well maybe your orders aren't always right." Chase stated as Leigh and Amber looked at each other with wide eyes.
"Wow, the noodle grew a backbone." Amber whispered to Leigh who pinched her cousin's shoulder.
"Excuse me?" Mr Davenport stated before shaking his head. "Forget it, go put your gear up and after that you're grounded." He stated.
"Wait, that's not fair!" Adam protested.
"Then maybe you'll learn to follow orders." Davenport said before walking out of the lab.
************"Aww Tasha is so cute." Amber cooed as she looked at the pink tupperware container with a sticky note that had her name on it. "She made me a PB&J with carrot sticks and a cute little juice box." Amber smiled.
"Yeah, my mom's the best." Leo smiled as Chase snacked on a banana and Adam chugged his glass of orange juice.
"Could you two not eat like complete barbarians?" Bree asked as Leigh giggled.
"What's wrong with how i eat?" Chase asked, a mouth full of banana.
"The fact that it looks like you threw up in your mouth." Amber told him before Chase glared at her as Mr Davenport walked in, looking for his own breakfast.
"Hey Guys, don't forget training after school." He said before Chase rolled his eyes.
"Oh, Okay, Mr. Davenport. Wouldn't want to miss another opportunity for you to tell us everything we are doing wrong." Chase spat.
"Oh, and while we're on the subject, do we need a detailed plan to get home from school?" Bree asked.
"Yeah and what are these things we're carrying with words in them?" Adam asked in the same mocking tone as he held up his textbook.
"Just get to school." Davenport sighed as Adam held out his hand to Leigh.
"Adam i'm not going to school." Leigh told him before Adam frowned.
"What why not?" He asked.
"Davenport has decided that i get to help with capsule maintenance" Leigh said with a sigh.
"That sounds lame." Amber scoffed as Leigh nodded. "Well muscles, that means your my arm candy for today." Amber laughed before pulling Adam towards the door. Adam looked back at Leigh with a helpless look and Leigh giggled before waving goodbye.
"Alright Leigh lets get started." Davenport said as he began to make his way down towards the lab. Leigh sighed before following close behind. "How's Amber holding up?" He asked as he hit the elevator button.
"She's not." Leigh told him. "She's not sleeping, and she misses her dad." Leigh added as
Mr Davenport nodded.
"He'll be here in a few weeks though, he just has to finish up some business." Davenport explained. Leigh nodded.
"He's trying to be there as best as he can for her." Leigh said, knowing Amber talked to her dad every night over skype and now her dad was calling her throughout the day to check up on her. "But it's not as good as him being here." Leigh said as she and Mr Davenport stepped into the elevator.
"I just wish there was something we could do." Mr Davenport sighed.
"You guys are doing plenty." Leigh told him. "You're letting her stay here and Tasha is making her lunches." Leigh said. "It means alot to her that you guys are looking after her." Leigh explained as they reached the lab.
"Well, i'm glad what we're doing is helping." He said. "Eddie, we've got a lot of work to do today." Davenport said, frowning when he didn't hear a response from his virtual friend. "Eddie?" He asked as he looked at the screen where Eddie usually would be. "Thats weird he's been deactivated." Mr Davenport said
"Oh no, what a shame." Leigh said sarcastically before Davenport frowned at her.
"How did he get deactivated?" Davenport questioned.
"Want me to show you?" A voice said from behind the two. Leigh and Davenport turned around and saw a guy with spiked up hair standing in the lab.
"Douglas?" Davenport asked. "I thought you were dead!" He exclaimed.
"That's what i wanted you to think." Douglas said. "Ad the FBI." He added "And Mom." He tacked on.
"Okay what the fuck is going on?" Leigh asked as she shook her head.
'Wow, what a mouth on this one." Douglas laughed as he walked towards Leigh. "I'm douglas." he smiled. "Donalds brother." He added as Leigh looked between the two.
"How'd you even get in here?" Donald asked his brother.
"Your rinky-dink security systems are no match for my genius." Douglas told him. "Also, I kicked in the door, 'cause it's cool." he smiled before Mr Davenport launched his fist at Douglas who grab it and twisted Davenport under his arm.
"Why do you even bother? I've been kicking your butt since we were kids." Douglas said before Leigh kicked douglas' feet out from under him and Davenport turned himself around only to be faced with Marcus.
"Marcus." Davenport said as Leigh looked over to see the teen who was standing in front of Davenport. "So Leo was right about you." He said as Marcus smiled.
"Hello Mr Davenport." Marcus said "Or should i say, Uncle Mr Davenport." He said with an eyebrow raise.
"He's been practicing that for days" Douglas laughed
"I made drama club." Marcus said proudly.
"He's good too." Douglas stated. "I keep telling him to try out for Oklahoma." He said as he looked at Marcus
"Get off my back dad!" Marcus yelled before Leigh rolled her eyes.
"Alright, I'm over this." Leigh said as she ran at marcus who quickly shoved Leigh into a wall. Mr Davenport grabbed a device off his desk.
"I wouldn't do that if i were you." Douglas said before Mr Davenport pressed a button on the device and a laser shot towards Marcus who blocked it with a forcefield.
"He's bionic?" Leigh asked as she pulled herself off the floor.
"Yup, and this mole on the back of his neck is a wi-fi hotspot." Douglas added. "You two are coming with me." Douglas said.
"Not happening." Davenport said as Douglas shrugged.
"Fine, we'll do this the hard way." he said as he had Marcus shoot a green orb at Leigh and Davenport. Which quickly knocked the two unconscious before Douglas and Marcus dragged them out of the lab.
***********Leigh groaned as she sat up, she saw Mr Davenport unconscious a few feet away and quickly shook him awake.
"What happened?" He asked as Leigh helped him up.
"You got your ass handed to you." Douglas said, catching Davenport and Leigh's attention.
"Why don't you let me out of here and we'll see who gets their ass handed to them." Leigh growled.
"Wow Donnie, where'd you find this kid?" Douglas asked. "She's mean." he laughed before Leigh went to grab the bars that caged her and Davenport. Leigh screeched once her hands came in contact with them. She held her hands close her her torso.
"What even is this place?" Donald asked.
"My lab." He stated. "Although i probably could have a nicer place if you didn't kick me out of Davenport industries." Douglas spat angrily
"I kicked you out because you got all weird and turned into Dr. Evil. Or should I say Nurse Practitioner Evil, since you flunked out of Med School." Davenport spat before douglas glared at his brother.
"I didn't flunk out. I was dismissed for screaming too loud when I saw the needles. And what you call evil, I call... taking the company in a more creative direction." Douglas explained.
"You wanted to use bionic kids as weapons." Davenport pointed out.
"And that's why i'm here, to take back what's mine." Douglas growled.
"You're not touching Adam, Bree and Chase." Leigh stated.
'See, and that's where you're wrong." Douglas told her. "Once they see that daddy dearest and his little assistant are being held captive, they'll run straight here to save you." Douglas explained before Leigh glared at him.
"You won't win." She growled as she glared at douglas who chuckled.
"She's a riot donnie." Douglas said before Leigh spit at douglas. He turned and glared at her before wiping his face.
"Now, i don't appreciate that." Douglas said.
"What are you gonna do about it?" Leigh asked him.
"Oh trust me, we'll take care of you in a little bit." Douglas said before glancing at his computer monitor. "And look who's home." He said as he directed Leigh and Davenports attention towards the monitor.
"You've been spying on us?" Davenport asked.
"Thats sick." Leigh said before Douglas shrugged.
"Its how i got the one up on you." He added with a laugh before looking back at the monitor.
************Adam sighed as he looked around the lab. "Ugh where's Leigh?" He groaned. "She hasn't answered my texts all day." He groaned.
"She probably got sick of your post lunch breath." Bree stated before Adam frowned and checked his breath.
"It's not that bad." He mumbled as Amber walked in.
"I can't find Leigh anywhere, i need help with my algebra homework." She sighed. "I don't get all this inequality stuff." She added as she threw her bag on the floor.
"Yeah and where's Mr Davenport?" Chase asked. "He's never late for training." he added. Bree shrugged before super speeding out and coming back in a few seconds later.
"I can't find Davenport or Leigh anywhere." Bree said as Adam shook his head.
"Something's not right." He pointed out. "Leigh always texts me back during lunch, and she doesn't have a workshop today either." Adam said before Amber nodded.
"Yeah, Leigh and i always work on homework on thursdays." Amber added. "And i saw her dance bag upstairs." She added.
"Mr Davenport's car was still in the driveway." Leo pointed out.
"You don't think something bad happened to them do you?" Bree asked nervously.
"Leigh and Davenport are safe and sound with me." A voice said, catching the attention of the five teens. They all turned and saw Marcus' face on the monitor where Eddie normally was.
"You disgusting little piece of shit." Amber stated as she saw his face on the screen.
"How did he..." Bree trailed off.
"What do you want Marcus?" Leo asked.
"I'm just checking in on my favorite bionic friends." Marcus laughed as Chase's eyes widened
"He knows we're bionic?" Chase asked his siblings in disbelief.
"Yeah, little creep is psychotic and nosy." Amber stated.
"I heard you guys were looking for Leigh and Davenport." Marcus said. "They're right here." Marcus said before swiveling his chair so Davenport and Leigh came into view.
"If you do anything to either of them, i fucking swear Marcus i will end you." Adam growled.
"That's cute." Marcus laughed. "But if you ever want to see your dad and little girlfriend again, I suggest you come get em." Marcus said.
"Guys don't-" Davenport and Leigh started but were quickly cut off when their image disappeared off the screen.
"Woah." Chase said.
"Yeah, probably wished you would've listened to Leo and I now." Amber sang before Adam shook his head.
"Doesn't matter we have to go get Leigh and Davenport." He stated as he made his way towards the door. Amber quickly ran in front of him and blocked his path.
"Leo, i think they're missing a key piece of information." Amber pointed out as the three bionic teens turned their attention towards Leo.
"Marcus, is sort of bionic and has all of your abilities combined." Leo said quickly.
"What?" Bree asked in disbelief.
"Why didn't you guys tell us?" Chase asked as he looked at the two. "Did Marcus show you something sparkly and you kept your mouth shut?" Chase asked Amber as he approached her.
"No prick, Marcus was threatening to report you to the authorities if we said anything!" Amber yelled before glaring at him. "I get i haven't been the best person, but you guys are important to Leigh." Amber explained. "So if you ever, suggest i would do something to intentionally hurt my family again, you'll end up in a wheelchair." Amber growled, causing Chase to step back.
"Amber and Leo were just looking out for us Chase." Adam explained as he pulled his brother back from the fuming blonde.
"How are we taking Marcus down." Chase sighed through slightly clenched teeth.
"Wait, I know something that might help." Leo said before running over towards the computer. "Davenport and Amber were gonna surprise you with new, even better mission suits." Leo explained.
"Wait Amber, You helped Davenport with our mission suits?" Bree asked.
"Yeah, these new suits are way more protective." Amber explained. "They're designed to withstand just about everything." She added. "And, they're not hideously ugly." Amber smiled.
"Lets suit up." Adam said excitedly as he and his siblings made their way towards their
capsules and quickly changed into their new suits. The bionic teens stepped out of their capsules and looked over their new suits. Bree quickly pulled Amber into a hug.
"These are actually kind of cute!" She told Amber as she pulled back from Amber.
"Yeah my biceps look awesome in this." Adam said as he looked at his arms.
"They're really nice." Chase told her. "Good Job." He added.
"Thanks." Amber said as Bree frowned.
"Guys, we've never had to fight against bionics before." Bree pointed out. "How are we gonna pull this off?" She asked nervously.
"Maybe we do need Mr Davenport." Chase sighed.
"Amber and I can guide you!" Leo pointed out. "We've been in Marcus' lair and can help you navigate." Leo said as he handed out ear pieces. Amber shook her head when Leo tried to give her an ear piece. "Take it." he told her.
"I'm not gonna be helpful." Amber pointed out.
"You're a part of this team." Bree said to Amber. "You get an earpiece." She said as she placed the earpiece in Amber's hand. Amber let out a deep breath before placing the earpiece in her ear
"Alright, you guys ready?" She asked the three bionic teens. They all looked at each other before nodding.
"Go kick some creepy eyebrow butt!" Leo yelled as Adam, Bree and Chase exited the lab.
************"You're not getting away with this." Davenport said to Douglas.
"Yeah. That's what you said when I stole twenty bucks from Dad's wallet. Guess what? I got away with it. Boom." Douglas laughed.
"Oh, no, no, no. You do not go boom. I go boom. That's my thing! Boom!" Davenport yelled as Leigh rolled her eyes.
"Shut up!" She groaned as Marcus walked in.
'Everythings set up." He smiled.
"Perfect, you grab her." Douglas said as he quickly let the bars of the cage down before
Marcus super sped and grabbed Leigh before Douglas Locked Davenport back in the cage.
"What are you doing with her?" Davenport asked as Leigh struggled in Marcus' hold.
"Let go of me you fuck!" Leigh yelled before elbowing Marcus in the face and escaping his grip. Douglas quickly went to grab her before Leigh grabbed a lamp and went to bash it over douglas' head before Marcus pulled Leigh into a headlock. Douglas grabbed a syringe from his pocket and quickly jammed it into Leigh's neck. Leigh pushed out of Marcus' hold.
"What the fuck?" She yelled as she put her hand to her neck. Leigh began to feel herself wobble before she blacked out and collapsed.
"Leigh!" Davenport yelled as Marcus picked the brunette up and threw her over his shoulder and carried her out of the lab.
"Looks like i'm getting away with everything.' Douglas laughed at his brother before following Marcus out of the lab.
*************Amber groaned as she ripped the earpiece from her ear. "We lost them once they entered Marcus' lair." Amber sighed before slumping down in her seat. "Now what?" She asked as Leo shrugged.
"Woah what happened?" Eddie said as he appeared on his usual monitor.
"Oh great the emoticon is back." Amber groaned.
"Long story," Leo said. "Big D and Leigh got captured and Adam, Bree and Chase went to go rescue him." he explained as Eddie gasped.
"If anything happens to my Donny," Eddie started "what do you say you and I hit the road and blow the bankroll on Italian suits and fast cars?" He smiled.
"Not the worst idea he's had." Amber said to Leo who shrugged them both off.
"Look we need to figure out how to re-establish contact with Adam, Bree and Chase." Leo
said before looking at Eddie. "Wait, how was Marcus able to show up on your screen?" Leo questioned.
"He must've hacked into my network." Eddie said before frowning. "I feel so violated." he added.
"Marcus has been spying." Leo said to Amber. "That's how he's always a step ahead of
us." Leo explained.
"Lets reverse the signal!" Amber suggested before Leo and Eddie looked at her confused.
"You know how to do that?" Leo asked before Amber shook her head.
"No, but Leigh and i found out my creepy neighbor hacked into my webcam, so she
figured out how to reverse the signal and then we played a bunch of pranks on him." Amber laughed.
"Isn't that illegal?" Leo asked.
"Probably." Amber shrugged before she looked at Eddie.
"Can you reverse the signal?" She asked him.
"Can birds fly?" Eddie spat back before Amber glared at him before the image of
Davenport in a large cage popped up on Leo's computer screen.
"Awesome!" Leo said. "Now we can see them but they can't see us!" He pointed out.
""You know what," Eddie mused. "We make a great team." Eddie stated.
"Aww Eddie." Amber cooed. "I think that's the nicest thing you've ever said." She smiled.
"Yeah, also i want off the team." Eddie added before Leo and Amber frowned at him.
************Leigh woke up, her head throbbing. She went to sit up but quickly realized she was
strapped down to a table. She began to panic as she struggled against her restraints. She felt tears prick her eyes as she continued to pull against the straps that kept her pinned to the table. Leigh threw her head bag and tears spilled from her eyes as she looked up at the bright fluorescent lights above her. She looked over to her right and saw a table with various surgical tools on the table, all of them bloodied. Leigh felt her heart drop, knowing that Douglas had done something to her. She just wasn't sure of what. Leigh took a deep breath, trying to compose herself before assessing various options on how to get out of here. Before Leigh could think of anything. The door opened and Marcus walked in.
"Perfect, you're awake." He smirked as he walked over and leaned over Leigh. "Someone's been asking for you." Marcus said as he pushed a piece of hair out of Leigh's face. Leigh glared at him before slamming her head against his, causing Marcus to fall backwards. Marcus quickly stood back up and laughed. "Wow, you're a lot more feisty then i thought you were." Marcus said as he carefully went to undo Leigh's restraints. "Try anything and you'll regret it." Marcus growled as he went back to undoing Leigh's restraints. Leigh kept still as Marcus sat her up before grabbing a scalpel off the side table and jamming it into Marcus' shoulder. Leigh began to run towards the door but as she turned the handle she realized it was locked.
"Let me out!" Leigh yelled as she kicked at the door. Marcus pulling the scalpel out of his
shoulder before grabbing Leigh's long hair and yanking her back from the door.
"You really need to learn to listen to instructions." Marcus told her.
"Go fuck yourself." Leigh spat as Marcus slapped a pair of handcuffs on her. Marcus
placed his hand on the panel next to the door. The panel scanned his hand and unlocked the door. Leigh struggled as Marcus tried to walk her down the hall. "Let go of me!' She yelled as she kicked her feet in the air.
"Leigh!" A voice called out, one that Leigh recognized as Adam. Leigh let out a sigh of relief, knowing she was safe.
"Adam!" She yelled as she tried to pull away from Marcus as she neared the end of the hallway, still kicking and struggling. Leigh frowned when she saw Adam, Bree and Chase were now trapped in the same cage as Davenport.
"See Adam, she's breathing." Douglas pointed out before looking at Leigh. "Poor kid was threatening to rip out my trachea." Douglas said. "It was actually kind of sweet." He added as Leigh glared at him.
"Yeah, i'm about to make good on that threat!" Leigh growled before Douglas grabbed
Leigh's face.
"Let go of her!" Adam yelled
"You know i really don't appreciate the disrespect i'm getting from you right now." Douglas told her. "Especially after everything i've done for you." He added.
"What could you have possibly done for me." Leigh growled.
"Here," Douglas said as he let go of Leigh and grabbed a small sensor from his desk and
brought it over towards Leigh. "Let me show you." He said before placing the sensor near Leigh's neck. Leigh's eyes glowed a deep green before returning to the normal shade of green she had. Leigh stood up straighter before Marcus took the cuffs off Leigh. "Allow me to present my newest bionic creation." Douglas smiled as he looked over at Leigh.
"You made her bionic?" Davenport asked. "But she doesn't even have a bionic infrastructure!" He pointed out. "Her body won't be able to withstand bionics." He added.
"I have some temporary work arounds until i find permanent solutions." Douglas
explained. "But i've been thinking about being able to implant bionics in normal people, and i needed a test subject." Douglas shrugged. "Marcus suggested Leigh." He said.
"You little fucking rat," Adam growled. "I'm gonna crush your skull." Adam added before Marcus slid an arm around Leigh.
"Hey i'm the one with the super hot girlfriend." He added with a smirk before Leigh pulled
Marcus' arm off of her, twisted it behind his back and slammed him against the wall.
"Touch me again and i'll rip your fucking head off." Leigh growled.
"Ha! She may be bionic, but Leigh's still on our team." Chase pointed out before Douglas shook his head.
"Not quite." He laughed. "Leigh has my trition app, so she does whatever i want her to." Douglas explained. "And the cool thing about her is that since her chip is so closely wired towards her brain and her emotions, instead of being mindless robots, Like Adam, Bree and Chase would be under the triton app, she's extra mean." Douglas laughed.
"It's like we turned off her remorse." Marcus said. "We created a textbook sociopath." He smiled.
"Do you ever stop talking?" She spat at Marcus before Douglas laughed.
"Isn't she fun?" he asked. "Show em what you've got." Douglas told Leigh. Leigh smiled before disappearing into thin air.
"Where'd she'd go?" Bree asked.
"Right here dipshits." Leigh smiled as Adam, Bree and Chase whipped around and saw Leigh mischievously smirking at them
"She can geo leap?" Davenport asked before Leigh raised her hand and picked Marcus up off the ground without even touching him before turning him upside down and dropping him.
"Oooh, she has molecular kinesis and geo leaping." Chase scoffed. "Real fucking scary." He added before Leigh opened her palm to reveal sparks of electricity.
"Show em the best one." Douglas added before Leigh closed her hand and reopened it to reveal a bright green fireball which she threw towards the wall, leaving a clean hole through the rough brick.
"Scared yet?" Leigh spat at Chase before sitting down in the chair next to Douglas'
control center and propped her feet on the table.
"I gave her lighting bolts and radioactive fireballs." douglas laughed. "Isn't she awesome?" He added before patting Leigh on the shoulder.
**************Leo and Amber looked at the computer screen horrified. "I can't believe that psycho just
played frankenstein on my cousin." Amber growled.
"I can't believe he's actually Adam, Bree and Chase's Dad." Leo sighed.
"What we do now?" Amber asked, starting to freak out.
"We have to go rescue them ourselves." Leo told her as Amber looked at him with wide eyes.
"Are you fucking insane?" Amber asked. "Leo, we are literally the worst people to send on a rescue mission." Amber pointed out.
"Amen to that." Eddie said before Amber glared at the monitor Eddie was displayed on.
"We don't stand a chance against Marcus." Amber told Leo. "We barely made it out of there last time." She pointed out as Leo sighed.
"You're right." Leo said.
"Alright." Eddie sighed. "Donald told me that in a worst case scenario, someone has to push this button." Eddie said as a big red button appeared on his screen. "And you two being the only ones left is the worst case scenario." Eddie added as Amber rolled her eyes before Leo pressed the giant red button. A large hologram of Davenport appeared in front of the two teens.
"This guy seriously needs to get a hobby." Amber said as she looked over the hologram.
"Adam, Bree, Chase, if you're watching this, something terrible has happened. It's time for you to become the heroes you were always meant to be. And whatever it is you're about to face, I know you can handle it without me." the hologram said.
"That's not what he was telling them yesterday." Leo said to Amber.
"Though your bionics are amazing, they might not always be enough. So, step into the elevator and Eddy will take you to a secret floor below the lab: my weapons vault." The hologram stated.
"He has a secret weapons vault?" Leo asked.
"And Leo, If you're watching this," The hologram stated as he crouched down. "I don't have a secret weapons vault." He yelled as Amber giggled. Leo glared at the blonde who shrugged.
"The fact he even had to include that while recording is hilarious." She told Leo before heading towards the elevator, Leo following close behind before the elevator doors shut.
"Alright, hold on." Eddie said before the elevator dropped, eliciting a scream from both Leo and Amber.
"What the hell?" Amber yelled as the elevator doors opened.
"What?" He asked. "I was trying to make it like that ride at Disneyland." he added as Leo exited the elevator. Amber rolled her eyes before following suit.
"Look at all this." Leo said as he looked at the room, different kinds of weapons adorning the walls.
"This is slightly unsettling." Amber commented. "Why does the little rich man need all this." She added as she looked over the walls. Leo grabbed a duffle bag and tossed it at Amber.
"Alright, let's fill this and go save everyone." He said as he grabbed various weapons from their pegs on the walls.
**************"We finally captured them Marcus." Douglas sighed. "Well i did, me, me, me, me!" Douglas smiled before Leigh groaned from her seat at douglas' desk.
"If i hear another 'me' i'm gonna snap your neck." Leigh spat before going back to the game she was playing on douglas' tablet.
"I'm starting to think she's a little too mean." Douglas said as he looked over at the girl before shaking his head. "C'mon Marcus, we have work to do." Douglas said. "Leigh you stay here and watch them." he added as he pointed to his brother and three bionic children.
"How riveting." Leigh said before going back to her game.
"Psst." Adam said as he looked at Leigh. "Leigh!" He hissed, Leigh clenched her jaw before answering.
"What shit for brains?" Leigh spat.
"C'mon it's me, Adam." he sighed. "Your boyfriend." He added. Leigh didn't respond and Adam huffed. "Leigh i know you're in there." He told her.
"Look fucker." Leigh said as she stood up as made her way over towards Adam. "I'm not your little girlfriend. Okay that pathetic weak little bitch is never ever coming back." Leigh told him as Adam glared at her.
"We're gonna get our friend back." Bree told her before Leigh smirked.
"I hate to disappoint, but that's not happening." Leigh spat before sitting back down.
Douglas walked back in with a large smile on his face.
"Hey family." He grinned.
"Ugh, what did i do to deserve that sort of punishment?" Leigh scoffed.
"We're not your family." Chase told him "You can't force us to be your bionic soldiers." He added.
"Actually, I can, boy wonder." Douglas said. "See, when I created you, I installed my Triton app on your chips. Once it's activated, I'll control your bodies, and your minds. You'll do whatever I want." He explained.
"Why do you even need us?" Bree asked. "You have Marcus." she pointed out before Leigh laughed.
"Oh yeah because that kid is super helpful." She laughed.
"Marcus is just an android." Douglas sighed. "And the problem with androids is that they burn out to quickly." He explained. "Poor kid won't even make it to his sixteenth birthday." he added.
"Good fucking riddance." Leigh added before she laughed as she looked at the monitor. "Awww, Tiny Mcgee and Malibu Barbie came to play hero." She cooed sarcastically as Douglas saw Leo and Amber outside his house on the monitor.
"These two aren't even bionic." He chuckled. "I could take them out with the sprinklers." He added.
"Leave them alone." Bree yelled.
"Don't worry princess, we're not gonna hurt them." Douglas said. "Marcus wanted that privilege all to himself." he added before calling Marcus into the room. "You're little friends are back." Douglas said as Marcus walked back into the room. "Take care of them for good this time." He added.
"Done." Marcus smiled before heading out.
"Surprised you didn't want to take them out yourself Leigh." Chase scoffed before Leigh got up.
"Why would i go play with the kiddies when i can hang out with the big kids?" She stated as she ran her hand down Adam's torso. Adam swatted her hand away, causing Leigh to laugh.
"Awww, is someone upset?" She taunted before sighing. "You are cute though." Leigh mused. "Too bad you won't be much fun after your triton app kicks in." She added.
"You're sadistic." Adam spat before Leigh's eyes widened in surprise.
"Wow, the box of rocks knows fancy words." Leigh smirked before looking over at the the monitor on Douglas' desk, Seeing Amber and Leo being zapped unconscious by Marcus.
"No!" Bree cried.
"Once we get out of here, I'm taking you down." Adam growled at Douglas.
"Good luck with that. Once I press this, it'll activate your Triton apps. Then I'll control you. Permanently." Douglas smirked as he held up a remote. He pressed the button. Adam, Bree and Chase flinching as he did. They looked at each other confused, not feeling any different. Douglas pressed the button on his remote before sighing.
"Ugh, Marcus did you put batteries in this thing?" Douglas yelled as he hit the remote. Leigh rolled her eyes before sitting back down in the chair she was in before.
"Ha! I went in their chips and put a block on your app a long time ago!" Davenport said with a victorious smile as Douglas rushed over towards his computer, pushing Leigh out of his way.
"Very clever, Donny. But, I'll get around it." Douglas said as he typed on the computer. "I've always been a better programmer than you!" He added as his fingers flew across the keyboard. "There, see!" Douglas yelled as he pointed at his monitor. "Only eight minutes till my cypher key decrypts your amateur block and activates the Triton app!" He snickered. "C'mon Leigh, we've got work to do." He added before Leigh followed him out of the room.
*************Amber woke up to Leo shaking her awake. She quickly sat up and looked around at her surroundings. "Did we win?" She asked Leo.
"Not yet." He said as he helped her off the ground. "Big D's protective vests saved us from... well whatever Marcus did." he added.
"Well lets hurry up and get in there." Amber said as she ran towards the entrance in the wall Marcus had stupidly left open.
"No, i'm gonna go back to the lab and get something." Leo stated.
"Leo we don't have time!" Amber protested.
"Well you go try and stall until i get back." Leo said before running off, leaving Amber slightly overwhelmed and alone. She let out a deep breath before running through the entrance in the wall and making her way down the same hall she had when she first visited Marcus' house. She neared the end of the hallway and peered around the corner to see Adam, Bree, Chase and Davenport stuck in a large cage. She walked out into the lab and rushed over towards them.
"Amber!" Adam hissed.
"I came to break you out." She said as she looked over the cage. "Well once i figure out how to." She added.
"Where's Leo?" Davenport asked, clearly concerned.
"He's fine, he ran back to the lab for something." she explained. "Please tell me one of you know where the off button is for this thing." Amber asked nervously.
"You need to figure out how to deactivate these bars by using the control console over there." Davenport explained as he pointed to the large panel with various buttons, monitors and keypads.
"And please tell me you know how to do that." Amber sighed.
"Go over to that far keyboard and-" Davenport stated before Amber took the glass of iced tea that was sitting near the monitor and poured it all over the control panel, which caused a fit of sparks to fly before the bars on the cage began to lower into the floor, setting the four free.
"Or that works too." Davenport said as Douglas, Marcus and Leigh walked back in.
"Bravo. But just ' a dog gets out of his cage doesn't mean he's going for a walk." Douglas said.
"You're not getting these kids." Davenport said as he stood in front of his bionic children.
"Wrong again, Donny." Douglas stated. "Look, the decryption is complete. Now I'll have total control of their-" He started but was cut off by Davenport kicking the remote out of his hand. "Ow!" Douglas yelled as the remote landed on the catwalk above the lab. Douglas growled before charging his brother.
"Guys run!" Davenport yelled as he tried to fight off his brother.
"We're not leaving without you!" Bree yelled.
"We can't leave Leigh either." Adam said to his siblings.
"Marcus, Leigh!" Douglas yelled. "Stop them!" He added as Leigh and Marcus stood in
the entryway
"I don't want to hurt you Leigh." Adam said as he raised his fists.
"Such a gentleman." Leigh mused. "Too bad i'm not the one who's getting hurt." She said
before her hand lit up with a green fireball. Bree rushed at Leigh before she disappeared
and reappeared behind Bree. Leigh wrapped an arm around Bree's neck as Marcus slammed Adam to the ground. Amber ran up behind Leigh and grabbed a fist full of her hair and forcefully yanking on it, pulling Leigh away from Bree. Amber let go and Leigh gave the blonde a murderous look. "You really shouldn't have done that." Leigh said as she threw a green fireball at Amber who quickly ducked and saw Marcus trying to kick Chase into a large meat grinder.
"Amber!" Bree yelled. "Go see if any of those buttons will close the floor." Bree said before running towards Chase who was dangling over a giant meat grinder. Amber ran over to the control panel as Adam slammed Leigh against the wall. Leigh furiously squirmed against Adam's hold.
"C'mon Leigh." Adam growled as he struggled to hold her. "I know you're in there." He
said before Leigh stopped squirming and blinked a few times.
"Adam?" she asked, looking slightly dazed. Adam sighed before releasing her.
"Oh thank god." Adam said as he cupped her face before Leigh grabbed the back of his
head and slammed it against the wall.
"Gotcha." She smiled, her eyes flashing a bright fluorescent green. Leigh spotted Amber at the control table and quickly geo leaped and pulled Amber away and tossed her to the side. Amber glared at her cousin before Leigh quickly used her molecular kinesis to grab Amber by the throat and began to choke her out. Amber kicked her feet and clawed at her throat, Leigh's grasp being much tighter than Marcus'. Chase spotted Amber from his spot hanging off the catwalk. He quickly threw out his hand and used his own molecular kinesis to grab Leigh and throw her across the room, away from Amber. Amber fell to the floor right as she saw Chase lose his grip on the catwalk. Amber threw herself at the control panel, hitting a random button, causing the floor to close right as Chase hit it. Amber let out a sigh of relief as Adam helped his brother up. Bree rushed to her brother's' side as they surrounded Marcus.
"You may be strong, but let's see you take on all three of us." Adam said as Leigh pulled herself off of the floor.
"Like he could manage that." Leigh said as she shot her lighting bolts at the three bionic teens, causing them all to fall on the floor.
"I wanted to do that." Marcus yelled at Leigh.
"Boo, fucking hoo." She spat as Douglas fell to the floor.
"Now they're mine!" He yelled at Davenport as he held up the remote. A large figure crashed through the roof of the lab, drawing everyone's attention
"Exoskeleton in the house!" Leo's voice echoed through the suit.
"Leo!" Amber said as she nudged Bree.
"How do you like me now Marcus?" Leo asked as he shot lasers at Marcus before
Marcus pushed the giant suit Leo was nestled into the floor. Leo squirmed as he struggled to pull the large suit off of the floor.
So this thing can bust through walls and shoot lasers but it can't get back up?!" Leo yelled as he continued to struggle.
"Time to finish you for good Leo." Marcus said before Leigh pushed him out of the way.
"Please, you can't even get the job done." Leigh laughed as her hand produced a green fireball. Marcus quickly pulled himself off the floor before blasting Leigh off to the side, causing her to hit the wall and fall to the floor unconscious.
"Now you're mine." Marcus laughed at Leo as he had small rotating razors spring from his knuckles.
"Get away from him!" Adam bellowed as his body began to vibrate.
"Whats happening?" Amber asked as blue beams of light began to radiate off Adam.
"I think he just discovered his new ability!" Bree exclaimed before Chase pulled the two girls behind him before a huge blue wave flew off of Adam and caused the whole room
to shake, taking Marcus out with it.
"Leigh!" He yelled as he ran towards the unconscious girl on the floor while Chase and Bree grabbed Leo off the floor.
"We have to go, the whole place is caving in." Chase said.
"Adam we have to get out of here!" Bree yelled as Adam picked up Leigh.
"She won't wake up." He said, his voice shaking as he gently shook Leigh's body. "C'mon
Leigh, wake up." Adam breathed before Chase pulled at his brother's shoulder.
"We have to go!" He told his brother as more pieces of the ceiling began to fall towards them.
"We'll take care of her once we get back to the lab." Davenport said, "but we have to get
out of here." He added.
"You're not going anywhere." Marcus yelled as he conjured a bright blue orb in his hand.
"Marcus watch out!" Chase yelled just before the ceiling collapsed on top of him.
"We have to go." Amber said as she began to pull the bionic siblings out of the collapsing building.

Adam sighed as he played with his hands, waiting for Mr Davenport and his most trusted associates to be done working on Leigh. "What's taking so long?" He breathed before Bree put a hand on her brother's shoulder.
"It's gonna be okay Adam." Chase said softly as he felt Amber lightly stir from her sleeping position against his shoulder
"She was barely breathing when we got back here!" Adam yelled before rubbing his hands over his face.
"Adam, we're all scared." Bree told him. "But Leigh's the biggest fighter we know." Bree said. "She'll pull through." she added as Adam rested his head against his sister's shoulder.
"She's my best friend." He mumbled.
"I know." Bree said softly as Mr Davenport walked in. Chase quickly nudged Amber awake. Adam stood up from his chair.
"How is she?" He asked before Mr Davenport sighed.
"She's pretty worn out but she's gonna be okay." Davenport said, earning sighs of relief from the group. "Her biggest worry is getting an infection from Douglas' macgyver surgery." he added.
"So her chip isn't going to burn out her body?" Chase asked.
'Douglas injected a really powerful cocktail of steroids into her." Davenport explained. "She'll have to take supplements for the rest of her life but otherwise she'll be fine." he added.
"Can we see her?" Amber asked.
"She's still asleep, but you're more than welcome to sit with her." Davenport said as the teens made their way into the makeshift room Davenport had set up for Leigh in the lab. Amber bit her lip as she saw all the machines that were hooked up to her cousin.
"She's so pale." Leo commented as Leigh began to stir.
"Fuck," She mumbled as she opened her eyes. "What happened?" She asked, her voice hoarse.
"Holy shit, i'm so glad to see you." Adam sighed as he kissed her forehead.
"Wheres Marcus, and Douglas?" Leigh asked as she looked around the room, trying to sit up. Davenport quickly laid her back down.
"They're not an issue anymore." Davenport told her. "Do you remember anything?" Davenport asked.
"I remember douglas kidnapping us and taking us to his lair." Leigh said. "And then i woke up strapped to this table..." Leigh trailed off. "And then it gets fuzzy." She sighed as Davenport crouched down to her eye level.
"Leigh, Douglas put a bionic chip in you." He said calmly.
"Wait what?" Leigh Asked as she sat up.
"He was using his triton app to control you and use you against us." Chase explained as Leigh's eyes widened before she whipped around to face Davenport.
"You took it out though right?" She asked, Davenport staying quiet. "Mr Davenport, you took the chip out... right?" Leigh asked, beginning to panic
"Leigh.. Douglas fused it to your brainstem and spinal cord." Davenport explained.
"So?" Leigh yelled. "Open me up and take it out!" She exclaimed.
"Leigh there's an eighty percent chance the surgery would be fatal." he explained as Leigh began to tear up.
"I'll take the twenty percent." Leigh told him.
"What?" Adam yelled, not being able to believe that Leigh was this upset over being bionic, over being like him.
"Leigh, even if you do make it out alive, you'll be paralyzed from the neck down." Davenport told her. "You wouldn't be able to do anything on your own." He explained as tears spilt from leigh's eyes.
"I want it out." She growled as she ripped the bandage from the back of her neck. "Get it out!" She yelled as she began to claw at the wound on the back of her neck. "Get him out!" She screamed as she began to draw blood. Davenport quickly grabbed Leigh's hands and attempted to hold her down.
"Adam i need your help!" Davenport grunted as Leigh thrashed against him.
"Get him out of my head!" She screamed as Adam replaced Davenport's hands with his own. Leigh continued to thrash as sparks flew off her body.
"Adam be careful!" Bree yelled. "She's glitching!" She added before Leigh sent Adam flying across the room. Davenport quickly jabbed a syringe into her arm, quickly sedating her. Bree quickly ran to her brother's aid.
"You alright?" Bree asked as she helped Adam up.
"Yeah." He sighed as he brushed his sister off. "I just need some air." He mumbled before darting out of the room. Bree ran after her brother, following him upstairs and out towards the front yard.
"Adam." Bree started.
"I don't want to talk Bree." Adam spat harshly, feeling like he was going to throw up.
"Leigh can't control her bionics." Bree pointed out. "She glitched, she didn't mean to hurt you." Bree added.
"It's not that." Adam said. "Didn't you hear what she said in there?" Adam asked as he looked at his sister. "She'd rather be in a wheelchair unable to fucking feed herself than be bionic, like us." Adam explained as his eyes began to water.
"Adam.." Bree started before Adam cut her off.
"No, Bree she thinks we're freaks!" Adam yelled before shaking his head. "I can't be with someone who thinks my siblings are robot freaks!" He added before wiping a few tears that had slipped from his eyes.
"Adam, did you hear what Leigh said?" she asked as Adam looked at her confused. "She said get 'him' out." Bree explained. "She's scared because Douglas, a complete psychopath, has a tiny metal piece inside her that he programmed to do bad things." Bree stated. "She was drugged and operated on. Douglas was going to use her as some sort of evil weapon." She added. "Wouldn't you be scared too?" Bree questioned her brother.
"Yeah but.." He trailed off.
"Adam." Bree said. "She's not upset because she's bionic." Bree told him. "She's upset over how she became bionic." She stated, trying to talk down her brother.
"I just..." He started before Bree pulled her upset brother into a hug.
"It's going to be okay." Bree told Adam. "I promise." She added.
"I know." Adam sighed before pulling back from his sister.
"Let's go eat something." Bree said as she led her brother back inside.
***********Adam groaned as he sat by Leigh's bed waiting for her to wake up. It had been a few hours since the incident from when Leigh had first woken up. He lightly grabbed her hand and ran his thumb over her knuckles.
"Please be okay." He sighed as he noticed Amber by the entry way holding two mugs in her hands.
"Coffee?" She asked.
"Please." Adam said as Amber walked towards him and gently handed him one of the mugs before sitting herself on the floor against the wall.
"She still knocked out?" Amber asked. Adam nodded before taking a sip of the coffee Amber had brought him. He scrunched his nose at the taste, it not being what he was used to drinking. "What? Is it not good?" Amber questioned.
"Little strong." He told her. "Which is probably better right now anyway." He added before
running a hand over his face. The two sat in silence for a few minutes before Adam noticed Amber glancing at her phone. "Have you heard from your mom at all?" he asked.
"No." Amber sighed as she set her mug down. "I think she hates me." she added. "Well i think she thinks she hates me." Amber clarified. "And it feels like she hates me." Amber said, her voice soft. "But i know that deep down she doesn't hate me." Amber concluded. "Does that make sense?" She asked Adam.
"To an extent." He told her. "Although i'm so tired i might be having a harder time following than usual." Adam explained.
"I just feel so fucking stupid that i didn't notice anything sooner." Amber sighed. "I knew the divorce was upsetting, but i didn't know my mom was hurting so badly." Amber choked, tears spilling from her eyes.
"Amber, no one thinks to look for signs of drug abuse in their parent." Adam pointed out. "It's not your job to do that." He added.
"Well, i really don't have a job now." Amber scoffed with a sarcastic laugh. Adam looked at her confused. "Oh right, none of you know." Amber sighed. "I got fired from Vampire High." She added.
"They kicked you off the show?" Adam asked before Amber slowly nodded.
"Yup, the ratings are shitty and they need a killer season finale." She explained. "So they killed my character off and the writers are replacing me with Holland Roden." She added.
"I'm so sorry Amber." Adam said sincerely. He knew how much Amber enjoyed working on the show. "What'd Leigh say?" He asked before glancing at his unconscious girlfriend.
"I haven't told her yet." Amber sighed. "I know she's been so proud of how well i'm doing in school and... i don't know, i'm scared to tell anyone." Amber sighed. "My dad doesn't even know and i didn't want to tell any of you guys because i knew once Chase found out he'd give me shit for it." Amber rambled before tucking her head into her knees.
"Chase gives everyone shit." Adam explained. "And Leigh and your dad arent gonna
care that you got fired. Leigh would sit and eat ice cream with you until you felt better." Adam told her. "And you know Bree would suggest a new pair of shoes and lattes to cheer you up." He added with a laugh. Amber nodded before giving Adam a small smile.
"Thanks, but please don't say anything." She told him. "I need to tell Leigh and my Dad myself." She added. Adam nodded before he heard shuffling from Leigh's bed. He looked over and saw Leigh slowly sitting herself up.
"Hey." He said softly as he set his coffee down.
"Hi." Leigh mumbled as she looked around the room. She looked at her fingers before
glancing at Adam. "Are you mad at me?" She asked, her voice small.
"What?" Adam asked, clearly confused. "Of course not." He told her as he cupped her face. "Why would i be mad at you?" He questioned as he ran a thumb over her cheek
"I threw you against the wall." Leigh said with teary eyes as she turned her gaze towards the ceiling. Adam pulled Leigh into a hug and ran a hand over her back.
"It was an accident." He told her before pulling back. "I'm fine." He told her as he swiped tears off her cheeks.
"Promise?" Leigh asked.
"Promise." Adam said before placing a kiss on her forehead. "I'm just glad you're okay."
He added.
"Me too." Amber said, before Leigh looked over at her disheveled cousin. Amber swiftly made her way over towards Leigh and pulled her into a tight hug.
"I'm so glad you guys are okay." Leigh sighed before pulling away from Amber.
"I'm gonna go get you some water, and let Mr Davenport know you're awake." Amber said with a small smile before walking out of the makeshift room.
