Chapter 25

Bella's POV

How could Harry say that to me or about me? Ever since he started at Hogwarts I've been there for him. Even when father had me go into hiding, I told Harry he could still contact me if he needed to. Sirius must have told him something to make him act that way towards me. If Harry thinks I'll have mine and Aro's daughter bring back James he better think again. Why would I want someone brought back to life that was mean, cruel, and abusive towards me? Mum and Remus are the only ones that knew what James was doing to me. I never did tell father, I don't know if Remus had ever said anything to him when he was teaching DADA at Hogwarts. Remus had known longer then mum did, he had showed up at Potter Manor one day to take me to Flourish and Blotts, when mum was at the Longbottom's. Mum didn't find out until just before Harry was born. It had surprise me when mum threatened to leave him if he didn't stop. But he continued and it only got worse once we were forced to go into hiding. I was so distracted by my memories that I didn't notice that Aro had come into the sewing room where I was making Draco's robes for school. When Aro wrapped his arms around my waist I jumped.

"Isabella, sweetheart are you alright?" Aro asked.

"No." I mumbled. As I set my wand down and turned in his arms to face him. I didn't even realize that I was crying until Aro removed his arms from my waist and brought his hands to my face to wipe the tears away.

"Is this about what happened at Headquarters?" he asked.

"Partly." I sniffled. "Is...is my father still here?" I asked.

"Yes, he is." came my father voice from the doorway. "I wanted to make sure you were alright before I left. But apparently you're not; you've never been a crier. Unless something was really wrong." he said. I knew I needed to tell him, I should have told him years ago about what James did. Although it probably wouldn't surprise him because of the way James was towards him.

"Did Remus every talk to you about anything, besides the wolfbane potion?" I asked.

"You mean the abuse that James Potter was putting you through, Angel. " he answered.

"Yes." I mumbled leaning into Aro's arms. At this information Aro tensed and slightly tighted his hold on me.

"He didn't talk to me about it. But he gave me his memories of what he had walked in on. When I see the way Remus reacted to what was happening to you. I was very glad that your mum had made Remus your godfather." father replied.

"Do I want to know what James was doing?" Aro asked. I shared a look with my father before looking at Aro.

"You're not going to like it, but since you're my soul mate you have the right to know. You know that iron burns a Fae's skin and if they are exposed to it to long it can kill them." I said. At his nod I continued. "James had gotten some strips of iron from someone or somewhere. And was pressing them into my skin mainly the back of my neck."

"That's how you got the scars on the back of your neck." Aro stated.

"Yes." I answered.

"I noticed the scars when I braided your hair this morning. I knew you had been through a lot, before and after you meet the Cullen's. So, I wasn't sure if the scars were from before or after you had met them or from what happen with that nomad ..." Aro replied but cut himself off.

"Aro, what is it?" father asked.

"James." Aro said.

"What about him?" father replied.

"I think Aro's talking about the nomad that had hunted and attacked me, father. The nomads name if you recall from the memories I had gave to you. His name was James." I replied. He nodded.

"If you're alright, Angel I'm going to go and get started on the potions you should be taking." father told me.

"I'll be fine, father. I've got Aro and Grandmother if I need anything, but if I need you I'll be sure to send my Patronus. Did you get finished with the potions for the Hospital Wing?" I replied/asked.

"No, I had to recruit some help." he replied.

"May I ask who?" I said.

"Hermione and Draco. And that reminds me, have you ever noticed the looks Draco has given to Hermione and vice versa?" he replied/asked.

"You mean the same looks Aro gives to me?" I asked. Father nodded. "Yes, I noticed in my seventh year. When Draco said something about Buckbeak and Hermione punch him in the nose. Before Draco ran off with those two goons, Draco looked like he wasn't just in pain by the expression on his face you would have thought he had just met Merlin himself.

"I can't believe I missed the signs." father said.

"Yeah, you seemed to figure out pretty quickly when I started having those dreams in my sixth year. That was when you had told me about the prophecy about me. That I was the soul mate to a vampire and it was just the matter of finding out who it was. I think I read every book on vampires I could get my hands on. I'm guessing you want me to play matchmaker?" I replied/asked.

"You know me so well, Angel." he replied with a smirk. "I'll see you in the morning." he said and then left.

Aro's POV

"Isabella, are you going to be alright?" I asked.

"I'll be fine, Aro. Just don't be surprised if I wake up screaming sometime during the night." Isabella replied as she laid her head against my chest.

"If you do I'll be there to calm you down, Sweetheart." I replied making her smile.

"What do you think about Hermione's idea?" she asked.

"Is there a difference between a Wizarding Wedding and a Muggle Wedding?" I asked.

"Yes. For one it's shorter than a Muggle Wedding. With a Wizarding Wedding you exchange rings and vows, and can also be bonded by magic if you wish." she replied.

"We are already bonded to each other as soul mates. What would be the point in being bonded by magic?" I replied/asked.

"You would be able to apparate straight to me once you learn if we were bonded by magic." she replied. I nodded.

"That could be useful, especially if one of us needed help from the other. I'm all for having a Wizarding Wedding if you are, Isabella." I replied. She looked up at me and smile.

"Then I need to go shopping for a wedding dress tomorrow. I really can't wait until I can call you my husband, Aro." she replied before kissing me. Then she turned back to the table to finish Draco's school robes. Once she was finished she called one of the house elves. This one was the first time I had seen it.

"Yes, Miss Isabella." replied the elf.

"Tillie, will you please see to that Mr. Malfoy's school robes are cleaned no later than tomorrow afternoon." Isabella requested.

"Yes, Miss Isabella, Tillie will make sure that it is done." Tillie replied as she took the robes from Isabella.

"Thank you, Tillie." Isabella told Tillie.

"Tillie is happy to help, Miss Isabella." Tillie replied then left with a pop.

"When do you want to get married, Sweetheart?" I asked as I wrapped my arms around her waist. She looked thoughtful for a moment.

"Before the school term starts. Which start in twelve days." she replied.

"How about the day after we go to Hogwarts. That would give us a week and a day to ourselves before the students arrive." I said. She nodded.

"I like that idea. The only thing I still have to do before the school term starts is work on my lesson plans." she replied with a grin.

"Whatever will we do now?" I asked. She smirked at me and placed her hand on my cheek and dropped her shield.

"My thoughts exactly, Sweetheart." I replied as I picked her up. And headed to our rooms, we past Eileen showing Chione, Serena, Mina, and Linda around. As I rounded the corner I heard Eileen said.

"Aro, Isabella don't forget to put a silencing spell up this time. I really don't want to know what my granddaughter is doing behind closed doors with her soul mate."

"Maybe you should just learn not to listen, grandmother." Isabella retorted to Eileen comment.

"So, much like her father." I heard Eileen whisper. I chuckled.

A.N: I know I haven't updated in a while. It's just real life as been a bit difficult lately. I am still working on my stories when I can and I will try to get another chapter out for Worth the Wait sometime this month.
