June 1:

It had been two weeks since the fight between Elliot and McKinley and both FBI agents still found themselves at the 1-6, much to the dismay of everyone there. Both Porter and McKinley were going through each and every little detail of every case and victim, trying to find something they had missed. The two had been scheduled to leave a few days ago, however when Porter overheard Elliot say something about Olivia receiving more notes, he knew he had to put that detail into the report, causing their investigation in the city to become even longer.

Elliot did whatever he could to avoid even looking at McKinley, while he continued to investigate the man in private. Olivia, on the other hand, tried to avoid being anywhere with McKinley. She felt weird around the man. Every time he was next to her she got an odd feeling, and she couldn't help there was something about him that everyone knew but wasn't telling her.

She sat at her desk and watched McKinley work across the room. She watched as he read a file, before highlighting a few details and turning to his computer.
"Morning."

Olivia turned towards the door and saw Porter walk in. He knew Elliot and Fin, even Munch & Cragen, were a little hostile towards he and his partner, but he still wanted to try and make things okay between them. After all, they needed to help each other out if they were going to solve this case.

"Hey Porter come here," Olivia said, watching as both Porter walked toward her desk and McKinley looked up to watch his partner. She knew they were within ear distance, but she didn't care.

"What's up?" Porter asked, as he took a seat in the chair next to Olivia's desk.

Olivia glanced back up at McKinley, before her eyes settled on Porter. "McKinley, he's got kids right?"

Porter took a sip of the coffee in his heads, looked over his shoulder at his partner, before facing the detective. "Yeah. Although they're really all better off."

Olivia raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

"I'm just saying he's kind of a deadbeat father. The whole year we've been working together he hasn't once bothered to even call his kids."

McKinley, tired of hearing Porter talk shit behind his back, stood from his chair and walked over to the two. Porter, unaware that his partner was behind him, continued. "Honestly I don't understand why he's so upset with his son's step-dad. The man's more of a father than he ever was."

With that McKinley stormed out of the room, too angry to even say anything to his ass of a partner. Porter, not really caring that he just pissed off his partner, stood from his seat, gave Olivia a smile, and walked over to the files McKinley had left.

Olivia, still feeling a bit uneasy about McKinley, turned back to her computer. She was done replying to half of her emails when Cragen walked up behind her and spoke. "Liv," he said quietly. He knew she was going to be upset, especially now, but it was her time.

Olivia turned to face her captain, an eyebrow arched. "Cap?"

Cragen placed a file on her desk. "Finish up this paperwork, then it's time for you to go on maternity leave," he said, before placing the papers allowing her to take off the next few weeks on her desk. Before he could hear Olivia gripe and complain, he walked away.

Olivia stared at the paperwork on her desk, before her eyes settled on the papers Cragen had just delivered. 'Maternity leave'. The thought just made everything that much more real. She was so close to having a baby now, it was only a matter of weeks. She quickly finished up the last few sentences of her report, before printing the page, and placing the finished document in the case file. She quickly closed it, before standing up and putting the file on Fin's desk for him to file with his piece of the paperwork.

She walked over to the end of the squad room, before climbing the stairs that led to the cribs and their lockers. If she was going to spend a few weeks back at home, she was going to need to get the books that had been keeping her entertained when she was either on break or waiting for Elliot.

She walked into the cribs, stopping when she saw McKinley on the phone at the opposite end of the room. Part of her wanted to just leave and come back, still wanting to be as far away from him as she could, however part of her wanted to apologize for Porter earlier.

"No, no Porter has no idea," he said, fidgeting with something in his pocket.

Olivia tilted her head, intrigued. What was McKinley talking about? What did Porter not know? She continued to listen to him talk on the phone, growing more and more suspicious of the man. "I understand," he responded once more. "No one else has any idea either. They have no idea what's really happening."

Olivia, scared of what she had overheard, turned to walk back out of the room, however she was too late. "Olivia?"

Olivia turned to see McKinley pull a pair of glasses out from his pocket, before shoving his phone into the same pocket. "Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt your phone call," she said, trying to avoid speaking of what she had heard. She casually walked up to her locker and unlocked it, before opening the door.

"No, it's fine. I was finished anyway," McKinley said, before he used the end of his shirt to clean the lenses of his glasses. "Looking to get away?" he asked, taking a few steps towards the detective.

Olivia shook her head, before reaching into her locker and grabbing two books. "I'm officially on maternity leave. Just trying to get something to keep me busy." She quickly closed the locker door, and turned, scared to see McKinley really close to her. "I'm sorry," she said, apologizing for nearly running into him.

McKinley shook his head, before he placed the glasses over his eyes and looked at the detective. Olivia looked the agent in the eye, her heart dropping. "Don't apologize, it's my fault," he said, referring to how close he was to her. Olivia, however, knew he was referring to something completely different. He was referring to that night. That horrible night when she stared into her rapist's brown eyes as he hit and raped her in front of Elliot.

It was those brown eyes she couldn't forget. Those brown eyes she dreamed about constantly. And it was those brown eyes she was positive she was staring at. She had found him. She had found the man who raped her.
