A/N. Honestly I have nothing to say other then this. The schedule I currently have is going to be altered. I'm starting up a new story on Monday that has nothing to do with Frozen. Now for the phrase. Viimeinen käännös. To the story.
Chapter 25: The Key Piece Collected
Everybody returned to the courtyard of the Serpince castle. They had no luck in finding the key piece. Except for Georgia. She ran up to the group puffing and panting with a small piece of parchment in her hands. After catching her breath, she spoke to them.
"I believe I've found our missing key piece but you're not going to like where it is" Georgia informed.
"Where is it" Ticf asked before Georgia passed him the parchment.
"Look at that parchment" Georgia ordered.
"Okay" Ticf replied, sceptical. "Dear father. This is bullshit. We enter there and the Serpince people will suspect us in killing them."
"I know but I've read the other parchments, scrolls and books on that place and all have stated that they used the last key piece as a reminder of the 'evil' magic can do. If only they knew that the piece itself was magical" Georgia replied with a shiver down her spine.
"Why don't one or two of us go and collect it and the others return to searching everywhere else" The Cat suggested.
"Okay, me and The Cat will go and collect the key piece. Any objections" Ticf asked.
"You two don't know how to navigate the area. Best take me along with you two" Georgia countered.
"Logical" Ticf nodded.
"It's agreed upon, us three go to that place, the others, act like your still searching" The Cat nodded before seeing several Serpince guards walk up to them. "What do these guys want?"
"Have you found the thing your looking for" the lead guard asked with a grunt.
"Not just yet. We were discussing where to look" Ticf answered.
"What's in the former queen's hands" another guard asked.
"A possible reference to the key piece we are searching for" Georgia snarled.
"Listen, if you don't hurry up and find that key piece, the people are going to kill you all" the lead guard grunted.
"Listen, this is like finding a needle in a city sized hay stack. You can't expect us to find that needle in that hay stack in a matter of hours. Move the hay stack even the slightest and the needle will be in a new area" The Cat replied with a pur.
"But your needle as you say should be in the same spot" the lead guard grunted.
"I know, I'm just saying it is hard to find the needle in the hay stack" The Cat replied with a frustrated sigh.
"Just find it and leave. The people are fearful of you staying. Some are suspecting that you already have your key piece and are just waiting to attack them. Others are saying your lying about the whole situation and are just stalling so your magical allies have time to arrive" the guard grunted.
"We will. Just let us find the key piece. Give us another two hours and we should have the key piece" Ticf requested.
"You got another two hours but prepare for the citizens to attack you when you have the time given gone" the guard sighed.
"That is all we need" Anna smiled.
"It better, for your sake" the guard grunted.
The guard group left before everyone did as they planned to do. Ticf, Georgia and The Cat all walked up to the tallest tower in the Serpince capital. It was a tall building. The tower spiralled up into the sky and was made from some sort of stone none of them could name. Luckily for them, no guards or citizens could see them. The trio walked into the hall of the building to find marble floor, pillars and mosaic walls. Giving each other a nod, they walked towards a large set of oak wooden doors. The Cat reached out to open the door only to recoil his hand.
"What is it feline" Ticf asked.
"The Snow Queen is either here or was here not too long ago. The air is still cold from her presence" The Cat explained.
"We better be extra careful. Seeing what she is capable off first had only leaves us that option" Ticf whispered as the door was slowly opened by the cat like companion.
"Don't have to tell me twice" Georgia muttered as they walked pass the doors to find a set of stone stairs spiralling up a central column.
The trio walk silently up the stairs for the next hour until they reached the top. It wasn't exactly the best thing to do after a hectic battle just hours ago. The three exited an average wooden door to be greeted by wind and frost. The cold air was expected but the type of frost was not. The three walked out onto the platform of the tower's top to see The Snow Queen smirking at them. She held her hands behind her back and she seemed happy that they arrived.
"About time you three arrived. I was getting bored. Now I believe you want this" The Snow Queen laughed as she held her hand out over the edge of the tower and loosely held a small black key head in her hand.
"Why did you do all of this" Ticf asked as he remained unfazed by the possibility of losing the only way to bring Elsa back.
"Simple. I want control of all the Realms. But I can't get that if Elsa is alive so I plotted to get her killed and destroy the only way of stopping her being bought back from the dead" The Snow Queen laughed.
"Oh fuck you" The Cat hissed.
"Now Dante, is that how you treat your mother" The Snow Queen snickered as she lifted her little finger away from the key piece.
"How many times do I have to tell you? I am no longer your son. After you tried to kill me and actually kill your own grand child, you have been disowned from the family" The Cat snapped.
"Feline, what are you and her on about" Ticf asked before he got his answer in the form of The Cat's additional feature. "Dante Catter. Dear father, why are you helping us."
"Listen Ticf. I may have been Dante Catter but that is not who I am anymore. I've seen what I've done and did not want it to happen again. I became The Cat after I witnessed the destruction I've caused. That is why I'm helping you guys. To make amends for what I have done in the past and to atone for everything I have done" The Cat replied with angry tears threatening to escape his eyes.
"Dante" Georgia whispered with tears of her own as The Cat leapt at The Snow Queen and barrelled down the side of the tower.
"Coming" Ticf asked as he leaned over the edge to see The Snow Queen and The Cat tackling each other whilst they free fall down the side of the building.
"Are you joking? We aren't jumping" Georgia snapped.
"No. I'm not joking. We will get the key piece, The Cat and defeat The Snow Queen as he fall. As soon as that is all done, I'll make sure we survive. You just got to trust me on this" Ticf argued before he pulled Georgia down with him.
"You son of a bitch" Georgia screamed as the two sped down the tower.
Ticf reached out his hand and caught the key piece before he grabbed Georgia and engulfed the two of them in flames. Ticf and Georgia both appeared in another ball of flames and hit the ground near a café at the docks where citizens jumped away.
"That could've gone better" Ticf groaned as he sat up and opened up his hand to reveal the key piece. "But we got it."
"Ticf, where is Dante" Georgia asked as she sat up and looked around to not find The Cat.
"Here I am" the two heard The Cat laugh out.
When they turned to see him, they saw he was in bad shape. His eye was bruised. He had blood down his right arm, lip, nose and chin. He had frost on his left shoulder and all his clothes had cuts all over them.
"Dante" Georgia screamed in excitement and rushed to his side.
"Hey, nice work getting the key piece, the both of you" The Cat chuckled before he winced in pain.
"You okay Dante" Ticf asked.
"Just some bruised ribs. Nothing bad, compared to what you will do to me now that you know my name" The Cat grinned.
"Like you said, you changed. I hold a grudge against the old you. Not this you" Ticf chuckled before he noticed the rest of the group.
"Ticf, explain to me what that was about?! You three were suppose to get the key piece and weren't going to use your powers" Anna growled.
"The Snow Queen happened. She got to the key piece and we had to deal with her first. She blasted us over the edge with some snowy wind with the key piece. Ticf grabbed me and was forced to do so. The Cat used his own powers to get out of there" Georgia half lied.
"Okay, but who is Dante" Anna asked.
"Me" The Cat answered with gritted teeth.
"You better be Dante Catter" Anna growled.
"Funny thing. I am" The Cat laughed.
"What" Anna screamed. "Ticf, how can you trust this guy? Especially after the things you have told me he had done."
"Anna, I changed. I'm not Dante Catter no more. All I am is The Cat. Nothing more, nothing less" The Cat replied with a calm voice.
"I guess your old habits don't die. Always calm until a particular point. I guess it also explains how you put on so many voices. It was your default option when Realm guards asked what you saw. You pretended to be someone else except Dante Catter" Ticf laughed.
"I knew there was a reason I liked you feline" Velna smiled.
"Anyway, we better leave. We got what we came for now we need to get to the Gates of Bladed Resurrector" Ticf ordered.
"The Gates of Bladed Resurrector? You mean that place" Anna asked with mortified horror.
"Afraid he does. Bladed the Resurrector was great warrior but the gates he built for his temple of resurrection were overwhelmed by the forces of those that wish to rule the Realms" Firl grumbled.
"Even after their death, the power hungry will resurrect there. These power hungry monsters will only truly die if the gates are either captured by those who seek independence or if the gates are destroyed" The Cat finished.
"Who is Bladed" Lilly asked.
"He was a great half human, quarter demon, quarter angel warrior. He could live forever if he didn't sacrifice himself to save Decoy's then pregnant wife from Wrath's servants. All that was left of him was his sword. A black metal blade with a crucifix on both ends of the cross guard. Down the blade was a quote from the Bible about when Jesus resurrected from the dead. On the other side of the blade was a spell written in Roman. The blade had four hooks on either side. The weapon was twice the length of his arm, which made the sword a metre long. At the very bottom of the hilt was a small clear metal that held blood from any foe defeated by the blade" Ticf explained.
"So in other words, Bladed was a dangerous yet respectable warrior. He saved my father's then wife. How long ago was that" Betas frowned.
"Nine and a half years ago. Around the same time you were born Betas" Ticf answered.
"Woah, woah, woah, do I look nine and a half years old" Betas snapped.
"You would, if you did grow up in your home Realm" Ticf snapped back.
"What do you mean? I have always lived in Hell but then I left a few years ago and Yama took me in" Betas snarled.
"Sorry Betas, but the man is right. Even I know we never were born in Hell. We were born on Earth. I realised that we grew up a little too quickly. Betas, we are half human" Sparrow whispered in Betas, head.
"Not you too Sparrow" Betas whispered with tears threatening to escape her eyes.
"Sorry but we're from Earth. Our mother is human" Sparrow whispered before Betas widen her eyes.
"That means that..." Betas muttered before she looked at Rina.
"About time you got that" the group heard someone shout.
They immediately knew who it was by the voice before they turned. There they saw The Snow Queen, bleeding from various cuts.
"Get out of here. I got this" Betas growled.
"Suit yourself. But how would you feel if you lost your sister again? I drove Decoy away from his wife along with you. It was to keep the two of you away from each other. The twin sisters of the Vaqu house. Sure I eliminated your brother, Yudol. The Vaqu family would play a predominant role in my defeat so why not slowly eliminate them. But now the twin sisters are back together. The last of the Vaqu house" The Snow Queen snarled.
"You mean, Betas and Sparrow, are the twin towards Rina? You truly are evil for doing this" Lilly screamed as she sent an ice attack towards The Snow Queen.
"Precisely" The Snow Queen hissed as she countered the attack.
"Lilly, stop, there are bystanders" Anna called.
"Listen, I don't have time for this. I need to resort to plan B. See you at the Gates of Bladed Resurrector" The Snow Queen darkly chuckled before she melted into the black liquid and disappeared.
"Bitch" The Cat screamed once the witch disappeared.
"Calm down Dante" Georgia insisted. "You're injured."
"How can I be calm? That bitch has destroyed far too many lives. She ruined my life because she dumped me in the Apocalypse Realm. She killed Elsa. She allowed the Sins to thaw out Death Storm. She killed Cleo. She caused Anna's death. She will continue to do stuff like that until she is ruler of the Realms" The Cat shouted, scaring everyone.
"Dante, please calm down" Georgia insisted.
"Don't call me Dante. If you know what is best for you, you will let me be for a few days" The Cat snarled before he walked towards the ship, albeit he was injured.
"I've never seen him go off like that" Yama stated as everyone watched the retreating figure that was The Cat.
"We better go and get to the ship. The Cat is just angry that we couldn't stop The Snow Queen before the resurrection. Let's move" Ticf ordered before he looked over at The Cat's retreating for. "If father forbid us from saving Elsa. Then why are you with us Dante."
The group gave each other knowing glances before they left. They arrived at the ship, all in desperate need for rest. Velna and Lilly however, stayed awake and watched the stars on the deck. Velna was not use to having one eye but she didn't mind. It was confusing for her to know how Lilly knew her nerve endings were burnt away in her eye from just a simple look. Then she remembered the lessons Lilly took from Snipes. Because of the ex-assassin and his teachings, Lilly was knowledgable in anatomy and medical treatments. Lilly was smiling as she knew they could bring back Elsa, her mother of all people. But there was one negative thing on her mind. What if, Elsa didn't remember a thing?
A/N. There we go. Subplot was finalised. The main events were set in play for the main section of the story. Don't worry, Elsa will be back in a few more chapters. Just please be patient about this fact. Now for the translation. Last translation. End translation. Yeah, that actually will be the last translation. Bye.
