AUSTIN'S POV
I spent the next week after I told Jimmy I wasn't doing the tour coming up with the perfect way to get Ally back. I love her more than anything and I need her back by my side, so I can't mess this up. I'm still mad at myself for hurting her in the first place.
Jimmy, like Brady, was surprisingly ok with my decision. I was so nervous that he was going to be mad at me and possibly drop me from his label, but I had nothing to worry about. Jimmy has always been strictly professional, so when he opened up to me I was shocked to say the least. It was about an hour before I boarded my tour bus and left for New York.
"Austin, "Jimmy spoke softly. "When I first starting dating my wife, I knew she was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I don't know Ally that well, but I do know you and I can tell that she is really special to you. I've never seen you happier than when you were with her. Normally, I wouldn't allow my clients to get away with something like this, but I'm going to make an exception. Now go and get your girl before I change my mind."
"Thank you sir," I replied. "You won't regret this."
I never got nervous until I met Ally. I can perform in front of literally hundreds of people without getting a single butterfly in my stomach. But now here I am, standing outside Ally's door and my palms are sweaty, my face is flushed, and my throat is dry. My heart feels like it is beating out of my chest and I feel like I've lost any and all confidence I may have once had. I couldn't remember anything I had planned. I raised my fist and knocked.
Ally opened the door. She was in her pajamas, she had bed head, and judging from the makeup smeared around her tired eyes, it looked like she had been crying. Despite all of that, she still looked beautiful. But it broke my heart to know that she had been crying, and that I was most likely the reason for her tears.
"Austin," she breathed.
"Hey, Ally." Really? Hey, Ally? That's the best you got?
"No," Ally mumbled to herself. "I must be dreaming. "
She looked up at me.
"You're not really here right now. I-I'm dreaming."
"I'm here," I said cupping her face in my hand and looking into her big doe eyes. "This isn't a dream, Als."
"Oh my god," Fresh tears began making their way down Ally's porcelain cheeks as she threw her arms around my neck and hugged me tight. "What-what are you doing here? Why aren't you on tour?"
"I didn't want to go on tour," I replied. "Not without you. Ally, I made a mistake and I acted like a weasel and I ended up hurting you in the process. I was so focused on my career that I forgot what's important to me and that's you."
Ally stayed quiet as I wiped her tears away with my thumb.
"I think about you all the time. From the moment I wake up in the morning until I go to bed at night the thought of you never leaves my mind. I want to know that you're safe. I want to know that you're happy. I want to know that you know that I love you. "
"I know you do," Ally whispered as I tucked her chestnut hair behind her ear.
"You deserve the world," I continued. "And I want to be the one to give it to you if you'll let me. I'm so sorry, Ally. Can you forgive me?"
Ally threw her arms around my neck for the second time and buried her face in my chest.
"Yes," she looked up at me and I looked back at her. "I forgive you, Austin."
I rested my forehead against Ally's. I had never felt so happy.
"Will you please take me back?" I whispered.
Ally grabbed my shirt, pulled my face down to her, and placed a soft sweet kiss on my lips.
"Yes," she giggled. "I will."
"But what about your career?" Ally placed her petite hands on my muscular forearms. "I-I don't want you to lose it. I know how important it is to you."
"I thought I made it clear that you are more important to me than all of that," I replied. "You will always come first. And I am not losing my career, so there's nothing for you to worry about. Okay, beautiful?"
"Okay," she agreed.
"Come on," I picked her up and began making my way over to her bed. "You look exhausted."
"Austin?"
"Yes, princess?"
"I love you."
It felt so good to hear her say that.
"I love you too," I replied kissing her forehead.
