Something More Chapter 25

Loren's plane landed in LA. The limo was waiting. She turned to Brenda. "Have my luggage taken to my Condo please."

"Yes I'll arrange it Loren."

"Thank you." The limo driver opened the door for her. "Where too Miss Tate?"

"My Condo please."

Within the hour Loren was back home. Mel was coming down from upstairs. "Lo why didn't you call me?"

"For what?"

"It's all over the news, you're engaged to Rick!"

"What? That's not true, I never said yes."

"Well it's all over the internet."

"I have to shower, if they drop off my things just leave them here."

"Lo what happened why are you rushing?"

"I turned him down Mel, I can't marry him, I feel horrible dating Rick all these months and for nothing, I felt I was just a friend for Rick, nothing more, I swear I tried Mel, I really did."

"Loren you've known the truth all along, you know who you love, are you going to be ok?"

Loren sat on the stairs leading to the bedrooms. "No I'm not ok…I'm a mess Mel, I dated Rick with no intention of going anywhere with him, I don't love him, I felt trapped and then Eddie shows up at Phil's wedding and tells me he loves me."

Mel sat next to her. "Ian said he's really freaking out, he saw it; he thinks you're engaged to Rick."

"I have to see him Mel."

"Actually he's on his way here with Ian; we're going to at some condo's."

"Don't say anything to Eddie, let me talk to him, I'm going to go shower."

"Ok Lo, no worries, this is one thing I'm not getting involved in."

Loren went up to shower, her luggage arrived and Mel took it up to her room.

Ian and Eddie were driving to Mel's. "Mate if you don't want to go it's ok."

"I have to deal with this Ian; I think a move out of LA is the best thing for me."

"So running away is the answer, you're not going to talk to her?"

"I told her I loved her Ian, there's nothing else I can do, if I'm far from this area it will be easier to deal with."

"Let me park, you want to wait while I get Mel or you want to come up?"

"I'll come up; we can show Mel the choices she has online."

"Good point."

Ian looked for a place to park. Meanwhile Loren was finally done and stepped out of the shower into her room, she looked for something comfortable to wear. She picked out some sweat pants and a tank top, she combed her hair leaving it to dry on its own. She sat on her bed. She heard noise and walked to the door. It was Ian and Eddie. Her heart skipped a beat. She looked in the mirror. "Ok Loren be brave and face the music."

She went down the stairs. Ian was the first to see her, he smiled. "Loren what are you doing here?"

"I got in a few hours ago."

Mel was returning from the kitchen with Eddie in tow, he looked to see who Ian was talking too; he turned to see Loren standing at the end of the staircase.

"Ian I think I know which one I want to see, Eddie showed me a few."

Ian caught on. "Yeah sure." He turned towards Eddie who just stood there looking at Loren. They left and Loren smiled shyly. "Hi."

"I thought you were in Italy?"

"I was I'm back."

"Listen Loren, I want to congratulate you, I heard you're engaged, I wish you and Rick the best."

"How did you find out?"

"It was all over the net, anything you do now is big news."

Loren walked to where Eddie stood. "So I'm considered famous now?"

"Yeah I guess you can say that, I'm happy for you Loren."

She knew Eddie was being honest with his comments. She took a deep breath and finally said it.

"I broke up with Rick."

Eddie narrowed his eyes, he scanned Loren's face, was he dreaming. "You're serious?"

"Yes I'm serious, I couldn't do it Eddie." She walked closer to him, holding his face with her two hands. She smiled. "I can't marry him when I'm crazy in love with someone else."

He finally made eye contact with her, looking deep into those hazel eyes, trying so hard to believe her.

"Loren don't toy with me."

"I can't stop thinking of you, the day you kissed me at Phil's wedding; that's all I've thought about."

"I meant it Loren; I'm so in love with you."

She looked him in the eyes again, his eyes said so much, but now this moment, they told her there was so much in store for them both, hope, love and passion.

This time she took the initiative, she leaned in brushing her lips against his. "And I love you Eddie; I love you so much my heart hurts."

He smiled holding her from her waist and bringing her in for a kiss, a kiss Eddie knew he had longed for.

The kiss seemed to last forever. He broke away to catch his breath, still looking at her, not wanting to lose eye contact with her. "I was ready to leave; I couldn't see my life without you in it."

"Eddie I waited so long to hear you say it, it's you I've always loved, only you."

"You were killing me with Danny then Rick."

Loren giggled biting her lower lip. "I felt so bad for him, he proposed in Italy, I turned him down a second time, I knew it right there and then, it's here with you where I belong."

He cupped her face bringing her into another kiss, a kiss full of love, he finally felt what he longed for, someone in his arms that truly understood what true LOVE was.

They sat in the lounge chair cuddling and kissing, Loren finally fell asleep leaning on Eddie's chest, he sat there watching her sleep, listening to her heart, caressing her skin with his fingers, he felt secure with Loren.

He lost track of time until Mel and Ian walked in. They were quiet and suddenly stopped when they came upon Eddie holding Loren while she slept. He placed his finger on his mouth to signal them to be quiet.

Mel approached him. "Omg does this mean what I think it means?"

Eddie smiled bringing Loren closer to him. "Yes, now go away."

Mel turned to Ian. "I told you we would find them together!"

Ian rolled his eyes. "Come on love, leave these two alone, my mate here looks very comfortable with his lady."

"I'm too excited, I knew this would eventually happen, they belong together!" Mel kept talking and talking.

Ian held Mel's hand and dragged her into the kitchen. Later that evening Loren got ready slipping into some skinny jeans and a tank top and flats, she left with Eddie; they were heading to his parents' home.

They arrived, parked and held hands as they walked into the huge Duran mansion. Max was the first to spot them, he furrowed his eyebrows. "Loren I thought you were in Italy?"

She smiled. "Why does everyone keep saying that?"
"We heard of your engagement to Rick." He stopped when he noticed they were holding hands. "Ok you two, what's going on?"

Katy walked in. "Loren congratulations sweetie."

Loren bit her lower lip. Her eyes glanced towards Eddie, she couldn't help but smile. "I'm not engaged Katy."

She knew something was up. "Ok why are you both here?"

Eddie held her hand high enough to be seen. "She's my girl, not Rick's or Danny's!"

Loren blushed. Hearing the words his girl had the butterflies taking off all over her insides. "Loren is he serious?"

"Yes Katy, I couldn't continue with that lie." She looked at Eddie. "I love your son."

Eddie smiled as he leaned in towards her and kissed her softly. Katy smiled walking towards them. "I was wondering how long before you woke up."

"I know mom, I'm fully awake and ready to take this journey with Loren."

Loren leaned on him; she kissed him on the cheek. "I'm as ready as I'll ever be."

"So its official, Eddie is off the market?"

He rolled his eyes. "No Pops, it's the other way around, Loren is off the market, I've had competition, really tough, but no one can take my girl away."

Loren blushed down casting her look. No matter where she was with Eddie, she would always get that tint of pink blushing around him; he had and would always have that effect on her.

Weeks later Ian and Mel's wedding day arrived. Mel was a mess that morning, to the point of feeling sick. "Mel are you ready for this wedding?"

"Of course Lo, I'm just nervous, I'm excited to become Ian's wife, and life will never be the same."

"Mel, relax please, you're going to marry the man of your dreams."

"I know, now help me with my hair."

"I could have gotten a stylist in here for you, but you decided to do your own hair and make-up."

"Thanks Lo, you know I'm unique when it comes to fashion."

Loren turned to the bed where Mel's dress laid. "Ok I get the dress is closer to a slightly light pink, but why such a bright hot belt?"

"Lo that dress describes my personality, it's who I am."

Loren cringed but had to ask. "And your shoes?"

"Oh wait til you see them." Mel walked to pick up the box that held her shoes inside; she took a pair of polka dot hot pink platforms. "See, it's me right?"

Loren wanted to burst out laughing. "Omg Mel, yes that is definitely you."

Mel smiled very proud. "Thank you, I was nice enough to get you a decent color for the maid of honor dress."

Loren opened the box she had brought back from Italy. Se furrowed her eyebrows when she noticed the color.

"You realize my dress is white? You told Gia to make it white?"

"Yes of course, my plan all along."

Loren rolled her eyes; this was one wedding that no one would forget. "What is your mom wearing?"

"She refused to let me help her pick out a dress, so did Adrianna, they both said I'm too eccentric."

Loren smiled. "As long as you get to wear what you want, so do you like my hair and make-up?"

"Yes I love it when you wear your hair loose and natural, love the smoky effect that make-up gives you."

"I had to look extra special for Eddie."

"So tell me, how does it feel to date Eddie Duran?"

"Mel it's amazing, he's so romantic, there's always a surprise with him, I love him, I'm so happy."

"I bet, so tell me Lo, is he a good kisser?"

"Mel?"

"What! I can ask can I?"

Loren narrowed her eyes. "Yes! He's a great kisser."

Mel stopped what she was doing and turned her attention to Loren. "So anything else?"

"No there's nothing else and nothing you need to know."

"Ugh Lo, I swear you're so dull."

"I don't care; I'm not one to kiss and tell. She smirked as she took her robe off and put her dress on, she looked in the mirror. "Mel this looks like a wedding dress!"

There was a knock on the door. "Come in."

It was Gus, Mel's dad. "So sweetie, you ready?"

"Yes dad, let me get my shoes on and grab my bouquet and we can get going."

Loren smiled. "I'll take the bouquet with mine, you ok now?"

"Why what's wrong? Asked Gus.

"Nothing Dad, I felt a little sick. " She turned to look at herself in the huge mirror. "I think I look amazing."

Gus rolled his eyes as he smiled and looked at Loren. "Yes let's go ladies."

They walked to the waiting Limo, they arrived at the huge State Park where the ceremony and reception were being held.

Within the hour Ian Mitchell and Melissa Sanders were married. Loren and Eddie stood by their side as best man and maid of honor.

"You look amazing babe."

Loren looked around and quickly pecked his cheek with a sweet kiss. "Oh no you don't, I haven't seen you all day and all I get is a peck?"

He pulled her into a passionate kiss; Loren had to pull away and she looked at him with the sweetest smile. "I love you Eddie."

"I love you Loren." He felt secure with her.

The first dance of Ian and Mel was announced and Loren took to the stage and sang a song by Kelly Clarkson titled "A moment like this." She got the same reaction every time she sang and as always a standing ovation. She walked off stage and headed to where Eddie stood, the band started to play. Eddie reached for her hand and brought her closer for a kiss.

He smiled locking eye with her. "Let's go dance."

They swayed on the dance floor to the beautiful music. Loren wrapped her arms around Eddie's neck as they danced, they stop when it was announced that Mel and Ian were taking pictures because they were getting ready to cut the cake.

Phil walked to where Loren stood. "Loren, I'm excited for you."

"Thanks Phil, I'm very happy."

"I knew it; Eddie had to come to his senses! Now I see that sparkle."

"Are you sure? I'm very happy and excited."

"I knew you would get your prince, I was about to have a talk with him today if I saw he had not woken up to the fact that you were right there."

Eddie walked towards them with some drinks in his hands. "Hey Phil, how's married life treating you?"

"Great, I highly recommend it."

He handed Loren a glass. "Good to hear, I hope Ian and Mel can say the same thing soon."

Phil looked their way. "By the looks of things I'm sure he won't be complaining any time soon."

Adrianna walked towards them. She smiled as she tapped Phil on the shoulder.

"Phil family pictures with Mel and Ian."

"Excuse me you two." He walked away. Eddie turned towards Loren. "We're next to take pictures; can we take a walk outside?"

"Sure, it's a beautiful night."

They stepped outside the huge tents that were set up for the reception. "Eddie it's a full moon tonight, it's so romantic."

Eddie coughed slightly to get her attention, her eyes widen when she saw him holding …
