William and Marcy got captured by MECH and Jane only managed to escape because of Agent Boscop and the army soldiers. Now, Jane returns to military base and has to find a way to rescue her parents.

Chapter 25

Miko had won her bet.

Agent Boscop brang me straight down to the medical bay.

Carry and Cassy were already waiting for me when we arrived.

I was not happy to see the creepy twins again, but at least they were the only medics I could talk to.

After we had talked about what had happened, Cassy said "Please wait a minute." and left the room, followed by Carry.

Great, alone again…

I thought and because there was nothing else to do, I started counting the seconds I was alone.

It went to be eight minutes, up to the twins came back.

Cassy was carrying something I could not see.

"The good news is that you have not been hurt badly. You will be alright soon."

Carry said, but she seemed to be worried about something.

"And the bad news?"

I asked.

"There is someone who wants to see you."

"Now? I thought this is not allowed."

"Usually not, but this is a different situation."

"Who is it?"

"You will see."

I felt that there was something going wrong.

Cassy stood behind me and though there was no door, I heard someone entering the room.

Carry smiled.

Not good!

I thought and heard a voice right behind me.

"I told you, you cannot run from me."

Silas.

I turned around, but Carry grabbed my arm and suddenly I understood what was going on.

"You are working for him? I trusted you!"

Actually, I never really trusted them, but I had to say something.

"Surprised? Poor little girl."

Two MECH soldiers held me and I knew that I was in serious trouble.

"You can´t hold me!"

I went supernova and smashed the soldiers, the twins and Silas against the walls.

Silas wasn´t amused.

"You can´t get out, Jane. The door is locked and this …" He pointed to the secret door, he and the soldiers came through "… is a dead end for you. My soldiers are waiting at the end of this tunnel."

"I don´t need doors."

I smiled and opened a Groundbridge.

"You don´t go anywhere!"

Silas grabbed my shirt and threw me down.

The swirling vortex closed immediately.

"Take her!"

More soldiers came into the room.

I was outnumbered, still hurt and not in control of my full powers.

They got me down, defeated me.

"You would do well, not to play the brave girl. You are no hero."

Silas said, looking down at me.

"You would do well to remember that you don´t scare me."

I answered.

"That´s enough. Take her with."

He was cold.

I wanted to blow the soldiers off, but I was at the limit.

"Don´t be scared. I won´t hurt you … for now."

Why was it always me getting into trouble?

I had to get out, no matter the cost.

"You don´t scare me."

"We will see."

"Yeah, we will."

I swirled around and the soldiers holding me crashed into each other.

"See you later!"

I smiled and ran towards the elevator.

Luckily, it was not locked.

The door closed behind me and I fell to me knees.

Even at the military base, I was not safe from Silas´ grasp.

When the elevator stopped and the door slide open, a man stood in front of me.

"Agent Janys, are you alright? You look terrible."

I did not know the soldier in person.

We only had met in the cafeteria a few times.

"It´s… It´s Sil…"

"Alright, take a deep breath."

"Silas. He is in the medical bay."

The soldier smiled.

"I know."

He was too fast.

I was not able to move or to say something before he pushed me back into the elevator.

The soldier held me and only a second later, I stood in front of Silas again.

"Ah, there we go again, Jane. Let me say it one more time: You can´t run from me."

He said and smiled.

I was beaten.

There was no way out of this misery.

Cassy took my arm and I felt the needle touching my skin.

I was not able to fight her.

"This sedative will make you sleep. Enjoy it."

My eyes closed and the world around me turned dark and quiet.

" … I am sorry."

I still heard the female voice in my head when I woke up.

Don´t let them know what has happened. Keep it secretly.

I thought.

The last couple of hours had been confusing … scaring …

William and Marcy lay next to me.

I was glad to see them unharmed.

"What in Abraham Lincoln´s name has happened? Where are we?"

Only William could have said that.

"Calm down, we seem to be safe."

Marcy said.

"Mom! Dad!"

"Jane, you got us out of here? How?"

"Wasn´t me… I have been a fool to believe that I could fight him."

"But then how did we get out?"

"I don´t know, but I don´t really care either."

"I can´t reach anyone."

William said angrily staring at his cell phone.

"My Comn.-link is down, too."

I replied.

"Jane, can´t you bridge us out of here?"

Marcy asked.

"I can try to, but the Decepticons could track me…"

"As the Bots could. Listen, Jane. There is no other way, you have to try."

I nodded and concentrated on the place I wanted to go.

"Please, please, please …"

I whispered and saw green and blue sparkles surrounding me, but there was no Groundbridge opening up.

"I am not strong enough…"

I turned around and immediately saw the outcome of my trying.

"The Decepticon warship. We have to hide!"

But there was no place to hide.

"Get behind me."

"Don´t be a fool, dad. You can´t stop them. Let me handle this."

"But you are…"

"Do not dare to question my powers. I grow stronger when I need to."

I saw a flying object coming closer.

"The mighty Megatron himself. I would really like to say that I am honored, but that would be a lie."

"Ah, Jane. It has been a while. Surrender, and I promise not to harm your little friends."

"Okay, first thing, you never keep your promises. Second, leave my parents out of this."

"So that´s how you want it to be."

Marcy and William stood behind me, close enough to hear me whispering.

"Mom, dad, you have to run. I can´t risk you to get hurt."

They did as I said.

"Is there anyone who does not abandon you?"

Megatron rose his weapon and shot, but I was able to block him.

"That´s it! You attack me, no problem, but attacking my parents was a big mistake!"

"Shall I be scared?"

"Maybe Staria can scare you."

"She is dead!"

"Did I scare you? Do you want to find out whether she is dead or not?"

His mine froze and I smiled. Victory.

"As you wish. You are scrapped."

I remembered how I had promised myself never to do this again, to keep the danger inside and to control it, but saving my family was worth it.

My body turned blue.

My strength was back and I felt my skin turning into metal.

A purple-blue femme stood in front of Megatron.

"Oh yeah, Staria is back!"

The fight started and suddenly, Al´ and Myra appeared on the screen.

The mighty Megatron was forced to retreat.

"Lower your weapons!"

Optimus, Bumblebee and Bulkhead confronted us.

"Hey, isn´t that Jane´s little friend? Myra, right?"

Bulkhead recognized her, but they had no idea about what was going on.

"Prime! If you dare shooting my daughter…!"

Agent Fowler and Marcy were back.

"What do you mean?"

Optimus clearly was confused.

Agent Fowler turned to me – or to whom he thought to be me.

"Show them, Jane."

"The name is Staria, not Jane."

"Oh, stop joking."

"I am not joking."

Al´ moaned. "Not this again."

"What? What is it?"

Bulkhead asked.

"That´s why Jane was scared of transforming. Staria is taking control, what means that we are losing Jane…"

Within that moment, Staria transformed into vehicular mode and tried to drive off.

"Myra, catch!"

The predacon managed to stop Staria.

"We know how to handle this."

Myra and Al´ circled Staria.

"Last chance. Let Jane go."

"I am finally back in the game. Why should I let that weak girl get back in charge?"

"You do not leave us a chance. Free Jane now or we will take the initiative."

"You want to save her? Try it."

"Myra. Take. Her. Down."

Al´ was serious and Myra followed her lead.

It took them a few minutes, but they finally took Staria down.

"You got it now? You cannot win. Let Jane go."

"Never."

Staria hissed back.

Al´ gave Myra a short look.

"You know what to do."

They attacked Staria with everything they had.

Beaten, the Bot gave up.

"Alright, I got it…"

A few moments later, her glowing body transformed back into my human form.

I lay on the ground. Motionless.

"Jane?"

Al´s voice was far away.

I heard footsteps.

"Jane! What have you done to my daughter?"

It was Marcy.

Before anyone of the others got to me, I opened my eyes and saw Myra´s face in front of mine.

"Thank you."

When I tried to stand up, I nearly fell, but Myra helped me.

I leaned at her.

The Autobots rose their weapons, ready to shoot.

"Optimus, don´t! Please, they are on our side!"

"Jane, you could have been killed."

"No! They saved my life! Several times! Without them … Without them, Shockwave would have killed me! I would never have made it home! Thanks to them, I am alive."

Optimus nodded and the Autobots lowered their weapons.

I saw his face. Was he … judging me?

"Optimus, I am sorry … I know I should have told you, but Staria …"

"We have time for that later."

I was glad he understood how difficult it was.

Al´ helped me climbing on Myra´s back.

I usually did that myself, but she wanted to.

"Jane, what are you doing?"

Optimus still wasn´t trusting in my judgment.

"You will see." I smiled. "Bring it, Myra."

She speeded up and jumped into the air.

We flew in high speed and I recognized how much I had missed the wind in my hair.

I lay on her back, felt her movements and smiled.

"We will show them how much I trust in you! Up, Myra! Up!"

We got higher and higher.

"Are you ready? Go!"

I jumped off with a backflip.
