Kagome panted and rolled over in her old bed "Mamma" She called.
Her voice was not near loud enough. Kagome grunted and rubbed her belly "Now? You want to come now?"
Sesshomaru wasn't kidding when he said she would go into labor soon.
She waited until the contraction stopped and sat up. She looked around her room, and that's when she saw golden eyes.
"Sesshomaru!"
He stepped from the shadows up to her.
"Your here" She breathed happily, but he wasn't smiling.
"Your labor has started" He tucked his hand under her and lifted her.
"You need to wake my mother."
But he paid her no mind and walked down the stairs.
"Sesshomaru" She pressed "What are you doing, call for my mother."
Sesshomaru could hear the light pitter patter of rain.
"You still have some time before your water breaks."
She looked at him confused; he was acting even weirder than usual. Sesshomaru stepped outside but did not go to the shrine steps. Kagome closed her eyes as another wave of contractions hit her. When she opened her eyes, he was standing in front of the well house.
"What are you doing?" Her heart started to flutter.
"Calm down mate."
"Calm down," She said in between pants "How can I when you're scaring me."
He looked down at her "Now you fear me?"
Her eyes shot up, how could he make a joke right now? Sesshomaru stepped into the well house and down the old steps.
"Sesshomaru, I need mama." She pulled on his top as pain rushed down her back "Why are we down here."
He didn't answer her, he jumped and went down the well and landed.
"Sesshomaru" She was freaking out now.
"In another time in another place mate."
Her eyes met his golden one "Sesshomaru, what are you talking about?" She clamped her teeth down, trying to work past her pain.
"The well, it does not work" She was crying now "Why are you doing this"
Was he trying to hurt her?
"Kagome"
He lowered his mouth to hers and kissed her softly. Around her, the well started to turn blue and she knew this feeling. Time, time was moving under them "Sesshomaru!"
She held tight to him "You cant go back!"
He loosened his hold on her "I know."
"Sesshomaru!" She felt lifted out of his arms "Sesshomaru!"
Her mate began to fad from her sight, and she knew she was the one leaving.
"Sesshomaru!" She reached out for him "I don't want to go back!"
But it was too late; she was gone.
His eyes bleed red, and he made a fist at his side. He jumped from the well and looked at it; he wanted to destroy it.
"Are you worried."
Her mother's voice broke his thoughts.
"Time is fickle," He said "Changing."
She smiled,
"Even I do not know what will become of this"
"You are still here."
"She has not yet touched down" He turned to her "You should not be here."
She bowed "Then I shall leave you my son in law."
Kagome's mother turned to leave him "She will come for you."
"To kill me perhaps."
"She loves you, though I have a feeling you won't be getting off easy."
If it were true, that would be fine with him. He would let her have her way with him, even if it meant burning pain. It could not be any worse than what he was feeling right now.
Kagome softly landed on the bottom of the well.
She cried out in pain; then she screamed his name as loud as she could.
"Sesshomaru!"
It was laced with pain and heartbreak.
Far away two beings froze mid-fight.
"Kagome?" Inuyasha turned. His red clothing was covered in mud and his sword in blood.
He turned "Kagome!" He stated breathly and was ready to bolt to her.
"Do not move half breed."
Inuyasha looked back at Sesshomaru "What, but Kagome?"
"I am well aware that my mate has returned."
"You're, what?"
Sesshomaru's pink eyes met his brothers "Can you not tell."
Inuyasha's eyes widened "What?"
Sesshomaru growled, "She is in labor."
"Labor, what the hell is going on!" Inuyasha screamed, "We haven't seen her in years!"
Inuyasha grabbed his brother "What the fuck have you done."
Sesshomaru closed his eyes and opened them again "It would seem, little brother, I have mated and impregnated the Miko."
"How" Inuyasha growled,
"Your guess is as good as mine, now, release me."
"You're going to her?"
"Why would I not, she is my mate."
"You're just going to accept that?"
"Only I can place my mark upon her and fill her, why would I object to my own doing half breed."
"You don't care about her!"
"Apparently I do."
He did, Inuyasha was not the only one with secrets.
