"Oh god," Kagome breathed out, "oh god!" she continued.
They were currently in Inuyasha's Mazda RX-8 on their way to Inuyasha's parent's mansion; his parents had finally come back from their business trip in America. Kagome was having a panic attack on what to wear, what to say and what to bring.
Flashback (kag P.O.V) (a/n this going to be long…)
I was rummaging through my closet looking for the appropriate attire to meet Inuyasha's parents. Clothes flying out of my closet like dandelions, I knew that I would have to pick them up and hang back.
I sighed 'great more work,' I said to my self.
Considering the weather I decided to wear on a floral summer dress, It was a pale sky blue dress with spaghetti straps and a simple bow patterned with sunflowers wrapped around the waist area. I let my hair fall freely down wavy, and wore my promise ring and my 'K' pendant with my thin silver necklace, I decided not to go overboard with earrings and bracelets because I was going for a simple look.
I wore on my pale sky blue flats and headed down stairs to get the food I prepared to give them; a strawberry fruit tart made with fresh natural cream with pastry cream and fresh hand picked strawberries that me and mama had got when we went strawberry picking yesterday. I used a non sugar strawberry sauce, and coconut cream pie with softened crust not too sugary and real fresh milk cream with chocolate ice cream on the bottom and coconut cream at the top with real grated coconut with a sugar substitute but still sweet enough.
I looked at my work and had to admit, it looked and smelt delicious just the aroma of the freshly made strawberry tart and the coconut mixed with chocolate was getting to me, half tempting me to eat it all by myself.
I put them in a cake container and wrapped them both with a ribbon; that was mostly used to tie balloons and curled it.
' Got to make it look pretty' I said to myself
I put the coconut cream pie in the freezer and strawberry tart in the fridge and headed upstairs to practice my greetings.
"uugh! I don't know know how to greet someone properly! I'm pathetic!"
That's when Inuyasha came in my room, i didnt notice he came in but, her came in at my worst greeting ever,
"Hello Mr. InuTashio, Mrs. Izayoi I'm Kagome your sons girlfriend, Oh? How we met well… you're son made me his slave to obey him like the jerk he is a told me this morning that I was to come over and meet you. Yeah we have been through a lot with this creep named naraku who tried to kill me and his stalking ex Kikyo who tried to kill me and take your sons money and be witch him. I came up with some half assed up plan involving a chipmunk head and woodchuck riddle, it was pretty insane but I was freaking out. Yeah they got put to jail and then some next girl name Miya started claiming him again but that got fixed out and can you believe this all happened in 7 months?" I took a deep breath "I suck at this!" I yelled, she heard snickering behind her and was about to scream until I saw it was her boyfriend.
Inuyasha was dressed in a black and white checkered shirt with the buttons buttoned up to his neck, underneath the collar of the shirt he wore on a silver rosary. He wore on black, slightly baggy shorts and Nike's shoes that were white black and gray, on his finger he had his promise ring.
"Keep laughing lover boy and you'll be single in the next 5 minutes tops" I playfully said warningly, trying my best not to stare.
Inuyasha instantly wrapped his arms around her waist walked to her bad sat down and sat her on his lap; he nuzzled her cheek and her neck where a mate mark should go.
"And who said I'd let you leave me like that koi?" Inuyasha said huskily and of fourse i blushed until I realized a change in his aura. 'Uh-oh'
"Whoa! Rated R!" I said and pushed Inuyasha away from my neck looking at him seriously in the eye, "listen Inuyasha keep those urges in for now, I know its hard because mating season is near but it isn't for another week or two and then we can mate whe we get your parents approval of me okay?" I said looking him straight in his now blue irises that were gold as honey just moments ago.
'Mate. No want mate?' his demon whimpered
"No! Mate loves you! But no mating yet… parents confirm they like mate and wedding after" I said with practiced ease. Myouga had informed me that mating season was near and his behavior would change.I was told not to question his alpha status when mating season was near and agree for anything that wasn't to extreme or just lie and put it off until he returns to normal.
"Alpha. Do not care parents approve or not. I mate with mate after. Pups. Lots of pups from mate." he growled out before changing back to her hanyou with golden amber eyes that was puzzled, I blushed at him saying he wanted lots of kids.
"Damn demon really wants you Kags I don't blame him you're scent is so intoxicating…" he trailed off about to loose control while I rummaged in my purse with subjugation beads that block mating scents and control demon blood. I quickly put them over his head and on his neck and they began to glow pink.
"What are these?" he asked tugging at the bead but they weren't coming off, he then began to play with them eying them suspiciously after every three dark violet bead a white fang-like one was inserted in a pattern.
" The beads of subjugation they are meant to rid me of intoxicating scents that get your demon to mate and also suppresses it so I wont hurt to resist. Courtesy of my grandpa given to me as a congrats on our relationship saying it would come in handy" I explained to him and laughed at his childish pout.
" But I want to smell you!" he whined I giggled.
"Quit whining my puppy and help me put the pie and tart in your cooler in the back of your car" I said whiles tapping his nose, and he growled playfully at me and pecked my lips and headed down stairs.
Flashback end (a/n sorry if it was confusing… normal p.o.v)
"Oh god," Kagome repeated. Inuyasha smiled and grabbed her hand and gave it a slight squeeze he head whipped in his direction.
"Kags seriously stop tripping out," he assured her. "My parents are chill they'll love you" he said with a sexy smile, Kagome smiled back hiding her blush but failing, earning a smirk from Inuyasha.
"What about Kikyo did they accept her?" she said out of curiosity.
"Considering how I was just going out with her they still didn't approve, saying I should keep looking for my mate with the scents and what do 'yah know, here you are in all your glory" he said and kissed her hand at the red light.
"Oh," was all that Kagome could muster out.
Inuyasha sensing her nervousness again slightly squeezed her hand again don't worry Kags, they'll love you I know it." He reassured her again.
"I hope so..." she said as the gates opened revealing Inuyasha's parents mansion as he jumped out and running to her side to open the door and extended his hand which she accepted "thank you, want to help me with the sweets in the trunk?" she asked
"Sure thing babe," he said and swiftly made his way to the back seats and opened the cooler and got the cake trays out handing one to her and throwing the keys to one of the butlers informing him to take the cooler.
They made their way to the door when suddenly it popped open a woman with long black silky hair and the warming chocolate brown eyes and cherry red lips, she seemed to look like she was in her twenties hardly touching thirty. She had on a pink blue and black summer dress and black short heels.
Kagome gasped 'she's so pretty' she thought, Kagome bowed "Hi Mrs. Izayoi " she said giving her most warmest smile.
Izayoi squealed, "she's pretty and so adorable! I so want her to be my new daughter in law like Rin!" Shesshomaru and Rin were there before heading back to their mansion, Izayoi had accepted Rin saying she was way better than Shesshomaru's ex Kagura.
Izayoi continued "And sweetie no need to be so formal, call me auntie Izz or call me mom I don't mind soon you will be my daughter in law"
Kagome couldn't help but blush and her face flushed red even more when Inuyasha wrapped his arm around her waist. "Of course Mother." Inuyasha said with a smirk.
"Oh, honey come here look at our son's girlfriend!" she said and in came InuTashio
Kagome inwardly gasped again.
His hair was pulled into a high pony tail and was white as snow and glistened as he came forward and his eyes were amber honey like Inuyasha and both sides of his cheeks blue ragged stripes, that were identical to Inuyasha's when he became a full demon except Inuyasha's was purple. He looked tough, strong and very masculine and she could tell he was fit for the business world but, his eyes softened and a smile was plastered on his face, which made him look more fatherly. Her wore on a white and gray golf shirt and casual plaid shorts with open toed slippers for men.
Kagome politely bowed to him "Hello Mr. Inutashio I'm Kagome" she said and did her warmest smile again.
InuTashio chuckled "oh dear no need to be so formal call me Uncle tashio or as my mate said Dad" he said and shook her hand and Izayoi hugged her.
Kagome already loved them as her own family, "oh yeah, I brought dessert that I made I hope don't mind?" Kagome said referring to the cake trays on the little table in the foyer.
"Oh my! How sweet of course! My, what a darling" Izayoi said and Kagome once gain blushed.
"well come on lets head to the backyard I'm barbequing!" InuTashio said as his chest puffed out in pride and lead the way.
Inuyasha looked at his mom and whispered in her ear with Kagome to listen "Please tell me you have a fire extinguisher and chefs with back up?" and Izayoi and Kagome giggled.
Once in the really big back yard InuTashio ordered his supplies to make the worlds best burgers chicken and hot dogs he wore an apron imprinted on it "big dog" with a demon dog.
"Son, come help me here" he ordered Inuyasha.
"Coming dad!" he called back and turned to Kagome "go on and haave some girly talk about hot guys and nail polish with my mom I got to go do manly things" both women playfully slapped him laughing as he ran away to the barbeque with his dad.
With Kagome and Izayoi
"Kagome want to help me set the table?" Izayoi asked.
"Of course auntie" Kagome said and blushed.
"awww you are just to cute!" and the two ladies were off to set the table in the elegant white and light green gazebo.
The two became friends quickly and talked laughed and enjoyed each other's company.
They both sat on a hammock a few meters from the men watching the sky.
"Kagome –chan?" Izayoi started, still watching the sky.
"mmm?" Kagome hummed watching the sky as they rocked slowly.
"Do you love Inuyasha?" she asked
"With all my heart" Kagome replied instantly smiling with a light blush. Izayoi took note that unlike Kikyo she helped set the table talked and laughed with her as if she was her real mom and also noticed, that unlike Kikyo who fought her on that question she replied instantly and positive.
'She's the one alright…' Izayoi thought to herself.
"I'm happy he finally found you" Izayoi said and looked at her gently with the eyes of a loving mother.
Before Kagome could ask what she meant.
BOOM! "ACK!"
With Inu and inu papa
Inuyasha and Inutashio were tending to the things on the grill Inutashio in his apron imprinted on it "big dog" with a demon dog and somehow got Inuyasha to wear on his apron but his said "small dog" with a more small adorable dog demon. Oh irony at its best!
"So son you've finally found her huh?" InuTashio asked his son being full demon hearing everything Kagome and Izayoi were talking about.
"Yeah" Inuyasha said, "I Love her a lot dad, I was think about proposing but ill need your help to keep it a secret"
"She's a wonderful girl son-"
BOOM! "ACK!"
Izayoi and Kagome worriedly ran up to the men only to see them both covered in black coal with the grill on fire. Inuyasha looked aggravated and InuTashio looked confused.
"Oh, maybe I shouldn't have put in so much coal and the heat so high" he said scratching the back of his neck
Izayoi, Inuyasha and Kagome sighed and fell down anime style.
The maids and butlers hurriedly put the fire out sent the men in to take a show with new fresh clothing awaiting them.
After all the commotion was dealt with the chefs had barbequed the back up food and set it out as they all ate together as the sun set and the Gazebo's lights illuminated around them creating a warm atmosphere. They all laughed and had a great time.
Kagome and Inuyasha sat next to each other and their parents on the other side.
"I still think my BBQ would've been much better." InuTashio said as he sulked.
"Of course honey" Izayoi lied just for him to stop sulking.
As the Kagome dessert was served everyone was enlightened.
"Wow Kagome –chan! Its so delicious mmmm you have to share this recipe!" Izayoi said
"Of course auntie!" Kagome said surprised herself of how good the strawberry tart and coconut cream pie tasted.
"My dear, you would be the perfect mate to my son that's for sure" InuTashio said and winked at the two.
" So do you guys accept me and Kagome going out, and becoming Mates?"
The two parents looked at each other and did a slight nod at each other and looked at the young couple. They had talk secretively with his wife and they both decided.
"No," the both said
Inuyasha and Kagome gasped and tears started to well up I her eyes, Inuyasha was seething with rage.
"What do yo-" he was cut off as his mother began talking.
"You didn't let us finish," she said and both Inuyasha and Kagome looked at them curiously.
"No for going out that means you could break up, We want you two to get mated and married ASAP and enjoy your lives." They said with a soft smile.
Inuyasha sighed a breath of relief and Kagome looked at them with shimmering eyes due to the tears. " Really?" she asked.
"Sweetie of course you're like a daughter to me!" Izayoi said standing up and they all followed.
They both hugged Inuyasha and Kagome
"Welcome to the family!"

i think im going to re-edit the first few chapters they are most definitly not my best work and really embarassing- ill work on it aftermy 2 week vacation dont worry nothing will change except the grammer and spelling and stuff :)
