Chapter 25: Pirate's breakfast
"It's okay Killian, it's okay!" the tears fell over her cheeks as the knights pulled her up and took her further away from the line.
"I'm sorry, for everything! I'm sorry!" he screamed so she could still hear it "I love you Taylor French Allingswood!"
He said French, he NEVER said French. This was the first time he said her full name.
"I love you too Killian Jones…" She whispered as her tears fell in the snow.
Taylor woke up, sitting straight instantly. Her eyes were big, and her breath was fast. She felt her heart pumping as it was going to explode, "Killian…" she said rushing out of bed. She didn't know how fast she needed to dress up and make herself ready to leave.
The brunette rushed down the stairs in her red skater dress, black heels and her elegant hair curled perfectly. No one was home, Belle worked at the library today and Rumple had some things to take care off in the Pawn Shop. The young lady grabbed her home key, phone and wallet, and dumped it into her little black bag ready to leave this place. She shut the door behind her and took off to the docks.
There she was, standing in front of Killian's ship, not knowing if the woman called Cora would be on board. Shall she? Or shall she not… Her heartbeat didn't get any slower since she rushed out of the warm blankets of her bed. Maybe Killian wasn't even here?
"If I was a pirate in an unknown world… where would I go?" and the thought of rum rushed through her mind, "Granny's!" and she already went off to the main street.
The bells of Granny's rang when the brunette opened up the door, and there he was. Killian sat at one of the tables in the corner of the B&B. She slowly walked up to him, seeing the rum standing in front of him. "You cannot live without, can you?" Taylor giggled.
"Miss Allingswood…" the pirate said.
"May I?" she said pointing to the empty chair in front of the young man.
"Please." He said as she took place on the café chair.
"Maybe it's a bit early for this…" Taylor said, grabbing his rum, "Ruby, can we get two coffees and a double pancake breakfast?" she asked her friend from the B&B as she gave her the glass of rum.
"I thought you were such a tea drinker dear."
"It's turned into iced tea mostly… You'll try it soon I bet. But coffee is good to start your morning with, you'll like it." And she gave him a kind of playful wink.
"Taylor…"
"Please, don't."
"I just want you to know I'm sorry, for everything." He swallowed and looked down at the empty table.
"I said don't. For 28 years I've been stuck in this place not even knowing you were existing. I didn't even know my own father was in this town until a little while ago."
"Sir Maurice… Or?"
"Both of them, Rumple too."
"What happened?" Killian said looking straight into her big green eyes.
"Regina happened… She cursed the whole land to be stuck in this town without knowing who we really were. We couldn't cross the town line either, I always thought it was a myth… something bad would happen if you crossed the town line, but it was real. It is real. I cannot escape out of this town, ever."
"No one can I guess…"
"Well you can, Emma and Henry can too as they haven't been in Storybrooke when the curse started. They can go wherever they want to go but they refuse to. Emma saved us from this horrible curse and Henry's on her side. Sometimes I wish, I could see the world."
"That was your sister's wish too wasn't it?" He asked her as Ruby set the plates and glasses on their table.
"Enjoy lovers." She said walking back to the counter, giving Taylor a wink and a small grin.
"She's alive…"
"I know." Killian took a sip of his coffee, "What's this stuff called again?"
"Coffee… And wait. You knew?!" Taylor raised her voice, almost standing up from the anger which came up in her.
"Taylor… I haven't been the nicest person when I wasn't around you. You know that, but I never really told you in person. And you probably don't even want to know."
"Eat." She said drinking her coffee as her eyes pierced through Killian's.
"Why do you always get angry with me when I try to tell you the truth?" Killian put this fork in the puffy pancakes, trying to figure out if he'd like it or not.
"Well I'm sorry mister Jones, I haven't seen you in a while and I kind of expected a different 'oh my gosh I finally found you' moment."
"Taylor…"
"I know, you moved on. It's been 28 years, who doesn't move on. It's just that I thought I did too, but my memories were fake as crap." And Taylor's bottoms up her coffee as she start on her pancakes, not really hungry anymore though. She just wanted Killian to have them.
"You're dress reminds me of you.. back in the Enchanted Forest. The colour red just fits you."
"I have never seen that dress again. I tried to find it in Rumple's shop. He has this shop with all kinds of stuff from back home. But I never find it anyway."
"Well, let's just say. I missed you seeing in red." He said giving him a wink which made the young lady blush.
"I need to take care of some stuff for Miss Mills… Regina, if you didn't know her surname."
"Wow wait, Regina? I thought she was the bad girl in this whole story?" he asked her.
"She gave me a good start in those 28 years that I've been here, she kind of looked after me. Sort of…. Anyway, I work for her and I wouldn't leave her as she didn't leave me either."
"Well then, I'll finish up these puffy things."
"Pancakes Killian, pancakes."
"I'll see you around Miss. Allingswood."
Taylor stood up, biting her lower lip. What did she need to do? There was no point of giving him a kiss, not even on the cheek. And of course she loved him, more than she could ever imagine. She just didn't know how he would react to her 'teenage girl' actions. So she just got up, dropped the money for both of them at the counter as Killian wouldn't know how to pay anyway, and walked out of the B&B heading towards the major's office.
