Summary: My name is Kagome. Since the end of my adventures down the well, I've been living in what one might say was an 'alternate universe'. And maybe that's true...the world I knew, was no longer. I came up through the well of a family I had never met...and was taken in by them. I became a storyteller...a tutor...and the caregiver of the orphans near the outer wall Maria in the city Shiganshina. Kagome wasn't pleased with the treatment of her brother. Eren wasn't bloodied per say, but the bruise on his cheek made her more than just a bit suspicious of the jailers who had been holding him. "Damn scum!"

Levi looked on at Eren as he recalled the conversation held in the holding cell about two weeks back. Thinking on it, he really had been impressed, but more than that, he wanted to help him for Kagome...this Titan Shifter.

~FLASHBACK~

"Where am I?"

Levi stared at the boy, they had been waiting for nearly thirty minutes to see if the boy would stir, wanting to be the first to speak with him at all cost. These were his first words since waking up, he could see that the boy was nervous and a bit frightened, and who could blame the brat. He was in a dingy, dirty cell, chained to a bed, in clothes he'd not been wearing prior to the fight in Wall Rose...

"I think it's obvious, let's call it a Dungeon for namesake."

Levi blocked out most of what was being said, not caring much for the monologues, he keyed in only on what he deemed important. Erwin lifted the key that Eren was always wearing around his neck. He knew about the key, having seen it plenty of times, but Erwin didn't know that, he didn't need to know that. Levi had to constantly remind himself, that while he had spoken many times with the boy, this was Erwin's first time ever meeting him.

"Let's talk home, specifically the good doctor's cellar back in Shiganshina."

This again, this topic was one he'd been listening to Erwin go on about for a good while.

"Pretty big secret...about the Titans, am I correct?"

Eren frowned, "yeah...I think so. At least, that's what dad said."

Levi frowned, "must suck having both your dad and your memory..." he paused for a moment, thinking his next words carefully through, "MIA at the same time...unless of course that's just a cover story." Levi looked away a bit, closing his eyes, a familiar bloody scene played over in his head. He knew the boy couldn't remember, and he knew his father was dead...still...Erwin was clueless to this, and he wouldn't let him know that he knew this, because it would only put Kagome in more trouble that she was already in.

"Enough," Erwin's firm voice broke though his thoughts and Levi looked back to Eren. "We've been over this already, we know he has no reason to lie...and that's all we know."

Levi didn't let anything show, but he knew Eren knew him, Eren trusted him, and Eren trusted Kagomes judgement...which once again fell on him.

"How about you shed a little light on things by telling us what your intentions are."

Yes, back to the things Levi didn't care to listen to. Why? He had already heard it prior to coming into this crap ass place to begin with. His mood was highly dependent on how clean his environment was...and needless to say, he wasn't happy. Erwin finished talking, but Eren was still quiet. Watching him, he knew he was remembering something dreadful, which much was obvious from the look in his eyes. He'd seen it more than a few times...too many, in fact. "Come on, its an easy question. So answer it." Levi looked straight into Eren's eyes, and his expression softened, his eyes gentle in comparison to his normal cold or expressionless stare. "What the hell is it you want to do?" despite his vocabulary, the question came out softly.

"...I want to become a member of the Scouts, and slaughter every Titan that crosses my path!"

Levi's eyes widened slightly at those strangely psychotic words, a feeling of understanding washing over him, "huh...well played." He walked past Erwin and placed his hands on the bar, despite the filth he could already feel on his hands, "alright then, I'll take responsibility for him, let the higher ups know what's going on." Levi caught Eren's eyes with a tired look saying that he was more than a bit annoyed, "not that I implicitly trust you of course, it's more a matter of me trusting myself to deal with him, kill him if I have to." His eyes never left Eren's, he wanted him to see his eyes, see how serious he was. If he did anything that endangered Kagome or his child...it would be lights out for the boy, whether Kagome liked it or not, she was his main priority. "The bigwigs aren't likely to raise a stake, my record more than speaks for itself; I'm pretty sure. Good news Yeager, you're now officially a member of the Scouts."

Eren was shaking, his eyes took in everything in Levi's eyes and he understood irrefutably the meaning in his words. Should he transform and cause harm to Kagome...yes, Eren knew well...Levi would cut him down.

~END FLASHBACK~

Levi sighed as he shook the memory from his head, listening as Eren screamed.

"None of you have even seen a Titan! So why are you so afraid, huh!?"

Levi watched his eyes narrow, he moved enough to ease his legs of any strain, hating the fact that he had to stand stationary for so damn long.

"There's no sense in having power if you're not going to use it to fight! If you're too scared to fight for your lives, fine! Let me do it! You...YOU'RE ALL COWARDS!"

Kagome looked at Levi who was giving her a look aggravation, she sighed, knowing full well what he planned on doing. She was connected with him, and could feel it inside. His thoughts roamed her head as well as the other way around. Clear as day, the words played with her. 'I'm going to kick the Brats ass!' She turned away so that she wouldn't have to watch.

"JUST SHUT UP! AND PUT ALL YOUR FAITH IN MEEE~!"

Kagome felt the power serge around Eren and couldn't stop herself from looking back in surprise as soldiers readied rifles on the Military Police's side of the courtroom. She felt Hange take her hand and couldn't help but tighten her grip with fear.

Then...a blur to her left caught her eyes, and it happened in an instant. Levi sent Eren's head snapping to the side with a sharp kick to his face, a tooth shooting out of his mouth. Kagome closed her eyes and could only listen to the sound of each kick making contact. She could listen and hear the sounds so clearly, that counting the kicks was an easy task as if she'd been watching it all along.

"You know personally, I think nothing instills discipline like pain. You don't need a good talking to, what you need is to be taught a lesson...and you happen to be in perfect kicking position."

So many kicks, she could hear the grunts of pain, and she knew well from personal experience, that Levi was no joke in a fight. Having sparred the man many times over herself. Finally...silence reigned, and Kagome released a breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding.

"N-now hold on Levi,"

"What?"

"It's dangerous, what if he gets angry, turns into a titan?!"

Levi kicked Eren once more when he glared fiercely up at him, "Don't be silly," he gripped Eren by the hair and pulled him up a bit, "after all, you guys just want to dissect him, don't you? During the time that he was transformed, they say that Yeager was able to kill twenty titans before he finally ran out of strength. As an enemy, his intelligence makes him all the more dangerous. But I can still take him down without a problem...how many of you can say the same?!"

Kagome saw Sesshoumaru raise a brow, as if insulted by the accusation that he couldn't tear down a weakling human boy, with Titan shifting abilities.

"Before you torment the beast, you better think...can you...actually...kill him?"

"Sir, I have a proposition!"

"Proceed,"

Kagome looked to Erwin, wondering what he could have to add.

"There is still too much we don't know, and no doubt his danger will be ever present. As such, I suggest this! Eren Yeager be placed under Captain Levi's supervision! And we will conduct a recon mission outside of the wall."

"Yeager will join in this excursion?"

"Yes sir, and you can look upon the missions results yourself. And if he successfully controls his abilities, Eren Yeager will improve in his value to mankind."

"Eren Yeager will be closely supervised? And if he should...lose control?"

"I can definitely kill him if it comes to that." Levi said confidently.

Kagome stepped forward, "Sir, if you would allow me a few words,"

The judge turned his eyes to Kagome, "carry on,"

"I would like to invoke the help of an instructor for...Eren Yeager."

"Who would you call on to help this boy, and how would this person assist with Yeager if I comply?"

Kagome gave a look to Sesshoumaru.

Sighing, he felt her eyes and pushed off the wall, "This Sesshoumaru can train the insect, this one can teach him to hone his abilities, and teach him to master his control. There are no accidents, only failure, and failure can be beaten out of him."

The judge contemplated this for a moment, then sighed, "Then I have made my choice, Eren Yeager will undergo training with Lord Taisho, under the supervision of Captain Levi, as a new member to the Scouts Regiment!" he slammed the gavel down.

Kagome sighed and turned to Levi, "Captain?" she asked as she walked towards him, watching the soldier unchain Eren.

"Hm...Erwin and I apparently held some disagreements as far as my keeping secrets from him."

"Humph...damn it!" She cursed before letting another sigh breakaway from her lips, "I'm sorry," she apologized.

"You have nothing to apologize for, I made the choice...and it came with consequences. You already knew that I didn't care about my rank. Besides, now I'm stationed back with you, I'm not really complaining."

"I guess that's not so bad,"

Kagome smiled, though it never reached her eyes. Leaning down, she lifted Eren's face to look at her and smiled sadly, "I'm sorry Eren, this was his way of keeping you safe." She said softly, and a small smile caught her off guard as looked her dead in the eyes.

"I know, I'm glad he did what he did,"

"Such a brave soldier! How exciting though, I can finally see what's inside of a Titan, a human Titan at that!" Hange shrieked in excitement, her cheeks flushed with thoughts of dissection running through her head.

"You can have him once the Miko has given the boy a thorough once over."

Kagome turned to see Sesshoumaru walk in with Erwin who had taken him aside to talk to him.

Erwin frowned, "a once over?"

Levi was sitting across from Eren, watching Kagome and Hange coddle the boy-titan. Well, she was coddling, Hange was being...Hange...He closed his eyes as a headache was starting to form.

"Right..." she turned back to Eren, "lay down flat on your back please,"

Eren frowned, but did as told.

Kagome smiled serenely, "if you feel any discomfort...let me know." A soft glow forming around her fingers before covering her hands fully, she focused on her energy so not to cause harm to herself, running her hands about a half inch above Eren's body, tracing the shape of his form as she did. "...three broken ribs, a fracture in his collar bone, a broken tooth...I must say Levi...you leave no stone unturned." She laughed. "Nothing to worry about though, Eren...your tooth is already growing back, and from what I can see..." she hovered over the ribs, pressing down, she listened as Eren yelped out in pain, doing the same five seconds later to the same rib, he winced but the pain wan now minimal, once more ten seconds later she pressed down on the rib, and he felt absolutely nothing. "It seems, Eren...that your healing abilities are top notch. Very...very, impressive."

"Miko?"

"He will be fine, Sesshoumaru, but..."

Sesshoumaru raised a brow.

"..." smiling, she turned and looked to Eren, "he needs at least a nights rest before you destroy his body!"

ME: Here is chapter 25! I love you guys of course, and so, with that said, review and let me know what it is you guys think about this chapter. It runs closer to the episode only because I couldn't bring myself to break away from that particular scene. I love when Levi kicks Eren's ass, not because I think he wants to hurt him, but because I generally believe he wanted to save him. GO LEVI! I did try to incorporate more of Levi's thoughts into this chapter though, hopefully it explains where it is exactly that he stands as far as Eren is concerned and where Kagome is concerned. Ready to kill Eren if anything happens to Kagome as far as him changing into a Titan and trying to attack her. Review, and I'll see you all in the next chapter! You know how this works~!
