Chapter 25: For My Family
After the little bonding time he had with Lucia, Jay decided to do what he could to get the two families on their good side. He needed a little time to make it happen. After leaving the hideout, Jay returned home to find it empty, no one was there. He called for anyone, no answer. Walking upstairs he finds a note on the front door of his room he read it and it said 'Jay my darling, we have everyone important to you, you will meet us at Violets hideout in the desert and you will choose who you'll be with, meet us at sunset, if you don't then it'll be a shame if your family got into a horrible accident.' A red kiss mark was on the edge of the letter. Fire burned in his eyes. He rushed outside and flew as fast as he could. He called each of their phones, no one answered. He then pulled up one phone number, and he called it.
"Hello." Gummy's voice was heard. Thank Glob that she didn't get hurt.
"Gummy! Head to the desert and find a cave in the northwest area, our parents were kidnapped! We gotta save them!" He hung up and flew faster until he saw a small hole that went underground. Diving in he sees three girls standing in front of him, anticipating his arrival.
"Ah Jay, you've came for us." Violet said calmly.
"Where are they?!" He yelled. He wasn't in the mood for a game. She pointed in the direction, they were unconscious and chained up.
"Well now, I think that's my cue to leave these two to you." Emma and Molly started to strike him him in the face, he dodges it and stands on the ceiling of the cave. Molly had jumped from pillar to pillar to and sunk her claws onto Jay's shoulders Jay gave her a clean uppercut she was about to fall to the ground but she landed on her feet. She did a seductive taunt.
"Y'know cats always land on their feet." She slowly moved her new tail and did a claw like taunt on the middle of her chest. Jay now lunged at her only to be shoulder blocked by Emma.
Looking at his ex fiancé he threw a couple of knives at them, but they dodged it right on time. For a short time their eyes were taken away from them. He takes off his shirt and rips it apart.
'If they have animal enhancements, then no doubt that Emma would smell my scent in particular, I need to give her multiple targets, but how can I mask my smell?' Maybe overtime I'll smell like the cave, hopefully it'll be soon, aww man where's Gummy?' The ripped up garments were now being spread around the cave, his prediction came true, but maybe this could be something better, if the garments gave out multiple scents, his own could just mask with it.
Sniffing the air Emma nose detects Jay, but it was like he was everywhere. She sees a shadow and swipes at the figure behind her, which was Jay, who tried to sneak attack her from behind.
Jay had recovered from the strike. Molly jumped up and gave him a flying kick to the face. Jay had took his blades and changed them into sai's. When Emma was about to punch him, he used the sai's to grab her arm, and he tried to take her down but she wasn't budging, his eyes widened. Emma had punched him, slamming him right into a wall.
'Urgh, this is impossible how can I beat them now?!' He thought. Molly pounced at him landing on him, she slashes him in the chest, before she could make the second, Jay punched her right in the face. He jumped to the air, standing on the ceiling once more. Clutching at the wound, Jay healed himself.
He was about to use his powers but was met with a full Nelson by Emma and a knee to the gut. Coughing up blood he falls to the ground. Crawling to the wall near him to use it as a support to get him up, Molly stepped on his hand.
Before anyone could make anyone contact with the boy, a sword that was thrown like a spear made contact with Molly's wrist and three ninja stars were thrown at Emma's back, which exploded.
Looking in the direction where it was thrown, he sees Gummy, who did the attack, accompanying her was Lucia and Myra.
"Sorry we're late Jay, are you alright?" Gummy said. Lending her lover her hand. He gladly accepts it smiling.
"Perfect timing." To which he responds. "I was studying their movements, but they're too fast, they're completely different from before. I was lucky to know you got here."
"What's the game plan Jay?"
"We need to get everyone out of here, I can't let anyone get killed because of me being reckless."
"We'll take care of that." Lucia said, taking Myra with her.
"Wait Myra." Jay said to the older sister. "Why?" He asked.
"I owe you everything for what you've done." She plainly answered.
Jay and Gummy were now fighting alongside together. She had her samurai armor equipped with her sword.
Jay had got her sword and gave it to her. Molly and Emma were now focusing on Gummy this time. They were about to strike her until she spun and gave them a cut on Molly's nose and Emma's forehead. Jay had kicked a couple of boulders at the two.
'This is much easier.' Jay thought having his girlfriend alongside him.
Molly had retracted her claws and ran quickly at Gummy. With her eyes closed and her sword in her hand, Gummy and Molly clashed. A loud clang noise was heard all over the cave. When she placed the sword in her sheath, Molly collapsed to the ground and was slowly dying from blood loss.
"I'm not just your average princess." She said.
Emma looked in shock, but in some unknown motive, she started to run at Gummy and repeat the same thing, until she felt a hand pierce her heart. Jay ran it right through her.
"Hmm you and me should adventure more often." She often wanted to do bad things to the two.
"So I guess after all of this is over, that camping trip would still be on huh?" He joked.
"Yup." She said. It was then their touching little conversation was interrupted by a loud scream.
Running to the sound, they see that Lucia was impaled. Finn had her in his arms and Myra tried to stop the bleeding.
"Like a lamb to the slaughter." Violet said coldly to her daughter.
"What happened?!" Jay screamed.
Violet moderately replied "It was nothing, your father and Lucia had their reunion, he was being quite stubborn at first, but when she mentioned you, he went ballistic. But then after she said her little fantasy about being with him and all the trust you put into her, that seemed to be short lived. I wanted to kill Finn but she effortlessly fought me and lost." She laughed a bit. "She got struck and said her last words, 'I always loved you Finn, right then and right now, I'm sorry for everything, I don't deserve your kindness.' And now it was time that she had to shut up."
"Myra get everyone out of here and help Lucia." She nodded. Everyone went off.
"So it's the boy and his girlfriend fighting me alone, that's quite the stupidity." She took off her cloak, revealing her scaly and snake like appearance.
"You can't run away now, you made a big mistake coming to me."
Jay's tattoo appeared on his shoulder and shards of ice came from the ground. Violet jumped up and so did Gummy she tried to cut Violet with her sword. She blocked it and kicked Gummy to the ground, Jay went and caught her in time.
He threw knives on Violet's arm. Once it hit its target Jay had slashed her on the shoulder. Gummy had slashed her stomach. Violet stepped back and laughed.
"Interesting, but my body is pure perfection and wounds like this..." She healed herself. "... Is nothing to me."
"What now Jay?" Gummy asked.
"I have an idea, but for it to work we gotta get her outside while the sun is still out."
Jay had created a small tornado, using the dust in the air to cover everything. Gummy had thrown her sword like a spear at the scaly woman, but she caught it in time.
"I know all the moves you can throw at me." Jay had appeared from behind. But he was stabbed in the chest with Gummy's sword. "Like that kids little sneaky move." But the Jay she stabbed turned into a big ball of light, it caused Violet to throw away the sword and shield her eyes. The real Jay came from underground grabbed Gummy's sword and was about to deliver a slash to her face.
'Its over.' Gummy and Jay thought. Once the strike landed, it felt as if it didn't hit its target, but it hit something thin. He sees hair on Gummy's sword. He gives her sword back and regroups with her. Both were amazed on how she was able to dodge the attack in such a short time. Jay only cut a small part of her hair.
Snakes appeared from under the ground and wrapped around Gummy and Jay. It was a trap. Violet ran to the two ready to sink her fangs onto one of them, before she could, Gummy broke free and cut the snakes off of them, once Jay was free he creates an earth shield. Once that happens he opened it up and chucked a fireball at her. Her skin was now charred and burned.
But she escaped her skin that was burned. It was like she didn't even get burned.
"Snakes shed their skin, I admit, it's quite rejuvenating for the skin, and for my youth."
Jay mumbled under his breath "If there was any youth in the first place." He joked.
"She's still an old bag." Gummy agreed.
The three ran at one another to clash. Gummy impaled her sword onto Violets chest, but her attack was blocked. Jay used his sai to slash her side of the neck, she healed it and bit Jay on his chest. He turned into stone and Gummy used the opportunity to slash her cheek and Jay appeared from the air and blasted her out of the cave and went outside, following after her, she disappeared. Jay had formulated a plan, it was an all or nothing high stakes plan. The sun was still out.
Violet appeared from the ground and slit the young boys throat. "I told you that you made a mistake coming after me?! You foolish parasite!" Gummy threw her sword at the snake, and after this, the Jay she killed was a fraud, made from the minerals of the earth. And the real Jay came from behind and used his fangs and turned her into a vampire.
She laughed immensely at the boys mistake. "You really are an idiot! You've given me the powers of a vampire, which makes my victory all the more inevitable. I now have their strength."
Jay pointed to the sun, "And their weaknesses too." Violet who had been newly turned was now burning alive.
"What?! You're a vampire! How are you not affected by this?!" She screamed.
"I'm part human, which blocks all of the weaknesses." He concluded. They watched as Violet turned into ashes into the ground.
Time skip:
Gummy and Jay ran to see everyone. Lucia still wasn't moving. Myra was whispering 'don't go' to her dying sister. Jay hurried up to heal her. She didn't become 100% but at least she'll live a little longer.
"Thank you Jay." She said softly.
"No. Thank you, for protecting my father." It seemed as if reconciliation was in order.
Finn ran and hugged her, thanking Glob that she was still alive, even though it was way too quick and sudden that he forgave her but some forgiveness was better than none at all.
Time Skip:
"So Dad." Jay began, you and Lucia are..."
"Yeah I guess, but it'll take some time getting used to." Him and Lucia didn't fall in love, but they knew they could be friends.
"Well I gotta go, I promised Gummy that I'd go camping with her. Anyway how could you forgive Lucia that fast?"
"Well the truth is really messed up but it checks out, Violet said it in the first fight and I know about the encounter that you and Lucia did. And I wanna thank you for giving her a chance to be a mother."
The families had reconciled and set aside their differences and lived peacefully. Even though Finn was married to Marceline, he and Lucia agreed to be just friends. Gummy and Jay had now finally had their relationship going nice and steady without any secrets or drama or any of that, they're still going strong. He's still playing chess with Bubblegum and she had gotten better. Jay still goes on adventures with his father and sings for his mothers albums. He knew he was living the perfect life. He wouldn't want to change anything, nothing at all. They could all let go of the past and look forward to the future. The past was then, the present is now.
