Adoption Of A Neko
Summary: She wanted nothing but a loving family, a mother to hug her, a brother to joke around with, but she knew it was most unlikely, she was an orphan and no one wanted to adopt a Fourteen year old...she better get used to it. But when she does get adopted into a big loving family, she doesn't know how to act. She was no longer Kagome Higurashi, abandoned child, she was now Kagome Kikumaru, little sister of Eiji Kikumaru, and new student at Seigaku middle school.

Chapter Twenty-Five
Humming Kagome smiled as she sat down for a small break. She was doing good on her tennis, she was happy how things were going. She may not be the best at tennis yet, but she was better than when she first started.
She just hoped she was good enough, like she said she would be.
Taking a sip of water, she took her hair down, letting it fall down around her shoulders. it was weird to have her hair up, but she learned the hard way it got in the way during a tennis match.
Sighing Kagome looked down at her hands, she was brought out of her thoughts by someone sitting next to her.
Akaya looked at Kagome, "Do you feel ready for tomarrow?" He knew she was nervous, but she had to overcome it sometime.
"I...think so. I just don't want to embarrass my brother if I lose." Kagome looked down, fiddling with her water bottle that was in her hands.
Titling his head to the side, he narrowed his eyes, "If you loosing embaresses him, he isn't a good brother. Siblings don't care about that type of thing."
Kagome blinked, she wasn't too sure. She was new to the family thing, so she wanted to make Eiji proud.
Akaya sighed before being his hand up to pat Kagome on the head a couple of times, "You'll do fine. You are just worrying." He paused and gave the blue eyed girl a smirk, "...You know all the basics better than some of the people in my tennis club...so you will do fine."
Kagome nodd and smiled, "..Thank You for teaching me."
The boy 'tsked', a small smirk on his lips as he shoved his hands in his pockets, "It is getting dark, we should head home."
Kagome smiled, she knew he was embarrassed at her thank you so she just said nothing, "I'll see you tomorrow!" Then she gave him a wave before he got to say anything.
Akaya smirked as he headed in the opposite direction Kagome went. He knew Kagome was starting to grow on him...he just didn't know if he liked it or not.
