Alright. I know this is, like, ages after the last chapter I uploaded, but after a prompt (that was also asked ages ago omg I'm still so sorry), I wrote an epilogue. So yes, the fic is done. No, you don't have to read this last chapter. Buuut this is the end. Thank you so much for everyone who read this fic and stuck with it to the end. If I'm going to be honest, you can see my evolution as a writer (from "ugh" to "oh, nice") in here. I think I have improved. Quite a bit, too. Alright, enough about me. Enjoy!

For the second time since her creation, Mirage has heard uproar in the gap between the universes, but she guesses that the death of a universe and of another Guardian is enough of an excuse to scare everyone else.

"My children. Please, quiet." God's voice echoed. The silence that followed was so brutal, she thought He muted everyone with His own power.

"I know you all felt it. We have lost a fellow Guardian of Dusk, and therefore a universe full of extraordinary creatures, and amongst them, people. Hundreds of billions of souls that never got the chance to be born, and billions that haven't had the chance to access the Kingdom of Heaven."

God's voice was heartbreaking. Mirage couldn't help but feel sympathy for her father. He considers every single person His child, loves them all, and whenever they badly behave or hurt others, He thinks it's His fault, even though, logically, it should be the Guardians', if not the person's.

Mirage was itching to know by now whose universe got destroyed.

"But Soul didn't have any other option." God continued, and everyone gasped. Of all the Guardians, Soul was the most powerful and the most cunning. He even got a dozen years of head start in his universe to set an example for the rest of the Guardians to follow. If anyone should've run the longest universe, it would have been him.

"A Soulful Leviathan was born. More powerful than any of you. More dangerous than all the demons in all the realms combined. But you can prevent this from happening in your universes. The Leviathan was the child of the king Arthur Pendragon and his wife, Guinevere. I want you to create a fixed point in time, where they never have children."

Good grief. He wanted them to ruin a perfectly happy couple. But He was right. No Soulful Leviathan should ever be born, even at the expense of a couple's happiness.

"Take care, Guardians of Dusk. And never forget your brother's sacrifice."

She was sure that God was crying, by then. The silence left after his announcement really weighted on her.

Suddenly, everyone burst into action. They were all talking. She could hear snippets of conversations. A Guardian was proposing Arthur Pendragon and Guinevere Leodegrance never meet. Another that Guinevere betrayed Arthur with a knight, Lancelot DuLac. Another that Arthur would die prematurely, leaving the throne to Guinevere.

Mirage didn't want to cause them more grief than necessary. She would probably make Arthur and Merlin a couple, and Gwen and Lancelot another, before any relationship happened between Arthur and Gwen, like in Hope's universe. They all seem happy there. Besides, the less there are wars, the better. Everyone thought that she had a soft spot for humans, but really, it wasn't them she really cared about, even though she admired them. She just wanted to cause her Father less grief.

Oh, well. Time for some matchmaking.

The (real) End =)

THANKS FOR READING, FOLKS!
