"Sirius... explain this." She pointed at the Hippogriff who just flew into her house window somehow majestically.
"Well... Um okay where to start. Well, I got through to Hogwarts using the Shrieking Shack obviously, it comes out under the Whomping Willow. Remus... well. He helped me in a way. You see when I got there, I saw him. That traitorous rat bastard was right in the ginger boy's hands-"
"Ron."
"Yes, yes!" said Sirius impatiently, waving his hand furiously at her, dismissing her in a way. "Anyway, they saw me, in my Animagus form, naturally they mistook me for the grim, which is pretty hilarious even if I do say so myself. I had to get the Bloody Rat, didn't I? I ran towards him and my teeth sunk into his leg-"
"Sirius!"
"Let me finish. And then I dragged them both under the Whomping Willow. His leg may have been injured. He clutched the Traitor tightly. I had only then transformed back. Of course he was shocked. Everyone thought I was the murdering traitor. Soon afterwards though, Harry and the girl-"
"Hermione," Cassidy cut in
"-followed in. Harry accused me of course but why wouldn't he? We had a friendly chat."
"Doubt it," Cassidy muttered.
"He was rounding on me with his wand, but I doubted he could do much damage being a third year. Then, Remus, our dear friend, came to save me. He easily disarmed them. He and Hermione. I was so happy to see him. But even I've had my doubts about him before, Cassidy. I didn't know who to trust anymore. But now I know he and I would never. Dear old Snivellus paid a visit to the Shrieking Shack and disarmed me before I got the chance to explain. Harry then disarmed him and it was pretty hilarious, I must say. Then, I explained to Harry of my innocence. Remus and I both did. I proved that Peter was the rat all along. We transformed him back. And there he was. We were really going to kill him, Cassidy. I admit. But Harry he wanted to take Peter back to the castle, to prove my innocence, you know. So Peter had Ron and Remus binded to him. Then-"
"It's a full moon," Cassidy stated simply. "Remus must've transformed."
"Yes, Remus transformed. I unattached Ron but his leg was pretty bad, I must say so myself. Peter transformed into his Animagus form and he got away Cassidy. We failed. But obviously, I had to transform too. Give Remus little sanity for the rest that had gone. I got a little injured, as you can see." He had a few deep cut wounds that Cassidy healed before Sirius' massive story. They were faded scars now. "I don't know what happened then. I think the Dementors got to me. But I was somehow saved. I think it was James. A stag. A patronus. Prongs rides on in Harry. Anyway I was in Professor Flitwick's office. Then, he saved me Cassidy. On THIS Hippogriff. He saved me from a terrible fate Cassidy and I owe him my life for that. By the way, I'm leaving for a while."
"What, why?"
"I guess I have no business being here anymore. Also I'd be far more likely to get caught."
"You weren't thinking of precautions these last few months, were you? What's your change of heart?"
"I don't know, Cassidy. Time to get some fresh air I think. I'll come close by when I'm needed, of course."
"Where you going to stay?"
"In the wilderness. I've wanted to spend time there, after Azkaban..."
"Okay. Will you keep in touch?"
"I will."
"Oh by the way, they may or may not be searching for a stolen Hippogriff."
"I know." He kissed her on the lips for quite a while and hugged each other tightly. He then flew on into the night. Cassidy repaired the broken window and was exhausted after the long discussion.

"Cassidy?"
"Yes, Professor?"
"You deserve an explanation."
"I've heard Sirius's."
"I thought you would've. But you need to understand how this was possible. Ask yourself, how could students be in the Hospital wing and be elsewhere at the same time?"
"Are you suggesting they used a time turner in order to save Sirius?"
"Yes."
"Where did they get it from?"
"Well, at the start of term, Miss Granger was adventurous in her options. She picked everything even though there was no time to do them all. I have since been notified she's dropping a few subjects, as the work was overwhelming, naturally. She has handed in her time turner, no longer needing use for it."
"So when they were saving Sirius, they were in two places at once?"
"That is correct," replied Dumbledore.
"I'm surprised no one saw them."
"I'm as surprised as you are, Cassidy. Also, Remus has decided to resign his post of Defense Against the Dark Arts, due to Severus 'accidentally' letting slip that he was indeed a Werewolf. Would you be interested?"
"Definitely not," said Cassidy firmly. "As long as the curse resides, I have no business here."
"I was afraid you would say that. Oh well. Back to the advertisements in the Daily Prophet, I suppose."
"Like every year."
"Like every year," Dumbledore agreed.
"Is there anything else I should know about, Professor?"
"It's not really anything to do with you particularly, but it's still important all the same. Strangely, Voldemort hasn't been interfering this year. It's been more focused on his servant."
"Peter Pettigrew."
"Indeed, but we only knew that recently. I daren't say that he went looking for Voldemort in seek of protection. Only to find him out of cowardice. You also denied seeing Sirius earlier. Why?"
"I thought it was obvious, Professor. He's a hunted man. I knew he was innocent and I just couldn't let you take him. It would've been out of my dignity, I admit."
"You could've told me sooner."
"I had no proof. Who would believe me, anyway? I'm his wife. I'm most likely to be disbelieved."
"Sometimes, it's right to speak the truth. Even though others don't believe it, you should always speak it."
"What if it wasn't the truth? What if I didn't know what I was on about? Surely they'd be on about how I was confunded or was under the Imperius Curse."
"That," said Dumbledore, "I cannot help."
"That's right. No one can."

Patience. My time shall come soon. Although, Wormtail is not who I would've hoped to find me, it's better than nothing. I shall be back, stronger and stronger than before.
