SO! Thank you your support! We're finally at the Buu Saga of the Canon Series! I'm going to stick to the timeline, mostly. I'm going to stray from it a little, but I'm sure you'll be okay with it. Rate, or comment! Any little note makes my day 1000% better, and makes me want to put up a new chapter faster!

Also, this is minor, but this is going to be the second half of the series for me, so this is The Serenade of The Last Saiyan Book II, chapter 1. Thank you for reading!

Like a gun from a bullet, Calina felt an immeasurable amount of energy backlash against her, as her chi level sunk, and she felt her eye sight fade out.

" CALINA! "

Calina listened to the familiar voice, and soon after her name was called, the young Saiyan screamed violently, before going quiet.

Calina's senses went into overdrive, as her veins pumped with more and more adrenaline, as the thought of Turnig in danger pushed her over her pain threshold.

Calina listened to Turnig scream again, however, this time she began to regain her eyesight. As her vision became more and more clear, her other senses began to take in the sights, smells, and sounds around her.

Calina's dazzling blue eyes were nearly squinted shut, as she shielded her eyes from the intense sunlight. Within moments of her eyes opening, they adjusted to the light, and she was able to take in her surroundings.

Turnig was out in the ocean, playing in the water and screaming squeals of joy as she bobbed from the surface and under the water.

" GAHH, It's so salty! "

Calina involuntarily chuckled, and realized this was probably the first time that Turning has had the chance to be a kid.

" THIS PLANET, Calina! "

Turnig was nearly out of breath from bobbing up and out of the water, letting her body float with the waves, and excitedly swim against them as they tried to breach the sand.

" It's the ocean.. It's a large body of water.."

Calina dropped her hand, still speaking to Turnig, who wasn't paying much attention to what she was saying.

" We're off course, by at least 200 miles.."

Calina relaxed her body down onto the white, cool sand beneath her, sprawling out and letting out a deep, engrossed sigh.

She was finally home.

" Blue skies, blue water! Calina, I never want to leave this place, you never told me how many resources this planet had! "

Turnig sat in the shallows of the beach, letting the smaller waves crash against her back, she pushed her feet into the sand to hide them.

" It's very beautiful.."

Calina spoke aloud to herself, looking behind her and off into the horizon. The ends of her hair were wet from the sand she was sitting in, and her damp legs and feet were covered with white sand granules.

" Don't raise your power level, I'm not ready for anyone to know we're here. "

Calina shot a stern look at Turnig, but in return she got a loud sigh and a scowl.

Calina's skin had paled since being away from the sun for so long, and it's warm, comforting rays of light were like getting a new body. She could feel her soul begin to settle, as the warm, salty air of the sea touched her face, and ran through her scalp and hair.

" I'm excited to meet more of us.."

Turnig flashed an excited grin at Calina, and she couldn't help but smile back.

" You'll see.."

Calina spoke mildly to the seven, no.. Nearly eight year old Saiyan.

Turnig's complexion was naturally darker than Calina's, and in the warm rays of the sun, Calina thought she looked like some sort of celestial being or goddess. She had never seen her so care free and happy.

" So, you have a plan? "

Turnig finally pushed herself up and out of the water, her walk towards Calina was clumsy and irregular as the wet sand gave into her weight.

" Something like that.." Calina paused before brushing herself off and standing to her feet. " I have some things I need to grab first.."

Turnig's grin reached from ear to ear, as Calina held out her hand.

" Only flying, no power ups.."

Turnig reached out to grab her hand before the two of them took off into the sky.

The trip only took an hour, but Calina had taken her time trying to find out where everyone was on the planet, and to her surprise, everyone she remembered, at least their power levels, were all in one spot.

Their stop was nostalgic, and Calina had made sure to detect if anyone was home before stopping in.

" Where are we, why did we stop here? "

Calina wasn't quick to answer all of her questions, she was too engrossed with where she was.

The old, abandoned home that Gohan and her had found and cleaned up was still standing. It looked like it had seen better days, but it was still here, as if nothing had changed.

Calina motioned for Turnig to follow her, as she opened the front door and entered the home.

Calina nearly fell backwards as she felt a cool wave of air push past her. She could immediately feel her eyes begin to water as her heart fluttered in her chest.

The whole house smelled like him.

Gohan hadn't been here recently, but he'd been here long enough to leave his scent all over their old house, and Calina didn't dare move.

" Does your mate live here? "

Turnig walked in past the paralyzed Calina, sniffing the air and picking up random objects.

" Smells like a Saiyan.. w-w-whhaat!? "

Turnig lunged forwards and picked up a dusted over frame, behind the damaged glass was a photo of Calina and everyone from the night before the cell games.

" This is you.. wow, your hair is so short…"

Turnig's grin transformed into a full blown smile as she delicately pulled the photo from its ancient ruins.

" You, and? " Turnig questioned Calina in an intrigued tone, she held the photo up to her and waited for a response.

Calina cleared her throat and regained her composure, before pulling the photo from Turnig's hand and looking at it for herself.

" Wow…"

The girl in the photo was so far from where she was now, she was a completely different person.

" This was before one of the big fights we had, one for the protection of the planet.. It was against a being called Cell, do you remember? "

Calina had told her the shortened version of The Cell Games only a few times, but Turnig had remembered. She peered down at the photo and pointed a finger to each of the people in the photo, and Calina explained who each person was and their significance.

" Do, you think they missed you? "

Turnig's question wasn't meant to be rude or upsetting, but it bothered Calina down to her core.

" I don't know.. " She spoke before pausing, still looking at Gohan in the photo. " But I hope so.."

Turnig was done with the photo, while Calina wanted to dwindle on it a little longer.

" I'm going to explore! " Turnig spoke, walking away from Calina and throwing up a free arm. Calina put down the photo a few moments later, and then joined her.

" Let's see.."

Calina crouched down and paused as she began to think to herself. With one movement, she tucked her hair behind her ears and flicked a switch from under a table.

Within seconds of the switch being flicked over, a radio on top of the table began to speak in a slow, slurred tone, before getting enough electricity to work properly.

" And we're live! Here at the Fifth World Martial Arts Competition! Contestants have just two hours until we close our rosters and prepare to begin the tournament! "

Calina rested her hands against the wood table, and as she listened, she rested her chin against her hands.

" First prize is 100,00 yen, and this year we've opened a junior division tournament, where the winner gets 10,000 yen, and the chance to meet the World Martial Arts Champion, and savior of Earth, Mr. Satan! "

" Is that where everyone is? "

Turnig peered over Calina's shoulder, startling her.

" Y-yah, yes.. I think so. "

" You win what? Food? "

Turnig spoke, looking at the radio and then back to Calina.

" No, you win money.. It's the item exchanged on this planet for goods. "

" So if I kill everyone, I can win it, and barter food for it? "

Calina opened her mouth to correct Turnig, but she basically had it right.

" No killing, you beat your opponent until they forfeit or are knocked unconscious. "

She stood up abruptly, and stretched her long legs and arms the moment her posture straightened, and walked into the other room.

She went through some of her old things, that were being kept in an old box, that she had found. Inside the box was a small pouch with money inside.

" Did you want to go eat? "

Turnig dropped the books she was holding and excitedly rushed forwards.

" First I want to change.."

Calina grabbed playfully at the torn, damaged cloths she was wearing and then at Turnig.

" You're about the same size I was when I was your age, I'm sure there is something here for you.."

The World Martial Arts Tournament would bring everyone together, and Calina wanted to see everyone, without being spotted.

None of it made sense, but she had an uneasy feeling in her stomach, like everyone was going to be so upset that she came back. So until the feeling subsided, she'd keep her distance and look from afar.

Turnig had on a white short sleeved T with a bright blue Capsule Corp logo on the back. Calina insisted she wear a grey, zip up sweat shirt to hide the logo, the last thing she needed was someone asking them questions. She found some clean underwear and some black spandex she used to wear, that went down to the mid rise of her calves.

" Here.."

Calina tossed a pair of older, worn pink tennis shoes at her to put on..

" This attire is strange. "

" You're going to blend in with everyone.. If we dressed traditionally, we'd be noticed. "

Turnig didn't complain, she put on the shoes and got up to examine herself in a mirror.

Calina had found a long sleeved, black shirt that smelled like Gohan. She put it on and was surprised it fit her fine. The rest of her attire was from the small bag she had brought with her. She had some low ankle boots that she frequently spared in, and a pair of cream colored shorts that were loose fitted as well, and reached down to her mid thigh.

Calina joined Turnig in looking at herself in the mirror.

The young Saiyan barely reached her midsection, and at the moment, was fussing with her hair.

" Did you want me to put it up? "

Calina looked down to Turnig, carefully bringing up her hands and trying to run her fingers through her thick, black, curly hair.

Turnig nodded and flashed a small smile at Calina.

The salt water had left her hair a little tangled, but she'd be fine. Calina ran her fingers through her soft, course hair, and eventually ended with a small bun on top of her head.

" You're going to have to decide to power up, or stay normal.. No transforming while we're there. They can spot a Saiyan a mile away, so you can pick one.. and. "

Calina paused before finishing, she knew the child wasn't going to like this next part.

" You need to get rid of your tail "

"WHAT!"

Turnig turned abruptly and angrily, protesting the suggestion Calina was implying.

" Your tail is the first give away.. You know how to grow it back. "

Turnig was very respectful of all of Calina's wishes, but this one had proved too much for her.

" NO WAY, ABSOLUTELY NOT CALINA! "

Turnig's anger had shifted the house, as her power briefly shot up and as she protested.

" NOW! " Calina took a single step towards Turnig, and the Saiyan hesitantly dropped down her power level.

Turnig's shoulders slouched as she let her head rest against her chest.

" It'll be over in a few minutes.."

In Saiyan culture, the tail was a sacred appendage, sometimes more important than arms or legs. The tail allowed you to transform into your beast Oozaru form.

Calina had had her tail removed numerous times, almost always by her opponent. She'd learned how to cope with the paralyzing pain it caused, and knew how to grow it back. Turnig knew this as well, and although growing the tail back was quite easy, removing it was a different thing entirely.

She tried not to scream, but a small shriek shot from her lungs, as she tried not to fall to the floor in pain. Calina removed her own tail not long after.

The bleeding could be stopped almost immediately with a quick, small burst of chi energy, cauterizing the wound.

Calina healed herself before asking Turnig again if she wanted to remain how she was now, or transform.

" I'm fine like this, I don't think I'm going to have any problems. " Turnig's confident tone made Calina grin, and for a few moments she remembered Trunks.

He should be around the same age as her.

Calina decided to transform, not wanting to take the chance of them seeing her blue eyes or black hair.

With a quick and sudden burst of energy, Calina's body transformed to her super Saiyan state.

" Aren't you going to draw attention? I mean.. your power level is easily now.. " Turnig paused, as her face zoned out for a moment as she read the power levels of the other being on the planet. " .. yeah its one of the strongest on the planet.."

" There are hundreds of people who are going to participate, I'm not that worried.. I'm going to mask it.." Calina's stern features softened as her unruly Jet-black hair lifted to a silky smooth, golden complexion. Calina leaned forwards and put her hair up into a tight bun.

" We look.. Human. "

Calina spoke, proudly looking at both her and Turnig.

" Yeah, what ever that means.." Turnig shot at Calina before they both took off to the sky

There weren't hundreds of people participating; there were thousands.

Calina arrived in North City to see crowds larger than she'd ever seen. Normally, her five ft eight body would tower over most humans, but with so many strong, and tall opponents, she looked like a pea.

" Food.." Turnig was at her side, pulling at her shirt.

The child was unfazed by the crowds or new landscapes, the only thing she had on her mind was eating something.

" Fifteen more minutes left to enter, before we close registration! " A small man with a microphone spoke, walking through the crowds of fighters.

Calina was quick, she bought both of them some sandwiches and drinks before rushing through the crowds of bulked up men and beasts.

Turnig's food was gone in under a minute, but the Saiyans hunger would only be temporarily sedated.

The Registration line was short, thankfully. And Calina rushed up, just in time.

" Hello, can I please have your name? "

" Cal-…. Lee…My name is Lee, and this is Tee.."

Calina cleared her throat awkwardly, her eyes shifting from the attendant for a moment. She had completely forgotten she had to give a name.

" My names Turnig. "

Turnig spoke proudly, and the announcer asked for their ages.

" Well, this young lady isn't quite old enough for the adult division, but she does qualify for the Junior division. "

" Is there money? Food? "

Turnig's tone was fast and she was coming off as rude.

Calina calmly, and sternly grabbed her shoulder and squeezed until the child stopped talking.

" Yes little lady, 10,000 yen and a free ticket to the buffet.. Plus, best of all, you get to meet Hercule Satan! "

" Like I care about who that is. "

Calina tightly gripped her shoulder again and the child held back a scream.

" Sound great. " Turnig's voice was weak, and after she was done speaking, she shot an ugly glare at Calina.

" Well, Ms. Lee. Normally, we have a machine that we use to gauge whether you'd make it pass the registration round, but a gentleman broke it just a few minutes ago.. So luckily that means you're in! "

" Wonderful. "

Calina released her grip from Turnig's shoulder and the child nearly fell to the ground from relief.

" Here are your numbers.. And you'll be randomly put against an opponent, so when your number is called, make sure you go to the ring.. " The man sorted through some cards before giving both Calina and Turnig a card. " And the Junior division goes first, after that the regular tournament starts. Have a great time ladies! "

The announcer hurried them off and quickly shut down the Registration Booth. Calina and Turnig had enough time to push through everyone in time for the Junior division to begin.

The crowd's cheers and screams shook through the arena and echoed off the stone walks ways of the plaza. Calina was still trying to make her way to the inside of the arena when she was slammed into and nearly knocked over.

A wave of debilitating fear washed over her, as her senses went into overdrive and she caught her balance.

" Excuse me! "

A mans voice shot at her, as he was pulled through the crowd and away from her.

It was him, she had finally found him.

Gohan had changed so much, she wasn't sure if she would have recognized him otherwise. He stood a little taller than her, and had short, dark hair.

The moment is scent hit her she knew who it was.

Turnig continued to pull her through the crowd in the opposite direction, refusing to be late to a chance to win food, and Gohan was being pulled by some human woman, one that had black hair and bright blue eyes.

While Calina couldn't look away, clumsily stumbling through the crowd of people, she could swear she saw him take another look back at her.
