Hello, here's a little something for you guys. I think you can guess what happens by the first sentence and I don't want to spoil it but here's a tissue box just in case. (I've left the story open in case I decided to add some pieces.)
The soft beep of the machine filled the quiet room. Anna couldn't help but to stare at the beautiful girl. Even after her hair had fallen out she was still beautiful. It had been three months since the tumor came back, and it hit Elsa hard. The doctors said she was lucky to be alive but Anna knew it was more then luck. Elsa was a fighter, she always had been, and always will be. And despite the doctors warnings Anna believed her wife would pull through. That she would fight it once more.
But even with their 'cure' Elsa was still struggling to hold on. They'd saved a lot of lives turning over the formula however, and that had brought a smile to the couples faces. But that was before Elsa was forced to stay in bed, and Anna had taken the seat next to her. She had given up school and work to spend more time with Elsa. Time was drawing to a close it seemed. Anna didn't know what she would do next. Her life was just starting and yet it seemed to be ending all at the same time.
"Anna?" A soft voice called out to the empty room.
"Yes I'm here." Anna sat forward taking the girls weak hand.
"I'm sorry.. I'm sorry you have to see me like this." Elsa's voice was barely a whisper.
"No. Don't say that. I'm here with you no matter what. For better or for worse, right?" Anna could feel herself fighting back tears. "Besides we both know you're gunna bounce back, you always do."
"Anna….my beautiful Anna. My fiery redhead. I love you so much." A tear rolled down the girls pale face.
Anna gripped the girls hand just a bit tighter. She knew what was coming. "I love you too." The redhead stood up to kiss the girl she fell in love with.
As their lips parted Elsa whispered, "tell me a story."
Anna choked down her tears and smiled. "Once upon a time there were two young girls how had fallen in love. And despite what people said they couldn't be separated. They made each other smile and laugh and cry. But they loved each other so much. And they had been through so much," Anna could hear the monitor's beeping begin to slow, "they fought enemies and saved lives. They did crazy things that should only happen in stories and yet their love grew. And my love for you will grow forever. You will be forever in my heart my love." And then it was over. The beeping was no more, and there were doctors all around her, moving and yelling and all she could do was sit. And cry.
'This isn't the end,' Anna thought to herself.
