Akito's POV
(The Next Day...)
I held onto Mom's hand the minute we left the mansion, my giddiness revealing itself.
"I can't wait to spend the whole day with you and Dad," I chirped happily.
"This is going to be so much fun," she smiled.
Instead of taking a limo today, the adults settled on taking cars instead. Dad's red Lamborghini Aventador waited for us in the front. He was making sure it was clean both inside and out.
"You're looking quite exquisite today," he complimented towards his reflection.
"Brick, stop flirting with yourself and let's go," Mom said.
"Don't worry, you look like my car. Perfect," Dad winked.
"Why's Dad flirting with a car?" I asked.
"He has issues," she whispered into my ear.
"What're you two whispering about?" Dad questioned.
"Nothing," Mom and I answered at once.
He gave us a skeptical look and nodded, getting into his car and turning the ignition on. Obviously, Mom sat in the passenger seat while I sat in back.
"Ready for a family day out?" Mom grinned, looking at the rearview mirror and noticing my excited face.
"Yeah! Let's go!"
Dad smirked and drove out to meet the other families. He, Uncle Boomer, and Uncle Butch gave Uncle Buddy a purple Pagani Huayra. Not to borrow. Not to lend. To keep. Even the moms were awed when they watched Dad hand him the keys, saying to keep it.
"How're you liking your new car?" Uncle Butch called from his green Dodge Viper.
"You have no idea!" Uncle Buddy called back, a big grin plastered on his face.
"Take care of it, bro!" Uncle Boomer advised from his blue Corvette Stingray.
"Alright, here's what's going to happen! We're going to our own destinations! No crime, Butch, no killing, Butch, no doing anything illegal, BUTCH," Dad ruled out, glaring at my green-eyed uncle, who seemed to be annoyed.
"Shut up and let's get a move on! The sumo match is going to start soon!" he barked.
Dad nodded in agreement, but still gave him a glare. "Okay, that seems to be it. Let's go!"
Everyone erupted in cheers as the dads stepped on the gas pedal, zooming their vehicles away from the mansion.
"This is going to be a great day," I chirped gleefully.
"You've got that right," Dad smiled. "Just you, your mother, and me. And best of all, no morons."
"How far is Smash Hits?" I quizzed.
"Not that far. It's the traffic that's going to be the end of me, though," Dad complained.
"Stop griping. Let's just turn on the radio," Mom suggested, changing the station and turning up the volume.
I Am Free by Newsboys played. We sang in different tones all the way to Smash Hits. Dad parked in the wide parking lot, a smile never leaving his face. Mom stepped out and waited for me as my dad locked the doors. They took me into the building and looked around. A girl sang 'I Love You Like A Love Song' by Selena Gomez, or so says the title on the huge karaoke screen above her head.
"Mom, Dad, I want to sing a song!" I said, pulling their hands towards the DJ.
"You can, but I won't," Dad stated.
"Oh, come on, Brick! I want to hear you sing!" Mom protested.
"No way," he resented, looking away with his chin held high.
"Fine, but I'm going to sing with him," she informed, walking next to me.
"I'm going to go get us a table," he said, walking off and immediately being escorted to the best table, which was in the front.
"Sup? I'm DJ Akyotoma, but call me Yoto; I'll be your DJ for today, so go ahead and pick a song," a man behind the stereos said, showing us a packet.
"Okay Akito, what do you want to sing?" Mom asked.
"I don't know any of these songs," I admitted.
"How about 'I'm Moving On' by Rascal Flatts?" the DJ suggested after noticing our lack of choosing.
"It sounds cool! Can we sing it, Mom?" I grinned.
"Are you sure? It has some things a boy your age wouldn't usually say," she hesitated.
"Pleeeeeeeaaaaaaase?" I begged, giving her my best puppy dog face.
She groaned, trying to look away. I think she noticed it was pretty obvious that I wasn't going to want to sing any other song, so she sighed in defeat.
"Alright, alright. Let's get on stage."
I cheered and instantly ran for it. Mom followed begrudgingly, mumbling something about how she wished we could sing something like 'Let It Go'.
"What's up everybody? This is DJ Yoto and I've got myself some singers for today! May I present to you: Momoko Jojo and her little munchkin! Can we get a name?" the DJ asked, throwing two microphones over to Mom and me.
I beamed and spoke into the mic. "The name's Akito Flame Jojo."
Everyone stopped and stared, murmurs growing.
"Jojo? Is he Brick's son?"
"They must've been anxious on having kids."
"I'm totally going to take a picture and posting it on Facebook!"
Mom glared at the crowd. They took a hint and kept doing what they were doing, though a lot of them were now paying attention to the stage.
"Alright-y then! Here's your song, coming in 3...2...1!"
The music went through my ears and into my past. It was so slow and melancholy.
[Me:]
I've dealt with my ghosts and I've faced all my demons
Finally content with a past I regret
I've found you find strength in your moments of weakness
For once I'm at peace with myself
I've been burdened with blame, trapped in the past for too long
I'm movin' on
[Mom:]
I've lived in this place and I know all the faces
Each one is different but they're always the same
They mean me no harm but it's time that I face it
They'll never allow me to change
But I never dreamed home would end up where I don't belong
I'm movin' on
[Me:]
I'm movin' on
At last I can see life has been patiently waiting for me
And I know there's no guarantees, but I'm not alone
There comes a time in everyone's life
When all you can see are the years passing by
And I have made up my mind that those days are gone
[Mom:]
I sold what I could and packed what I couldn't
Stopped to fill up on my way out of town
I've loved like I should but lived like I shouldn't
I had to lose everything to find out
Maybe forgiveness will find me somewhere down this road
I'm movin' on
[Both:]
I'm movin' on
I'm movin' on
Everyone clapped. Some girls around my age were wiping some tears from their eyes and giving me these weird, goofy love faces. Some guys wiped some tears from their eyes, too...
Creepy.
We bowed and walked off stage to go sit down with Dad. He pecked Mom's lips and ruffled my hair.
"Not bad," he said with a smile. "Not bad."
Katashi's POV
Dad parked his car in the parking lot and escorted Mom and me into the building. He placed me on his shoulders, staying close to Mom.
"Sumo match! Sumo match! Sumo match!" I chanted, raising a fist in excitement.
"We got the best seats in the house," Dad smirked, looking up at me.
"Front row?" Mom questioned with a knowing look.
"Front row," Dad confirmed.
It wasn't long until we reached our seats. Dad placed me in the middle of him and Mom. A man walked in the flat ring as a microphone lowered itself down.
"Ladies and gentleman! Today is the 100th annual showdown here at Ryogoku Kokugikan! And to celebrate this special day, we will choose two different people to come in as a tag team for the wrestlers! Check under your seats after I say these numbers!"
Everyone started murmuring in excitement. Mom and Dad looked at me.
"Who knows, champ? Maybe you got the number," Dad said, smiling.
"I hope so!" I grinned.
"Shhh! They're about to say the numbers!" Mom shushed.
The man started to speak again. "Okay! Here are the lucky numbers: 2 and 58! Seats number 2 and 58, please come to the ring!"
I checked my seat and frowned. It had the number 5. My attention went back to the man in the middle of the ring. Someone came with a clipboard and whispered into his ear, pointing at something on a piece of paper. The announcing man chuckled nervously before speaking into the mic again.
"Oops! I got one of the numbers wrong! I'm sorry number 2, but please remain in your seat. Number 5, please step up!"
My face lit up in excitement as I got up. Mom and Dad cheered me on.
"Go get them, son!" Dad yelled.
"Beat 'em into a pulp!" Mom called.
I smiled at them and waved as the other person walked up. It was a girl.
A tough-looking girl that seemed to be around my age.
"What's up?" I questioned, placing my hand out.
"The name's Gina, what's yours?" she questioned, taking my hand and shaking it.
"Takashi. May the best one win."
"I intend to."
We parted to our own ways. Don't think I find her cute. One of her teeth were colored black- like, pitch black- and her hair was everywhere. Plus, even if we barely exchanged a couple of sentences, I could already tell she was one of those ego maniacs. The mic man led me to my main sumo wrestler. He looked like a wimp to me, no offense. His body was scrawny, and his legs were as thin as a chicken's.
"Hey, my name's Takashi," I greeted.
"Skin Disintegrator," he replied curtly.
"Are you really a sumo wrestler?" I asked bluntly.
"Yes, I am. You don't necessarily need to be fat to be one."
"Have you ever won a match?"
"Just one, but I plan on winning some more."
"And when did you plan on doing that?"
"That is none of your concern, so just wait as they introduce us, capeesh?"
"Um, okay?"
"Alright, ladies and gentleman. The match is about to start. Let me introduce you to Skin Disintegrator and his companion..." the man put the mic in front of me, indicating to finish the sentence.
"Takashi Jojo!" I exclaimed cockily, giving the crowd a peace sign.
Most of the ring fell silent, only to erupt into whispers. Even if I had super hearing, it was hard to make out a single thing since there was too many people gossiping at once.
"Jojo?...too early...married?...should've stayed abstinent..."
My smile faded into a confused frown. The mic man got irritated and continued.
"And here are the opponents: Bone Snapper and..." he held the mic out to her, indicating to finish his sentence.
"Gina Rijame!"
"Okay! SD and BS, please come to the center of the ring and shake hands."
They did so.
"Now that that's done with, leeeeeet's RUMBLE!"
The crowd stopped murmuring and erupted in cheers, most of them rooting for Bone Snapper and Gina. Skin Disintegrator suddenly looked scared at the sight of his HUGE enemy. On the other hand, BS smirked. Someone rung a bell twice, notifying for the sumo wrestlers to get ready. They stomped twice and BS went in for the kill. He took SD by the shoulders and threw him to one side of the ring. I simply laid back and watched, fully entertained. SD ran towards BS, only to meet his pudgy fist. He then tried punching his enemy's stomach, but his fist got sucked in. The big wrestler chuckled evilly, throwing SD over to me. It wasn't even two minutes and he already decided to tag me.
"You go in, kid!" he said, pushing me near the big guy.
The crowd booed at him and started chanting my name instead. Especially a bunch of girls around my age. I think some of them had hearts in their eyes... O..kay? I looked up at my opponent's fat face and smiled as if I were innocent. He cooed at me.
"Aaaw! Isn't the little boy cut-"
I punched him in the gut, making all of his jelly rolls ripple.
"OOMF!"
He was sent to the other side of the ring. I simply walked over him with a look of pure, dreaded evil. My face was only an inch from his.
"Who're you calling cute?"
From the corner of my eye, I noticed my parents' proud look.
Jen's POV
Dad parked his ultra, mega, rad, cool car in the parking lot. Mom and I got off with him, walking into the crowded street. Some girls around my age giggled, waving and blushing at me. My eyes rolled.
"Aw, looks like you've got some admirers, son," Dad smirked teasingly.
"Bleh," I said in disgust, sticking my tongue out.
Music filled the street. I groaned with every other guy (including Dad) when 'That Power' by Justin Unbelievable Bieber and Will. I. Am came on. As for the girls (including Mom), they squealed in delight.
"I love this song!" Mom grinned.
"If you truly love me, you won't sing along," Dad said gravely, taking her by the upper arms.
She smirked evilly and started singing the first couple of verses, pecking his cheek after.
"Sorry, I couldn't help but sing along to that sexy, deep voice."
Dad scowled. "Oh please, Justin Bieber sounds like a high chipmunk living on helium."
I smiled at my parents' bickering. It felt like everything was back to normal. Something caught my eye.
"Mom! Dad! Look! A crêpe stand!" I shouted in excitement, pointing at it.
They stopped their debate on Justin Bieber's voice and looked over at me.
"Can we get one? Please, please, please?" I begged, tugging at Dad's sleeve.
"Weeeell," Dad droned out, giving me a playful glare. "I don't know, Jen. You know how you get when you get sweets."
"Not like Akito! When we were in the hospital, they were giving out free ice cream and he wouldn't stop asking everyone for some! Including Chocolate Mountain Monday, Triple Tutty-Fruity Tuesday, Wonderful Willy Wonka Wednesday, and I really hope you guys are getting my point here because I forgot the rest of the names," I listed shortly.
Mom laughed. "He gets that from Momoko! Definitely her!"
"He gets that from Brick, too," Dad added with a chuckle.
"Mo-om! Da-ad! What about the crêpe stand?" I reminded, already dragging them towards the stand by their hands.
"Oh yeah. Which one do you want, sport?" Dad questioned, checking out the wide variety.
"Chocolate!" I chirped.
"You want to share one?" Dad asked towards Mom.
She nodded. "Let's get the same thing."
Dad turned to the cashier guy. "Two chocolate crêpes, please."
The man nodded, picking out some fresh ones. Dad passed him a $10 bill and received some change. He passed me my snack and took a bite out of his, offering some to Mom.
"Mmmm," I hummed joyously after taking a bite out of the delicious piece of Heaven.
My parents walked on each side of me, looking at different stores.
"Oooh! Look, Emiko! There's some nice cosplay outfits over there! Would you like to model one for me?" Dad asked slyly, pointing at the Mortal Kombat costumes.
"Mom, what's cosplay?" I questioned when her cheeks turned pink.
"I am not going to do any of that cosplay. Oh, and don't worry about it, baby. It's just dressing up as some type of character from a video game or show," Mom explained, giving my dad a quick smack upside the head.
He winced and rubbed the spot with a pout. "I just wanted to see you model one."
Mom 'hmph'ed and took my hand, leading me to one of the stores. We looked at different costumes that were my size. My eyes were set on Leon Kennedy. His outfit looked cool. It consisted of dark cargo pants, dark brown suspenders, a gun belt, a pair of black leather gloves, and some black combat boots. Dad found us and starting complaining.
"Why'd you leave me? I was about to go to the announcer to report two missing children!"
Mom was unamused. "I'm not a child."
"But if I said if you were an adult, then they wouldn't have announce it!"
"Whatever, now let's go get a cosplay outfit for-."
"You?"
"No! For Jen!"
"Well, we should get some outfits, too!"
"As long they're appropriate."
Dad reluctantly nodded and noticed I was close to the Leon Kennedy outfits.
"You want one of those?" he asked, pointing at the rack.
I nodded and he smiled, taking one out and shooing me into a small fitting room. The outfit fit me perfectly! But something didn't seem right. I checked the mirror and the light bulb lit. My hair! I quickly made it spiky and smirked. The minute I stepped out, my parents grinned. Mom took a photo.
"Looking good, son. Let's pay for it and find an outfit for your mom," he said, getting up to go to the register.
I nodded and left to retrieve my clothes, along with the bag the outfit came in. After leaving the store, my parents led me to another store. Instead of finding Mom an outfit, Dad found himself a costume.
"Awesome! A Sub Zero cosplay outfit!" he smirked, going to the fitting room to try it on.
"Mom, don't you see anything you like?" I questioned.
"Let's go see some action outfits for women," she smiled, leading me into another section.
Almost instantly, she squealed at a black suit.
"Oh my gosh! It's from Wreck It Ralph!" she cheered.
"Who's suit is that supposed to be?" I questioned.
"Calhoun's! I'm going to go try it out!" she stated before quickly walking into the fitting room.
Once my parents stepped out, we looked like an action-y family. They paid for the suits and walked out with me. Our next destination?
A gun store to complete the outfits. But throughout our walks to these stores, I felt people staring at me and murmuring. Did I have something on my face?
Hikaru's POV
My parents walked me into the Skytree. A lot of people were walking in and out, so they kept me close to them.
"You excited, Hikaru?" Dad asked, sending me a smile.
"Yup," I nodded happily as we got in line to give the people our tickets.
We waited for half an hour before getting to the front. Mom and Dad gave the ticket lady our tickets, giving us access to enter the building. Mom was already starting her walk to the top floor.
"Miyako-koi! Wait up!" Dad called, carrying me on his back, making sure I wouldn't fall off, and running after her.
"C'mon slowpokes!" she giggled before jogging.
Dad smirked and levitated an inch off the ground, flying towards her. Mom noticed and picked up the pace, but then she slowed back down.
"Boomer, cut it out! If we have a race, we'll break every window in the building," she informed, waiting for Dad and me to catch up.
"How do you know?" I questioned.
"Let's just say that a game of tag can really get out of hand," she winked.
I gave out a small laugh and rested my arms on top of Dad's head. Other families caught my attention. There was a boy and a girl with two adults. The boy, who I'm suspecting is the son, glared at any boy that eyed the girl, who I'm guessing is the daughter, in any love-y, dove-y way. The sight made the thought of having a sister even better.
"So, about that little sister idea..." I trailed off.
Mom blushed and Dad's chuckles shook his shoulders up and down.
"Don't worry, Hikaru. We'll have a new member to the family soon," he reassured. "After your mother finishes up on the pageant business, we'll make plans to have a wedding, and then you'll get a younger brother and/or sister."
"Well, I hope it's a girl," I stated.
"Why do you want a little sister so bad?" Mom questioned.
"So I won't be an only child," I answered.
"Ah."
The little girl that was being protected by her brother looked at me and blushed. She smiled and waved at me. I looked back at her a little awkwardly, waving back. The boy saw me and glared. I raised my hands up mock-defense and went back to looking forward. My parents and I went in and out of different topics.
"So, Hikaru, remember when your father and I told you about your new peer? Dia?" Mom asked, looking at me.
"Yeah," I nodded, remembering how they described her.
She sounded un-ugly, but I don't know for sure. Dad snapped his fingers, taking out his phone and unlocking it, handing it to me seconds later. A girl sat there, smiling with Brat and Blare. Her blonde hair was shiny, her dark blue eyes were radiant, and her white, straight teeth showed themselves. I blushed a little.
"Oooooh! Someone has a crush," Dad teased.
"Well, that someone isn't me," I clarified indignantly.
"Aaaaaw! Don't be shy, Hikaru," Mom grinned.
"But I don't like her!" I denied with a flustered look.
"The Punks and Rights are going to hate the fact Butch was right about the whole 'romance' thing," Dad laughed.
"No, he's wrong about it," I pouted, crossing my arms.
"Oh? Is that so?" he countered, reaching up. "What if I just delete the picture right now?"
Without thinking, I moved the phone away from his grasp. It was as if it was a reflex or something!
"I knew it! You like her!" Mom squealed, quickly taking me into her arms and spinning around.
"M-mom! Stop!" I whined, burying my face into her chest with embarrassment.
My parents lowered their laughter and kept walking. I, on the other hand, didn't move from where I was. At least Mom didn't smell bad. A lot of conversations lowered, making me uncomfortable. I peeked around my surroundings and noticed people staring at me. Luckily, my parents made them stop with a single, dark glare. Once the people continued their own conversations, I hid in Mom's shirt again. After what seemed like half an hour, Mom and Dad stopped.
"Hikaru, look. It's all of Tokyo," Mom whispered.
The room was quiet. Maybe it was because everyone was too busy awing over the view. Add me to the list. My eyes widened at the sight. Tokyo was bigger than what I expected. Every building was different, varying in sizes and colors. One by one, the lights shone. Unfortunately, the sky was grey, meaning it would rain soon. The sun was going to be covered up by clouds full of rain ready to drop any second now. A huge smile slowly crawled upon my lips.
"This is the best day ever," I whispered, inching closer to the glass window.
"I couldn't have said it better," Dad said, ruffling my hair.
Mom pecked my cheek. We played Where's Waldo, but instead of searching for a guy with a striped shirt, our target was three other families close to us. Before any of us could spot the others, something caught my eye.
"Mom, Dad, what's that black dot?" I questioned.
They squinted.
"I don't know. Maybe it's something on the glass," Dad suggested.
"No, it's getting bigger," Mom informed.
I used my super sight and tried to figure out what the dot was. It seemed to be something made out of metal. And...it was headed towards us.
"Bubbles, get Hikaru," Dad ordered, sinking his feet on the floor.
"Everyone! Head towards the exit NOW!" he barked.
All of the citizens snapped their heads towards the direction he was glaring at and immediately sprinted away.
Including Mom and me.
Just before a huge crash was heard, the sounds of two oh-so familiar, maniacal, sadistic laughs were heard.
No, it can't be!
No One's POV
The vast robot clashed with the Skytree. People fled the area, screaming in total terror. Fortunately, the other super natural families heard the sounds of glass crashing. Though, the once-abused boys heard first.
"Huh?" they asked themselves in a hushed tone.
The leaders were the first ones to act.
"Akito, come on. I think for the first time in years, there's some bad guys," Brick said.
His son nodded, floating up with his parents.
"Brick, who do you think it is?" Momoko asked. "Him? Mojo Jojo? Princess?"
"I don't know," her lover sighed. "But I really hope it isn't Princess."
She laughed, but then stopped at the sound of her son's hitching breath.
"Akito, what's wrong?"
All he did was stutter and point shakily to one certain direction.
"T-t-the s-sci-scie-s-scient-!"
Brick and Momoko turned to see what he was pointing at, only to feel loathe. There, fighting Boomer, was a giant robot.
And who is better to put there than the scientists?
In a flash, the red couple zoomed to help the blue ruff while Akito flew seconds behind. Miyako zipped up to help her boyfriend as their son hid behind a bench in a nearby park. Hikaru spotted Akito and shot a laser near his shoes. Akito looked at him and instantly flew over, his fear hidden.
"How did they get out of jail?" Hikaru cried, watching the fight in fright.
"I don't know- oh! Here comes the others!" Akito said, shooting lasers near his cousins' shoes.
The arriving boys noticed the hiding duo and decided to make it a quartet. All of the boys huddled behind the bench, observing the war in the sky. Brick shot a huge fireball at the middle of the evil contraption, but it simply bounced back into his face. His (now angry) girlfriend took the foot of the robot and swung it around, sending it to the ground. The robot shot back up to its feet and sent her into a building with a slap. The purple couple placed each others' hands in front of the other and formed a circle in opposite directions, going faster and faster. It turned into a small twister and sucked one of the robot's arms off. But it was no problem for the scientists, for they simply made another take its place. They used the robots' leg to kick them into a building. Next up was Kaoru, who sent the strongest punch she could muster towards the glass barrier that protected the evil elderlies. But, to her utter disappointment, it only made a small crack. Bored, Benibata simply sent the machine's fist down upon her head. Butch made an electric ball, sending it to the core. He got the same results as Brick. The heroes transformed and went back to fight, but only to meet a black gun.
"Huh?" the children in hiding questioned.
Before any of the super natural adults could scatter, they were blasted and smacked to the ground. Transforming was futile since it didn't even last a minute. Akito led his cousins out, catching their parents from their painful death fall. Akito looked at his parents frantically.
"Mom, Dad, no!" he cried, seeing their ripped up clothes and damaged faces.
Momoko struggled to get on her elbows, but she managed. As for Brick, he was completely comfortable on the concrete floor.
"It's okay, we've been through worse," Momoko said, trying to calm her son down.
"When?" Brick questioned, only to receive a weak nudge to his ribs. "Ow."
Looking past her son, his mother's eyes widened. Brick soon caught on and the couple pushed the young boy away, taking a blast for him.
"NO!" Akito screeched, going back to them.
His parents laid there, their eyes closed. The motionless bodies slowly turned into a pale grey as their hair lost its shine.
"No...no, no, no, no, no, no, NO!" Akito shrieked, his eyes glaring up at his old slave holders.
Unbeknownst to him, his time would be up soon.
Katashi laid his parents on the ground, checking their injuries. They were deep.
"Don't worry, I'll think of something!" Katashi promised frantically.
His father gave him a small chuckle. "Son, we're not going to be able to be healed in minutes. The thing they shot us with was Antidote X. It takes our powers away."
"It doesn't matter. Blade and the others will be here soon," Mom said, looking up to the sky, but only to see a threat.
She shoved her son away with a grunt while her husband shielded the both of them with his arms.
The tough couple were hit by an artificial lightning bolt.
"MOM! DAD!" Katashi screamed, sprinting to their side.
Their bodies were turned over, not moving. The boy's black hair covered his face, a dark aura surrounding his being.
"They've gone too far," he whispered, malice lacing his tone.
Jen sat his parents in the green grass at the nearby park.
"What do I do, what do I do?" Jen chanted to himself, looking around in the hopes of finding a miracle.
"Calming down would be good," his father chortled, laying his head back.
"Jen, you have to beat them," Emiko soothed, pressing her hand to her son's cheek.
He leaned into it as his eyes watered. "But I don't know how."
Her mouth opened to say something else, but a slight nudge from her lover cut her off. He pointed at something behind their child, but before Jen could turn around, his parents used their last bit of strength to put a force field around him. A tree clashed with his parents, knocking them to their death. Jen's eyes widened as he screamed bloody murder.
"NOO!"
His world. His peace. His sanity. It all left him as he felt his power increase out of pure hatred.
Hikaru propped his parents against the wall of a building. His head was spinning around, unlike the gears in his brain.
"I'll go find help! A doctor! Yeah- I'll go get a doctor!" he stated, getting ready to zoom off.
"Hikaru, take a breath. We're alright," his mother informed, giving him a small smile.
"No you guys aren't! You're bleeding, scratched, bruised, a-and it looks like you'll die any minute now!" he protested in a mixture of fear and anger.
"Don't worry. Sure, it'll take us a couple of months to heal, but this," Boomer indicated towards his damaged self," won't kill us."
Hikaru nodded slowly, but then noticed one of his mother's cuts were showing something white.
As in, her bone.
"I-I'm going to get something to bandage your cut, Mom," Hikaru said.
His parents' body stiffened as they shooed him off.
"Yes! Hurry! Go now!" Miyako said, lightly pushing her son away.
He looked confused as he flew off, but a crash stopped him. His head snapped back to where his parents were at.
There, squishing them, was a double decker bus.
"MOM! DAD!"
The child zipped to them, tossing the bus aside. His parents' eyes shut. And he knew they were permanently shut.
He snapped.
His eyes went darker as his body buffed up.
Rain poured down the city. Adults, children, and babies evacuated, some even thinking about not returning.
But not 4 families. No, they stayed, but most lost their lives to a pair of old, deranged, maniacal murderers. As for those who survived, their anger was pushed beyond their limit. The gifts their parents once gave them glowed, giving them power. But it wouldn't last forever. Their time was ticking and they didn't even know. Four small forms flew up to the dark sky, different colors radiating around them.
Red for anger. The anger that each child would soon show for the loss of their parents.
Green for revenge. The revenge they wanted to serve coldly and without mercy.
Blue for strength. The strength that dangerously increased without limits.
Purple for pain. The pain they all suffered through and will now return.
Another group of people flew to the boys. The Rights and the Punks arrived with their children, taking in the sight of mass destruction.
"Akito, where are-," the male leader was cut off.
"They're dead," Akito said.
"What?" Berserk questioned in disbelief, looking around.
"Find them and try getting help. If they're gone for good, keep the bodies safe," he whispered.
Begrudgingly, the leaders led their groups to find the bodies. As for the little girls, they hid in the exact same place as the boys did.
The scientists were still and quiet, watching every single thing. Even the reactions of the boys when their parents were sent to their graves.
"Hello boys," Kazahuziko greeted evilly. "You missed us?"
The children stayed quiet. A strong tornado formed on the other side of Tokyo, destroying buildings.
"Ready to come back?" Benibata asked sarcastically.
Silence. The earth shook violently, almost making the robot trip.
"Look, they're too happy to even speak," the old man mocked.
He received a stronger and louder thunderstorm as a response.
"Say something," Benibata demanded, annoyed with the silent treatment.
In a blink of an eye, Katashi flew forward and kicked the glass barrier that protected the scientists. A huge crack formed, making the scientists loose vision of everything around them. Jen ran around them, making a mini twister that made the robot airborne. Hikaru took some water from the clouds and made a whip out of it, hitting the glass as well. Akito formed a huge fireball and sent it their way; the rain evaporated around it. The evil piece of machinery was sent to a building. Under the glass, the elderly couple were at peace. As if what they were doing was expected.
Well, it was.
Kazahuziko sent bombs towards the boys, sending the four of them to the ground. It didn't faze their cold exterior, though. Jen stood up, one of his eyes covered. He summoned hail. The biggest and heaviest ones. A cloud formed above the robot, sending down the boulder-like hail down. The scientists' glass barrier was almost broken, but they moved aside and took some of the ice chunks, throwing them to back to the one who sent it. The purple-eyed boy was quick to move. He sprinted up to the machine and took a piece of hail himself, throwing it at the center. Some wires were broke loose. Jen, somehow, managed to take a sharp roof off of a house with his mind and threw it to the same place he sent the ice chunk. Hikaru took his turn. Using his water element, he made a rope. He looped the robot's feet together and spun the contraption around, finally throwing it to the sky. He used his wind abilities to suck out almost all of the oxygen inside of the robot. The scientists were a little worried, but responded with a powerful punch. Hikaru dodged it, making a tornado and throwing them inside. Katashi waited for the tornado to disappear. Once the robot was out, he greeted them with a big piece of earth, making the machine tumble backwards. He then took lighting bolts from the loud storm and shot them at the glass barrier, almost making break. Benibata pressed a button, making a rocket blast off in Katashi's face. All he did was move to the left. The ground started trembling as his self-control lost itself. He went invisible, hitting the robot in different places. After kicking them one last time, he sent them to Akito's feet. Akito looked down on them, a sharp-toothed smile appearing on his face.
"You both have lived long enough."
The scientists looked at the broken glass, seeing different shapes and sizes of Akito's creepy grin. Suddenly, he disappeared. Before the elderly couple could do anything, heat surrounded them. Then it was freezing cold. Hot. Cold. Hot. Cold. Then it stayed permanently hot, nearly burning them to a crisp. Then it stopped. Instead, a fist punched through the glass, breaking it. Knife-like shards fell upon the murderers.
"Do you have any Chemical Z?" Akito questioned, his tone almost challenging them to say 'no'.
The scientists nodded.
"Are you lying to me?"
They shook their heads.
"Give it to me."
Shakily, Benibata got up and quickly retrieved the asked item. They were going to use this to start another batch of better, more obedient children, but now that their lives were at stake, it would be used to save the kids' parents. Katashi appeared next to Akito.
"Alright. And you know what? Give us that stupid bottle over there," he said, pointing over to the beaker that held the antidote he and his cousins needed.
"Bu-but-!" Kazahuziko got cut off by a fireball near his head.
Akito glared at him and nudged his head towards the direction of the antidote.
"Alright, alright, but first..." Kazahuziko quickly took an Antidote X gun out of his pocket, aimed, and fired. "Take this!"
To his utter surprise, they were still standing. Now Akito's eyes were murderous.
"Were you seriously trying to kill us too?" he demanded, stepping closer.
Jen and Hikaru flew inside of the robot and observed the now-destroyed robot. Jen went to get the antidote bottle while Hikaru leaned on a wall, propped one of his feet up, and crossed his arms.
An ice ball appeared in one of the leaders' hands while a fire ball floated in the other one.
"Would you rather have frostbite or heatstroke?"
Before one of the scientists could choose their fate, Akito's eyes widened. He collapsed on the floor, dead.
"What the? What'd you idiots d-!" Katashi was cut off by his own self. He followed Akito's movements.
Thud!
Jen fell without a word. Before Hikaru joined his cousins, he took a random object and chucked it at Kazahuziko's shin.
Their time was up.
Akito's flame died out in the ice chip.
Katashi's lighting bolt faded away.
Jen's sparks died out (A/N: I forgot to mention on how Jen got his necklace, so there will be a small, random story at the end!).
Hikaru's bubble popped on his clothes.
Kazahuziko blinked after rubbing his shin in agony. An evil smile worked itself onto his lips as he realized his plan worked. They successfully distracted the boys long enough for their time to end.
"Do you see world? That's what happens when you test the power of the great Kazahuziko and Benibata!"
Little did they know that there was a group of girls that were watching everything from behind a bench. They looked at each other.
"Don't you think we should do something?" Dia questioned towards the rest.
Blaze's child pondered about the suggestion for a minute.
"Well, I don't see why not," Aria smirked, floating up.
"Are we going to be kicking some bad guy butt?" Kokoro asked, already punching the air as exercise.
"By the looks of their evil selves, I'm guessing we are," Eri said, a mischievous glint appearing in her eye.
They zoomed up and saw the boys sprawled across the floor. Aria stepped up.
"You both are responsible for all of this, aren't you?"
They snapped their heads up to see the girls, a little surprised. A small silence passed.
"Are you or are you not?" Dia snapped, giving them a growl after staring at her dead counterpart.
"So what if we are?" Kazahuziko scoffed, simply aiming at them with the same gun he hit the boys with.
Kokoro kicked it out of his hand, sending a punch his way. Eri tripped Benibata when she tried helping her lover.
"Tell me. What did the boys want from you two?" Dia demanded.
"Why should we tell you?" Benibata spat.
She was kicked in the gut.
"Because there's a lot more where that came from," Blare's child spat back.
"They wanted the Chemical X to heal their parents and the idiots didn't know what the other bottle was for," Kazahuziko snapped.
"What's it for?" Eri questioned, looking at the specific bottle.
None of the scientists answered. They were both thrown to the same wall.
"We want answers. And we want them now," Kokoro hissed.
"Okay, okay! The other bottle held an antidote that they needed," the old man answered harshly.
"Why would they need it?" Aria quizzed with her eyes narrowed, shoving him up against the wall.
"They needed it because they didn't have any red blood cells!" Benibata replied from behind the girl.
"Do we need some if this?" Kokoro questioned, looking into the bottle.
Kazahuziko nodded.
"Well, I don't know about you girls, but I think they should be taught a lesson," Aria smirked, her eyes flashing a bright red.
The scientists gulped as the girls surrounded them.
In the distance, you could hear screams and cries for help until they were silenced.
Looking down at the unconscious elderlies, Aria turned her attention to Akito.
"They made a lot of this stuff, so we all need have a gulp each," she said, taking one already.
She passed it on to the others.
"How do we make the boys drink this stuff?" Eri asked, kneeling next to Jen.
"Like this," Dia said, putting Hikaru's head on her lap and taking the bottle in one hand.
She raised it up to his lips and gently poured the substance in, tilting his head up. His color took a minute to regain itself. He mumbled and stirred, snuggling with her torso. Her fellow cousins snickered.
"Ooooooh! Someone has a boyfriend!" Kokoro teased, laughing at her friend's blush.
"Shut up and give some of the stuff to your man!" she snapped.
Aria and Eri snickered when Kokoro turned a light red, mumbling about how he isn't her man. She copied Dia's moves.
"Where'd you learn this?" Eri questioned.
"It was from a movie I watched with my parents," Dia shrugged.
When Katashi's body regained color, he brought Kokoro down with him and hugged her like a teddy bear. She shot the others a look before they could say anything. Eri took her turn, then was snuggled on as a reward. Aria managed to move away before Akito could do anything.
"Now to get this stuff to their parents," she ordered, motioning towards the Chemical X. She struggled to put Akito over her shoulder.
"Don't be surprised if I fall during the flight," Dia commented, piling Hikaru on her back.
Kokoro had Katashi in her arms and Eri forced Jen's limp body into a piggy back. They flew around, looking for any sign of their parents. Eri was the first one to spot them.
"They're in that empty-looking hospital!" she called over the rain.
The girls landed and went in. No one was in sight except the sixteen adults, eight of them in hospital beds.
"Are they okay?" Berserk asked, looking at the group of knocked out kids.
"Yeah, though they died for a while," Aria answered nonchalantly, placing her counterpart with the people that seemed most similar to him.
As the others did the same, she took out a bottle of Chemical X and made the parents take a gulp each. The bodies lit up as eight pairs of eyes snapped open. They looked down and noticed their children, beat up and bruised.
"What happened? Where are the scientists?" Momoko asked, gingerly taking Akito in her arms.
The Punks and Rights looked at the girls, whom whistled innocently.
"We may have knocked them out after a quick beat down," Aria said innocently.
"Are they still in the robot?" Blitz asked.
"Yup," Eri nodded.
"Let's go get 'em and throw them in jail," Blaze ordered.
"We'll stay and make sure they are alright," Aria stated, pointing at the families.
"Okay, but don't cause any trouble, alright?" Blade warned, giving his daughter a look.
"I'll try," she smiled.
The un-hurt adults walked out of the building, zooming into the dark sky.
"It's nice to see you girls again," Miyako smiled.
"Yeah, and are you girls the ones who gave us the Chemical X?" Brick asked.
"Yup," Aria nodded.
"Thanks for saving us, then," Momoko thanked.
"No prob," Eri said.
"Well, what're you girls waiting for?" Butch asked.
"What?" Kokoro asked back.
"Wake the boys up with a kiss!" he exclaimed.
The girls flushed.
"Da-ad! Make Uncle Butch stop!" a voice complained, embarrassed.
The green-eyed man looked over to see a blushing, purple-eyed boy, then glanced down to see his green-eyed son.
"Katashi!" Kaoru cried, squeezing him to her.
"M-mom," Katashi wheezed," I need to breathe."
The violent mother let go of her son. In a bed over to the left, Akito looked at his counterpart and blushed a little, but quickly made it go away.
"Uh, hey, I'm Akito," he introduced, getting off of the bed to greet Aria.
"Hi, I'm Aria," she smiled.
"How'd you girls save us?" he questioned.
"Oh, we had to beat the answers out of the scientists. When we asked them what you boys were looking for, they spilled the beans."
"Really? Well, thanks, I guess I owe you one."
"How about a play-date with the rest of the group?"
As they detailed the idea, Jen jumped off his bed.
"I heard we've got a lot of things in common," he said towards Eri, who smiled at him.
"Yeah. Your eyes are as pretty as your mom thought," she complimented.
"Thanks. Your eyes are really cool, too," he replied, giving her a white-toothed grin.
His counterpart was a tad bit nervous at the fact she was talking to someone she has never met, but kept the conversation going anyways. "What are your elements?"
"Hmm, you know what? I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours."
"Deal."
They exchanged info and joked around. Hikaru hopped off of the bed to greet Dia, but ended up tumbling towards her. When he looked up, they were an inch away from each other.
"U-uh," he mumbled, his face turning pink. "Hi, I'm Hikaru."
"Um, hi, I'm Dia," she smiled, stepping back.
"Hey, thanks for beating up the scientists," he thanked.
"It's no biggie," she replied.
"What did you girls do to them?" he asked curiously.
Dia grinned, explaining how the fight went down. Katashi got off of his bed and sauntered over to his amused counterpart.
"Hello, my name is Katashi. What may yours be?" he smirked, glad he made her blush a little.
"The name's Kokoro, what's it to you?" she questioned, crossing her arms.
"Oooh, feisty, aren't ya?" he winked.
She rolled her eyes. "Spicier than you can handle."
The parents watched the conversations go on, happy that the boys were taking a liking to their counterparts.
"He reminds me of someone," Kaoru sweat-dropped, eyeing a flirty Katashi.
"I'm going to teach him how to pick up chicks later on," Butch said, wrapping an arm around her waist.
"Blade's going to kill you," Miyako warned.
"Not if I beat him to it," Kaoru growled, disliking the idea of his son becoming a player.
"Do you think the girls beat the scientists to their death?" Boomer pondered.
"I hope so," Brick hissed.
"And if they didn't, we'll just finish them off ourselves," Momoko smirked, fire appearing in her eyes.
The adults carried off in their own conversations, but were cut off when they noticed the Rights and Punks returned empty-handed.
"Where're the freaks?" Buddy questioned.
"You wouldn't believe it," Brute sighed, shaking her head.
"What happened?" Boomer questioned.
"A couple of seconds before reaching them, they were struck by lightning and vaporized," Blaze said, not sure how to react to this himself.
"To dust?" Momoko asked, a little shocked.
"Yup. And you can check the security cameras if you want," Blare offered.
Butch quickly decided to butt into the discussion and change it entirely. "I knew it! I called it! The boys and girls do like each other!"
Blade glared at him, wrapping his hands around his neck. "Stop bringing that topic up!"
"Check it out, he was right," Blitz mumbled, staring at the kids.
The small purples were happily chatting; the small reds were sitting up against the wall, laughing about something; the small greens were showing each others' powers; the small blues were burning pictures on the wall, using their lasers.
"I need to get my little girl," Blake mumbled, trying to get his daughter away from Jen, but was stopped by Blitz.
"Well, we have to go. It might take the citizens a year or two to re-build most of the buildings, but it'll take us a couple of months," Momoko said, smiling knowingly.
"Too bad we never got to be in the pageant," Miyako sighed.
"Yeah, 'too bad'," Kaoru smirked.
"You know you guys can just find the address and fix that building first, right?" Brat questioned.
Kaoru's face darkened. "Did you really have to tell her that?"
"Hey, we can help out if you want," Berserk offered.
"Really?" Momoko questioned.
"Totally. Anything to help my-," Blaze stopped mid-sentence, noticing Brick's glare,"-I mean, Brock's girl."
"My name's Brick," Brick snapped.
"Whatever," Blaze huffed.
Berserk and Momoko shook their heads.
"Come on! And munchkins, you've got to help, too!" Blade called, flying out with Brute.
"Coming!" Kokoro called back, quickly saying 'bye player' to Katashi and following her parents.
"Mom, Dad! Let's go before they get away!" Katashi exclaimed, following his counterpart.
"We call the 'Pageants For All' building!" Miyako squealed, zooming out with Brat.
"Hold up!" their lovers cried, taking their children in their arms, and flying off.
The reds and purples followed outside, starting on different buildings.
It didn't take long for the people to return. The whole city was back to normal in a month. Pageants For All finally texted the details to all of the invited models, saying that the theme was 'Anime and Cartoon Cuties'. Brick and his brothers wore tuxedoes, matching with their sons'. The men and boys were seated on the front row, closest to the stage. When the announcer came in, they all instantly blocked out his long, boring speech.
"...so, without a further adieu, here comes the beautiful ladies."
The fathers had their phones ready for picture-taking. The sons stared at their mothers.
Momoko was dressed in a Pikachu sweater, black skinny jeans, and some yellow converse. Her make-up was light and natural-looking while her hair was pulled up in a messy bun. To make the outfit look a lot more nerdy and cute, she wore black glasses. Kaoru wore an Ouran High School uniform. The skirt went to her mid-thigh and her socks reached up to her knees. Her hair was straightened and she wore light make-up as well. To add more Haruhi-ness, she carried a school bag. Miyako wore a Hatsune Miku outfit. Boomer eyed her outfit, making sure there wasn't too much skin showing. It went down to the middle of her thigh and she wore some tights, so it gained his approval. Her hair was pulled into two straight pigtails and her make-up was simple. Emiko wore a big, loose, green sweater. It went to her knees and the sleeves covered up her arms entirely, including her hands. She wore black skinny jeans and black converse. Her hair was straightened and she carried a purple Rainbow Monkey. Her character was Numbah 3 from Kids Next Door. Since she was portraying a child, she only wore mascara. The girls kept going in and out of the stage, wearing new outfits. The other contestants tried getting the Ruffs' attention, but failed miserably. The pageant moved on from the outfits to bathing suits soon. The Ruffs couldn't take their eyes off of their girls. As for the sons, they occupied themselves with each other. They played rock, paper, scissors, patty-cake, and 'I Spy'. Soon enough, the event was finished, but not before a surprising announcement.
"Ladies and gentlemen, please take a seat. There is a very special even coming next," the announcer informed.
Akito groaned and turned to his left, ready to whine about how boring this was, but there was no adult to whine to.
"Hey, where's our dads?" he questioned, noticing four empty seats.
His cousins looked around the room, but never spotted the adults. A man placed the empty seats on stage, motioning for the Puffs to sit down. They were confused, but obeyed. What made this situation more confusing was the fact that the director asked them to wear the first outfits they modeled. Four spotlights were directed to the top of the stage, showing four men wearing different outfits.
Brick wore an Ash costume and had a poke ball in his hand.
Butch wore a Tamaki costume, holding a small world globe in his hand.
Boomer wore a Mikuo outfit, holding a microphone in his hand.
Buddy wore a Numbah 4 outfit and had a mustard-looking gun in his hand.
They simply walked up their lovers, kneeling in front of them.
"Will," Brick started off, looking at his girlfriend with nervousness in his eyes.
"You," Butch continued, trying not to shake like a brainless idiot in front of everyone.
"Marry," Boomer carried on, thinking 'This is it, this is it' over and over again.
"Me?" Buddy ended, giving his lover a crooked smile, showing off some of his teeth.
Brick popped his poke ball open to reveal a gold ring with a red rose in the middle. Butch opened the world globe to reveal a gold ring with a green star in the middle. Boomer opened the top of his microphone, showing off a gold ring with a blue heart in the middle. Buddy opened the gun in half, revealing a gold ring with a purple cross in the middle. Momoko gasped, covering her mouth with her hands. Kaoru gaped, looking at Butch, then at the ring. Miyako shed a couple of tears, looking at Boomer. Emiko was stunned, not moving.
"I-I do."
Momoko, Miyako, and Emiko snapped their heads at Kaoru, who spoke. Everyone was surprised to hear her first. As for Butch, he hugged her tight, then gloated.
"Ha! In your faces! My girl said yes first!" he laughed, pointing at his unamused brothers.
"I do," Momoko smiled towards her now-to-be fiancé.
"I do," Emiko said, grinning at Buddy.
Now everyone's attention was towards Miyako, who hasn't spoken. Boomer frowned slightly, worried that she would say no. Miyako opened her mouth and locked her eyes with Boomer's.
"Yes! Yes, I do!" she squealed, hugging him tightly.
Boomer hugged her back, relieved and beyond happy. The sons in the crowd quickly ran onto the stage, hugging their parents.
A huge cheer erupted from everyone, and everything suddenly felt lighter, more lovable.
One Year Later...
Akito paced back and forth in total anticipation. Hikaru was trying to pass the time by messing with the water from the water fountain. Jen was eyeing a certain door, waiting for someone to walk through. Katashi was sitting in a chair, pumping one of his legs up and down. Suddenly, the door slammed open, a doctor walking through.
"How's my little brother?" Hikaru asked, zooming up to him.
You see, Miyako and Kaoru were told that they would have boys while Momoko and Emiko were having girls.
"I'm sorry," the man whispered.
Hikaru's face dropped, but then it twisted up in confusion when the man smiled.
"I'm sorry for telling you and your parents a lie. You have a little sister."
His face brightened. "Really? I do? Are you serious? How is she? How big is she? Why did my mom eat her? Aren't babies supposed to come from cranes anyways? Oh, sorry, off topic- Well? Can I see them? Please?"
"Go right ahead."
Hikaru waved at his cousins excitedly before speed-walking into the room.
"Am I still having a little brother?" Katashi asked.
"You wouldn't believe it, but no. You have a little sister as well," the man smiled.
"We're still having little sisters, right?" Jen asked, motioning towards himself and Akito.
The doctor nodded. All of the boys grinned.
"I have other duties, so please wait until the nurses says it's okay to come in," he advised before walking off.
It took Jen 2 minutes to wait, Katashi 5, and Akito 7.
They walked in the rooms, looking at their new little sisters and welcoming them into the world.
Akito's POV
I walked in the room, my eyes locked on my new little sister.
"What's her name?" I automatically asked, looking at her red, wrinkly face.
"Aoyama Rose Jojo," Dad whispered, smiling down at her.
"Man, she's really pretty," I muttered, not sure if I should touch her or not.
Mom scooted over, giving me a small space to sit down next to her. I accepted her offer and sat. She handed me Aoyama, teaching me how to do it right. Once I got the hang of it, Aoyama rested her head on my arms. Her highlighter pink eyes opened a tiny bit, blinding me a little bit.
"She has your eyes," Dad smiled towards my exhausted-looking mother.
"That's good," she grinned. "Akito, how're you liking your new baby sister?"
"She's pretty cute," I said, wiggling my finger in front of her face and making her giggle.
"Hey, she likes you already," Dad informed.
"That's good," I said.
"We're going to put her room next to ours," he planned out, holding Mom's hand.
"Well, wherever she's at, I promise I'm going to protect her," I vowed.
"I bet you will," Mom said with a small smile, taking Aoyama from my arms when she started crying.
Katashi's POV
The minute I stepped in the room was the minute I heard wailing.
"So, what's her name?" I questioned, walking over to Mom's side.
"Her name's Karai Reina Jojo," she said, lightly pecking her forehead.
"You want to carry her?" Dad offered, nudging my side.
"No thanks," I declined. "I'll break her."
Mom laughed, moving over and motioning me to sit. Once I did, she placed my baby sister in my arms and demonstrated how to carry her right. The baby's eyes opened slightly, her bright green eyes showing themselves and her breath slowing down.
"Hello there, Kai-imōto," I greeted quietly.
"Kai?" Dad asked.
"It's short for Karai," I explained simply, keeping my eyes on the baby's.
"Well, at least she stopped crying," Mom said, looking relieved.
Dad pressed his hands together and mouthed 'Thank you' up to the Heavens. As I cradled Kai-imōto, Mom laid back and shut her eyes. Dad pecked her forehead.
"Our rollercoaster around life was really long..." he started.
"And really worth it," Mom ended, falling into a blissful sleep.
Jen's POV
I walked into the room and looked around for my baby sister. She looked really tiny from my view.
"Oh, hi Jen," Mom grinned weakly, beckoning for me to come closer with a hand. "Come here, meet your new little responsibility and sister, Janeru Renée Jojo."
My first instinct was to loom over her and get a glance at her eyes, so I did so. Her shimmering purple eyes opened a small bit.
"She has your mother's eyes," Dad informed, hugging Mom's waist.
I nodded in agreement, sitting next to her bed. Janeru reached out and curled her fingers around my pinky. I wriggled it around, making her giggle a little bit.
"I promise I won't let anyone touch you. Ever," I promised, locking my eyes with hers.
"That's a brave thing to promise," Mom said in a proud tone.
"I've fought two psychopaths, died for a short amount of time, used my telekinesis to help smash a robot, and helped Tokyo rebuild itself," I listed out. "If that doesn't label me as brave, then I don't want to know what would.
"You have a point there," Dad smirked, ruffling my hair. "And before I forget, your mother and I got you a present."
"Really?" I questioned, gently removing my pinky from Janeru's grasp to look at him. "What is it?"
"It was an idea from your Uncle Brick when we noticed you boys lost your necklaces in the fight with the scientists," he said, taking a box out of his pocket and giving it to me.
I opened it, and what was inside made my jaw drop. It was an exact replica of my old tornado necklace with sparks inside. I clasped the chain around my neck, glad it glowed.
"Thanks Mom. Thanks Dad."
Hikaru's POV
I placed the necklace around my neck, letting it glow for a second before going back to normal. Mom and Dad took turns on carrying my new little sister, Hamari Rita Jojo. It's cool being an old brother.
"When are we going to be able to take her home?" I asked.
"In two days," Mom said.
"Hey Hikaru, since you're in the hospital, why don't you go visit your friends while your mom feeds the baby?" Dad suggested.
"But I want to feed her too!" I protested.
Mom's cheeks turned pink, as if she was trying to keep her laughter back. "I'm pretty sure you can't feed her, Hikaru. Only the mom can."
Since she was exhausted, I nodded and got up, but I didn't leave without giving my family a peck in the cheek. I walked out of the room to see my cousins in the waiting room.
"Your mom had to feed the baby, right?" Katashi asked with a bored expression.
"Yeah, but how'd y-," Jen cut me off.
"The same thing happened for the rest of us."
We stayed quiet, sitting in the waiting room, looking up to the ceiling.
"Well, we've through heck and back," Akito chuckled, as if he doesn't believe it himself.
"We've had a rough time for a while," I mumbled quietly.
"But it was always worth it," Jen whispered.
"For our families and each other," Katashi muttered.
Akito put his hand out, then Katashi placed his next, then Jen, then me.
"We may be cousins by our family tree, but we're brothers by our adventures together," Akito smirked.
The rest of us copied his expression.
"Always," we said, throwing our hands in the air.
DOOOOOONE! YES! FINALLY! WOOOOOOOOOH! Thanks for those who stuck around until the end! I love you, random readers! R&R! Bye guys! Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got another story to finish.
