As requested by MoonWallker aaaages ago (I'm so sorry this has taken so long please forgive me ;A;) and by Angle Heart (guest)~!

It was a beautiful summers day.

The sky was a deep blue and not a single cloud was in sight. The little wind they had was not bitingly cold or uncomfortably warm, and it felt undeniably nice as it brushed past them.

The pair of black and whites drove side by side, moving to be single file when the road called for it, across the desert to an outcrop that overlooked the thick forests below.

Jazz was the first to transform, immediately looking out over the beautiful vista, visor bright with curiosity.

"Ah never knew tha' trees could grow this high." He murmured, not able to even see the ground the trees were growing on thanks to their thick, leaf-laden branches. Prowl transformed slightly behind him, walking up to stand beside him.

"There are taller ones in the rainforests."

"Ah wanna climb one."

"Perhaps Skyfire would be willing to take you there." Prowl replied dryly, sitting down so his legs were hanging over the edge, "I, on the other hand, would not like to spend my day off trying to keep you from killing yourself."

"Ah'd be fine!" Jazz whined, dragging his last word as he mirrored Prowl, swinging his legs like a youngling. "Ah can always use meh magnets." Jazz wiggled his fingers.

"On wood."

"Oh. Yeah. Maybe not."

"I had hoped not."

Jazz huffed, reaching over and stealing one of Prowls hands as he held it in his own. "Ah am glad we got the day off together. We hardly ever do."

"We're high command." Prowl sighed, squeezing his hand. "There's not much we can do about it."

Jazz simply hummed in reply, reaching into his subspace with his free hand and handing a cube to Prowl.

"May as well enjoy it while we can, mm?"

Prowl felt inclined to agree.

Prowl had made the mistake of closing his optics. One moment, Jazz was still beside him, and the next he was nowhere to be seen. He'd fallen asleep.

Drat.

Remembering the conversation from earlier, Prowl groaned and looked over the edge of the outcrop to see-

"HOW THE FRAG-" Prowl cut himself off before he went any further, too frustrated with the mech currently perched at the top of a tree, grinning and waving at him. Oh he was so mad with him. "I'm not helping you down!"

He saw Jazz's mouth move as if he were saying something, but he couldn't hear him at all. He was too far away. Barely refraining from flipping the mech off, he sighed and simply flopped backwards on the grass again.

He heard the suspicious and telling sound of a tree bending in ways it really shouldn't and he looked up just in time to see Jazz being catapulted towards him. Prowl barely had time to scramble out of the way as Jazz bounced his way across the ground before managing to get himself to stop.

"Told ya Ah'd be fine!"

"Yes but what about the tree?!" Prowl hissed back, almost hysterical. This was not what he was expecting at all!

Jazz looked over to see what he meant and immediately felt guilty. The tree he'd just used to launch himself at the Datsun was now looking worse for wear, and he thought he could hear it cracking and splintering. "Oops."

Prowl huffed and glared at him, clearly not incredibly pleased.

"Ah'm sorry, Prowler."

"Just… don't let Hound find out."

Jazz hadn't thought of that. Hound would be pissed. The mech loved nature, and was the usual culprit for dragging mud into the base. It was as if he wallowed in the stuff.

"Ah wont."

Prowl sighed and tugged the mech towards him, pulling him into a hug. "You are far too curious for your own good."

So much for a relaxing picnic.

Dang, sorry it's so short.

As always, if you want anything, just ask! Any and all requests are greatly appreciated!

I also need something to get me out of socializing with the family this Christmas. Hint hint wink wink.
