The Quinjet landed in the spot it always did when they arrived to the farm. Only Nat and Loki had joined her on the trip, Tony and Bruce having decided to go to Wakanda to see if they could help with Vision, while Thor, Steve, and Nebula attempting to figure out if they could find where Thanos had gone and Rhodey staying at HQ to coordinate them all. When they got off the jet Clint and Laura came out with Lila, their only remaining child.

Nat went up to him giving him a hug and when they broke he walked up to Raven and wrapped his arms tightly around her. She whispered, "Clint I'm so sorry."

"Me too." He said back, both of them refusing to cry again. He looked up and saw Loki and Raven went to explain and he shook his head, "Laura told me. It's…it's fine."

"Thanks." She said. "Where have you been?"

"Fury sent me to do something." He answered.

"What?" Nat asked.

"Can't say yet." He told them.

She nodded and they separated, Nat going with Clint back to his house and Loki following Raven to hers. He knew she probably wasn't happy that he was there but she had allowed him without any convincing. She hesitated before opening the door but took a deep breath and turned the knob to an empty house.

Loki followed her inside and the place was nothing like her apartment had been, the once chic and modern lifestyle she had lived now replaced with a cozy and domestic one. She looked around and said mostly to herself, "I should probably clean up a bit, do some laundry."

"Where is Scott?" Loki asked.

"Probably went home." She replied.

"He doesn't live here?"

"No, he and Mae live in town." She answered.

"Scott…and Mae?" Loki looked amused.

"Let me guess, you'll let him live?" She looked over at him and he couldn't help but smile at her referring to the jealousy he once felt at Scott working with her.

"Yes, I will."

"Good I don't want Mae to kill you when she gets back." Raven said grabbing clothes from the back of the couch that she had left there. From there she went upstairs to grab the laundry basket and moved around the home collecting clothes.

Loki began to explore the home not really sure what to do while she cleaned. He looked at the pictures scattered around the living room, some he had seen over and over again on the tablet she had given him, some were new. As he made his way into the kitchen he noticed drawings on the fridge. He went over and looked at them. Most had clearly been done by a child, arrows pointing at the figures drawn on them saying Mom, Me, Uncle Thor, Uncle Steve, Mr. Barton, Mrs. Barton, Cooper, Lila, and Nathaniel. The handwriting was good for a four year old. He moved up the fridge to see one that was very well done and he pulled it from the magnet to look at it. It was an amazing representation of him, he was smiling in the drawing, his hair much shorter than it was now. He heard her voice behind him, "She wanted to know what her dad looked like."

Loki turned to look at her, "You drew this?"

"Yeah." She replied grabbing a towel from the kitchen and putting it in the basket. "She insisted we put it on the fridge with the others since I had done such a good job."

"It's amazing. I didn't know you could draw." He looked back at the image.

"It was just something I did when I was bored growing up. A good way to pass time." She shrugged going back to the laundry at hand.

After she had a load in she went to the kitchen and asked, "Are you hungry?"

"A bit peakish." He replied. She opened up the cupboard and saw there wasn't much in there, just macaroni and hamburger helper. He saw her stop and look at the macaroni and remembered what he had overheard her tell Steve and quickly said, "You don't have to cook for me."

"I'm hungry too." She replied pulling down the hamburger helper.

He took a seat at the island in the kitchen and watched as she cooked. A smile grew on his face remembering one of the videos on the tablet, she was in the kitchen cooking and Louise ran up to her with a picture she had just drawn, a picture that was now hanging on the fridge. Raven had picked the little girl up and said how good the drawing was and gave the girl a kiss on the cheek before blowing on the stew she was making to let Louise try some out of the big spoon.

Raven turned around and saw the small smile on his face and she sighed, "What? You've seen me cook before, I'm the one who taught you."

"Yes, but…but this is different." He said.

"How?"

"I-I don't know. It just is." The smile lingered on his face.

They sat in silence while eating, the meal not as gourmet as the ones she used to make for him but it tasted good. When they were done eating they put their plates in the sink and she said, "There's a spare room upstairs, you can sleep there or the couch, whichever you prefer."

"Okay." He said, having known the likelihood that they would be sleeping in the same bed was slim. When she turned to go upstairs he called after her, "Raven, I…I just wanted to say thank you for allowing me to come with you."

Her a confused crease formed in between her eyebrows, "Why are you acting weird?"

"I'm not acting weird." He let out a slight nervous laugh.

"Yes you are. Stop it." She turned back around and went upstairs. As she walked down the hall she looked at Louises door. Raven couldn't stop herself from opening the door. When she walked in she let out a half laugh half cry at the room. It wasn't the cleanest room but everything was just the way her daughter liked it, everything had its place. Every stuffed animal and almost every nick knack was exactly where she had always kept them. Raven couldn't stop herself, she picked up the few dirty clothes from the floor and put them in the little hamper in the corner of the room.

She looked on the window sill where the plant Lila had given her was sitting and she went over to it using the cup that was half full of water next to it to water the plant. Looking around the room she saw a half drawn image on the girls art table. She looked down at the image and picked it up. Her tears broke through seeing the words 'Good Job!' at the top with an image of Raven in her suit drawn next someone that looked like it was going to be Tony. It was from what she'd seen in New York.

Loki passed the room looking for his own and saw her looking at the picture, her hand over her mouth trying to keep from sobbing and his body reacted. He didn't care if she pushed him away when he wrapped his arms around her but she didn't instead she melted into his arms as she cried. Holding her tight he saw the picture in her hand and he pressed her head into his chest, his lips resting against her head, "Raven, I'm so sorry."

"I miss her so much." She managed to get out.

"I know." He ran his down her ponytail. He stood there as she cried holding her, he let her get out what she needed and eventually her breathing leveled and she pulled away.

"I'm…I'm fine." She said and he nodded his head. Looking around she put the picture back down on the desk, "I-I should make sure everything's back where she likes it."

"Alright." He wiped away one last tear on her cheek.

"The spare room is the second door on the right." She sniffled moving away starting to pick up a couple of books on the small table to put them back. Loki watched her for a moment before leaving the room to find his own and take a shower.

After his shower he left the room and wanted to check to make sure that Raven was still alright and saw the light was still on in Louise's room. He slowly approached the room and pushed the door open slightly. Taking a step in he saw Raven on the small bed, her legs pulled in to fit on it, a stuffed animal in her arms, eyes closed, and taking shallow breaths. She was asleep. He smiled at the sight, she seemed relaxed for the first time since he'd seen her. He saw a set of extra blankets on a shelf and picked one up laying it over her gently. Kneeling down he ran his hand over her cheek where the mark of a tear had dried. His fingers grazed over the now short hair on the side of her head, it looked good on her, not as good as when her hair was down, but he loved the way her dark wavy locks fell around her face more than any other way she wore her hair.

Deciding to let her sleep there he looked around the room and took it in for the first time, the tree and birds painted on the wall, the books and games in the bookcase, the closet full of little clothes. He was sure to be quiet as not to wake Raven as he explored his daughters room, doing what he could to get to know his child. After a while he sat down in the rocking chair in the corner and leaned back just watching Raven sleep and eventually fell asleep himself.
