Chapter 25
Bo and Tamsin headed upstairs to tuck Eden in. They walked into her room to see her and Kenzi curled up on the bed asleep. Kenzi had an open book on her chest and the lamp beside the bed was still on. Kenzi was lying on top of the comforter and Eden was under it. Bo walked over and gently took the book from Kenzi and put her under the comforter with Eden. She kissed her on the forehead and laid the book on the nightstand. Bo went to kiss Eden as well and Eden woke up and looked at her. Her big green eyes were heavy with sleep.
"Hi mommy," she said with a yawn.
"Hi baby, go back to sleep."
"You're not still mad at me?" asked Eden.
"No honey. Give me a kiss," Bo answered.
Bo bent down and Eden wrapped her little arms around her neck.
"I love you, mommy," she said.
"I love you too. Sleep well." Bo said laying her back in the bed. Tamsin walked over to kiss her goodnight as well. As they left the room they saw her snuggle up next to Kenzi and close her eyes.
"It's almost like having two kids sometimes," said Tamsin with a smile. "Kenzi is something else."
"Yeah she is," Bo agreed.
"Now that the kids are in bed, what are we going to do?" asked Tamsin in a husky voice.
"What did you have in mind?" asked Bo catching her hint.
"Let's go to the bedroom and I'll show you."
The two kissed their way into the bedroom. Bo had Tamsin up against the doorframe and was kissing her down her body. Tamsin pulled off Bo's clothes in a hurry and Bo helped Tamsin out of her pants. Bo could feel her arousal and hunger grow as she pulled Tamsin's pants down her legs. Tamsin felt her stomach do flips as Bo kissed her stomach and thighs. Tamsin pulled her shirt over her head and took control by leading Bo over to the bed.
Bo was under Tamsin on the bed and Tamsin had a hungry look in her eyes. Bo's pants had already been lost and she lay bare under her. Tamsin straddled one on Bo's thighs and Bo could feel Tamsin's wetness growing. Tamsin's hand wandered down to Bo's core. Her fingers made their own paths over her wet center. Tamsin kissed and licked Bo thighs and made her way back over to her center. Bo pushed back against Tamsin's tongue, wanted more. Tamsin was in no mood to give her what she wanted just yet and continued to lick her but was careful to avoid her clit. It seemed to Bo that Tamsin was kissing and licking everywhere but where she wanted her most. Tamsin was teasing her. She silently cursed her for it, but was in too much pleasure to care too much.
Bo moved her thigh up the meet Tamsin's wet core. Tamsin gasped at the contact. Bo rubbed her thigh between Tamsin's legs as Tamsin continued her teasing. Bo moved her thigh in a rhythm to meet Tamsin's. Tamsin was having a hard time teasing Bo when she was trying so hard to make her come. "Come for me, Tamsin." Said Bo sending a wave of charm through her as she said it.
Tamsin could feel herself building to a big release but was also too determined to come first this time. She gave Bo a wide lick and sucked hard on her clit.
"Fuck!" gasped Bo as her hips moved forward to meet Tamsin's mouth. She body seemed to override her mind as she felt herself slip into an orgasm. Tamsin sucked and kissed as Bo rode out her orgasm. Bo increased her speed and pressure on Tamsin and Tamsin felt herself coming. Tamsin throw her head back as Bo added her hand too. She had to keep her volume down as she came. Tamsin ground herself on Bo's hand and thigh as she started to come back down. She caught her breath and kissed Bo. Bo could taste herself on Tamsin's lips.
"Do you have any idea how sexy you look when you come?" asked Bo.
"Mmmm," Tamsin answered as she closed the gap between them. She wrapped her arms around Bo and pulled the covers over them.
The Morrigan sat in her office twirling the locket between her fingers. She watched as the open locket with Bo's picture and the picture of the little girl turned around and around. They had told her that they had taken the locket off of Tamsin. It seemed to her that Tamsin had joined her sunshine gang after all. She could feel the anger bubbling inside in. The Valkyrie had not kept her promise and she had betrayed her. She didn't know how she was going to deal with that problem yet, but she might just have the answer in her hand. She watched as her anger caused the metal to melt slightly in her hand. She could hurt Tamsin and get rid of the Succubus all at once. This locket was proof that Tamsin had fallen in love with Bo, but she still didn't know who the child was.
She looked more closely at the pictures in the locket. Bo's picture smiled at her. She looked at the one of the child. It hit her like a ton of bricks as she saw the green eyes and blonde hair of the girl. The child looked just like Tamsin! It was her child! She had a child with the Succubus! She couldn't believe it. This was too perfect. She took the picture out of the locket and turned it over. Written on the back was, "Eden, 6 months." This confirmed what she had thought. It was Bo and Tamsin's child and she was fae. The girl in the picture looked like she was three years old instead of only six months like the back said. The only way for that to be true was if the child was a very powerful fae. Bo was unaligned and Tamsin was dark fae. The girl would have to go to the dark fae by default. She could take the child and get rid of both Bo and Tamsin.
She had to know what the child could do. She knew she would have powers but she didn't know if she would be showing them at her young age or not. She had to find out. The best way to do this would be to send people out to spy on her. She could find out how powerful Eden was and she would know what her weaknesses were as well. If she could get ahold of her then she would be more powerful than Bo or the Blood King. By using her child against her, she could destroy Bo and the line between the light and the dark. She would be ruler of all the fae. She had heard that Bo had found her father and that he was one of the rulers of the Underworld. She couldn't imagine how powerful the granddaughter of a god and the daughter of a Valkyrie could be. Bo or Tamsin would be the only thing in the way of her having all the power in the fae world.
The Morrigan called some of her lackeys into her office. "I need you to find out all that you can about what the Succubus and the trader Valkyrie are up to. Do whatever you need to do to get close to them. They will have a child with them as well. I want to know all about her. She is fae and I want to know what she can do. Don't let them catch you or see you. If you do this and do it well then a reward will be in order. Don't fail me or you will be punished." She said.
"Yes Ma'am. We can find out what you need to know and we will be very discreet."
"See that you are," she answered and waved them out the door.
She looked back at the locket and smiled. She could have revenge on the Succubus and Tamsin and the only thing it would take would be getting to this little girl. It felt like her birthday had come early this year. This was going to be too easy. She would make them pay for all the humiliation that she had gone through at their hands. If she couldn't have the child then she would take her from them.
Tamsin and Bo were greeted the next morning when Eden ran into the room and jumped on the bed.
"Good morning Sunshine," said Tamsin grabbing her as she jumped on the bed.
"Morning MommyT," Eden said in a sweet voice.
"I think we need to go out today and teach you some things," said Tamsin.
"Like what?" Eden asked.
"How to control those powers of yours for starters," Tamsin answered.
"Go see Aunt Kenzi so we can get ready, Baby girl," said Bo kissing her and putting her on the floor.
"Okay," she said running out of the room to go find Kenzi.
"So what's the plan?" asked Bo.
"I think we should take her out to the Dal and see what she can do with some of the different kinds of fae that come in there. I could take her to one of the dark fae bars, but I worry that it could be dangerous." Tamsin said.
"Well we have to be prepared for anything and I know you'll protect her. A dark fae bar would have more dangerous fae hanging out in it than the Dal, so we would get a better idea of what she can do," Bo added.
"As long as we are around nothing is going to happen to her, but she just seems so small to be doing this sort of thing."
"She has abilities that we never dreamed of at her age. She will be a target now that the Morrigan knows about her. This is important. These men that attacked us and took your locket will have no doubt have taken it to her. Maybe we can even hear something about what she is up to if we check out some of the bars," Bo said.
"Well, I suppose," Tamsin said.
Eden came running back into the room. Bo and Tamsin were almost ready to go.
"MommyT, I helped Aunt Kenzi make breakfast. Come and eat. I made it special." She said with a large grin.
"Alright sweetheart, we'll be down in just a minute," Tamsin answered.
They came down to breakfast and saw that Eden and Kenzi had made them pancakes. They smelled wonderful. Eden ran up to Bo and Bo picked her up.
"See MommyB, I tried to put a smiley face on yours," Eden told Bo.
Bo looked down at the pancake she was pointing to. It looked more like a grimace than a smile. Bo smiled seeing the delight on Eden's face.
"It's wonderful, Honey. I love it." She said hugging her close to her.
"I tried to make yours into a heart, MommyT," Eden added looking over at Tamsin.
Tamsin looked down at her plate. It did look a little like a heart, but you had to squint your eyes really hard to see it.
"Yeah I can see that," said Tamsin looking back at Eden. "Good job."
After breakfast they headed out to the Dal with Eden and Kenzi in tow. Eden was happy and skipping. She wanted to see Dyson and Trick. They had to run to catch up with her. Tamsin ran and scooped her up.
"Hey slow down." Tamsin said turning her to cradle her in her arms. Tamsin put her back down only to have her run out ahead again. She signed.
They Dal was packed when they got there. There were people there that Bo had never seen before. They greeted trick and Eden ran over to give him a hug. It lit up when he saw the little girl. Bo thought about how nice it was to see Trick like that. Trick had the goofiest smile when he looked at Eden.
"Hey Trick. We might need your help with something. The Morrigan may know about Eden and my relationship with Tamsin. Eden is showing promise with her powers. We were wondering if there might be a way that we could test her. We need to know what she can do and teach her to control them." Bo asked.
"Oh well that's not good news. The Morrigan is already after you and Tamsin. She would love to get her hands on Eden. You said that she is already showing abilities?" asked Trick.
"Yes, we caught her last night trying to charm Kenzi into letting her stay up late," Bo said.
"She didn't just try, she had done it," laughed Tamsin and Kenzi gave her a smug look.
"That's impressive. She is so young!" Trick said.
"Yeah we know, but it will also make the Morrigan want her more if she knows what she can do. We need to teach her some things so she can protect herself to some degree if it comes to that." Bo said.
Dyson walked up to the group. Eden always seemed a little shy around him. She could sense the tension between him and Tamsin. She knew they had not always seen eye to eye.
"Hey Dyson, come over here a minute I want to test something," said Trick.
"I'm not sure I like the sound of that," Dyson answered but he walked over anyway.
"Stand in front of Eden and look her in the eyes," Trick said and Dyson did as he asked. "Eden, I want you to try to get Dyson to do something out of the ordinary. Nothing dangerous, but something that he would not normally do," Trick told Eden.
Eden focused on Dyson and Dyson could feel himself getting lost in her eyes. Eyes he noticed looked just like Tamsin's. He could feel her in his mind and he could feel his limbs moving. He was moving but he had no control over where he was going. It was like Eden was looking into his mind and she was charming him to do what she wanted. He watched himself walk over to Tamsin and pull her into a hug. Tamsin was surprised but she didn't back up. Eden smiled as she broke her hold over Dyson.
"Wow that's extraordinary!" exclaimed Trick. "She can charm without even touching him. She could bend his will to her own. What did you feel Dyson?"
"I could feel her in my mind. It was like she could feel the tension between Tamsin and me," Dyson answered.
"Eden could you see what Dyson was thinking?" asked Bo.
"A little," Eden answered in a small voice. "I can feel it," she said struggling for the right words to say what she wanted to say. "Sometimes he doesn't like MommyT, so I tried to make it better."
"That's very sweet of your darling," said Bo.
"Those powers are unique to a Veela, but she can also feel his emotions. That is rare for a Veela to have to it has been known to happen. She felt the animosity between Dyson and Tamsin. She can assess other emotions and use them against them if she chooses. It's not like reading minds but it's more like reading moods to figure out what someone it thinking. If she tried harder she might even be able to see why Dyson feels that way about Tamsin. Eden try again and tell us why he feels that way," said Trick.
"I don't think that's a good idea," Tamsin said but it was too late. Eden was already focused on Dyson once again. Dyson felt her in his mind once again and tried to hide why he felt that way against Tamsin. He put up walls, but she knocked the down with charm. She charmed him to let her in. She didn't have him do anything this time, she just looked.
Eden broke away rather abruptly. She looked confused.
"What's wrong, Honey?" asked Bo
"MommyB had me with MommyT and that made him sad," she said with wide eyes. Tamsin picked her up and hugged her close. She laid her head on Tamsin's shoulder. Tamsin shot both Trick and Dyson a dirty look, and her eyes went black for a split second.
"That's enough! She's too little for this!" Tamsin said in a rage. Bo stroked Eden's hair.
"Bo I'm sorry I tried to keep her from seeing that," Dyson said.
"I didn't think," said Trick. She's more powerful then I even thought. Dyson is a grown fae and she broke into his mind like it was nothing. She needs to work on the skills. I know it might be a lot for her, but it can help protect her."
"Not Dyson, then," said Bo.
"Yes of course, no more Dyson," Trick agreed. "How about Hale?"
"Okay but don't push her too much. Upset her again and we're done," Bo said. "Tamsin put her down. It's okay," Bo said and Tamsin reluctantly put her back on the floor. "Eden, baby, Dyson loves you. It's not your fault that MommyT doesn't always get along with him, okay?" said Bo looking into her eyes. "Now Hale is going to come over and I want you to do what you did to Dyson to him. Can you do that?"
"I think so," Eden answered. Hale stepped forward and got on his knees so he could look Eden in the eyes. Eden focused on him and he felt her come into his mind. She could see what he was feeling and he felt his limbs moving without his permission. He walked over to Kenzi and kissed her on the cheek.
Eden giggled and broke her hold, "He likes Aunt Kenzi," Eden said smiling.
Hale blushed and tried to play it off and Kenzi just looked awkward.
"This kid should go into therapy because she has a way of getting everything out in the open," said Tamsin.
"Many Veela do go into that sort of work because they have a way with people," remarked Trick.
"Maybe that's enough for today," said Bo.
"I don't want to overwhelm her, but we should stop by the dark bar on the way back. A friend of mine will be there tonight and it would be a good night to see if Eden's power works on her," Tamsin said to Bo.
"Just ten minutes," answered Bo as they walked out of the Dal. They walked down the street to a bar that Tamsin used to hang around. Tamsin walked in with Bo on one arm and holding Eden in the other. The whole place looked up as she came in, but most couldn't care less. Those that looked too long Tamsin gave a look and they went back to what they were doing.
Tamsin walked up to a woman at the back of the bar. "This is Candace. She is an elf and as you know elves have a very strong will. She and I have history, and I know just how stubborn she can be," Tamsin said introducing her.
"Don't spill all of my secrets, Tamsin. Who are these lovely women with you?"
"This is my girlfriend, Bo and our daughter Eden," Tamsin answered.
"Nice to meet you, but what are you doing here? If I'm caught talking to you I'll be in deep shit," Candace said.
"I had to come by because you were the best person I could think of to test Eden's abilities on. She is Veela and we have to know what she can do. It can help her if the Morrigan decides to come after us again, and she might."
"I see. If she finds out I helped you she'll be pissed. I'll do it," Candace answered.
Eden looked her in Candace's eyes as she had done before. Eden could feel the pain that Candace had felt at the hands of the Morrigan in the past.
"Eden can you make her walk over to that table over there?" asked Tamsin pointing to a table nearby.
Eden focused and Candace started to walk over to the table. It was difficult for Eden to get her to move but she was able to do it after a minute or two. She was harder to break into then either Dyson or Hale. There were walls that blocked her here. She had to lay on more charm than with the others. Candace made it to the table and sat down.
"I see why the Morrigan might want her," said Candace coming back to herself.
"She doesn't know about her powers but she may know about her. She may know that I'm involved with Bo and she could use her as a way to get to both of us. We need to be ready if she tries something. Don't tell anyone okay?" said Tamsin.
"No, I won't. I hate the Morrigan. She sucked the talent out of my last lover and killed him," Candace said.
"Thanks," Bo said.
Most of the people in the bar had not noticed what was going on, but there was one pair of eyes that was watching their every move. He didn't know what he was seeing but he know the Morrigan would be interested in it. She had told him to find out about Tamsin and her daughter. This was a great start.
It was late evening when they got back to the apartment. Eden was worn out from having to use her abilities on so many people today. Tamsin put her down on the couch next to Kenzi so they could relax for a bit. Kenzi turned on some cartoons for them to watch. Eden didn't seem as happy as she had been this morning and Bo could see that there was something on her mind. She sat on her other side and looked over at her. She looked like she was deep in thought.
"Eden, what's wrong?" Bo asked.
"I hate that Dyson is sad. I wish I could help," Eden said.
"Oh sweetheart, it's not your fault. He is not mad at you in any way. Don't worry about it." Bo said kissing the top of her head. "You're way too little to feel guilty over something like that. I love MommyT and Dyson will have to get used to it. I'm sorry you had to see how he felt," Bo explained. "Come here," she said pulling the little girl into her lap. She pulled her head down to her chest. "Just lie down and relax. It's all okay. I'm here," Bo said rubbing her back.
Bo sat there with her for a long time and soon she could hear her rhythmic breathing. She knew it was late and she walked up the stairs taking Eden to bed. She laid her in her bed and tucked her in. She turned on the nightlight that was in the corner of the room and went to bed herself. Tamsin walked in after her to kiss her goodnight. She brushed the blonde hair out of her face whispered an I love you.
Bo and Tamsin were also worn out after today. Bo was worried about the guilt that Eden felt for Dyson and she was still mad at him for letting her see that. He didn't mean to, but she was still upset about it. She hoped that Eden would forget about it tomorrow.
Bo and Tamsin fell into a deep sleep, but there peace was broken by a heart-stopping scream. They both shot up out of bed and headed toward Eden's room. They burst through the door and saw her under her covers. Tamsin turned on the light and rushed over to her.
"Eden, what's wrong," she said pulling the blanket off of her. She saw her eyes were full of fear. She was shaking. Tamsin hugged her. "Tell me."
"There's someone in here," said Eden with a voice full of fear.
Bo looked all around the room and under the bed. She looked in the closet and couldn't find anything unusual. Everything looked like it was in the right place and she didn't find anyone in the room.
"There's no one here, Honey," said Bo.
"I saw him," Eden insisted.
"It may have been just a bad dream, although sometimes bad dreams can be pretty serious," said Bo remembering her run in with the Mare. "It was a dream, baby. Go back to sleep. I'll stay in here until you fall asleep if you want."
"Yes please," said Eden still afraid.
Tamsin didn't think anyone could get into Eden's room without them knowing but it was a disturbing thought. She wanted to move her into their room for a few days, but thought she was being over protective. The Morrigan didn't have the power to come into their house by herself and they would be able to kill anyone that tried to get to their daughter. She tried not to worry too much. It could have been just a dream of an over imaginative little girl. She had been through a lot today. It could have just been from the stress of it all. She hoped that was all it was.
