Two weeks have passed since Winifred and Phillip were 'born' and the party was today. Which meant that Elizabeth had to wear a dress. She hates dresses. At least she could walk and slightly breathe on her own. But she still had to wear a ankle brace.
"Please wear a dress? " Tooth was begging by now.
"No. I don't like to wear a dress. Can't I just wear, like, a suit?"
"Absolutely not! Your a lady, which means that you have to wear a dress!"
"What about you? If your a lady too, you have to wear a dress."
"I don't need too! I have feathers that look like a dress! Sort of." Elizabeth sighed. "Plus, Jack is going to wear a suit!" The image of Jack in a tuxedo came into Elizabeth's mind, making her blush.
"With shoes?" Tooth gave a nervous smirk.
"I think the boys are going to try. But we make no promises." Elizabeth laughed.
"Fine. "

"Put. Those. Things. Down."
"Frostbite. Just deal with'm for one night."
"No. Those things are demon spawns."
"There not that bad, Jack."
"Yeah Frostbite. There just-"
"Shoes." North finished for Bunny. Jack raised an eyebrow.
"Your point being?"
"Elizabeth's gonna wear a dress. And Death told us she hates dresses. So, just wear the thing that you hate so she wont be left out." Jack blushed as he thought of Elizabeth being in a dress. But with the dress being a little shorter than it really is. If you get what I mean.
"Can I just wear them for a little bit? I don't want to wear them all night." Sandy glanced at North and Bunny, who sighed.
"Da. You may."
"But ya' better wear em'!"
"I will!" He smirked as he walked away. North turned to Sandy.
"Follow him and make sure he doesn't get rid of the shoes."

Jack quickly turned a corner, with his staff in one hand and the demon shoes in the other. He didn't even take notice of Sandy quietly following him.
"Okay. Now, were to get rid of these things?" He muttered loud enough for Sandy to hear. The golden man silently laughed. North was right. He was getting rid of the shoes.
"Aha!" Jack declared, his eyes fixed on the window. Sandy was confused. He wasn't really gonna through them out the window, was he? Sandy quickly stood next to Jack and grabbed the winter spirits hand with the shoes.
"Ack! S-Sandy! H-Hey! What are you doin'?" He laughed nervously. Sandy merely pointed at the shoes.
"O-Oh? I wasn't throwing these away! Uh- Some monster came and tried to take the shoes away, but I stopped them! So don't worry! I'll, um, be going now." Before Jack could leave, Sandy grabbed the back of Jacks hoodie- even though they told him to get ready an hour ago- and gave him a look saying 'I don't believe you so stop lying.'.
"Fine. You got me. But I don't want to wear the shoes. Can I please not wear them?" Sandy was about to shake his head no, but Jack gave him the 'puppy eyes' look. Sandy sighed, giving in, and motioned for Jack to give him the shoes.
"Thanks Sandy! I'm gonna go and get ready!" And then he was gone.
But now Sandy was wondering what he was going to do with these shoes...

"Is the party starting yet?" Tooth asked North, who stopped by to see if they were done.
"Sort of, da. The other spirits are starting to get here. Is Elizabeth finished?"
"Almost. Is Jack ready?"
"I think he is doing that now."
"Good. We have to keep them separated until the party starts! I want to see Jacks reaction! Elizabeth looks beautiful!"
"She does?" North smiled at Tooth excitement.
"Oh, yes!" Bunny suddenly appeared next to them.
"The party is about to start."
"It's seven already? Last time I checked, it was still six!" Tooth exclaimed, and went back into the room.
"Well, let's go find Jack."

Knock, knock, knock.
"Jack? Are you almost done?" They waited for a reply, and after a couple of minutes, Jack answered.
"Yeah. Almost."
"Almost?"
"I don't wanna come out."
"Why not Frostbite?" North and Bunny gave each other a look.
"...I'm nervous..."
"You're nervous? You? Unbelievable!" Bunny almost laughed. Why was he so nervous about, anyways?
"Yeah. I am."
"Why are you, Jack?" North asked. No reply came from the door.
"...No reason. I'll be out in a minute." Bunny shrugged.
"Alright. Just come to the main room when you're ready."
When North and Bunny began walking back, Bunny realized why Jack was nervous.
"North. I know why Frostbite wouldn't come out."
"Da. He was nervous."
"I know that. But he was nervous about Barbie." North thought for a moment.
"Da. You could be right."
"It's hard to believe how much they deny it."
"Deny what?"
"The obviously love each other. They wont admit it."
"Tonight I hope they'll realize it."
"Yeah. It'll annoy Pitch to no end."
"Speaking of him. Is he going to be here?"
"Barbie said he wasn't. But I bet he'll be hiding somewhere."
"Pitch needs to let her grow up, da."
"I know. But, if it was me, I would be the same way." North nodded again.
"Da. That's true."

"How do I look?" Elizabeth asked, her back turned to the mirror. Tooth gasped.
"You look beautiful!" 'You look so much like your mother...'
"Really?"
"Look for yourself!"
Elizabeth hesitantly turned around with her eyes closed. When she opened them, however, she only saw a stranger. 'Wait,' She thought. 'It's...me.' Elizabeth smiled softly. She never thought she was pretty, but tonight, Elizabeth thought she did look good. Elizabeth thought that she looked flawless.
"I-I don't know how to thank you." Elizabeth said as she kept looking in the mirror. Tooth smiled even wider.
"Don't worry. Now. We should be going down, right?" Tooth held out her hand for Elizabeth to take. When she did, Tooth began excitedly dragging her.
"Where are we going?"
"To find Jack!"
"What?! Now?"
"Don't worry! You look great! Please do it for me?"
"...Fine.." Great.

Jack sighed. He couldn't find Bunny, North or Sandy anywhere. The black suit he was in was uncomfortable. At least he wasn't wearing shoes.
"Oi! Frostbite!" Jack whipped around to see Bunny, and North. Sandy appeared a few seconds later.
"I've been looking for you everywhere! Where have you been?!" The winter spirit asked.
"Talkin'."
"Hm."
"Jack!" Jack turned as he heard Tooth and froze in his place. There was a gorgeous girl standing next to Tooth. After a couple of seconds he realized it was Elizabeth.
Elizabeth was wearing a strapless dress that went to the floor, covering her cast. It was a corset top dress, but was poofed out at the waist down. The whole thing was black, but the corset to was more of a glittery black. Her face looked flawless. She had on light makeup to cover the light pink scar on her cheek, and mascara that made her eyes pop out more than anything. Her hair was in elegant curls. Her bangs, however, were more straight. He could tell there was glitter in her hair, also. Al together, she looked stunning.
"Whoa..." The other four smiled.
"Well! See you two later!" Tooth said and flew away, the others behind her.
"'Beth...You look..." She listened intently for his reaction, "You look gorgeous..." She blushed.
"T-Thank you...You look good too..." Moon, why was she so nervous? Jack smiled shyly, which is very out of character for him.
"So. What do you wanna do?" Jack asked.
"I-I don't know. You choose."
"No, no, you pick."
They somehow got themselves in a playful argument one who was picking what they were doing. At the end, they were laughing. Then the lights dimmed and a slow song started to play.
There I was again tonight forcing laughter, faking smiles
Same old tired, lonely place, walls of insincerity
Shifting eyes and vacancy vanished when I saw your face

Jack smiled. Gently he took her hand in his, and she put her other hand on his shoulder and finally Jack put his other hand on her back. They started to sway slowly.
Your eyes whispered, "Have we met?"
Across the room your silhouette starts to make its way to me
The playful conversation starts

"Hey 'Beth?" Jack asked.
"Yes?"
"You are very, very pretty." She blushed and muttered a thanks.

"It's true. Don't you forget it." He joked. She looked down at her covered feet, blushing some more.
The lingering question kept me up, 2 a.m., who do you love?

Jack was ready. He waiting until the next chorus started, and when it did, he twirled her.

Elizabeth laughed, her hair was thrown in the air.

Jack has never heard this song before, but oddly enough he knew the rest of the song. The word just came to him as he was taking it to his advantage. As soon as it began, Jack sang along with the singer, but looking deep into Elizabeth's eyes.

Elizabeth was shocked.
"W-What...?" She couldn't say anything. Jack smiled and dragged her out to the balcony.

"Jack? What are you doing?" It was a beautiful night. Manny was shining over the two, as if he was agreeing with them being together.
Four...
"Don't worry." Jack began, but he looked doubtful. Suddenly he wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her close to him.
Three...
"J-Jack?" Jack leaned to were his mouth was over her ear.
Two...
"Please don't hate me." She was confused.
One.
"Why would I-!" She felt something cold but soft press against her lips. She heard fireworks go off.
Jack frost was kissing her.

Jeez. Jack finally kissed her. The song was "Enchanted(cover)" By Owl City. At the end I changed it to instead of Taylor(Swift) It was Jack singing to Elizabeth. So, yeah. I'm proud of this chapter.
