Chapter 25: A slave's love

"Kaoru, Kaoru are you alright? Kaoru my love please talk to me" Battousai screamed. He saw Kaoru fall in to the ground and quickly he caught her in his arms. He had tried so many times to call her name but she didn't respond. Something bad had happened to her and he was going to find out. Here was Battousai the powerful and cruel King of vampires crying like a small child because of a woman. But Kaoru was not just a woman for him. She was the love of his life and he wasn`t going to let her go.

"Kaoru please come back, come back to me . Kaoru even in death I will not let you go. I will not let you die. Guards! Go and bring the physicians now" he ordered and carried Kaoru in his arms and went towards to her room. Meanwhile behind the walls of the palace Takani Megumi was watching the scene with triumph and animalistic pleasure. Her eyes were dark and evil and she was smirking. Finally the bitch would get what she deserved. Kaoru would die and then she would become Battousai`s wife. Suddenly she heard the guards approaching the room and left before she was caught. Tonight it was her victory towards her worst enemy. She had done the same, many years ago when she had killed a slave who belonged to Battousai. Her name was Nazara and she looked exactly like Kaoru. She had become Battousai`s favorite concubine and his pet because she looked exactly like Her. The bitch who hunted his dreams and had captured his heart.

Nazara fell also in love with Battousai. She knew that he loved Kaoru a and that she looked exactly like her but she didn't care. Megumi hd warned her that Battousai was using her body for sexual release but she didn`t care. She only craved for Battousai`s touch and attention even though she knew that she was just a substitute.

Megumi watched Nazara slowly to win Battousai`s interest. Even though she knew that Battousai didn`t love Nazara and that his heart belonged to Kaoru , for the first time Megumi saw him smiling and being happy. It was obvious to her that Kaoru and Nazara weren't the same only in the appearance but also they had the same soul. Battousai was lured with Nazara`s blue eyes and her melodic voice. He spent the days and the nights with her. He was happy for the first time in his life. He still hadn't found Kaoru but he had promised to himself that once he found her he would let Nazara free. He didn't want to hurt her. He was using her every day and he had mae her a toy under his commands but he didn't care. She had told him that she loved him and that she wanted to be with him as long as he wanted. She had also told him that she understood his feelings for Kaoru and that she felt blessed that she looked exactly like Her.(Kaoru)

"The gods have given me great fortune my Lord since now I am in your arms. I can die now peacefully if you want. You are my love and I know that inside your heart you have a good side too. I hope that Kaoru will manage to see the love you have for her.." she had told him one night after they made love.

But they hadn't noticed a shadow watching them from afar. Megumi Takani had heard Nazara`s words and an evil smile appeared in her lips.

"I am afraid little Nazara that the time for you has finally come. Don`t worry because your prayers will come true and you will die tonight. The gods will not be merciful with you today my dear. You are a danger to me and your resemblance with her is a curse and it will bring your demise. How I should kill you? Maybe I will poison you or I will stab you until your last breathe? And then I will go and find that little bitch Kaoru and I will kill her. Battousai doesn`t know that I have already found her. Kamiya Kaoru I will kill you but first you will suffer in my hands….

The next day Megumi kidnapped and killed Nazara and that left Battousai devastated. He had become cruel again. But his love for Kaoru hadn`t disappeared as Megumi hoped but instead his love for her had become an obsession and he was determined to find her at any cost. Megumi couldn't believe her own luck when Batousai had ordered her to go to Kaoru`s village and be friends with her. Nazara was dead and now he needed Kaoru. He had gone mad and had attacked many women. He had also threatened Megumi if she dared to defy his orders. Megumi had no other choice but to obey and go to Kaoru`s village and become friends with her. She had to delay her plans for a while She had to wait for a while until she managed to grab Kaoru and kill her.

And finally that day had come and now Kaoru was between the world of the living and the world of the dead. She was lost in her thoughts when she heared the guards` voices and an old man's voice who was asking where Kaoru was. Megumi realized that this man was Battousai`s physician and he was ordered to go to Kaoru.

"Battousai no matter how hard you try this time Kaoru will not be saved She will follow Nazara`s fate and to her demise. I am the only one for you now.. Kaoru tonight you will meet your creator… and then Battousai will be mine…

Megumi is really a dangerous enemy. For her love she is able to kill everyone and destroy everything. First she killed Nazara and now Kaoru Her hatred for Kaoru becomes stronger and stronger. What is going to happen from now on? Will she manage to kill Kaoru ? And what Battousai wil do? What really happened to Nazara? You will have to wait until next chapter.
