Her heart sinks, her eyes fluttering madly in a poor attempt to keep the tears from spilling. How could he? He promised! Her body heaves with her sobs, her heart shattering with no chance of fixing it.

Lisanna looks pitifully at the blonde, walking slowly towards her, afraid if she launched at Lucy she would cower and run.

"Lucy" Lisanna opens her arms offering her an embrace

"He promised he'd be here... He pinky swore and everything"

"Shh Lucy, he'll show. He's Natsu he's going to show"

Letting go, she eyes Lucy's face, fixing any running make up and making sure she looked as stunning as ever.

Two months, it has been two months since Lisanna had found out what happened between the two and surprisingly she wasn't even mad. Lucy had pleaded with her to at least hit her or something but Lisanna just didn't have the heart. After all Lucy was the one who had showed up a right mess to tell the girl what had occurred.

Lisanna found Lucy's honesty refreshing, considering most girls wouldn't come forward and say that they had secretly hooked up with someone's boyfriend.

But Lucy did, and therefore Lisanna couldn't bare to be even slightly mad at the girl.

Right now, on the night of Lucy's Eighteenth birthday every single guild member was feeling the pain and heartbreak that the poor girl was experiencing.

"Lisanna?"

"Yes Lucy?"

"Can we go? I don't wanna be here, grab the girls and we'll have a night in?" Lucy's brown orbs were practically begging

"Yup sure, we'll head to Fairy Hills" Lisanna takes her hand leading her around and gathering the other girls, who each in turn hugged Lucy before leaving.

"Thanks for the party Gramps" She say quietly to Makarov on her way past

"Anything for you my child"

"I'll kill him Lucy, swear it" Gray hugs her, Juvia feeling the intensity of the situation didn't open her mouth about 'love rivals'

The girls all exit the guild, each with their head hung low as if they were heading to the gallows.

"Lucy!" A voice echoes from down the street

Shrugging it off she continues chatting to Cana, as the brunette attempted to cheer her up.

"LUCE!"

Okay, judging by the fact that every girl turned towards the sound meant that there actually was someone calling her name. Turning she got a face full of blue fur as Happy clung to her face, crying happy birthday to her.

"What? Happy?" She peels the cat from her face

"We're here, we made it" He says happily

"Luce, shit I'm so sorry I got stuck on the train and had to ride it twice." Natsu grins softly at her

"Oh really?"

"Yup it was so funny" Happy chirps in

"Where are you girls going anyway? Isn't there a party at the guild?"

This time Erza steps forward

"You were late, we left because Lucy was upset."

Natsu shrinks back, before turning his attention to Lucy

"I'm sorry Luce, I really am" His eyes were pleading

"Yeah well you're just lucky I didn't tell Loke or he would be out here kicking your arse"

"Heck yeah! Back to the guild mah bitches!" Cana shouts happily leading the way

Natsu entertwines his fingers with Lucy's as they make their way back to the guild. He softly kisses her forehead

"To make up for all of this I swear as my present to you I won't sneak in tonight" He whispers in her ear

"But tonight you need to sneak in, I have a surprise for you" She grins mischeiviously

"C'mon you two or there'll be no alcohol left!" Cana yells

Causing everyone to laugh at the guild's resident drunkard.
