Chapter 25: The Unraveling
Lightning flashed
"Br-Bruce?", Kida stared down at the sleeping man beside her.
She could feel her heart starting to beat rapidly. It wasn't that she didn't remember what happened a few hours ago, it was just too unbelievable. Kida suddenly felt light-headed in which she placed her right hand upon her head. Not only that but her body felt weak as well; was this the effect Bruce Wayne left? Shaking her head she looked around her room, noticing all the damage that was caused by their fight; so much debris. Kida looked back down at Bruce and started to slowly move from underneath his arm to her left. After a minute of scooting, stopping and more scooting, she was free, throwing both her legs over the side of the bed. The first step on the floor was the lightest as she stood herself up from the bed.
"Where's my robe?", she looked around her and whispered.
It suddenly dawned on her that it was in the kitchen after being thrown in there. She then tip-toed around the bed and out of the room, making her way to the living room. Suddenly something started to vibrate next to her left foot which startled her. Kida held her chest, heart beating fast as she looked down to see her phone going off; Sierra's contact picture was flashing as well.
"Damn it.", she was frustrated as she snatched the phone up and turned to look back at the bedroom; Bruce's body didn't flinch.
Kida made her way a little further into the living room, stepping over broken wood pieces and glass before she answered the phone.
"Hello?"
"Kida, where are you?"
"I'm home."
"Did you get my text?"
"No. I was uh…busy."
"Well, I'm here at the facility. I have her."
"Good work Sierra, I hope she wasn't too much trouble."
"Yeah, if you say so."
"Are you OK?"
"I'll live, but you need to be on your way now."
Kida leaned on the wall nearest to her, she was still bare, "Give me a few and you'll be seeing me soon enough."
"Why are you whispering?"
"Never-mind that! I'll see you in a few OK. Set everything in place."
"Roger that."
"Bye."
"Bye."
After she hung up the phone, Kida looked under broken pieces of her, once, end table and grabbed 2 pieces of a leather outfit. In a cabinet right above where she stood, she got onto the tips of her toes and reached up to open it retrieving some panties and a bra. It took her less than a minute to throw everything on, including some black stiletto boots. She made her way to the front door, but not before looking back at the entrance of her bedroom.
"I'll deal with him later.", she thought before leaving the building.
Bruce laid on his right side upon the bed alone with his eyes looking into the dark room. He heard the entire conversation that Kida had just now. Thanks to the microchip device he planted on the back of her right ear. He had no choice but to take caution, but what happened a few hours ago felt so right. All of a sudden he realized the seriousness of the situation.
"Shi…Dianna.", he sat up within the bed.
But he had to deal with that later, right now he needed to stop Kida in whatever plans she was scheming, including what just happened between the 2 of them. He reached over the side of the bed he was on and grabbed his slacks looking through the left pocket to retrieve his cell. Bruce dialed the extension of Cyborg's communicator.
"Hello?"
"Cyborg, are you in Tokyo?"
"Yeah, how'd you know?"
"Just a guess. But I have a lead on what's going on. You and Raven meet me at this address pronto."
"Well, Raven and I got split up, I'm not sure where she is. I kept trying her communicator but no answer."
Bruce gritted his teeth, "The her from their conversation."
"Bruce?"
"Never-mind. Get here now and I'll explain to you what I know."
{scene change}
Beastboy looked at Raiden wide-eyed as she sat herself up in the hospital bed.
She shook her head, "Man, that was some jump huh."
The sheets upon her fell to her lap revealing her growing body. To Beastboy's dismay, she hadn't been at the age to having to start her training bra; her breasts had grown to a good 32 D cup. Beastboy blushed nervously as he turned away from her as she stretched her arms up above her head, ripping the little T-shirt even more.
"Hey Uncle BB…", she turned to look at him and noticed he didn't look at her, "What's wrong?"
He became startled by the question, "Uh…nothing. I'm just going to check with the nurse about some extra clothes lying around for you to change into."
Raiden smiled, "Well that's nice of you."
"Yeah…see you.", Beastboy walked over to the room's door.
"Oh!", she said.
"Yeah?"
"Don't forget a bra OK.", she had a carefree smile on her face.
BB blushed more by the mention of the word bra, "Uh…sure kid."
"Thanks!", she waved as he exited the room.
Raiden then turned her attention to the mirror that hung on the wall right across from her bed. She lifted her hands up to examine them.
"Nineteen?", she thought to herself.
Suddenly something entered her thoughts. The intensity on her mind was so great that it caused her eyes to glow white. She saw flashes of Raven being dragged onto a motorcycle and hauled away. Then another of Robin fighting with Aqualad but then jumping off the roof of a hotel building. Flashes of the streets of Tokyo came along with the image of a spherkalite and an unknown face, which happened to be Kida's.
"Ugh…", she let out as the images stopped and her head hung; she took her right hand and placed it on her head.
*knock knock*
Raiden jumped at the knock from her room door, "Y-yes?"
"It's me. Are you decent?", replied Beastboy from the other side of the door.
She smiled softly, "I'm in the same condition you left me in."
"Right.", he said as he opened the door and entered the room.
"I hope they gave you something I'd like."
He narrowed his eyes at her, "In a hospital? Yeah right."
Raiden hunched her shoulders, "Ah well, I guess I have no choice."
Beastboy walked over to her bed and placed the items on it.
She looked over and grabbed the smaller item that sat on top of the pile, "What's this?"
BB blushed, "U-underwear…"
"Oh?", she became surprised.
"Y-yeah. I mean…you asked for a bra…so I figured…(blushing) you'd need…that too…"
She gave him a smile, "That's very thoughtful, it totally slipped my mind."
"No biggie."
Raiden then retrieved the rest of the clothes and looked over all of them. A white muscle shirt, some gray sweat pants, ordinary white bra and the underwear were white as well.
"I guess it's not too bad. But you could've done better."
"What?!", he turned to looked at her annoyed only to catch her smiling at him and winking.
"Just kidding."
He sighed, "You're so annoying."
Suddenly, to his dismay again, Raiden was lifting up the small T-shirt she had on above her head.
Beastboy nearly made it in time as he quickly turned around and didn't see anything, his face was as red as an apple, "What are you doing?!"
Raiden now held the shirt, she had on, in her hands looking at him confused, "What's up with you?"
"Show some modesty kid!"
She pouted, "You know, you're going to have to stop calling me 'kid'. Anyway, why are you so serious all of a sudden?"
"She has no idea.", he thought to himself.
"And why aren't you facing me…", she suddenly stopped her sentence and slyly grinned.
"You ask a lot of questions, you know that."
"Is it because of my boobs?"
The moment he heard boobs, Beastboy nearly fell over causing Raiden to burst out in laughter.
"No it's not!", he turned to her furious, blushing a crimson red.
"Oh really.", she smirked as she returned his glare. "Three, two, one…", she counted in her head.
After 3 seconds of eye contact, Beastboy finally realized that he was facing the topless girl and his eyes, unknowingly, quickly traveled down upon her breasts causing him to turn the other way. You would've thought his fur was dyed red, not seeing his slight nose bleed as well.
"Ha ha! You're such a baby.", Raiden laughed as she finally started to dress herself.
"Hey! I might come off as a ladies' man but…", he sighed as he looked out the hospital's room window, "…I'm a decent and respectful guy."
Raiden looked at him surprised, she never saw this side of him before; so serious and mature. She passed a soft smile across her face as she looked over his; who would've thought.
Beastboy then had a weird feeling of her staring at him causing him to turn to look at her, "What?"
She shook her head, "Nothing."
"Those don't look too bad on you.", BB examined the clothes she wore.
"Really? Thanks.", she blushed.
BB suddenly pulled out his communicator, "I've been trying to reach Robin and Raven ever since we got here. No answer."
All of a sudden Raiden remembered her visions, "Garfield."
"Yeah…", suddenly his ears perked up and his right eyebrow rose, "Garfield?", he thought until he saw the serious look of sadness on Raiden's face as she looked out the window.
"I think…they're in trouble."
"Really?! How do you know?!"
"For some reason I just do. I had a type of vision…"
He cut her off, "Say no more, you are Raven's daughter so you're like…(thinks to self)…ninety-five percent right."
She nodded, "We have to go to Tokyo."
"Tokyo? Well uh…that's a ways."
Suddenly Raiden moved to where they were face to face, causing a startle from BB.
She just smiled, "It's OK, I can fly. Plus…", she moved to whisper in his right ear, "…if I'm with you, I'll be fine."
Beastboy blushed as the girl walked away from him to exit the room and sign her release forms.
"What is going on here?", he thought to himself as he started to smile, "That's Raven's daughter idiot! Do you want to die?!", his thoughts yelled causing his smile to immediately disappear.
"I don't want to die, I don't want to die.", he said as he followed suit to go meet the half-blooded dark princess.
{scene change}
After Robin had descended down from the hotel's rooftop, he managed to hop from roof to roof of nearby buildings. His free-run was quick and well skilled. So many thoughts were going through his mind, even what had happened between him, Aqualad and Starfire. His thoughts scared him a little because, he didn't care if either of them were hurt by his actions or not.
"They deserved it.", he thought.
All he wanted was to get home to Raven and Raiden and leave such foolish people behind. After a few more blocks of being on the rooftops, Robin decided to rest. He sat down at the edge of the right side of the building he was on. He looked up at the night sky, dark clouds were still there but the rain had stopped. A minute had passed, he decided to focus his attention to what laid ahead of him. To his surprise, it was Kida's apartment building. She was such a nice girl, he thought, and it would be great to add her permanently to his circle of friends. But things were so complicated at this point in his life.
He turned his head to the left of him and sighed, "I guess I should let her know that I'm heading back home."
Robin then stood himself up and jumped from the building's roof, making an almost perfect landing on the side of the apartment building. He put both hands into his jeans' pockets and walked around the building to the front door and up the cemented steps.
*knock knock knock*
"Robin?"
He suddenly turned around to see a familiar face, "Cyborg?"
His friend was standing some feet away from the front of the building, until he ran up to Robin giving him a big bear-hug, almost crushing him.
"OK OK…that's enough.", Robin said with the little breath of air he could.
Cyborg then let him go, "Sorry 'bout that man, but it's nice to see you.", he smiled.
Robin returned his smile, "Same here my friend."
"Whoa, have you gotten older?", Cyborg looked him over.
He hunched his shoulders, "Don't know, maybe."
Cyborg nodded in agreement, "Yeah. So uh…what are you doing here?"
"I told you I had to get away."
"No, I mean…at this building."
"Well I…wait, why are you here on this street?"
"To come to this building."
"Huh? Why?"
"Well I was meeting…"
Suddenly the front door to the apartment finally opened up, "It's about time that you've made it. Oh good, you found Dick as well."
Robin was surprised, "B-Bruce…what are you…?"
"Come in boys, I'll explain everything."
{scene change}
Starfire finally stood herself up and rested her back on the side of the hotel where Robin had been staying. Her heart was hurting so bad and she never thought she would experience such a fatal emotion. Humans are so cruel, she thought, but she still loved him; why did she still love him when he didn't return the same feelings back to her? She lifted her head up and looked at the dark clouds in the sky above. Flashes of Robin's smiling face came to her mind. The times they spent together with the team and with each other; their first kiss. Her reminiscing caused her eyes to water again.
"Robin.", she choked out.
Suddenly some rubble fell from the rooftop and landed a few inches in front of her. Starfire looked down at the few pieces of rock and moved from off the building. Some more rubble fell causing her to look up and squint her eyes.
"Oh my…", her eyes widened.
There was a person hanging halfway off the roof. What would happen if they were to fall from that height and not knowing how to fly like she did?
"Excuse me!", she yelled, "Please be careful! You are going to cause yourself much pain!"
No response came from the person above.
"Hello?!"
Sudden silence befell the situation. Starfire had a bad feeling within her as she squinted her eyes once again. In the blink of an eye, she could see the weight of the person's upper body take over as they leaned over the roof's edge, causing the rest of the body to go along with it. Down the body went as Star became anxious and worried; she needed to act fast. She then flew upwards towards the descending individual. After about 7 seconds, she caught the falling victim in her arms and slowly lowered them to the ground.
Starfire looked down to who she held in her arms and became surprised, yet saddened, "Oh…friend Aqualad."
"Mmm…", was all he let out as he barely moved.
"Shh…I will get you to a hospital.", Starfire replied as she carried him in her arms, making her way from around the hotel's building.
"Star…"
She quickly looked down at him, "Yes? I am here."
"Don't…take me…to a hospital."
"What? Why ever not?"
"I have…my sub-jet…at a river…not too far off…go there.", he said with his eyes still closed.
"A-Are you sure?"
"Yes…I can recuperate better…there. Just head…east."
"OK."
Star lifted them up in the air once again and flew in the direction he told her to. She couldn't believe Aqualad was in such a bad condition; did Robin do this? Was their fight really that intense? Her eyes started to water as she passed the city's buildings, heading into a country-side area.
"Robin would never hurt a friend.", were her thoughts until the memory of him striking her across the face flashed in her mind.
Were him and Aqualad not friends anymore? What about her? After another 5 minutes, she came to the river Aqualad had mentioned and she stopped in midair. Star turned to her left and then her right, trying to spot Aqualad's sub-jet.
"There it is.", she said as she finally spotted it resting at the edge of the river, "We are here friend Aqualad."
Star flew over to the water vehicle and slowly landed her feet on the ground a few feet away from where it rested.
"What now?", she asked the half-conscious water boy.
"Just…get in…and hit the golden…button."
Starfire looked at the vehicle with concern, "Will we…both fit?"
"Just do it."
Star walked right up to the sub-jet and, as Aqualad got close, the sensor detected him and immediately opened the cod-pit. She scanned the inside of it quickly before deciding where to place her friend that was in distress. Once she decided, Star placed him right behind the pilot's seat, where the supplies would usually go, but good thing Aqua traveled light on his trip to Tokyo. After placing him carefully into position, Starfire jumped into the pilot's seat and the cod-pit's shield came down over them.
"Gold button…gold button.", she muttered to herself as she looked over the control panel.
As soon as her eyes locked on to the golden button, she didn't hesitate to press it. Once she did, a white mist like substance started to slowly make it's way out of the vehicle's vents. Star started to panic a little, until she felt Aqualad grip her arm slightly as a reassurance.
"It's OK...it's a healing substance...for us Atlantians."
The alien princess nodded her head, indicating that she understood the situation. She watched as he breathed the mist in and it seemed to calm the tension in his body. Would it be alright if she asked him what happened after she abandoned both him and Robin on the roof? But...she wasn't really sure if she wanted to know at all, it might be too painful for her to take. Starfire didn't notice that the sub-jet had submerged under the water until she focused on looking out of the shield that covered them. The water that surrounded them seemed so dark, you could barely see what was in-front or in the back of you. Star decided to turn her attention back to her friend and noticed that he was starting to open his eyes and lift himself up.
"Friend Aqualad?" She moved closer to him, outstretching her arms in-case he needed some support.
"Star...how are you doing?"
Starfire became silent as she contemplated the question he'd just asked her. Why, in the condition that he was in, was he wondering about the way she was feeling? She knew that he was referring to the encounter with Robin and she didn't really know how to respond to it. Everything that she thought she knew and was so sure of, was thrown out the window. It didn't really dawn on her until the question was asked..."How am I doing?"; she thought it over and over again. So many thoughts suddenly clouded her mind and she didn't know where to begin or if she should tell Aqualad how she truly felt. In all honesty...she felt some hatred towards Robin, but still loved him at the same time. She also felt hatred for Raven because she was the one who snatched Robin's heart; not to mention little Raiden as well who brought the two together.
Starfire became fearful at these feelings of hers because she never liked to think negative of anyone, especially those close to her. She suddenly felt the tips of someone's fingers brush across her right cheek; looking up she saw Aqualad's saddened face that matched the way she was feeling.
"It's OK..." Star didn't even realize that she had started crying, but those words from him made her even more aware of the way she felt.
"I am a horrible individual..." she choked out.
"No you're not."
"If I am not...then why do I feel so much for hate for them..."
"It's called being human. But, what goes around comes around."
"Is it OK to think that way?"
"In the state we're in, it's common." Aqualad leaned back in the area he was situated in.
"B-but...I still...love him..." Starfire placed her head in her hands.
"And I her..." Aqua said underneath his breath.
"I-I want to forget..."
Aqualad sat himself up once again as the last of the mist vanished back into the vents of his water vehicle. He removed the top of his uniform and looked through some of the few things he brought to replace it with a new one, "Easier said than done."
Star lifted her head to look back up at him as something came to mind, "Friend Aqualad..."
"Huh?" He turned his attention to her as he held the new top in his right hand, the girl had tears in her eyes as she looked at him.
"Please...help me to forget..."
Aqua sighed as he looked at his friend who was hurting a lot more than he was, "I would love to Star, but...I don't know what I can do."
All of a sudden he was caught in an embrace by the girl and it got cramped within the sub-jet. Star happened to be a lot heavier than he would imagine her to be as she laid on-top of him with the spot he sat in. He could feel her tears hitting down on his left shoulder and he returned her hug; it was the only comfort he could provide for her.
"You want to forget friend Raven too, correct?" Star softly choked out in his left ear.
The young man sighed to himself as he thought about her question to him. Did he really want to forget about Raven? It would definitely be easier on him if he did, he was a guy after-all and he could probably move on faster than Star could. But he loved the way Raven made him felt and the type of person he became when he was around her. Would it really be that easy to let her go, especially to a guy like Robin? The thought of the Titans' leader being with the woman that brought him the most happiness in this corrupt world, aggravated him to a point of being pissed off. Having such negative thoughts brought some strain on his heart and he didn't like feeling that way at all.
Without realizing, his grip around Star had strengthened as he gritted his teeth, though Star didn't really notice the change in his grasp.
"Star...", the only thing she did was nod as a reply, "...I think you're right." His statement caused the girl to lift herself up and look at the young man within his eyes which seemed to be filled with tears that he was holding back. "It's not like those bastards give a damn about us anyway..."
It ached Star's heart to hear him say that and realizing that it might be true as she closed her eyes and rested her forehead on his', "We should forget..."
"Maybe there is a way..."
Starfire lifted her head up slowly and looked down at him, "There is..?"
All of sudden Aqualad had cupped Star's right cheek within his left hand and brushed the few pieces of hair from upon it; he brought his face closer to hers, "Star...help me to forget..." he said softly.
She could feel the breath of each word he spoke against her lips and it caused a sort of weakness within her, "We forget...together..."
Starfire's eyes slowly closed as she drew her face closer to his until she felt the soft touch of his lips upon hers. They pecked each-others lips several times before throwing themselves into passionate kisses. Aqualad finally drop the top that he had held in his right hand in-order to get a better grip around the girl on-top of him. He had his right arm wrapped around her waist while he moved his left hand to grasp the back of her head. There was no need for either of them to catch their breaths from their constant lip-lock, since they were both experienced in not needing too much oxygen to survive.
Star was straddled on-top of him now as he lifted them upright and she ran her fingers through his long black shiny hair. The behavior of each of them towards the other seemed so aggressive as if they were competing for a goal as the temperature within the both of them started to sky-rocket. Throughout their tongue-wrestling, they could taste the salt from the others' tears that traveled down their faces. Aqualad could feel himself getting excited as Star pushed harder down upon his lap, so he pushed her back to where she was up against the back of the pilot's seat. She wrapped her legs around his waist as he broke their kiss and moved his lips to the right side of her neck.
Aqua grabbed each one of her thighs with both of his hands at the sound of her slight moans she let out from his nibbling on her collarbone. He didn't hesitate to massage them as Star dropped her right hand to grasp his muscular left arm.
"Help me forget..." She moaned.
Suddenly there was a sudden thrust of the vehicle that caused the two to stumble out of their positions and put their little charade to a halt. "W-what was that?" Star asked a bit surprised.
Aqualad moved from around her and sat in the pilot's seat as he pressed a few buttons here and there, "There seemed to be some kind of sonic wave."
"A sonic wave? But...from where?"
As soon as she posed the question, something came up on his scanner along with a few coordinates, "Seems to be coming from some type of building, but..." He pressed a few keys on his keyboard.
"But...?"
"This doesn't really make any sense...it's not on the surface. The scanner says it's residing underwater."
"Should we go and check it out?" Star sat in the area behind the pilot's seat.
"Yeah...I guess it couldn't hurt." He replied as he strapped himself in the pilot's seat and hit some other buttons to start the vehicle up.
Silence came over the two of them and Aqualad quickly looked within the rear-view mirror to see Starfire looking out the shield. He sighed as he thought, "What the hell was that just now?" Feeling something a bit off with him, Aqualad looked down at himself and saw his erection which made him want to shoot himself, "Damn it!"
Star looked out the shield and pondered over the same matter Aqualad was thinking over, what exactly were they just doing? Robin could never know what happened...though it could be just the thing she needed to make him jealous. She looked herself over and fixed her uniform, but she doubted that he would even care about this predicament. Though now the atmosphere between her and Aqualad had changed drastically; it bothered her a great deal but she didn't want to talk about it at the moment. Hopefully the place they were headed to, would take their minds off the sudden awkwardness and tension between them.
{scene change}
Cyborg and Robin stood against one of the walls within the living room of the apartment they entered about fifteen minutes ago. Both were trying to comprehend the information that Bruce Wayne had just fed to them.
"So..." Robin looked at the surroundings that seemed to hold a story of a battle that went on. "...Kida's not who she claims to be?"
Bruce had his arms crossed over his chest, "I didn't exactly say that, but she is the one behind those things around the globe."
"And Sierra is her accomplice?" Cyborg chuckled feeling so stupid.
"T-that can't be, I mean I was just with Kida earlier today and..."
Bruce cut Robin's sentence short, "Get a grip Dick, I've been knowing Kida for years and she's not some absent-minded rookie. The girl is very intelligent and doesn't do anything without an objective, whether it's in her personal life or apart from it."
"About that...if you know her so well and came here to set her straight. How in the world did you let her get away? I mean, didn't you arrive here several hours prior to calling this little meeting." Cyborg put his right index finger to his chin as he looked up, thinking aloud.
Bruce's right eye twitched, "That's beside the point."
Cyborg then glanced at a room down the joining hall and noticed the door was opened to reveal an unmade bed, "Did y'all take the fight to the bedroom by any chance?"
Robin narrowed his eyes at his mentor, "Bruce...you didn't."
"Life can be very complicated Dick, when you grow up you'll know exactly what that means. Now let's get back to the more important issue shall we; you said you know Kida correct, when did the two of you meet?"
Robin hunched his shoulders, "Sometime last week I guess. It wasn't too long after I got here in Tokyo."
"How often did you come into contact with her?"
"Every now and then. It was never a every day kind of thing."
"Did she ever do anything out of the ordinary whenever you were around her?"
"Not really, I mean sure there was this one time when she guessed my real eye color and when I thought I heard her call me by my real name..."
"Did you reveal your identity to her?!" Cyborg jumped in.
"No. I just misheard her." Robin rubbed the back of his head.
"You didn't mishear her Robin. I believe she does know, in-fact, who you are and who you will become in the future." Bruce grasped the man's attention again.
"Yeah right, how's that possible?"
"Let me ask this, how would you define your relationship with Kida?"
"Just good friends."
"So you haven't gotten intimate with her?" Bruce raised his right eyebrow.
Robin folded his arms across his chest, "Not everyone's like you Bruce." His statement caused Cyborg to let out a cough of shock before turning his attention elsewhere so as to not make eye contact with Gotham's vigilante.
Bruce sighed as he closed his eyes, "I believe that she's targeting you Dick."
"Me? For what reason, I just met her."
"When she lived at the mansion many years back, she used to tell me her life-story about her parents and how she became an orphan. Kida's step mother didn't want anything to do with her and her father had disappeared in an accident. It had something to do with her birth mother and the powers that Kida has resting inside of her."
"Powers?" Cyborg asked.
Bruce nodded, "Yes. Apparently she carries the same type of powers as your Raven."
Robin's eyes widened, "As...R-Raven? Does she come from the same place Raven comes from?"
"I doubt it, since she was born here. Her mother, on the other hand, I believe to be from the same exact place Raven is from."
"But that still doesn't explain why she would be targeting me."
"Well to my knowledge, you were there the night of the accident."
"There's no way, how many years ago was that?" Robin paced back and forth within the room.
"The you that you'll end up becoming. Nightwing."
"Nightwing? But isn't that more so of the future Robin? Why would he have been to a place in the past?" Cyborg chimed in.
"Kida mentioned that he traveled from the future to do some quick business but didn't expect to run into her dilemma in the process. He was there with her father the day of the accident that changed her life forever. She could be trying to blame Nightwing, or you for the way her life turned out to be."
"That's crazy! I wouldn't even know anything that happened then! I'm Robin, not Nightwing yet, what the hell." The Titans' leader ran his fingers through his long hair as he sighed.
"If you look in the mirror now, you don't look like Robin at all, but that of your older persona. Then again, you might not be her only motive...she holds a vendetta against me, so I'm sure I'm at the top of her list."
Robin smirked, "You sure about that?"
"Positive Dick. Whatever happened between us a few hours ago will not stop her from accomplishing her objective."
"That sounds all too familiar." Robin sighed as he thought about Raven's actions toward him.
"By the way, I've been meaning to ask. Why in the hell do you look ten years older than what you really are?" Bruce pulled out what looked to be a communicator.
"We're not exactly sure, but we've gotten used to it. Though it's not only him, but Raven and Raiden too who seems to change in age." Cyborg answered the question.
"And no one else?" Bruce hit a red button at the bottom of the device.
"Nope. But this didn't start happening until the kid showed up." Cyborg yawned.
"OK, got it."
"What?" Robin approached the man's right side.
"I put a tracker on Kida and it seems that she's a good bit of miles away from this location. Let's head out now."
"Got it. Cyborg, can you get a hold of...R-Raven and give her the coordinates?"
Before Cyborg could answer Bruce cut in, "He hasn't been in contact with Raven for sometime now. Kida had her accomplice to capture her and bring her to wherever these coordinates are taking us."
It was like Robin's mind went blank after letting the words of Bruce pass through one ear and out the other. Raven had been captured? His Rachel had been captured by someone that he thought he could trust. Robin saw Bruce give them the motion to follow him out of the apartment and head to their new mission. Though he couldn't hear the words being spoken to him, he understood what was being said. She couldn't be in any real danger right? Kida wouldn't harm an innocent individual would she? But from what Bruce just told them, the woman had a knack for planning things and being sneaky. Why hadn't he decided to go back home sooner, why did everything he do come with the consequences from hell.
"Yo Robin?!" Cyborg yelled at his friend as he opened the driver's side door to the T-car.
"Yeah?" Robin walked around to the passenger side as Bruce disappeared into the shadows to retrieve the Bat-mobile.
"Try calling Star for back up. She has the jet and I think we need to check up on her as well. Her and Raven had a falling out."
"Can't do that." Robin got in the car and shut the door behind him.
"Why not?" Cy situated himself in as well.
"I already dealt with both Aqualad and Starfire moments ago."
Cyborg narrowed his eyes at him, "What do you mean dealt with them already?"
Robin then spotted Bruce's bat-mobile zoom off in-front of them, "We'll discuss it later, let's go, Bruce doesn't like to waste time."
"You all really do have some issues, you know that." Cyborg shook his head as he shift into drive and took off right behind Bruce.

Bruce rode in silence as he let the wheels in his head turn to try to decipher the actual objective that Kida had. There's was no doubt in his mind, however, that it had to deal with him and Robin, Nightwing, rather. But how did she know that Dick would turn out to be the man that she met as a child so many years ago? Only a few people knew of future events and outcomes...did her powers help her to achieve that goal as well? If it was only dealing with him, then he could handle the situation alone without the Titans, but she's dragged Raven into it. What did she need from Raven? Was she just bait to lure Robin in, or was she after something more logical and to her benefit?
There was something else that didn't sit well with Bruce, the aging process that Robin was going through. Cyborg said that it didn't start to happen until Raiden showed up to their residence. That seemed a bit too odd and strange to him, and around the same time, those mechanisms started to sprout out around the world. Not only that, but the presence of the girl had thrown both Raven and Robin off their game and to a whirlpool of chaos between everyone. Something just didn't sit right with him when it came to Raiden and he was hoping that it wasn't what he was thinking that it was.
{scene change}
Raven's body felt weak and cold as she hung from some chains that were wrapped around both of her wrists; her cloak seemed to be missing. She slowly opened her eyes and looked at the ground below her as her head hung low, but they soon widened as she examined what she was looking at. It was the same symbol that she'd see when it came to her father; it caused her to quickly lift up her head and check her surroundings. The place she was in seemed to be dimly lit and darkened without a soul to be seen. Feeling that she could kick her legs back and forth made her realize that she probably hung from a pretty good height. No problem though, she would just use her powers to break the chains and get out of her current predicament.
Her eyes started to glow as she surrounded the chains with her dark power, but when she willed for them to break, nothing happened. Maybe she was still a bit weak from her previous fight, so she closed her eyes and did a fairly short meditation to regain some strength. After-wards, she decided to try the action once again, but the end result became the same. What was going on?
"Oh, sorry but, that won't work."
Raven looked into the dimly lit room towards the direction of where the voice came from, "Who's there?"
All of a sudden she saw movement coming from directly in-front of her position. Then there was a figure that appeared, a woman, who walked towards her direction that wore a black leotard. It seemed that she wore some sheer black tights underneath as the top of the leotard was cut off right above her breasts, no sleeves, no choker. Upon her feet were a pair of black, six-inch heeled, knee-high boots that seemed to be button up on the outer thigh area. Black silk gloves were upon each of her hands as she rested the left one on her left hip as the right one swung back and forth when she walked. Dark brown wavy hair that seemed to hang down the middle of her back and her eyes seemed to glow gold in color, the same sort of glow Raven had when she used her powers.
"W-who are you, one of my father's minions?" Raven narrowed her eyes at her.
The woman laughed as she finally approached her captive, at this time her eyes stopped glowing and revealed a pair of hazel colored irises, "You're father? Please don't insult your dear cousin like that."
Raven became surprised, "C-cousin? I have no living relatives, and from the ones I knew, I certainly don't remember you."
The woman sighed as she chuckled and hunched her shoulders, "Well, I was kind of an outcast from the rest of my brethren you see."
Raven wasn't going to buy her story as she narrowed her eyes at her again, "I don't believe you."
"Ouch little Raven, I'm sure Auntie Arella would be heartbroken to hear you talk to her sister's daughter like that." The woman playfully pouted.
By the address of that name, Raven became surprised, "What do you know about Arella?"
"You mean you're mother? Hehe. I'm sure you know her sister right."
"She never had a sister." Raven hissed at her.
The woman looked at Raven slyly as she smirked, "Really?"
Raven wanted to stick to her own line of thinking until she realized a bit of information from the history of her birth place that she tended to forget. There was made mention of a relative of her mother's, yet barely spoken of because of her rebellion against their people and being forced into was that individual's name? The one who constantly brought woe to the leaders and pains of the heart to her mother. Come to think of it, there were several times when her mother made references towards that person to teach Raven a lesson or two. She would always say not to lose yourself like...or so and so would've accomplished this or that...what was it that Arella would tell...?
Raven's eyes widened, "Sephora..."
"There you go, hit it right on the nail."
"You're the daughter of Sephora? B-but that can't be. Records show that she disappeared many years ago and there wasn't anything about her having any heirs."
"Yeah well, my father had custody over me. I never knew about my real mother until I was the sweet age of eleven." The woman raised her right hand as she looked at it and caused a golden aura of power to emerge from the palm.
Raven remembered reading that Sephora was a rebel and a bit unstable with her powers, not to mention that her glow was different than those of her people. Gold was a symbol of instability amongst them, but it also signified a great deal of strength that couldn't be matched. If this woman was really the offspring of such an individual, she could definitely be a threat against their team.
"What do you want?"
"Me? Well I just want what every woman wants at this stage in her life; a happy ending, someone to relate to, a satisfied vendetta..."
"What does any of that have to do with me?" Raven gritted her teeth.
"Nothing much, but I do feel that we can relate to one another. I mean, we both loved a vigilante and was kicked to the curve on several occasions, having the last pieces of our hearts shattered vigorously. My objective might not really have anything to do with you, but I'm more than sure that you'll benefit from the outcome as well."
"I don't know who you think you're relating yourself to, but there's no way I'm the same type of person as you. Relative or not." Raven spat at her.
"Did I mention I ran into Robin here in Tokyo?" Raven's facial expression changed as she became silent. "Oh nothing to say to that? Or maybe it'll be easier for you to understand if I called him Richard Grayson."
"I seriously doubt you just ran into him."
"Ah you are as clever as you look and correct once again. To think, meeting the younger version of your childhood hero, with the same background as you. It's amazing if I do say so myself, with him losing his parents and becoming an orphan as well. Not to mention the funny ordeal of being taken in by the same rich and successful bachelor of Gotham City. Anyone would agree that the both of us would be a match made in heaven, don't you think?"
"Spare me the crap."
The woman laughed, "Aren't you the feisty one! I can see the attraction between the two of you...even though it's artificial."
"A-artificial? You got a lot of nerve." Raven could feel herself becoming furious as her eyes started to glow white.
"I'd watch that temper of yours if I were you. Those chains can be a pain in the ass to the touch of massive power." She looked at her nails as she turned away from Raven.
"Where do you think you're going?" The dark titan was attempting to use a lot of her power to escape right then and there until the chains around her wrists glowed a golden color, tightening and then giving her a huge electrical shock that caused her to groan in pain. Once the shock was over, Raven felt like the power that she just tried to use, was drained away from her and it left her body weak.
The woman turned around as she folded her arms over her chest, "Sorry but I have a date with a bat and little robin. Oh and I guessed I lied when I said this really didn't have anything to do with you but there was one thing I left out." She started to levitate and glided over to where Raven hung while she had a sly grin across her face; she moved her face close to Raven's and beside her left ear, "I might need to take some of your power to accomplish the big finale at the end of all this."
Raven watched her as she flew away from her, "W-who are you?"
The woman stopped in midair and turned her head to answer her captive, "Rile, Kida Rile."
