I wake up at the break of dawn, a feeling of uneasiness forms knots in my stomach. 'Brightshadow?!' I think as I hear a faint howl far from here. Without waking anyone, I head to the fossil center's cleaning room. I bring out several strange fossil rocks, two being miraculous fossil rocks, and three wondrous fossil rocks. I begin to clean the first wondrous fossil rock that Rosie gave me after waking up to biting Joe's hand. I put on my custom made drill gloves that I've had since Vivosaur. Each claw on my paws fits into the grooves of the mini drills. A click signals that the gloves are activated. I carefully press the drills onto the smooth surface of the rock, and find that it is very fragile. I press the X-ray button with my tail, seeing inside of the rock. It is shaped like that of a brachiosaurus head, but it is made from silver. I finally finish the cleaning, and clear the area of dust. KL-33N hovers over to me, most likely to tell me what to do with the fossil.
"Master Brightclaw, you can use this super fossil to super revive a vivosaur." KL-33N beeps.
"I know who to use this on." I bark, walking over to the revival chamber. I place Tsunami's Dino Medal in the large cylinder chamber beside the silver fossil. I can hear his voice asking me why I am giving him the fossil. "Tsunami, I started this adventure with you. It only makes sense that I would give this to you." I bark., closing the chamber. "Even my first team agrees with me on this, and encourages me that it should be your team that takes down this threat." I bark, pressing the button to revive. The revival process starts the same with the chamber filling with fog, but silver sparks illuminates the chamber. In a few moments, Tsunami steps out of the chamber. His appearance has changed in the coloring of his scales, but I can feel the overwhelming power that lies within the sauropod. Tsunami's once pearl colored scales are now a very faint bluish gray, while the pearls on his body are now purple. The yellow scales that were around his legs and tail are a lighter shade of purple, and the scales on the bottom of his neck to his tail and legs are now a pale green. Tsunami's eyes are now orange that shine with determination. "How do you feel?" I ask.
"I feel as if I can take on Comet and Rupert's team." Tsunami growls, his voice still the same.
"At least your personality didn't change." I bark. Tsunami shrinks down and waits by the door. I head back over to the cleaning station, and begin to work on one of the miraculous rocks. This one is far more fragile than the last, and I about cause damage to the fossil within. I finish cleaning the fossil and let out a sigh of relief as it is at 100 points. The fossil is a T-Rex head made of gold, yet I can already sense the immense power as my claws glow brighter just by being near the fossil. "These fossils must have been powered by the energy from all three guardians after they had lost all their energy." I bark. I walk over to the chamber and place Typhoon's medal into the chamber. A similar phenomenon occurs to the revival chamber, but with golden sparks. When the light and fog dies down, Typhoon steps out of the chamber in a completely different form. Typhoon has a wyvern-like body with a long slender tail that ends in a fan-like shape. Her body is mostly covered in light and dark green scales, while some areas have white fur or feathers. I stand in awe at my newly revived vivosaur.
"What do you think of me now, Brightclaw?" Typhoon asks.
Before I could even answer, a flash of red shoots out of my collar. Blaze's pterasaur, Phoenix, hovers above my head at full size. Blocking my thoughts from my other vivosaurs, I realize how some of Skypaw's came into being. 'Well that answers one of my questions.' I think as I walk over to the dragonic vivosaur. "You look amazing, Typhoon." I bark, holding my paw out as I catch her medal. Super evolving must have drained Typhoon of her energy for such a transformation. I head back to the cleaning station once more, and clean the next miraculous fossil rock. Once I finish, I head over to the revival chamber and place Ace's medal in. The same process occurs, and Ace steps out in his new form. He looks somewhat like Godzilla, but with two large earth colored horns protruding from the back of his head. His arms have become well-developed to deliver mighty blows, and a large crystal spikes out from each elbow. Two sharp red claws at the end of each hand/paw. His coloration has completely changed in every single way. His claws are all red, as well as his eyes. His body covered in the same colored crystals as his horns. His belly is that of a alligator, but the scales are a dark sandy color. His main scales are black. Ace's snout has also become that of like a canine, making it easier to open his mouth wider for his newest attacks. "This was the right choice." I bark, feeling the power from within my vivosaur from far away.
"We will stop the BB Brigade at all costs." Ace growls, transforming back into a medal.
The same process is done once again with a silver body fossil intergraded onto Storm. Now his appearance truly matches his name. His body is now mostly black with pale clouds on his legs, gray eyes, and royal blue claws. "Now that is just what we needed." I bark, smiling.
"Yes, now this is a look that I could get used to." Storm growls, pleased with his new form. I have Tsunami and Phoenix transform back once I put Storm's medal into my collar, and head back to the hotel.
I nuzzle Skypaw awake, and have her eat breakfast. I walk over to Firestar and Sandstorm. I prod the two cats with my paw to wake them up. "Firestar, Sandstorm, we need to head to another island. Something is very wrong!" I growl, alarmed by the howl.
"What seems to be the matter, Brightclaw?" Firestar yawns, stretching his body.
"Brightshadow may be in danger! He always contacts me to update the status on the search!" I bark, worried for my brother.
"He is a strong warrior, he can handle anything." Graystripe meows as he wakes up from my barking.
"None of you know what I have been doing for the past several years! I have been in far more life threatening situations than there have ever been back in the wild!" I bark. "I had about died when I had to battle against something that would have destroyed our entire world!" I bark.
Firestar gazes into my eyes, and sees that they hold vast knowledge of my adventures. "You always have had a special bond with your brother. Knowing when you or him would be in trouble." He meows.
"Yes, that is how deep our bond is, is allows us to signal each other. That is how Brightshadow found me three years ago." I bark.
"Hmm, then we need to hurry. Brightclaw, take the lead to where you think Brightshadow is!" Firestar meows.
"Right, then we'll need Toxa's help to get you guys there." I bark, tossing my V-Raptor medal. In a flash of green, Toxa materializes in front of the four cats. In their defense to Toxa's arrival, they leap at the vivosaur. I take the full brunt of their attack, shielding my vivosaur from their claws and fangs. "Guys, this is Toxa, my vivosaur that will help you get to where Brightshadow is." I bark.
Firestar looks at the vivosaur with interest. "Brightclaw, what have you been up to?" He asks.
"Fossil Fighting, and I am one of the best." I bark. "Basically, you dig up the bones of ancient creatures and revive them with alien technology. Then you battle against others who have their own vivosaurs." I explain.
"Aren't you against fighting though?" Sandstorm asks.
"Nobody really does get hurt since the vivosaurs fight for fun, and they enjoy a good battle. No one ever wants to really hurt a friend." I bark. "Vivosaurs are basically part of the family. I never would abandon a vivosaur for any reason, it would break my heart." I bark. "Toxa is one of my original vivosaurs back from Vivosaur Island, where Hunter and I became Fossil Fighters. We started out small, but made ourselves known eventually." I bark. "Hunter and I had never planned to become so well known in Fossil Fighting, but that's what happens when you are faced with the task of protecting those you love." I bark. "It's a heavy burden that I have been carrying ever since their disappearance, and it gets heavier each day." I sigh. "Come on, we need to get going." I bark.
The four cats get onto Toxa's back, and Skypaw stays beside me. We head to the helicopter, and prepare to head for Cranial Island. Everyone is pretty quiet for most of the ride, except Skypaw is distracted by the tales of the forest from when I was a pup. Until Sandstorm asks me a question. "Brightclaw, how has leaving the clan changed your life?" She meows.
I let out a heavy sigh. "I guess that things have changed for the best of me." I bark, looking outside the helicopter.
"How would that be?" Sandstorm meows.
"Well, I was able to experience so many things, and meet so many new people." I bark. "I've been on countless adventures, but I was never alone. I have always had a friend by my side." I bark. "Though when the adventure would come to an end, I would always have to say goodbye." I bark, tears streaming down my face. "Some goodbyes were harder than others, but most of them felt like my soul was being torn apart." I bark, wiping away my tears with my paws. "When this adventure is over, I know that Skypaw will have to return to her own time. Yet another goodbye." I sigh.
"Though it isn't forever, she is your future daughter, Brightclaw." Sandstorm meows.
"I know that, but it would be several years from now. Skypaw is most likely four or five years old." I bark. "The hardest thing is that she is my daughter." I bark, looking away from the young pup. "When it is time for us to part ways, my heart will experience pain that it should have yet to feel." I bark. "Sandstorm, I am only sixteen years old right now. I can't allow Skypaw to carry such a heavy burden that I've been carrying for so many years." I bark. "I know that I should just send her back, but there is one other pup. I have to find them both, and send them home." I bark. The helicopter soon lands, and the others step off.
"You don't want to spend time with her?!" Sandstorm meows as I get off the helicopter as well.
I stop in my tracks, but I don't face the she-cat. "That's the problem, I do want to spend time with Skypaw." I growl between clenched teeth. "The more time I spend with Skypaw though, the more I become attached to her. My canine instincts grow stronger as well, especially when Skypaw is in danger." I bark.
Sandstorm walks over to me. "What do you mean?" She meows.
"The DNA inside of me tries to take over to focus on Skypaw, but I can't let that happen. I would lose all reason and love towards my friends, and only think to protect those who would be part of my pack/clan." I sigh. "I don't want to lose my humanity, people already see me as a wild animal as it is." I bark, thinking back to those who see me as just a wolf. "We need to find my brother." I bark. 'Skypaw, why did you even come here? Don't you realize the danger here?' I think as I walk forward, not watching where I am going. Soon I bump into someone and we both fall over. "Sorry about that." I say, getting up. I see that the person was a small boy around Skypaw's age, yet he looks very familiar. My eyes widen with hope, but the hope fades away when I realize that this boy is not Hunter. I help him up, and apologize once more, because deep down I was about to hug the kid, thinking that I had found my partner. The boy is around five years old, has the same blue hair and eyes as Hunter, yet his hair is a bit more wild, and goes down to his shoulders. He is wearing a dark gray jacket over a plain green shirt that ends near his gray jeans. The boy is also wearing gray sneakers with plain white socks.
"It's okay…,but have you seen a small angel-hound that looks somewhat like you, but smaller and younger?" He asks.
"Looks like me?" I question him.
"Yeah, she's my partner, her name is…" The boy is cut off by Skypaw tackling the boy into a hug.
"KIBA!" Skypaw barks excitedly.
'So this boy is Kiba, seems that history has repeated itself.' I think as I see the young pup sit on top of the boy's shoulder. It really brings back memories of when Hunter and I had first become Fossil Fighters. 'This kid, Kiba, no doubt he is Hunter's son. To be partnered with Skypaw, funny how fate can be.' I chuckle to myself.
"Hey wait, why aren't you in your other form, Angel?" Kiba asks, and Skypaw's fur stands on end, her eyes wide in panic.
"Kiba, don't say anything else!" Angel/Skypaw barks, placing both paws over Kiba's mouth.
"Skypaw, I already know who you are." I bark. "Besides, you barked in your sleep." I smirk, causing Skypaw to look away in shame.
She looks down and folds her ears back. "I am sorry to keep it from you anyways, please forgive me?" Angel/Skypaw barks.
I walk over and place a paw on her head. "I would have already forgiven you, you should know that yourself. With what I've done before, and with this time gear, time will not be altered." I bark, holding the time gear in my collar. "Now, is your real name Angel?" I ask, and the pup nods her head. "I'm guessing that the name isn't from being an actual angel-hound, right?" I ask.
"No, I was given the name before you or dad even knew of me possessing the ability to change between a human and angel-hound form. I wasn't called Skypaw until you and dad had seen me transform once." She barks. "Though I almost always go by the name Angel. I am going by my apprentice name to not draw much attention." Angel/Skypaw barks.
"So, you are human?" I ask.
"I guess you could say that." Skypaw barks.
"Wait, where is your brother, Skypaw?!" Kiba asks.
Skypaw dips her head in sadness. "I don't know, we got into a fight with some big dogs. I don't know where Sunpaw is." She barks, tears streaming down her face.
I bite my tongue as guilt washes over me, but the guilt fades away when Kiba picks up Skypaw and begins to comfort her. "It's alright, Angel, we will find him." He says, stroking his hand along the pup's back.
Though the clothing on Skypaw makes it difficult to caress the young pup's fur, Kiba manages to calm her down. Skypaw begins to slip into slumber, and Kiba smiles. I can see a small blush across his face. 'History repeats itself even more than I had originally thought.' I think as Kiba places Skypaw in his own jacket, keeping her steady as his gaze returns to me.
"So, you really are Angel's mother?" Kiba asks.
"As of right now, no, but most likely in the future." I bark.
"What do you mean 'most likely' ?" Kiba asks.
"There could be a change in the timeline, and Skypaw may never be born." I bark, my voice heavy with fear.
"Would the same go for me?" Kiba asks.
"With what I have in mind for the outcome of this mission, no. Your father may be safe, but I may not survive this battle." I sigh. "I fear that someone is after my power, and they will stop at nothing to get it." I bark. "Whoever sent Rex and his pack is responsible for draining my power." I bark. My eyes lock onto Skypaw. "If anyone dares to hurt Skypaw, I will show little mercy." I growl. "Kiba, head to the volcano, I will meet you there." I bark, and Kiba does as I say. I then look up at the sky. "Who brought me to Ribular, and how did they even get into my room?" I bark, shielding my eyes from the sun. I begin to move forward, but stop when I sense someone again. Barring my teeth, I turn around and see nobody around, yet I feel their presence. "Don't even try to harm them!" I snarl, my message reaching whoever is watching me.
The lone angel-hound dashes out toward the active volcano, my heart feels as if it is being crushed. "I am sorry, but I am only doing what is best for you, Brightclaw." I bark, looking down at the young pup beside me.
"Dad, is mom angry at us?" He asks.
"No, she just doesn't know who the real enemy is." I bark.
"Would mom love me?" The pup asks.
"Of course, she loves you with all her heart, Sunpaw." I bark.
"Then why is Shadow trying to hurt mom?" Sunpaw barks, pointing at said alley-hound. Shadow is a jet black hound with ice blue eyes, and red claws.
"Wait, he has those glacial darts, doesn't he?!" I growl, seeing three syringes held by his tail. All three are filled with the same liquid that can lower a creatures body temperature to extremely low levels. They can only be made from the glaciers of Illium Isle. I can see it in his ice blue eyes, pure hatred for Brightclaw. He doesn't intend to let her stop Lester's foolish plan. 'Wait, that howl from earlier…' I think as Shadow dashes towards the heart of the volcano. 'It had to be Brightshadow, that is how Brightclaw was able to find this area.' I think as I dig my claws into the ground. "Shadow, I have said to never attack that hound. She is the only hope to take down the darkness." I mutter under my breath. 'Shadow, his heart is being consumed by the darkness that continues to grow on these islands.' I think as I chase after Shadow, Sunpaw on my back. Brightclaw is the only one who can purify the land and save those who are being corrupted by it. Though there are even those who are close to her heart that are giving into the darkness.
