Costume Shopping

(Renesmee's POV)

I bounced up and down while Aunt Alice, Momma, Lily, Aunt Rose and I drove to the costume shop. I was so full of excitement right now. I looked out the window, watching the green trees pass by me and the small town of Forks. I then turn my attention to see Lily in her car seat with her sunglasses on that are just like Aunt Rose's.

Right now we're all in Aunt Rose's M3, which is one of my favorite cars to be in. I love it when the cover is down and the breeze is blowing in my face, but like today we can't since it's raining.

Aunt Alice was right in the middle of us bouncing up and down like the little pixie is. She is going to get costumes for everyone in the family, and when I mean everyone I mean everyone. She's going to make the entire family go trick or treating with us to wear a costume, and if you're not coming with us then you're at home in your costume. What sucks is Aunt Alice can see everything with her 'all seeing eye' so even if you take it off, Aunt Alice will probably march right over to you and make sure you wear it. She normally gets crazy for every holiday, since Aunt Alice wasn't around for my first Christmas she made us have Christmas all over again about a month later. Then New Years she threw this huge party and it was crazy. Like I said, she's insane.

Speaking of Christmas- I cannot wait for it this year. I really hope Christmas this year will be a good one, not like my first Christmas. Last year was a good Christmas. We held a big Christmas bash at the Cullen home this time. Grandpa Charlie, Nanna Sue, and the pack came over to celebrate. It was a lot more easy going than my first Christmas, which was spent in fear because of the Volturi. I do worry a bit that this year's might be ruined due to the man of all four.

Even though I was a little worried, nothing would stop me from begin excited. This year was going to be extra special because it'll be Lily, Aidan, and my little brother's first Christmas. I don't want theirs to be ruined like mine was.

I actually couldn't say mine was ruined. I still had a ton of fun. I remember I got a bracelet from Jacob (which I never take off just like my locket), an MP3 player from Daddy, and my locket from Momma. I did get presents like any normal kid, I just wish that I didn't have the thought of the Volturi coming to kill us all in the back of my head.

The Volturi still haunt me sometimes. When I get nightmares it's normally about them. Creepy Aro and his brothers, they caused our whole family to be scared. I'm frightened of what their next move could be. They always seem to be like that danger lurking in the corner. We never know when they're going to strike or attack. But we haven't heard from them since they came for me that December. Since then, it's been quite peaceful. Well, all until the man of all four decided to shake our lives up a bit.

"We're here," Aunt Alice sung joyfully as we pulled up to the costume shop. She was still bouncing up and down in her seat. I swear, sometimes I wonder if she's just made out of pure sugar.

"Are you guys excited?" My Momma chuckled, looking back at us from the passenger seat of the car.

"Yeah!" I cheered with Lily.

"Come on baby girls, let's go get your costumes!" Aunt Rosalie chuckled as he and Momma got out of the car to help us out of our car seats. Getting out I immediately reached out to hold Momma's hand. Lily was on Aunt Rosalie's hip while resting her head in the crook of her neck while Aunt Alice was prancing around like the little fairy she is.

When we enter the shop is filled with costumes, there was so many to choose from. All different sorts like the classic Halloween monsters of ghosts, ghouls, and witches to more modern ones like disney princesses to the power rangers. There were even a few funny ones like hot dogs and a blow up sumo suit.

Decisions, decisions, decisions...

"Momma, what are you and Daddy gonna be?" I asked her. This caused my mom to bite her lip.

"I don't know if we're going to be anything, honestly baby," She confessed to me. "I might not dress up."

"Bella! Everyone in this family will be dressing up whether you like it or not!" Aunt Alice told her firmly.

"But Alice, I'm pregnant," my momma protested, pointing to her stomach which was getting more of a bulge now. At the moment it was a small round bump. I don't think you would know she was pregnant unless you took a closer look at her. I will admit, her baby bump was growing bigger each day. This baby was definitely going to grow fast like I did.

"Fine...Hmmm," Aunt Alice said, looking around. She then found a pair of lamb ears and a tail, throwing it at my momma. "Here, you can be a lamb!"

"That is fine by me." Momma chuckled, causing Aunt Alice to roll her eyes.

"My dear sister, why can't you ever work with me?" My aunt said, sighing.

"I did. I let you design my whole wedding practically," Momma pointed out.

"True...But still, work with me Bella!" Aunt Alice exclaimed, causing my momma and Aunt Rose to laugh at her antics.

"Princess!" Lily cheered, bouncing up and down in Aunt Rose's arms. "Imma be a princess!"

"Now that's my type of kid!" Aunt Alice exclaimed, her tone light. She then danced over to a wrack, picking up a pink princess outfit. It came with a silver plastic crown and staff.

"Is this the one you want, Lil?" Aunt Rose asked her daughter. Lily nodded in response, clapping her hands happily.

"Okay then, Nessie...What about you?" Aunt Alice asked me curiously. I bit my lip and began to look at all the costumes. One caught my eye and I couldn't help but let a grin make it's way onto my face.

"Nice choice angel!" Aunt Alice snickered, giving me a high-five.

"What did she choose?" my momma asked, raising her eyebrows.

"I'm gonna be a vampire Momma!" I declared, pointing towards the black and pink dress hanging on the wrack. A pair of glow in the dark fangs and make-up came with it. Aunt Rose and Momma both begin to chuckle.

"Are you sure you want to baby?" Momma asked me.

"Yeah. Momma, don't worry people won't get to me about vampires. I don't know if that's what you mean?" I said to her using my power.

"Are you sure-"

"Momma, I know humans believe we don't exist and what not. I know if they make references they'll be untrue. They won't offend me. I'll be fine, I promise," I reassured her.

"Alright then...I don't see why not," Momma said.

Aunt Alice then got costumes for the rest of the family their costumes and some candy for human children that may stop by. We never get much. Only a few if I'm basing it off of last couple of years.

I'm was going to be a vampire, Lily a princess, and Aidan a baseball player. Aunt Alice was going as a tinker bell and she was making poor Uncle Jazz go as peter pan. I don't know how she coaxed him into that one, then again Uncle Jasper does a lot of crazy things for my aunt.

Momma is going to be a lamb while Aunt Alice got my dad lion ears to go on his head, Aunt Rose is going to be Goldie Locks, and Uncle Emmett is going to be a bear. Aunt Alice even got a costume for Jacob. She got him a werewolf costume, which was partially my idea. I think my Aunt Alice was the less crazy on my grandparents, especially since my grandpa is a professional doctor. She just got Grandma a witch hat for when they pass out candy.

When we got home I rush over to the living room where Daddy was with Jakey, my uncles, and Aidan.

"Hey angel," Daddy greeted, noticing me right away. I smiled, running straight for his arms. He chuckled, swirling me around before settling me on his hip. "How was the shopping?"

"Really great!" I exclaimed eagerly. "We got them for everyone! Guess what yours are!"

"Do we even dare question what Alice has in stored for us?" Uncle Emmett mentioned, looking towards my pix of an aunt walk through the door.

"Ness, why don't you tell the boys what they're going to be," Aunt Alice suggested, winking at me.

"Okay!" I exclaimed. "Well, Daddy you're gonna be a lion. Then Uncle Emmett's gonna be a bear, Uncle Jazzy is going to be Peter pan, and finally Jakey is gonna be a werewolf!"

"Hey I resent that idea!" Jacob called out to my aunts and mother. "Alice, what the heck?"

"The wolf was actually my idea, Jakey. Aunt Alice just helped choose which one," I told him.

"Oh Ness, ya killing me here," Jacob said, playfully squeezing my cheek. "But I'll do it, for you."

"Good," I said, grinning in triumph.

"Peter Pan Alice? Really?" Uncle Jasper mumbled at his wife. "Are you trying to castrate me?"

"No! Come on, Jazz! I'm going to be tinker bell! You see, matching costumes. That's why I did it! Duh?" she said holding up the costume. It was a classic green leotard with tights to accompany it. There were little booties as well. Everyone just giggled seeing it.

"No Alice," Uncle Jasper told her sternly.

"Jazzy," she whined, pouting her lips out. "Please. For me?"

"If it's just the hat I'll wear it," He told her, caving in a bit. "I'm not going to go around in public in that."

"Fine!" She agreed, sighing a bit, before dancing over to kiss him on the cheek. "What about the booties?"

"Pushing it, Alice," Uncle Jasper said.

"Fine. Just wear a green shirt and it'll be fine," Aunt Alice announced. Uncle Jasper just chuckled, kissing her on the tip of her nose.

"You drive me mad woman," He said, sighing.

"Good," My aunt stated simply with a big smile on her face.

"So I'm a lion?" Daddy asked Momma. I watched as Momma nodded as she began to chuckle, holding up the ears and the matching tail we got him. "I have to wear this?" He questioned with a frown, observing the costume.

"Yes you do! I'm a lamb my little lion!" Momma said, winking at Daddy. This caused me to giggle some more while my father just sighed, giving in.

"So...What might you be my little princess?" Daddy asked me, reverting the topic.

I couldn't help but let the devious grin creep onto my face, "A vampire."

"Really?" Jacob asked incredulously. "Don't you want to be something you're not?"

"No! It's ironic. I'm half vampire. I find it quite funny," I stated promptly. "And you'll be a werewolf. Once again, ironic."

Jacob and my parents just shared looks with another and laughed.

"Well, this is going to be an interesting Halloween. That's for sure," My grandmother stated, a smirk on her face. We all just laughed at her comment. It truly was going to be.
