Hey guys! So sorry it took me so long to update! Gosh, I can't even remember the last time I had the time/focus to write! Life's been hectic! Crap just kept hitting the fan, so sorry! And crap's still hitting the fan, but now that schools over for the summer I finally have time to write (uh sometimes) and I'll hopefully be updating every other day! Hopefully! So don't get too mad at me!

Warning: It's a bit short (I think), but I'll be updating either tomorrow or the next day! Ok? Ok!

Chapter 25

Cammie

"Bex?"

"Really, I haven't seen you in years and all I get is Bex?" She cocked her hip and looked prepared for one of her major attitude battles. I got the deer in the headlights look and turned slightly towards Zach for any sign of what to do, but he just sat there...smirking. Some help he is.

"Well...I just-" I started but was cut off when she flew a crossed the room and tackled me into a hug. Of course at the time I had no idea she was going to hug me, so I tensed for impact and shielded my arm. But the force of our collision sent me to the floor, consequently jarring my already traumatized arm. It did hurt a little, but it wasn't anything I'm not used to, so I tentatively wrapped my arms around her too. We only hugged for a couple seconds before she pulled back and punched me...in my bad arm.

"What the heck Bex!" I yelled as I grabbed my offended arm and rolled away from her.

"I can't believe you just left us like that! Poor little Liz was heart broken!" She yelled at me a fire blazing in her eyes.

"Oh yeah, it sounds like it was just Liz who missed me." I rolled my eyes and then realized that Bex had every reason to be provoked at me and I just poked the bear. Haha good job Cammie you stupid girl.

"Well of course I missed my sparing partner, no one else came close to being as good as me so I had to spar against coach and Joe, when he was there, which wasn't a lot, and you know how coach gets on my nerves." She went on, her voice getting ever so slightly higher like it does when she get's defensive. It's not a common trait for spies but it's so slight that only anyone that spends a lot of time with her notices.

"Sure Bex, that's the only reason why you missed me." I replied again smiling as I held back another eye roll.

"It is, and we're done talking about it. We have more important matters to discuss." I smiled a little at her change of topic, knowing her we'll be back to the subject later when we're alone. I'm so looking forward to it. Note the sarcasm.

Noting that our discussion was over Grant Newman whom I know from my multiple background checks on Zach, spoke up. "So Zach when where you going to tell us that you had a girly-friend?"

Zach rolled his eyes before responding, "Girly-friend? Really?"

"If I recall correctly you've referred to Bex as my girly-friend in the past. So yes, really." At his words Bex looked at me a little cautiously, as if she expected that I didn't know that they're dating. Wow, such low expectations.

"She's not my girly-friend Newman, didn't you hear? She's my fiancé, we're getting married next month." Zach responded with his usual wit.

"Wow, and you never even told your best friend you were dating."

"Come on Grant, didn't you get the memo? You're the best man, how could you not know?"

"Well I never got that memo, we just happened to be in town."

"Oh sure, when'd the plane get in?"

"Ahh a couple hours ago, we made up that 'delayed flight' story so we could do a little reconnaissance. Nice jump by the way Cam." He looked over at me with an appreciative glance, well lets just hope they were the only ones watching. I gave him a brief nod and he returned his attention to Zach.

"You mean sight seeing?"

"You say sight seeing, I say reconnaissance is there really a difference?" He defended, and thinking about it there really was no difference for a spy. Every time I went out 'sight seeing' I was also doing reconnaissance.

"Sight seeing is more romantic." Zach answered and I rolled my eyes at their meaningless banter.

"Well then, it was a little bit of both." He winked at Bex and her cheeks reddened slightly.

"Ahh, lets change the topic shall we? We actually do have work to do." Zach spoke, and looking at the three of them I could tell that they were all very close. He acted protective of Bex, like a brother.

"Ah ah ah not so fast mister. We have almost a month for work, so spill." Bex pointed at the two of us and I glanced around, confused.

"Spill what? I don't have a drink." I answered back, it must be the time of night and jet lag combined but I honestly have no idea what she's going on about.

"You two!" She all but yelled, and I moved to sit beside Zach where he placed himself on the couch.

"What about us?" I asked pulling my feet up under me.

"We need to know the details of your relationship! We're your best friends you can't just leave us hanging!" She answered and I couldn't help but smile at her casually referring to us as best friends.

"Must we? I'm tired, jet lag's getting to me." I answered as I yawned and leaned over to put my head on Zach's shoulder.

"Ugh fine, but tomorrow we're getting all the details." She complained folding her arms across her chest.

I couldn't help but think to myself that there wasn't really any details to our relationship anyway.

-Sorry it's kinda short! But I might update tomorrow, or the day after so this time you wont have to wait so long I promise!
