Chapter 25: Tooth Palace and Revelation
Jack's POV
"Hey, it's not my fault that I'm fangirling over your worry for Tooth," Elsa smirked. Bunny turned red. The others and I laughed. Bunny has a thing for Tooth.
"Come on! Get your weapons! Something bad is going to happen. I feel it… in my belly," North yelled. Bunny rolled his eyes while Elsa rushed to her room to get her sheath for her arrows. I already have my staff and dagger.
We rushed to the sleigh. "Sleigh ride!" I cried excitedly. We jumped in, except for Bunny and Elsa.
"Bunny! Elsa! What are you doing?" North asked.
"I think my tunnels might be safer mate," Bunny said.
"I'm not going through the tunnels, in that sleigh, with that guy driving," Elsa said, pointing at North. I smirked.
"Are you scared?" I asked.
"What? No, it's just that when North's driving, you just got to take pre-caution," Elsa said.
"I think you're scared," I said again.
"Ugh… get in!" North said as he picked up Bunny, before throwing him in the seats, in front of me. North was about to pick up Elsa, but she stepped back.
"I'll just hop in when we're outside," Elsa and she jumped down the ice tunnel. North shrugged and snapped the reins. The reindeers started running and we were soon going at high speed. We went down the tunnel and saw Elsa already skating along the tunnel.
She looked over her shoulders and smirked. "Race ya North!" she shouted and skated faster.
"Ho ho ho, it's on!" North said and snapped the reins again. The sleigh accelerated, and Bunny's hold on the sleigh became tighter. I chuckled at his reaction.
"Elsa!" Bunny shouted. The gang were also hanging on for dear life, except for Hiccup, who was in the air with Toothless. Soon we reached the exit and Elsa jumped into the air and caught hold of the sleigh. I pulled her in and saw her panting.
"I won!" Elsa shouted.
"You obviously cheated," North huffed. Elsa settled down next to Bunny. Suddenly, I remembered the joke I played on Bunny years ago.
"Hey Elsa! Check out this view-whoa!" I pretended to fall of the sleigh. I waited on one the planks of the sleigh
"Jack!" I heard Elsa exclaimed. I saw her looking over the sleigh.
"Aw…You do care about me," I said. She sighed in relief. But when I sat next to her again, I felt a hard punch on my shoulder. "Ow!"
"Don't you dare do that again Frost!" Elsa said fiercely. "That wasn't funny!"
"Okay, okay," I said, rubbing my arm. The others grinned at Elsa.
"Hold on, we're using the snow globe!" North said and he threw a snow globe. It opened into a portal and we flew into it. We passed it and entered the realm of the Tooth Palace. There were nightmares everywhere!
The gang gasped as they took a look at the nightmares. They have never seen real nightmares before.
"Okay, time to put training into practice!" Elsa shouted as she pulled out an arrow from her sheath. She started shooting arrows everywhere. Merida followed. Punzie started swinging her glowing hair around, diminishing the number of nightmares. She also used the Great Frying Pan to hit the nightmares that were within close range. Hiccup and Toothless were blasting nightmares, while Sandy was using his whips and Bunny was using his boomerangs.
I started blasting the nightmares with ice. They weren't doing anything, just flying all around. They weren't stealing the teeth or taking the tooth fairies.
Elsa jumped off the sleigh and grabbed onto a nightmare. The nightmare was trying to shake her off, until it saw who it was. Elsa jumped onto the nightmare's back and started leaping from nightmare to nightmare. I stared at her. Why aren't the nightmares attacking her?
I don't think the others noticed it, they were too busy fighting. I was still staring when I felt something being trusted into my hands. "Jack, take the reins!" North said as he took his swords out.
I snapped the reins and tried to land the sleigh. This time, it landed more smoothly than the last time. Everyone hoped off the sleigh, and Hiccup and Toothless landed beside us. Tooth was standing hovering above the ground, along with her fairies by her side. Baby Tooth was by my side in a flash.
"Tooth! What's going on?" Bunny asked.
"I don't know! They're just flying around for no reason," Tooth said. Suddenly, a sinister voice could be heard everywhere.
"Well, it's all part of the plan," it said. A shadow appeared and revealed to be…
"Pitch," I growled. The others looked at him, trying to analyse our enemy.
"Ah… Jack Frost, good to see you again, and I see that you have brought your little group with you, the Big 5 of legend. Now let's see what we have here," Pitch said and he reappeared in front of Hiccup.
"Hiccup Haddock, Dragon Master, you have a wonderful fear. You're afraid that your dragon will leave you and never come back. You're afraid of losing your friends," Pitch said. Hiccup was taken aback, and I saw him shiver a little.
Pitch reappeared in front of Merida this time. "Merida Dunbroch, the Archer, your fear is that your fate will be changed. Your mother will take you back home and force you to marry someone you don't love," Pitch laughed evilly and I saw Merida's arm tremble.
"Rapunzel Corona, Healer, you're afraid that you'll be locked up again and will never see another soul ever again," Pitch said to Punzie. Punzie grabbed her fry pan and was about to hit Pitch when he disappeared.
He suddenly appeared in front of me. "Jack Frost, your fear hasn't changed much. You're afraid that The Guardians will never trust you again. And there's an interesting addition to your fears. You're afraid that a certain someone will get hurt," Pitch smiled sinisterly. Elsa…
Pitch reappeared on a tower above us. He looked around. "Aren't there supposed to be five?" he asked. We looked around, and saw Elsa wasn't here.
"Where's Elsa?" Punzie asked.
All of a sudden, Elsa walked out from behind the tower, behind Pitch. She was pointing her arrow at him. "The fifth is right here Pitch," she said. Pitch whirled around and looked a little surprised. His tone soften, which surprised us.
"Elsa?" he asked.
Elsa's POV
"Elsa?" Pitch asked, surprised.
"Yeah, yeah, Pitch, it's me," I said, rolling my eyes. Pitch laughed an evil laugh.
"So, it is true. I should have known it was you, the old man was likely to choose you to be a guardian," he said. My arrow was still trained on Pitch.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever. What do you want from here?" I asked, annoyed.
"Well, Elsa, I'm quite sure you know what I want," he said. The Guardians looked at me in confusion.
"Actually no," I said dumbly.
"Don't you dare lie to me! You know exactly what I want! I want the last key!" Pitch yelled.
"Of course I knew! I'm not stupid!" I said.
"Well, hand it over then," Pitch said extending a hand out.
"No," I said. "Like I said, I'm not stupid, why would I hand it to you? What's the point of all this? To gain power? To rule over the world?" I asked.
"Elsa, Elsa, Elsa, I'm not the kind of person who does things for nothing. All of this is for one thing, and one thing only. Revenge," Pitch said.
"All those years when no one believed in me, after he took away the fear in the world for me to stay strong. Do you know what it's like to feel someone go through you?" Pitch asked.
"Of course I do. Jack, Bunny, they too know what it's like," I said. My arrow is pointing at the ground now.
"Yes, and when I tried to take back what was mine, Frost just had to interfere my plans. Now it's payback time," he said. "Now hand the key over!"
"Never!" I shouted and shot Pitch in the leg. It doesn't hurt him much, but it's enough to give him a distraction. I charged and did a round-the-house kick. I hit him right in the stomach and he flew backwards.
He got up and chuckled evilly. He waved his hand and something rose up into the air. Snow! She was covered in black sand which looked like it was suffocating her.
"Snow!" I yelled, the same time as Asland does.
"Let her go!" I said training another arrow at him.
"The key first," he said. There was no way I am handing the key over, but I was also not going to let him hurt Snow. He seems to be squeezing the air out of her with every second. It was time to let it go. I let go of my bow and arrows and threw it away. The Big 4 looked at me in surprise.
"Let her go. We could do the easy way or the hard way," I said. I could feel the air around us drop in temperature.
"Come on Elsa, come and get me. Show them the monster you really are," Pitch taunted. That did it! I made an icicle and threw it at Pitch. Pitch dodged while the Big 4 gasped.
Snowflakes started raining down on us hard and the wind was blowing strongly. I made more icicles and made them circle around Pitch. He still wasn't letting go of Snow. He sent nightmares charging my way. I froze most of them, but there were too many for me to freeze all.
Suddenly, it was like all of me wanted to let loose. There was like this energy wanting to break free. I sent out a huge flash of light and the nightmares disintegrated into thin air. I was panting hard when all the nightmares were gone. It was like I emitted radiance. Just like Dad.
I sent ice spikes and pinned Pitch to a wall, and he let go of Snow. Snow fell to the ground gasping for air. Asland was by her side in a second. I walked up to Pitch and gave him a cold glare.
"Leave now and never come back," I whispered so quietly, that it sounded like the wind.
Pitch looked a little scared and hurried away. He jumped onto a nightmare and they left in a hurry. A single tear rolled down my cheeks, leaving a frosty trail. Then I collapsed on the ground as I watched Pitch fly away. The storm stopped.
I felt something on my shoulder and saw it was Bunny. He helped me up. Snow was by my side. "What happened? I saw you glowing brightly, like an angel. You were emitting a white glow and your eyes were glowing too," Snow said.
My eyes were glowing? I looked down and my eyes widened. I was wearing an all-white dress with a diamond belt.
"What?" I asked.
"I don't know. All I saw was you getting swarmed by nightmares, then there was this burst of light and you appeared wearing that," Bunny said.
I looked at my hands, something happened back there. I wonder…
I moved my hands and shot out a ray of light into the air. But this was no ordinary beam of light. It was filled with different colours, green, blue, white, purple and many other colours. I closed my fingers and the lights disappeared.
Now standing in front of me was the Big 4. I couldn't meet any of their eyes, especially Jack's.
Suddenly, I was enveloped in hug. It was Jack. I couldn't hug back, not after I kept this secret from him this long. He broke the embrace and looked at me with a smirk.
"So, another secret has been revealed," he said. My head snapped back at him.
"Wait, you're not mad at me?" I asked.
"Why should I be? You have the same powers as me. You scared Pitch away, and nobody's hurt, right?" he asked. I nodded my head slowly.
"But, can we get an explanation?" Jack asked. I was about to answer when wolves appeared all around us. Tempest… Just great.
"Elsa! What happened?" Tempest asked as he emerged from the darkness. The Big 4 immediately went into attack position. The other Guardians stood there watching the new visitor. It didn't help that Tempest looked a lot like Pitch.
"Tempest! What are you doing here?" I asked.
"Wait, you know him? Is he another Pitch?" Jack asked. I shook my head.
"That's Tempest, Pitch's twin brother," I said.
"Twin?!" Jack cried.
"Twin?!" Hiccup, Merida and Punzie echoed.
"Wait, isn't Tempest that guy who sent you those letters using the wolf?" Jack asked. I nodded.
"Elsa! What happened?" Tempest asked again.
"Pitch!" I groaned. Tempest studied my dress for a moment before asking.
"Did something happen?" he asked.
"Oh no, we all came for a visit and had come cake for tea. Would you like to join us?" I asked sarcastically.
"Elsa, this is not the time," Tempest said as he furrowed his brow.
"I sort of had a duel with him, again. I think I released a burst of light and then, my dress changed into this," I said gesturing to my dress. Tempest looked like he was deep in thought.
"Was she emitting light?" Tempest asked Snow. Snow nodded and Tempest went deep into his thoughts again.
"Elsa, I think your light powers have fully matured. As in, your light powers are to the greatest level now," Tempest said.
"What!?" I cried.
"Hello? We still want the explanation," Merida said.
"So, they know now?" Tempest asked. I pulled him away from the others and whispered, "No, not all. They only know about my ice and light powers now. Just leave follow my cue. Don't say anything about our blood ties."
We walked back to the others and I said, "You might want to sit down for this." Everyone took a seat and I took a deep breath and started my story.
"Well, Pitch, Tempest and I used to be friends. Then, Pitch changed. He wanted to kill the Guardians for who-knows-what reason," I started and Bunny continued.
"So she made a deal with him that each year they would have a duel. If she won, Pitch would have to wait another year to carry out his plan. Elsa won for the first 300 years, but then one year, she failed. And that was the year when Jack became a Guardian. Then a few years later, Elsa lost again," Bunny said. The Guardians were staring at me, wide-eyed
Tempest continued, "Mani also gave her a mission. It was to make sure Pitch doesn't get the Ultimate Treasure. The Ultimate Treasure is a gem that can take the belief of a child away from you. So if you are exposed to it, you'll be in big trouble, as you'll fade away.
"There are four keys to the Ultimate Treasure. Three have already been found. The green key, the red key and the blue key. Elsa has the blue one, I have the green one, and the red one is with Pitch. Elsa was supposed to find the last key, the yellow one and keep it safe. To prevent Pitch from getting it." I blushed at that, Tempest doesn't know that I already have it.
"That's the reason why I go into the RA. I needed to find information. And by the way Tempest, I have the yellow key. I got it yesterday," I said as I shook my bracelet.
"What?!" Tempest cried as he took my hand to look at the key properly. I saw Jack glowering at Tempest. Why?
"Let me get this straight, Pitch wants that key you got yesterday, when you were out, so that he could use this Ultimate Treasure to defeat the Guardians and have revenge. He also needs the other two keys which both of you have. Elsa has four different powers, ice, water, red sand, and light. She and Tempest were friends with Pitch and she has been protecting the Guardians all these years, while on a secret mission given by Mani?" Merida asked.
"Yeah, that pretty much sums it up," Snow said. The Guardians looked at me, guilt in their eyes.
"Elsa, we're sorry we didn't let you in the RA," Tooth said.
"It's fine. I wouldn't have let myself in either," I laughed it off. But I stopped. "I don't get it, why aren't you guys mad at me for keeping this from you?"
"Like Jack said before. Why should we be? Nobody's hurt and Pitch is gone. We now know that we have two winter people with us, and have an advantage over Pitch. Although, why was Pitch wearing a dress?" Hiccup asked.
Tempest, Snow and I looked at each other and burst out laughing.
"I dare you to tell Pitch that," Tempest said to me.
"I dare you to tell Pitch that," I said at the same time to Tempest.
"No way!" we shouted in an answer. Whoever did that would be walking dead man.
"I knew his fashion was outdated! People are starting to say he's wearing a dress!" I laughed.
"Even I know that he's going out of fashion," Tempest said.
"Uh… what's so funny?" Hiccup asked. Tempest, Snow and I stopped laughing and looked at Hiccup.
"Well, you see, my brother has always been boasting about his fashion, which is a robe. Now, it's the twenty-first century, and he's still wearing that," Tempest said.
"Yup, and now, people are saying he's wearing a dress. Wait till Pitch hears about this," I laughed.
"He'll totally hit the roof!" Snow laughed.
"Can't wait to record that down," I said. Everyone burst into laughter. Suddenly, I caught sight of something on the wall where I pinned Pitch to. I walked forward and realised that it was black sand forming words.
"Merry Christmas, Guardians," it said.
I stared at it for a full ten seconds. Then, it clicked into place.
"Oh no," I whispered.
A/N: Okay, so here it is guys! Pitch is back! And Elsa became stronger again! They're not mad, well, not everything is out yet. I really hope you guys like it. Okay, so there are some issues I want to talk about.
First, I know this story is getting kind of boring. Yeah, now I am just giving random stories and there is no love in the story yet. Well, I hope you guys will just bear with me for a while. I assure all of you, this is all essential for the ending of the story. You know when, everything at the beginning is connected to the end? Yeah, that's in my story.
As for the no romance going on between Jack and Elsa…well I just did it for suspense. In my own imaginary world, I like it when romance happens when there is trouble. Like when they realised that they may lose each other. Jelsa will happen after a few more chapters. I'm really sorry for the suspense.
Second, okay, there were many suggestions for Anna to come back. Well, all of them have been taken into consideration. They were all really good ones, I really liked them. Thank you all!
Third, I feel like these later chapters haven't been as good as those earlier ones. These have been shorter than the other chapters. For the earlier chapters, I wrote them out and then typed them into the computer. But for the later chapters, I didn't write them in a book, it just came to me when I was typing it out. Do you guys I should write them in a book first then type it into the computer? Oh and I know my tenses have a lot of mistakes, but please just bear with me. I'll try to not to make as many mistakes as possible.
Fourth, I will be having exams soon, so I may not be able to update next week. But don't worry, I will give bonuses after my exams. You know, if I did well… Cause, if I didn't do well, I may not even be able to use my computer. Let's just hope not.
And fifth…Thank you all for reading my story, and reviewing! I cannot believe that I have 30K reads. That's a lot for me, cause I know there are other authors who have way more than me. And also thank you maybe for following and favourite this book! Thank you all! Love you! ;)
Well…that's it for this week. I'll try to update next week. Maybe I'll be able to update next week, but not the following week. So, thank you all for reading!
Anyway, keep on reading and ship Jelsa!
-Denise
