Harry had been reluctant to leave the hospital. It was the next day before the other kids were told what really had happened. Uncle Moony was out and would be until after the full moon. They had induced a coma, and would keep him out, until after. He could not take the wolf's bane right now, and the coma would have the same effect though as the potion. It would allow his body to be calm during the transformation, and help speed up healing. Harry was upset when he was told his stepfather was in a coma, and they did their best to explain why it was needed. He was extremely rational usually, and deep down he understood, but he was still anxious. He loved the man as a second dad, and he couldn't lose him. His dad assured him Uncle Moony felt the same way, he loved Harry as his own son, even before they had married.

Harry had gone home the next few days, but only for sleep. The house would not be rebuilt, the family would live in Black manor, for now. The house had been needed for the disguise, and now they were out in the open. The home, and the memories they had there, couldn't be rebuilt.

A few days before school Harry was anxious. "Can we go?"

Arcturus looked up. "We should eat first."

Druella agreed. "They are starting soon but it can take hours."

Harry shook his head. "I want to be with him."

Arcturus stood. "I will take you."

Druella motioned. "At least take some food."

Kreacher appeared. "Breakfast for little master."

Harry took the package. "Thanks Kreacher."

Arcturus shook his head. "Thought ahead?"

Harry shook his head. "I didn't ask."

Kreacher responded. "Mistress did."

Wallburga appeared with her cloak. "I knew he would be anxious."

Harry looked at her. "Are you coming Grandmother?"

The woman nodded curtly. "I need air."

Lucretia said quietly to her. "It wouldn't kill you to admit a concern."

Wallburga smirked. "Indeed."

She headed with her father in law and grandson to the hospital. Wallburga could admit a concern for both Harry and her son. To herself, it was not proper to discuss such things. But she was not about to admit such a thing about the wolf. Perhaps he was not such a disappointing son in law, he was a pureblood, and a good father to Harry, but she'd not go further. It irritated her that neither of her sons had chosen appropriate mates, in her mind. Oh she knew how Sirius was around that potions master, she was not blind. He was a good ally to the family, but he was not son in law material in her mind. Arcturus seemed accepting, and she had a feeling Orion may have even given in, but she was not ready to budge.

Regulus was not surprised when his son appeared shortly after visiting hours began. His son usually came early, but not until after breakfast at least. But there would be no keeping his son away today. He had been doing his studies at the hospital, so he couldn't be sent home.

Harry hugged him. "He is still out?"

Regulus sighed. "The potion just started."

Arcturus reminded Harry. "It can take hours."

Harry just curled up with his dad. "I'll be here."

Sirius looked at his brother. "You should stretch your legs, get some food.'

Regulus shook his head. "Not yet."

Wallburga motioned. "There is food for all three."

Harry motioned. "Grandmother had Kreacher pack."

Sirius was surprised. "Three?"

The woman simply grunted. "Three."

Regulus was surprised but said. "Thank you."

Harry smelled French toast. "Better than hospital food."

Sirius agreed. "At least school infirmary food comes from the hall."

Harry looked to his Uncle. "Did you go a lot?"

Regulus smirked. "His pranks backfired in the early days."

Even Wallburga had a twinge of a smile at that as Sirius went red. He could admit, in their early days, James and he had not been as good. Remus had been the one to perfect a number of their spells. Remus had not been a full-fledged marauder though until their third year, closer to Severus and Lily the first two years. Being a wolf, he was the one who would know hospital food the best. Severus and Remus remained friends in secret after fifth year, but couldn't be known publically. It was the marauders and Lily still, who had later been at his bed side, full moons.

Few were surprised when Severus appeared shortly after lunch. Since Remus had returned, their friendship had been out in public, he was the one who helped hide Remus. He cared deeply about the man, and Harry, and had become friends with Regulus as well.

Harry looked. "He is waking."

Regulus agreed. "It was just time."

Remus' eyes fluttered open. "Where….?"

Regulus kissed him. "In the hospital."

Harry was in tears. "I thought….."

Remus reached for his stepson as he was told what happened. "I'm okay cub."

Severus said. "You will be."

Remus noticed the others. "A full room."

Wallburga smirked. "You seem popular."

Remus looked at his mother in law. "Thank you."

Sirius motioned. "Maybe we should give them some time."

Remus kissed Harry. "I am sorry about Bear."

Harry shook his head. "I am just grateful you are alive."

Remus sighed. "I know how much you loved him though."

Harry rested against him. "I loved him, but I need you more Father."

Remus had tears as he heard the name. He shared a smile with his husband, as they both held Harry. Regulus had of course heard his son tell Wallburga that Remus was his dad too. Remus always loved Harry as his own son, but had been happy with Uncle Moony, it was up to Harry. But he could admit it felt good to be called father. He and Regulus could have no kids, and this was a son of both of theirs.

Regulus held his son and husband. "We will make a new home, when things are safe. The important thing is we have each other still."

Harry was a bit reluctant but he headed back to school with the others. They hadn't seem much of him since the fire but they had understood. The twins had moved to Malfoy manor for the last week of holidays. They were all happy though that Harry was coming back to school with them. Harry had been assured Remus would be home in less than a week though still having to take it easy for a time. Harry was upset about the house and about Bear, even if so relieved his dads were okay. They saved what they could, but it had still been a rough blow, and not just to him.

Sirius had taken them to the train, and had gone to school for a staff meeting before the kids arrived. He wasn't looking forward to seeing the headmaster. He knew full well the man was involved with the fire, but they could not prove it just yet.

Severus reminded him. "Keep cool."

"What?"

"Don't go after the man."

"I am a former auror." Sirius reminded the man.

Severus smirked. "Do you need reminding?"

"I am not a teen anymore."

"But when it comes to your brother and Remus, you have a tendency to be a loose cannon."

Sirius grunted. "Like you are any better."

"That is more your style."

"You didn't like seeing Moony in that bed any more than I." Sirius reminded him.

"But we need evidence."

"We know he was involved."

"But we need the proof to nail him once and for all."

Sirius sighed. "I just hope we get it."

Severus touched his arm for a moment. "We will."

A throat cleared behind them. "Am I early?"

Sirius saw Poppy. "We should all head in."

Poppy looked at him. "How is Remus, and your brother?"

Sirius assured her. "Doing better."

Poppy had of course long cared for Harry and the others. Though Severus was their go to medic, Poppy had helped from time to time. She was not as loyal to the headmaster as the man thought. Both Filius and Poppy weren't. They always put the needs and safety of their students first. There was no doubt, like Hagrid as well, they could be trusted with Harry's safety no matter what. Minerva was questionable. The woman loved the school, and even if she was cold and stern, she cared about the kids. If she knew Albus was a danger to them, had proof, they had no doubt that she would help them against him. But it would take a lot to convince her, she had been loyal a long time, and his right hand.

Albus and the others were waiting in the staff room when they came in. Sirius and Severus were among the only who had left for the holidays. There were teachers who stayed every Christmas, so any who chose to leave could, as there were chaperones enough left.

Albus looked at them. "Running a bit late."

Sirius grunted. "Made a stop at the hospital."

Albus played concerned. "How is Remus?"

Sirius remained calm. "How kind of you to enquire finally."

Albus was not phased. "I didn't think it was my place to visit."

Minerva stepped in. "Perhaps we should start."

Filius did ask Sirius. "How is he?"

Sirius knew he was genuine. "He will be home in a few days."

Minerva smiled. "I am happy to hear."

Albus cut in. "Perhaps we can get to school business."

Severus smirked. "You were just asking."

Albus ground his teeth. "We should get this done before the kids return."

Minerva motioned. "It was quiet enough."

Severus pointed out. "Only four kids stayed."

Filius laughed. "But one was Ron Weasley."

Though the twins were pranksters, Ron had become the bigger headache. The twins were like the marauders, they very rarely got caught. Ron had things to prove and unfortunately not the skill to do so. He had been pouting all holidays about being there and had got plenty of detentions. Minerva was not too disappointed that he had broken the mold and was not in her house as his brothers had been.

Sirius was surprised when he saw Harry coming their way after the meeting. He knew the train got there, but he had not expected to see him. Harry didn't look much happier, accompanied by Hagrid, who had not been at the meeting.

Sirius hugged him. "What are you doing up here cub?"

Albus spoke. "I asked him to come to speak."

Harry wasn't happy. "I wanted to settle in."

Albus motioned. "You will join me for dinner."

Sirius interrupted. "I am sure we both are hungry."

Albus turned. "The invitation was for…."

Sirius motioned. "Harry, come along we will…"

Albus grunted. "Dinner can be brought for three."

Harry wasn't pleased in the office. "I am not in trouble."

Albus motioned them to eat. "I wanted to speak, I heard what happened."

Sirius growled. "He had a rough few weeks, he should be with his friends."

Harry was pale. "My dads are okay."

Albus kept up the small talk through dinner. "You know you can come talk any time."

Sirius motioned Harry up. "I am taking him to his dorms."

Albus said. "You haven't had dessert."

Harry surprised Albus when he walked to a shelf. "Where did you get this?"

Albus was confused. "How did you see the book?"

Sirius smirked. "It was out on the shelf."

Albus covered. "I am usually willing to lend books but that one is a bit dangerous."

Sirius went to lead Harry out. "Time to go."

Harry surprised his Uncle when he insisted on going to see Severus before bed. For a moment Sirius was about to joke, his nephew was back to playing match maker. It would have been a relief, Harry had not been himself lately, since the fire had happened. He could see though that something else was bothering him, and so could Severus. Harry admitted that it had to do with the book. He had slipped up, he realized he had used his powers from Grandsire, to see the book. Albus had used a concealment spell, to disguise what the book really was, and Harry saw it. Harry had been so surprised by the book though, he had forgotten he was not to let the man know. Arcturus had explained how rare gray magic was. Harry had incredible magic from a young age, and combined with it being gray, they couldn't allow Albus to know.

Harry answered when Sirius was confused by the spell. "The book was Grandpa's, I mean your father's, I think. It was in our den."
