"Attention Students, please proceed to the mess hall until further notice this is not a drill! I repeat, this is not a drill."
Weiss and the rest of the team woke up to the sounds of alarms going off. Soon, all three members were dressed and well armed in case they ran into trouble.
"Alright is everyone here?" The heiress asked.
"Wait, where's Ruby?" Yang said looking around.
Weiss internally panicked. Everyone had to go to the mess hall and that dunce was out roaming around the grounds. Weiss quickly made her way to the door.
"Where the hell are you going? We need to go to the mess hall." Blake said, stating the obvious.
"I'm going to go look for Ruby. If you two want to go on without me, that's fine."
"To hell with that, you're our teammate and we won't leave a member behind." Yang said, loading Ember Celica.
Weiss make a simple nod as she opened the door and flew out.
"That's weird."
"What's up Blakey?"
"Ruby's cape and Crescent Rose are still here."
Both Yang and Blake looked on the closet doorknob and noticed that Ruby's cape was hanging up. Not too far was Ruby's Scythe. The Black and Yellow pair found that odd. Why would Ruby leave behind two of her most valuable possessions? Weiss quickly ran back into the room and interrupted their thoughts.
"Let's go, whatever is on the school grounds may have gotten to her already!"
On that note, the two quickly ran out following the heiress.
Weiss was rushing down the hallways, followed closely by the bumblebee pair. Weiss was starting to worry about the leader. What if something at gotten to her before they did and even then, how could something get into Beacon late at night?
"Wait, if Ruby's not here right now, then who's the leader?" Yang said, in an attempt to start a conversation.
"Look I will okay?" Weiss said, focused on the task at hand.
"Well Weiss, looks like you became the leader of this team after all." Blake said, a coy look on her face.
Weiss was about to tell the Faunus to put a sock in it, but then an ear-piercing scream rang through the grounds.
"Was that Ruby?" Yang said.
Immediately, Weiss sped off faster than possible, leaving the other two in the dust. As the two tried to catch up, they wondered how Weiss could run so quickly.
Elsewhere
Ozpin stood outside of the mess hall with Glynda as they counted all the students and faculty. As the two counted heads, a scream pierced through the night. Ozpin looked towards the source of the scream.
"Is everyone accounted for?"
"All but Team RWBY and Nurse Amber. Why?"
"Did you do as you were told?"
"Yes but, why did you have me hang mistletoe on the door?" Glynda said, a pondering look on her face.
"Glynda, if you have ever doubted me, trust what I am saying now. People's lives are at stake. I will be back." Ozpin said as he walked off.
"Wait, where are you going?"
Ozpin said nothing as he walked off.
Soon enough, Team RWBY (or now WBY) arrived at the source of the scream. And they saw something they did not want to see. There was a figure hovering over a dead body with a sicking sound coming from it.
"Hello?" Weiss said.
The figure turned and stepped into the light of the full moon. It stood well around 6'9 and was covered in brown fur from head to toe. The creature resembled a wolf that is if a wolf got up on two legs and started walking. Its eyes were a beautiful said of green and it let out a low growl. Its tail swished around angrily as it eyed the three girls.
"Scatter!" Weiss yelled as the creature lunged at them. In a way, it resembled the monster that attacked her and Ruby about a month ago. As the girls separated, the monster tried to focus on one of them, but found it impossible. The huge beast decided then to jump out the nearby window and into the courtyard with the girls following it.
"We need to stop it!"
"Did you see what it did to nurse Amber?" Blake asked.
"That is why we need to stop it." Weiss said.
Yang and Blake began to fire off shots from the weapons; they could easily tell the rounds impacted the monster as small red holes appeared on it. Soon, the two had to stop to reload. They watched as the monster crumpled to the ground. But just as they started to smile, it soon faded from their faces. The bullet holes were closing up and blood stopped seeping from the wounds.
"Freezerburn!" Weiss commanded. They needed cover and quick.
Weiss formed a large circle of ice on the ground as Yang jumped into the air and melted it instantly with her semblance. Fog immediately blanketed the courtyard as the girls split up once more. Blake sat there, firing on where she last saw the beast. Soon, she felt huge hands slam into her side as she sailed towards the wall. She felt her world go dark as the beast ran towards, intent on finishing the job.
"STAY AWAY FROM HER YOU BASTARD!" Yang screamed as Blake slipped into away.
Yang had seen what happened. The monster came right out of the fog and slammed into her with its massive paws. When Yang saw her girlfriend hit the wall, Yang felt angered and ran for the monster. Soon, Yang started to both shoot and punch whatever this thing was. Yang wanted it dead. An uppercut here and a shotgun blast there, Yang soon felt what appeared to be the arm of the creature break on her fists impact. The thing roared in absolute pain as it crumbled to the ground. Yang then fired two shots in its exposed back for good measure.
In the chaos, Weiss was able to drag Blake to the open window and wait for the blonde.
"You think that was a little too much for you?" Weiss said with an inquisitive look on her face.
"That doesn't matter, it Blake okay?"
Blake certainly looked like she had seen better days. Her chest slowly rose and fell with each breath so it was kind of obvious she was still alive, however she was bleeding from her head and her bow was coming slightly undone. Her skin also looked pale and clammy.
"We need to get her to the mess hall." Both Weiss and Yang took place on either side and lifted up the young Faunus.
But then a growl once again caught their attention. They turned to the monster starting to stand up and look at them with murderous rage in its eye. The arm, which was bent only moments ago, was straight once more. The girls started to run with a limp Blake between them. But then the creature stopped as a figure blocked its path.
It was Ozpin. He was holding some type of shrub in front of him. Weiss couldn't tell what it was but it was stopping the monster dead in its tracks.
Soon after thirty seconds, the beast ran off ignoring the four.
"Where did you…?
"Where's Ruby?" Ozpin inquired.
"We were looking for her when we found that thing. How did you scare it off?" Yang asked.
"That's not important, how it miss Belladonna?"
"She hit the wall pretty hard, sir." Weiss said.
Ozpin came up and looked down at Blake. Soon he pulled out two necklaces made of…
"Mistletoe?" Yang said.
"Miss Xiao Long, put these on both your and miss Belladonna's neck and head to the mess hall. I require Weiss for something."
But Ozpin we need her to come with us, what about…"
"Yang, its fine. Ozpin and I are going to look for Ruby, don't worry." Weiss said, attempting to hypnotize the blonde. She hated to do this on her teammates but she had no choice.
Yang started to nod her head in agreement. "Okay, but hurry up and be careful okay." She said as she hefted Blake over her shoulders and started towards the mess hall.
"We will." Ozpin said as both him and Weiss stood alone in the courtyard.
"Sir, why did you give them mistletoe necklaces?"
"What we are dealing with is a creature that can't stand the smell of mistletoe. It smells absolutely repulsive to the beast." Ozpin said.
"What are we dealing with here?"
"Simple. Weiss, have you ever heard of a Werewolf?"
Sorry about the long hiatus. I will try to write more often. I have been busy with life lately and will try to fit more in. especially since it's the Halloween season. Plus VOLUME 3 IS COMING SOON EVERYONE! HYPE!
