Commander Silvas: Omg so i woke up, and checked my email from my ipod and read your review. when i saw about the chapter i was like NOOOO (goes into google chrome and reads it O.O). i am a bit nervous about it, and i talked about my editor about it. We found out if obito is tobi, there will be alot of plot holes x.x. Cause the thing is, wasn't zabuza a kid when Tobi took control of Kirigakure? o.o. zabuza is like around Kakashi's age right? Also Madara and Tobi met before, Madara if he met obito when the boy was well a boy o.o, why isn't madara like an old man when he was ressurected? the ressurection jutsu brings back the people the exact way the age they died, right? o.o. so madara should look old, and not young o.o if he met obito XD. thats my plot holes i found o.o. My editor has his own too. But either way i think no matter who tobi is, I'm stickign with my own theory o.o. It fits well to be Tobi's background o.o'. I think x.x

Thank you for the awesome comments :D. I will give you all cookies now! yay! :D. you guys help alot with my self esteem :O. I hope your reviews isn't really about pity x.x XD jk o.o'. My first time being somewhat independent o.o'. NOOOOOOO!

Enjoy the story :O

Chapter 25

"Are you seriously going out again?" Hanabi asked with a frown, arms crossed on her chest as Tobi walked passed her down the street. Tobi stopped and glanced at her with a frown.

"The children are ready," The Masked man simply said.

"You sure you don't want us to save your lives again?" Hanabi was almost like Hideko; both liked to mock people and bring up the past. "Never mind…I rather stay here so I won't be accused with attempt murder," she said. Tobi said nothing, as he remembered he did accuse her for trying to take his life. He sighed, hating to be in this situation.

"I…apologize," Tobi grumbled, he hated to admit of being wrong.

Hanabi raised an eyebrow; never did she think the man was capable of apologizing. She heard the masked man was not sorry for the death of Naruto's parents. He didn't even feel bad for the other lives Tobi stole. This was the reason why many people where annoyed with the man. He didn't feel guilt. Well now maybe he did…kind of?

"Make sure you take good care of my nephew," Hanabi mumbled before walking off. Tobi groaned. People still had doubts of his powers? He was powerful as long as no one activated the seal… The masked man thought about Naruto, the way he seemed to regret the way Tobi died. The masked man shook his head. He tried to avoid letting Naruto off the hook easily. Well then again… Tobi had done harsher things to Naruto and never did he feel guilty…

"Darn!" Miso yelled sadly when all three Genin walked to the gates. Their sensei was there, waiting. "He beat us!"

"Well that's good," Mizuki didn't care. "We don't have to wait for him now."

"Are you all ready?" Tobi asked, all of them had a bag behind their backs.

"Always!" Miso punched the air with might.

"Heheh, that's the spirit of youth!" everyone turned to Guy who cheered with joy. He went over to them with a grin; over his shoulders was a boy of three years, his chin plopped over the man's head with a smile. The boy had a round face, black hair like the one that held him. His clothes were green but were a combination of shorts and a shirt. "You see, Ryuu, that's how great ninjas should be like," Guy laughed.

"But daddy, you better than them!" the boy frowned, pulled his dad's hair with great might. Guy let out a yelp and quickly lowered his head, and pulled his son off. Chan rolled his eyes, simply facing away from the scene as his teammates were chuckling.

"Easy there, you have so much energy like your father," Guy complemented with pride, laughing. The little boy was on his feet, grinning at his dad.

"Aww, Ryuu has grown a lot," Miso approached the little boy.

"And he's cute too," Mizuki added.

Tobi waited, arms crossed. He cursed Guy in his mind. Thanks to him, they were going to be delayed for their mission.

"Yeah he's cute, because he isn't wearing that lame outfit his father is," Chan let out simply.

"Heheh, as honest as always, Chan," Guy watched the boy with no negative feelings.

"Dad's clothes are cool!" Chan looked down to see Ryuu, glaring at him before he kicked his leg harshly. Chan gasped and fell to one knee, clutched it as it hurt so much. The boy could surely kick like a horse! Mizuki and Miso now laughed at Chan.

"That's what you get for saying bad things about his dad," Miso teased.

Ryuu glanced at Miso and gave him a grin, his teeth was so white that they shined like a star, letting out a small ping sound too.

Guy was very happy to see his son was defending him, giving him a wink to his direction. He then turned to Tobi who didn't care about what was going around him. Guy approached Tobi and took out a scroll.

"Here, take it," He said. Tobi looked at it.

"What is it?"

"A scroll."

"I know it's a damn scroll…" Tobi said in his cold dark tone. "But what is it for?"

"Kakashi wanted you to have it," Guy said calmly. "You use it and his dogs will be summoned to help you. He wants to make sure the kids are safe and…well…also you know what from being taken…" Guy pointed his own right eye, as if giving the masked man a hint. Tobi frowned, and took the scroll.

"That stupid brat…" Chan grumbled as he walked along with his teammates, their sensei behind them. They were finally outside of Konoha, on the path to accomplish their mission. Well first they had to pick up the girl.

"You deserve it," Mizuki said calmly. "You shouldn't diss people's parents like that. That's very rude."

"Yeah I agree!" Miso laughed. Chan groaned, hated to be lectured by the blonde kid. "Ryuu is awesome, he is very proud of his dad, unlike some people," the boy trailed down with amusement, trying to make Chan feel guilty for hating his dad. Chan glared at him.

"You aren't proud of your father?" Tobi asked calmly behind the kids. Chan sighed, not wanting to talk about it. The masked man wouldn't really care about these things, but he was curious to know.

"He's ashamed of his dad," Miso told their sensei. Chan didn't try to defend himself. Tobi eyed the boy before.

"Why would you be ashamed of him?"

"I don't want to talk to about it," Chan groaned, walking a bit faster from them.

"Why not?"

"Cause there's nothing to talk about," Chan hissed with annoyance.

"Actually there is," Tobi said the same calm tone. "I find it hard to believe you to be embarrassed with a father who would risk anything to protect the people he cares about."

Chan said nothing, grumbling to himself. He remembered all those embarrassing moments his dad would force him to wear that disgusting tight green suit…and how even one time his father had the nerve to cut his hair like his own… It was horrible.

"I agree," Chan said, having a great time of being right about something.

"Whatever…" was all Chan could say. Not even his sensei could change his mind up about his father. Tobi didn't keep lecturing the boy. Then again he did owe Lee gratitude because thanks to him, he would still be rotting in that prison…Tobi frowned at the thought, and pushed it behind his mind.

"So anyways," Tobi was going to drop the subject. "During this mission, I will take each of you individually to train for the Chunnin Exams," this got all the three Genin's attention, turning to him surprise. "I will switch each day with you three, while the two that I'm not with will train together."

"Yay! Chunnin Exams!" Miso yelled with excitement.

"Are you going to teach us new jutsu, sensei?" Mizuki asked curiously.

"Maybe," Tobi didn't want to ruin the surprise.

"Pick me first!" Miso begged, going to his side with a pleading look. It didn't affect Tobi that much.

"I will pick one of you guys randomly tomorrow," he lied as he already knew who he would pick. He just liked to make the kids impatient.

"Fine…" Miso sighed.

"Anyways, let's for now test out how far we can run," Tobi took off from the Genin who were blinking. They stare their sensei run. Chan frowned and chased after him as Mizuki did so too. Miso's head slumped, he hated to run…

"Not so fast, guys!" Miso whined before joining them.

"Naruto, wait," Gaara was behind Naruto who was getting ready to set off as the meeting was over with the Kage. The blonde man was confused.

"What's up, Gaara?"

"I want to understand why you are trying so hard for him…" Gaara began. Naruto sighed, knowing this was about Tobi. "I may know your reasons… You like giving people second chances…And thanks to you, I am a different man than I was before," The red head remembered how he was in the wrong path before Naruto changed him. "But…that man is different. He took your parent's lives, and…" Gaara was silent from listening to his own words. His village attacked Naruto's, started a war with them and many lives were taken. He remembered the speech he had made to all the allied shinobi forces before they went to battle. Every nation had a grudge because there were killings going on between each other. Why did he have a problem with Tobi then? He had made the shinobi army fight together, to forgive each other. So why couldn't they do the same with that masked man?

Naruto smiled, he could tell Gaara understood him now. "I knew you would get to your senses…Because I don't want to remind you how we became friends even after you tried to kill me," the boy laughed. Gaara stared at him.

"But at least…I felt guilty…" Gaara admitted silently.

"Well, the Tsuchikage never apologized by what happened to Tobi in prison," Naruto frowned. "He let the warden rip Tobi's eyes from his sockets…" Naruto could remember the scene when he saw it himself…

"Where's his eyes?!" Naruto snapped at the guards, placed the blindfold back as he knew Tobi wouldn't want anyone seeing his exposed face other than him. Lee was shocked to hear this. Naruto was very angry, he had seen Tobi's eyelids down, but there was a white substance that had dried off around his eyes, it was Tobi's dried up blood. The prisoner was panting weakly as Sakura kept healing his hip.

"He doesn't need it," One of the guards hissed.

Lee glared at him before he teleported in front of him and kicked him against the wall.

"Naruto-kun asked you a question," the Taijutsu specialist said calmly, keeping the man against the wall with his foot on his chest.

The guard was coughing from the harsh blow against his chest. He glared at Lee.

"The warden wanted it," The other guard blurted out, to avoid from getting hurt. "The Tsuchikage gave him permission to take them."

Naruto was enraged. That new Kage really had the nerve to believe he could do anything he wanted. Naruto really had to get Tobi out of here.

"I'm going to meet the warden…" Naruto said coldly. Lee ran inside the cell after Sakura motioned him to come.

"I placed his hip back to place, but I need to treat him from other things," she said. "He won't be able to move himself, so could you please pick him up?" she asked Lee who nodded with a smile. Sakura ripped the rest of Tobi's restraints off. The man only had shorts after this. Lee gently pulled Tobi onto his back, the same way he learned to do when Guy picked Kakashi up years ago. Tobi was unconscious, his head rested on Lee's left shoulder.

"You guys can't do this!" The guy who was kicked took out his sword. Naruto glared at him darkly and this made him freeze to the spot.

"I won't go easy on you guys if you try to stop us," Naruto warned as Lee and Sakura walked out of the cell. Lee made sure he didn't move so much so he wouldn't wake up Tobi. Naruto turned to his friends and stared at Tobi's weak condition. Was this really the same man that was responsible for his parent's deaths? He didn't look intimidating like before, he wasn't as strong as he lacked the powerful eyes that everyone feared. There he was, on Lee's back, broken. Anyone could easily take advantage of him if one wanted to. For some reason, to see this image of Tobi enraged Naruto more. He will get Tobi's eyes back, even if he wasn't really the original owner.

"I will admit what the Tsuchikage did was…wrong," Gaara honestly said.

"Well, of course it was," Naruto was annoyed with that Kage. The Tsuchikage had no good excuse to take Tobi's eyes away. The masked man was already in a high security prison, bounded with chains that would keep him in place with them scientifically draining the man's chakra. "Tobi doesn't talk about it…" Naruto realized that Tobi never seemed to bring it up. He was so silent about it. The masked man easily brought up the anger he had about the seal that was placed upon him, but why didn't he talk about the horrible experienced he went through? Naruto didn't really know the harsh treatment Tobi really went through behind those bars…So how would Tobi be able to forgive others if people couldn't do the same thing for him?

Gaara knew he couldn't be the one to judge others that had made many mistakes. He stared at his friend who was deep in thought. "I should have been in your side back in the meeting, when we took the vote."

Naruto blinked back to reality, and was surprised Gaara said that. It was late to go change the past, but now that Gaara seemed to be willing to help him meant Tobi had a better chance to get the seal off soon.

"Well, there will be another chance later," Naruto grinned. "I made a promise to Tobi, and I'm going to keep it."

A small smile made its way on Gaara's face. "Of course." He knew Naruto would never give up. It was the spirit Gaara looked up to a lot.

Tobi walked into the village where they had to pick up the girl. He had ran the whole day, and didn't break a sweat. Following him was Mizuki, panting, sweat trailing down her face, but did not say a thing about it. Chan was frowning, tired as he carried an exhausted Miso on his back.

"Sensei should have carried you," Chan argued annoyed as Miso gave a tired smile to his teammate.

"What would happen if bunch of ninjas jumped at us while I carried Miso?" Tobi asked. "I wouldn't be able to defend you guys," the man made an excuse.

"I doubt you would lose to them even if we were all on top of you," Mizuki kind of chuckled. She had learned Tobi when he wanted to, could be funny.

"Alright, you can walk now," Chan shoved the boy off of his back. Miso fell on the ground with a grunt.

"Why is everyone so mean to me?" Miso whined as he forced himself on to his feet. "I'm so tired…hungry…and hungry…and hungry…" he would say the word hungry louder each time so his sensei could hear, but Tobi just ignored him. Miso's shoulders slumped, frowning and running to his side. Mizuki, finally able to catch her breath, was looking at the address from the paper they were given for the mission.

"Let's see…" Mizuki looked around; she spotted numbers that were painted on each house door. The village was very small and slightly poor as people wore faded clothes. The houses were made out of bricks though. The girl looked down to the paper, curious to know the details of their client. "The girl we are supposed to escort is named Natsumi," Mizuki read out loud. "She is eighteen."

"I hope she isn't a pain like Miso," Chan sighed under his breath.

"Sensei," Miso tugged on Tobi's left sleeve. "I don't think I can make it…"

Tobi turned to his student. "Miso, we ate few hours ago, I think you will survive in the next couple of hours."

"Are you sure?" Miso leaned on his arm, he groaned while holding his stomach in pain. Tobi didn't remember the blonde kid being so…hungry… Maybe the boy was hitting puberty and his metabolism was boosting up. Oh great… He hoped Mizuki had already gone through puberty. He really didn't want to have an angry typical teenager bitching about everything. Well that was what he heard from people before how girls would act when they hit puberty…then again males also were rebellious. Damn it, this is why he was contempt before for not having his own children...well if he could even have any...

The group walked around the village while Mizuki was looking for their client's house. Tobi at times tried to push Miso off as the boy kept clinging on him.

"Found it!" Mizuki pointed to a certain brown house, it was rather small compared to others around it.

"I hope they feed us…" Miso was still desperate to eat. Tobi finally yanked himself free from the boys grasp and walked with Mizuki to the door. Miso and Chan were behind them.

"Maybe we can ask if we can stay for the night," Mizuki said as the sun was gone from the sky.

"I'm not against the idea," Chan stretched his arms apart, letting the bones crack.

"I want to knock!" Miso ran to the door and pounded on the door to make sure he was heard.

"Not so loud, Miso!" Mizuki lectured with irritation. Miso placed his ear against the door. He wanted to listen if anyone was coming. , They all waited behind it. Tobi looked at the windows that were dark. By this time, lights should be showing behind the curtains.

"No one is in the house," Tobi said.

"Should we wait then?" Mizuki asked. Miso groaned, leaning his back against the door, but then he heard it get unlocked. He quickly pulled away when the door opened up. Mizuki and Chan straightened up, to see a young woman at the doorway. She blinked with confusion, her blue eyes were faded. She was blind. Well that explained as to why the house was pitch black…

"Hum, hello?" she said with a gentle voice.

"Are you Natsumi?" Miso asked, blushing from the beauty she was. The woman had long black hair, ending down to her lower back. She had a round face, made her look very young. She was very thin, and was wearing a night gown. Her skin was a fair tan.

"Yes I am," the woman answered, confused to hear a child's voice. "Who are you?"

"Well we're the ninja who are going to escort you to the other village," Miso explained to her with joy. She was so pretty and it seemed like she was very kind too. This was going to be the best mission ever.

The woman took a moment to answer. "Oh, you're one of the Genin then?" she smiled.

"Yep, and this is our sensei!" Miso pointed at Tobi. Mizuki face palmed from Miso's action. The woman couldn't see. Miso turned to his sensei with confusion as the man didn't say a word… The other two Genin looked at him. This whole time Tobi was dead silent, staring at the woman. It was an awkward sight to see, mostly because they couldn't see Tobi's eyes by the darkness in his holes.

"Hum…sensei?" Miso went over to the man, and poked his stomach.

"Ah! Natsumi-chan!" Tobi yelled in his high pitched childish voice. Miso jumped back with fright. "You are so pretty!" he complimented with excitement, arms wailing around. Mizuki and Chan slowly took a step away from their sensei, uncomfortable and shocked with his change of personality. Natsumi was lost. Based off of his voice…he sounded so young…so…loud…she really hoped the voice did not belong to the boy's sensei...
