AN: thanks to Emmax101 for reviewing! Reviews are love, reviews are life! XD By the way, Ron and Hermione! (Yes I listen to you people, if someone asks for more Ron, I'll give you more Ron, so if anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them!)
This part was actually quite hard to fit in, because I needed the information, but I didn't know how to give it. So this might be a bit strange, when it follows the last chapter, it sort of jumps from one topic to another, but it's a sort of flashback… Enjoy! A longer chapter than last time, I promise!'
Daisy had told her about some Quidditch matches, like the one that contained all the 700 Quidditch fouls. She didn't know what year it was held though, and told Jade to look for the book Quidditch through the Ages in the library. Jade did, but the library was big, she came back after a whole afternoon of searching with only one book about magical fairy tales. Andrew then offered to help her, but they couldn't find it together either. Daisy suggested that they could ask Madam Pince. Jade didn't want to at first, at which Andrew stared at her intently. Uncomfortable under his gaze, she hopped from one foot to the other, blushing. Daisy rolled her eyes impatiently, and walked over to Madam Pince and asked it herself. Andrew and Jade didn't even notice, and when Daisy came back, they were still in exactly the same position.
'It's not in the library, Hermione has it,' Daisy said, startling them both.
'How do you know that?' Jade asked, narrowing her eyes suspiciously.
Daisy shrugged. 'I asked,' she said simply. Then she turned on her heel and walked away. Jade and Andrew shared a look, and followed her out.
Daisy walked into the courtyard, and Jade frowned. It was freezing outside, but Daisy didn't even seem to notice. She buried herself deeper in her cloak, and followed her outside. Andrew also seemed reluctant to go outside without a coat, but joined them regardless. They didn't ask Daisy why she went outside, in fact, they hadn't said a single word since they left the library. The courtyard was forsaken except for two bickering Gryffindors, who seemed first-years as well. When they got closer Jade recognized the bushy-haired girl as Hermione, the one they shared a near-death-experience with. Why was she so mad? Seemingly out of nowhere, Hermione burst into giggles, and the redhead boy who she was yelling at just seconds ago did the same.
Daisy, Andrew and Jade walked over to them.
'Hey,' Daisy said, waving.
'Hey Daisy,' Hermione answered, looking her up and down. 'Aren't you cold?'
Daisy shook her head, amused, but Jade and Andrew silently nodded.
'Here, I have these flames that can be carried around in a jar; professor Flitwick told us about it, remember?'
Andrew nodded meaningfully, but Daisy just said: 'I wouldn't know, professor Flitwick tells a lot.'
They stood with their backs to it, and Jade relaxed a little when she felt the warmth of the flames hit her back.
'Hermione, do you still have the book Quidditch through the ages?' Andrew asked.
'Oh yes, do you want to read it? You can borrow it if you want, I've already read it. Did you know that seekers are usually the smallest and the fastest players? And that they are most likely to get a serious accident?'
'Sounds great, so sweet of the other ones on my team to warn me,' Jade said sarcastically.
Daisy just smiled at that, while Andrew placed a comforting hand on Jade's shoulder, startling her. Again. Andrew frowned, he noticed it as well. Jade made a mental note to be less scared. If only that was as easy as it sounded.
'I'm sure you'll be alright,' Hermione assured her.
'If you want, I will be running around the Quidditch Pitch with a mattress to catch you if you fall,' Ron joked.
Daisy snorted, but was interrupted by an elbow between her ribs, courtesy of Andrew.
'Here,' Hermione said, handing Jade the book, 'it's really interesting.'
'She can borrow it? And I couldn't? Why not?' Ron asked indignantly.
'Well, for one, you've never asked it. Also, I've seen the way you treat your books, it's just barbaric!' Hermione explained, both exasperated and amused at the same time.
At that moment, Snape crossed the yard.
'Why's he limping?' Daisy asked.
Jade shrugged, but Daisy couldn't see it, because all of them stared at Snape, unconsciously moving closer to the fire to hide it. Snape noticed, and limped over to them, a grimace on his face.
'What have you got there, Potter?'
Jade didn't say anything, but showed him the book. He snatched it from her hands, at which she winced.
'Library books are not to be taken outside the school. Five points from Ravenclaw.' He said, with a mean smile plastered on his face.
'How do I know you're not just making this rule up right now?' Daisy asked indignantly.
'And that's another five points for disrespecting a teacher, Potter,' Snape added without looking around.
'I didn't even say that!' Jade said as soon as she was sure Snape was out of earshot.
'Wow, he really hates you,' Ron said, taken aback.
Jade thought of that when she was sitting in the stands, waiting for the players to arrive. She was too early, but no surprise there. Daisy had been talking about this day for a week now, she was really too enthusiastic at times. She was also talking about how much of a dick Snape was for over a week. Even though Jade didn't like it when people spoke ill of others behind their backs, she silently agreed with Daisy. And she wanted that book back.
AN: So, whatcha think? Too confusing, cute, bad, good? Tell me, in a review, and you get a redvine! Also, I finally got a reaction from a beta, so yay!
