BELLA AND JACOB

CHAPTER 25

BELLA P.O.V

"Okay, I'm taking her to meet the guys at work. See you later." I shouted to Jacob as we walked out the door. Savannah looked up at me as I placed her in the car and she gave me a little smile. "We are going to go and see Grandpa Charlie is that okay with you?" I asked her and she smiled in response. I took that as a yes.

When I walked in the door many people came running over to see the baby who looked up at all of them with a confused look on her face and I laughed.

"She's wondering why none of you are grandpa."

"I'm right here." He said pushing through the crowd and taking her from me and bringing her over to his desk where he sat with her.

"When are you coming back to work?" One of them asked.

"A few weeks. My babysitter is still baby proofing their house." Esme had offered to watch the baby while I went to work. I trusted her more than I trust anyone else. I knew she knew what she was doing.

"Who is going to watch her?"

"Esme. Carlisle's wife. You've probably met him, he's here all the time talking to my dad." I answered.

"Oh yes. Dr. Cullen." He said and I nodded my head.

"That's him." I smiled before Edward came through the front door giving me a side hug before rushing over to Savannah and Carlisle followed behind him.

"Hi Bella. How was your trip?" Carlisle asked.

"It was amazing. Thanks for letting us use the house." He smiled at me.

"Anytime." He answered before he went over to Savannah too. Who told them I was here? I was going to go and see all of them after this. My father had already seen her so he happily handed her over to Edward. I loved the relationship she had with all the people in me and Jake's life. She had other people to go to if she didn't want help from me or Jake.

"Thanks for saying hi, Edward." I said smiling at him.

"Well, I haven't seen her in forever. I hugged you." He said and I rolled my eyes laughing.

"Well if that's how people say hi." I said and went to get a cup of coffee. I don't drink much coffee but I was exhausted so it was needed.

"You never drink coffee." Edward said coming over and I nodded at him.

"I'm exhausted." Jake was having trouble changing Sav last night and she screamed for a good half hour before I got up to help and it took another hour to calm her down.

"Maybe you should let me watch her for the night and you and Jacob can have some time to yourselves." He said and I looked up at him. I didn't trust many people with her and I've never been away from her for a whole night. "Come on, Bella. I've taken care of babies before." He said and I just looked at him.

"That's not what I'm scared about. I've never been away from her for more than a few hours and she was in the house with me." I answered and he glanced at me.

"You have to learn to trust other people besides you, Jake and Seth." He answered and I knew I needed to but I didn't want to.

"Fine. One night." I answered. He smiled.

"One night."

*SETH P.O.V*

"What? No! You can't just give her over to them! Why can't I watch her?!" I asked. I didn't like the fact that they were sending Vannah over to the Cullen's for an entire night.

"Seth, we have to learn to trust other people." Bella said to me as she packed a bag for Vannah. "We have to learn that the people in her life will protect her just as much as we will."

"What about the stupid bloodsucker, Calum?" I asked her. Had she like totally forgotten about him? I didn't.

"You even said yourself that he wasn't going to hurt me or her and that you would kill him even if he thought about it. I'm sure Edward won't even put her down the whole time she is there. Someone will always being holding her and I don't think Edward would put her in danger if he thought something was going to happen to her. Jake would kill him." She answered.

"How many times have you almost died because of him?" I asked her and she glanced up at me.

"Twice."

"That's twice too many." I said. "I don't agree with this at all."

"Well you aren't her mother and father. You're just a friend for right now. When you are dating or married then you can make decisions until then, I get to make them." She barked at me. I wasn't sure what to say after that. I knew she was right but I didn't want her thinking that I knew she was. "How long are you willing to wait to date her?" She asked all of a sudden and I shrugged.

"I don't know." I answered and she smirked.

"Well, if you keep this up it's going to be forever." She answered and I frowned. We would probably sneak around anyway so it didn't matter. I never thought I would be fighting with Bella about this. Maybe I should just spend a few days at home and let have some time with themselves and the baby. I walked out of the house and began walking to Charlies.

"What are you doing here? I thought you were spending the day with Sav and Bells." My mom said as I walked through the front door.

"Their plans changed." I answered.

"Why? What happened?" She asked as I sat down at the kitchen table and she placed a plate of cookies in front of me.

"Bella is having Edward watch Vannah while her and Jake have the night to themselves." I answered rolling my eyes. I wasn't very happy about it and I was going to let everyone know that I wasn't happy about it.

"Maybe you should find someone to date before you can date her. You're going to be waiting at least sixteen years. Jacob would kick your ass if he found out that you were messing around with his daughter."

"But I don't want to. I love her and only here. I don't even see other girls now because all I see is her. She means everything to me." I said. I was telling all of this to my mother.

"She's three months old." She said and I looked over at her. "You have a while to wait. I'm sure she would understand."

"Okay say I do meet a girl. We date for a few years, she wants to get married but I want to marry Vannah. How do I explain that I'm a wolf and I want to marry a four year old at the time. How do you explain that to someone?" I asked her and she shrugged.

"What is Quil doing?" She asked.

"He's waiting for Claire." We all had a while to wait. "He thinks the same thing I do. I don't want someone to fall in love with me and me not be in love with them."

"I understand." She said. But did she really though?

*BELLA P.O.V*

I had just dropped Savannah off with Edward and I was now home waiting for Jake to come home. He said he was taking me out to dinner at some new place in La Push that they just opened. I was told I didn't need to dress fancy so I didn't. Jacob walking into the room wearing a black shirt and dark jeans and I smiled. He looked amazing. I wanted to rip that shirt off.

"Are you ready?" He asked and I nodded smiling before he handed me a rose. It was beautiful.

"This is beautiful." I smiled at him placing my hand on his chest and kissing him.

"I know." He smiled at me before he grabbed my hand and he brought me out to the car. It was weird that the baby wasn't in the backseat. "So I heard this place has some some pretty good steak and salad." He said to me. I know how much he liked his steak.

"Oh does it? Perfect place for you." I said and we both laughed.

"Yeah. I know." He answered. I was glad that we were able to have a night to ourselves. I hated leaving my baby with other people.

*FEW HOURS LATER*

Jacob smashed me against the wall as we entered the house.

"No wait." I said as his lips found his way to my neck. "I haven't been taking my birth control." I commented to him.

"Okay. So?" He asked before he went back to my neck and lifted me up and I wrapped my legs around him. I decided to just go with it. Maybe I shouldn't have.

I laid besides Jake and he was snoring in my ear. I shifted myself so I was out of his grip and I went to the bathroom. I was sweating. His body was so hot. Temperature hot I mean. Although it was hot meaning sexy. I looked at myself in the mirror. Was it bad that I was having a hard time sleeping because I haven't heard Savannah make any noise for hours now? I feel like I'm losing my mind.

"Bella, come back to bed." I heard Jacob say before I heard him huff. I went back to him and he had the blanket thrown over his leg so it covered his part but you could still tell he was naked. He held his arms out for me to crawl into them. "What's wrong?" He asked.

"I haven't seen Sav and I'm losing my mind."

"We can get her as soon as we wake up tomorrow. Sleep for now." He said and he spooned me and rubbed my back. I think maybe we needed to have more nights to ourselves. It was nice. I missed my baby girl deeply but I had missed Jake too.
