Ginny had finally arrived at Hagrid's hut. She wanted to ask Hagrid to be the godfather of her unborn son. She sent him a letter asking him if she could stop by for a chat and he eagerly responded by inviting her for some tea at his hut. She knocked on his door. It quickly swung open, revealing the tall giant. Ginny looked up with a bright smile.
"Hi Hagrid."
"Ginny, so good to yer here. Come on in." He said happily as he ushered Ginny inside.
Ginny stepped inside and pat Fang's head.
"Leave yer coat over there. I'll get the tea started."
Ginny took off her coat and hung it on the coat rack while Hagrid began making some tea. Hagrid put the water to boil and turned around to see Ginny. That's when he noticed her round belly. He gasped with a big smile on his face.
"Ginny. Yeh're goin' to have another baby?" He asked excitedly.
"Yup. Harry and I are having another baby." She answered.
Hagrid pulled up a chair for Ginny to sit. Ginny sat down and Hagrid sat down on a stool across from her.
"That Harry musta be excited to have another little Potter running abou'."
"He's very excited. Wanna feel the baby?" She asked.
"Well, if yer don' mind me." He bashfully stuttered.
"Don't be silly Hagrid. Hereā¦" Ginny said as she grabbed one of his massive hands and placed it on top of her round belly.
The baby moved and kicked against Hagrid's hand.
"Whoa, strong little one. How far 'long yeh're at?"
"I'm at 6 months."
"So do you know what yeh're having 'lready?"
"Yes, we're having another baby boy." Ginny answered.
"Ah brilliant." Hagrid celebrated.
"Actually, Harry and I were talking. You know deciding names and what not. And we decided that we'd like you to be our son's godfather."
Hagrid took his hand off of her belly as he gasped in genuine shock. He pointed with his index finger at his chest.
"Really? Me? Yeh want me to be yer son's godfather?"
"Of course we do Hagrid. You're practically family to us. We wouldn't want anybody else but you to be little Albus' godfather."
Hagrid started sniffling rather loudly as a few tears leaked out of his eyes.
"Albus? He's name is Albus?" He asked with a broken voice as he wiped the tears away from his eyes.
"Yeah. We're naming him Albus Severus."
Hagrid started howling and crying out of happiness.
"It's a beau'iful name Ginny. Professor Dumbledore an' Professor Snape would so happy to hear that. Yeh're sure yeh want me as he's godfather?"
"Of course we do. Would you do us the honor of being little Al's godfather?" She sincerely asked.
"Course I will!" He answered excitedly.
They had some tea as Hagrid asked about Harry and little James. Then they discussed the Quidditch championship. Hagrid told Ginny he had a few galleons on the Holly Head Harpies and hoped that they made it all the way. Ginny then told Hagrid she wouldn't be playing in the tournament since she was going to be at maternity leave. But after her last practice the Harpies offered her to come over anyway to see the matches and cheer them on. Then they gave her a couple of gifts for the baby. Her Quidditch teammates were like sisters to her.
"Well Hagrid, I gotta go. Mum's watching over James and Fred. She must be going mad with them. Their magical powers are starting to appear and they're stirring up things up in the burrow."
Hagrid roared in laughter.
"Tha' James and Fred are really goin' to tear Hogwarts apart when they get here."
"No doubt about it. Goodbye Hagrid. I had a wonderful time."
"Thank you an' Harry for makin' me yer baby's godfather. It's a real honor. Feel free to visit any time."
"Will do Hagrid." Ginny said as she smiled and waved goodbye to Hagrid.
