I couldn't believe that I had fought Orochimaru, though then again I also couldn't believe that I kicked his ass. Hell, I even decided to mess with him by drawing on his face! Haha… Anyway, I was finally going to see the big boss though sadly, I have to fight his lackey first… Great.
Once Naruto and Hinata got in the elevator, he couldn't believe that their journey was almost over. It just seemed like yesterday that he had started out on this journey with Hinata and now… here they were. Close to the leader and beat him to save the world. Though, he just hoped that he would be able to beat the leader and save the world. That was something that bothered him for a little while now. The only thing telling him that he was even close to getting to the top was the flashing lights that he and Hinata would pass while in the elevator.
"What do you think the boss looks like?" asked Hinata.
"Maybe he's an ugly man that wanted people to suffer like how he did but with creating Shadow Pokémon instead of doing something to make him feel better." Calmly answered Naruto as he leaned back in the elevator. He didn't know what the purpose to this really was, though at the moment he didn't really give a damn.
All he really wanted was to stop this plan dead in its tracks.
He wanted to make sure that the world would be safe for all Pokémon, no matter what.
But would he be able to do it without losing himself?
'I hope not…' thought Naruto as he ran his hand through his hair. He wasn't sure what he was to expect from getting to the top though all he wanted was to hurry up and get this journey over and done with. Though, that was something that he had wanted for a while now, besides being with Hinata. Looking over at the blue haired woman, the young man couldn't help but smile at Hinata before he pulled her close.
Hinata blushed as she looked up at him for a moment before grabbing the forelocks of her hair and braided it between her fingers as she asked "you okay Naruto?"
"Of course I'm okay Hinata… I just wanted to hold you for good luck." He said with a chuckle before kissing her forehead and looked on ahead. In a way, he was happy that the elevator hadn't gotten to the top yet, knowing fully well that he should use this time to prepare himself and not just blindly rush into battle like he did with Orochimaru. Though, that was to be expected since he knew the kind of Pokémon from Orochimaru. The snake freak both a thing for snakes and of course poison-type Pokémon.
Though with whoever he was to fight with next, he would have to be careful. A wrong move, any wrong move really, could be his very down fall.
Looking up at the roof of the elevator, Naruto closed his eyes as he tried to think on what kind of Pokémon that he would have. His Absol and Blade could use different type attacks so he had some of the other elements covered or types at least covered. Though, he couldn't help but wonder if they would be strong enough to handle battling the next guy that they would fight. Tilting his head to the head, eyes still closed as he tried to envision the man that he would end up battling.
No matter how many times he tried to envision the Pokémon, nothing came to mind. So far he had battled either random types of Pokémon from the same trainer or, they would only choose one type so it made it confusing but at least it meant that it would also be a surprise right?
Inhaling softly yet deeply, Naruto stretched his arms after he let go of Hinata and looked over at Kurama as he saw the small Pokémon lying on his shoulder trying hard to stay awake. In a way, it was kinda cute how Kurama would try to stay awake when long rides such as these tend to make him sleepy so that made him wonder how long he had stayed awake for as long as he has so far.
Stretching, the young man was careful not to disturb Kurama, knowing that if Kurama was bothered while he was half asleep, there was a good chance that Naruto was going to get a bite to the face. That was something he didn't want to have before the big battles with the big man. The leader of Cipher and the man that had been creating Shadow Pokémon and the very man that Naruto had wanted to fight for a good while now.
Taking a deep breath, Naruto checked his pockets for items that he should use in the battle or even his Pokéballs to make sure that he had some to use for capturing Shadow Pokémon. Well, it looked like he had enough Pokéballs to use for the battles that may be ahead of him. Though, what bothered him was why lately people have only been using three Pokémon all together though he just shrugged that off thinking that maybe he was just overthinking things.
Looking over at Hinata, he calmly said "make sure that your Pokémon are ready for the battle at hand okay? If I turn, have them out and get them to stop me and run away if I'm knocked out." Hinata just nodded, knowing about the plan. Naruto knew that he shouldn't have to remind her about it but it was just to make sure that she wouldn't do something risky that would in turn risk her own life. Taking a deep breath, the young man looked up and blinked when he heard a ding and smirked a bit.
"Looks like we've arrived Hinata… get ready for the battle of a life time." Said Naruto with a smirk before he walked out of the elevator.
Shielding his eyes from the bright light, Naruto walked out of the elevator with Hinata and Kurama. He couldn't believe it… he was outside at the top of the tower? Ah well, looking ahead, he couldn't believe who he was seeing. On the other side of the arena, stood the man he saw walking out of the mayor's house…
Naruto glared at him… The man had orange hair, brown eyes and wore a black cloak with red rain clouds that covered not only most of his body but half of his face. Though he remembered him clearly that was for sure. "So… are you the boss?" asked Naruto with a small hint of a growl.
"No, I am not. But I am his second in command." Said the man, his voice sounding almost emotionless. It was as if he was just a shell of a man, someone who must have been through a lot though he wasn't sure what that would have been. The blonde haired young man just kept on glaring at the man, to him it didn't matter anyway if this guy had been through hell and back, he would end this here and now. "Now… to end this…" said the orange haired young man.
"Funny, I was about to say the same thing to you." Naruto said with a hint of a growl.
The man tossed out a Pokéball, making Naruto wonder what kind of pokemon was this guy going to use. It had him curious, this guy in a way resembled a Dark-Type trainer with how quite he was and mostly those in the dark, were quite. Though looks could be deceiving that was for sure.
Naruto narrowed his eyes, his eyes turning red as he felt the dark energy surging through the area. He knew that this was the battle that he had been waiting for… or, at least the one after this would be… "Bring it on whoever you are!" shouted Naruto as he watched the light from the Pokéball start to create an outline of the Pokémon that was starting to emerge from the Pokéball. What he saw made his eyes widen in shock.
Appearing from the bright white light was a pink, bipedal Pokémon with mammalian features. Its snout is short and wide and it has triangular ears and large, blue eyes. It has three-fingered paws, large feet with oval markings on the soles, and a long, thin tail ending in an ovoid tip. Its hair is so fine and thin, it can only be seen under a microscope. It has a long, skinny tail ending with a rounded tip. It has big hind legs and short arms with three-fingered paws.
He couldn't believe what he was seeing. Naruto knew for a fact that he had never caught this Pokémon, if he had, he wouldn't have given this one to his boss, no… a Pokémon like this should remain free and be happy in the wild.
Narrowing his eyes, Naruto shouted "how did you capture a Mew?! A Mew should always be free you asshole!" He couldn't believe this; sure he had captured his fair share of Pokémon in the past but damn it all! Damn, he didn't want to do this but it seemed like he had no choice. He would have to capture Mew but first, he had to defeat the poor thing with a Dark-Type Pokémon in order to finish this battle as quickly as possible.
Easier said than done sadly.
If the stories were true, Mew had the DNA of every Pokémon in the world, it would be able to use any attack even ones that could easily defeat Minato or Absol.
"Yahiko."
"Huh?"
"My name is Yahiko… I thought it would be appropriate for you to know the name of the one who will defeat you."
Oh now this guy was pissing him off. Narrowing his eyes, Naruto reached for his Pokéball, Minato was the best option, at least to weaken him for the time being since if he remembered right, Psychic-Type attacks didn't work on Dark-Types, so he would have the advantage there at least. Though, that was just theory since he couldn't think straight.
His rage was boiling of anyone having a Mew. Not to mention, the fucker never answered him!
"Come on out Minato!" shouted Naruto. Minato shook his thin body after finally being allowed to fight. Naruto knew that the poor guy hadn't being stuck in his Pokéball all the time but sadly, he didn't have a choice since lately; his battles didn't really require just dark based attacks. So it made it harder for him to really battle but he hoped that this was going to be okay for the Dark-Type Pokémon.
"So, you want me to fight a Mew huh? I didn't see that coming…" said Minato as he stared at the Pokémon with a yawn. Was this guy even fazed by the fact Mew was a Legendary Pokémon or was he just bored with the fights that he's been having lately? Oh wait, Minato wasn't involved in a lot of them…
"That's right Minato, but don't let your guard down. This guy must have captured the Mew himself and turned it into a Shadow Pokémon. There isn't any way of knowing what kind of power it will have unless the stories are true. Just be careful buddy." said Naruto, hoping that they would win this fight. Just knowing what could happen if he lost was going to be enough to send him into a bit of a blinding rage though he kept that to himself for the time being.
"Mew… take him down with Shadow Rush." Said Yahiko, his voice still as emotionless as it was before. It was as if he really had no heart.
Mew nodded its small head before rushing toward Minato. Naruto didn't even have time to react to give Minato a command. Though since it was a Shadow Pokémon, it didn't seem like it would use any normal kinds of attacks rather instead it was going to use those attacks that Shadow Pokémon use. It really was a Shadow Pokémon. Minato flew right into the wall, and crumpled onto the ground for a moment before trying to push himself back up.
Rubbing his shoulder, Naruto knew that Minato had braced for the impact by using his shoulder to soften the blow sadly, it wasn't enough. Rubbing his shoulder a little more, Naruto took a deep breath as he said "come on Minato, you can do this! Just get up! Run around in a circle, maybe we can confuse Mew before you can strike."
"Alright…" Minato said with a deep breath before he started to run around Mew, hoping to distract the Pokémon enough. Maybe even confuse it in the hopes that if Mew could get confused that he would have a chance to attack it. Though, he wasn't sure if that would be possible since it was one of the greatest Legendary Pokémon to have ever lived.
Mew just watched Minato, as if trying to figure out where he would appear next. Too bad for Mew, Minato was fast, and it was almost impossible for him to be seen with his speed. Though, the look on Mew's face, it made Naruto wonder if it was still there, deep down screaming for help but he couldn't tell. There was no way of knowing how long Mew had been a Shadow Pokémon since he wasn't the one that had captured it.
Thinking for a bit, Naruto knew that he had to be careful… Even though Mew was a Shadow Pokémon it was still powerful but would Minato be able to handle it? Crossing his arms, Naruto wasn't sure if even Minato's attacks would be strong enough but it didn't hurt to give it a try. "Minato, I know we haven't used this move yet but it doesn't hurt to try. Use Snarl!"
Minato looked nervous but it was a move that they've never used… at least, not in battle. Stopping for a brief second, Minato opened is maw and let out a snarl, the sound was loud and intense. Naruto and Hinata had to cover their ears thanks to the attack. Naruto never knew that this attack would be loud, thankful it wasn't loud as an Uproar… now that attack was painful. In a way, this was like a bite from a Pokémon instead of an attack to hurt your ears.
Mew let out a loud scream as it covered its ears. Naruto felt bad for Mew but sadly, this had to be done before it could cause some serious damage. Deep down, Naruto bet that Mew didn't want to do this as much as he did. That it was just a curious Pokémon that loved to play and help others… that was what he saw anyway.
"Minato, use Faint Attack then swing Mew with your Iron Tail!" shouted Naruto, hoping that the Dark-Type could hear him over his own attack.
Minato nodded as he seemed to have faded from existence. It was rather weird how he could just fade like that but at least Naruto knew where he would end up being. Naruto narrowed his eyes for a moment, wondering where Minato would appear. Mew just looked around as if trying to find him just like he was. Naruto knew that Mew wouldn't be able to find him, it was just how Minato was… he would strike, when the Pokémon would least expect it… or at least, where, he would least expect it.
Suddenly, Minato appeared above Mew, slamming his body into the small Pokémon. Though he wasn't done yet. Oh, far from it, after Minato slammed his body into Mew's, he spun around in a wheel-like fashion as his tail started to glow and slamming it into Mew to slam it into the floor.
Once Mew slammed into the ground, Yahiko started to bark orders for Mew. Telling it to hurry up and attack it again. Mew tried to use another Shadow Rush on Minato, but the Dark-Type didn't give Mew time to react. Oh no, instead Naruto had given him orders for a 'Bite' attack and that was what Minato did. Once he landed, he rushed forward and bit Mew's tail.
Mew screamed as it hovered in the air and tried to pull its tail away from Minato. Though, it would seem that Minato wouldn't let go. Instead, Minato used this to his advantage and slammed Mew into the ground a few times, hoping to knock the poor little thing out though sadly Mew was a fighter, even as a Shadow Pokémon.
Naruto cursed under his breath as he tried to think of another attack that Minato could use… wait… It wasn't a Dark-Type move but it may work. Taking a deep breath, Naruto called out "quick Minato use Hyper Beam before Mew gets back up!" Minato nodded at Naruto's order, knowing that this was the last attack that he had to do in order to take Mew down before Naruto could capture it. Though, that was all in theory anyway.
Taking a deep breath, Minato gathered energy, wanting to make sure that this was the strongest Hyper Beam that he could muster though he also knew that he would have to be fast before Mew would get back up.
"Get up Mew." Shouted Yahiko in his eerily calm voice. It was always rather creepy how Yahiko could do those commands without any kind of emotion whatsoever. It made Naruto's skin crawl in a way.
Though it didn't seem that Mew could react fast enough, for as soon as it could twitch its tiny limbs, Minato had launched Hyper Beam, digging the poor Pokémon further into the ground as it let out a loud scream. In a way, Naruto could feel Mew's pain even without being connected to it though it was what he had to do, in order to save it.
Once Minato's attack was done, Naruto tossed a Snag Ball, and captured Mew. Minato brought back the ball allowing Naruto to sigh in relief… That was one Pokémon down… time for the next one. "Minato you're going to have to return to your Pokéball for now… I promise that I'll treat you to a nice meal afterwards." He said with a smile before calling Minato back to his Pokéball. Looking up, Naruto knew that if he was right, this guy was going to use another Psychic-Type Pokémon and he did have another Dark-Type…
"Come on out Absol!" shouted Naruto.
Appearing out of the light was his second Dark-Type Pokémon; Absol shook his body as if to shake dirt from his snow white coat before turning to Naruto. "So, what do you need me to do this time Naruto?" asked Absol with a yawn.
Yup, Absol was tired, mostly from staying in the Pokéball for so long but at least he was out in the world and able to do some battles. So, that was something at the very least. Turning his gaze onto Yahiko, Naruto saw that the orange haired man tossed out a Pokéball and what came out made Naruto raise his eyebrow.
It was a Ralts, and Ralts is a bipedal Pokémon with a white body. Its body and legs resemble an oversized dress. Its green hair resembles a bowl cut, which covers most of its face. Its hair is split by two flat red horns, a large one toward the front and a smaller one at the back. Lifting its head, Naruto saw under the bowl cut a pair of red eyes.
"A Ralts? Really? You… have a Shadow Pokémon that is a Ralts?" Naruto said, mostly out of disbelief. How was it that the top company like Cipher who had created so many Shadow Pokémon, for the second in command to use a Ralts? Shaking his head, Naruto had a feeling that this battle was going to be easy, since Ralts didn't have that high of defence, especially against a Dark-Type Pokémon. It would be crushed within ten minutes, maybe less.
"Just because it's a Ralts, does not mean it is weak." Said Yahiko with what seemed like a smirk. The blonde haired young man had to admit, it was weird that he could see a smirk from him since that cloak of his did cover most of his face. Though at the moment he didn't care. Shaking his head, Naruto looked over at Absol and saw that he was ready for a fight as well.
"Absol, use bite."
Absol rushed forward, and of course bit Ralts. The small white Pokémon screamed out in pain, making tugging at Naruto's heart strings from the sound itself. Okay, now he felt bad that this Pokémon was in pain but damn it… It wasn't his fault! This guy had it in the first place and now it was tugging at Naruto's heart. Taking a deep breath, the young man was about to give another command until Yahiko calmly said "Shadow Rush."
Eyes widening in shock, Naruto saw Ralts lifting its hand, and punched Absol in the face. Sending him flying a few feet before he jumped back up onto his feet. Okay, that was something that he hadn't been expecting but at the moment he didn't care. All he would need to do is to weaken it and then he can capture it before ending this match. "We're going to have to be careful Naruto." said Absol as he let out a soft growl.
Nodding, Naruto knew that he would have to be careful. Maybe they could do just distance attacks that would help him take down the Ralts. After all, Ralts wasn't really that good until it evolved. Taking a deep breath, Naruto calmly said "attack with Shadow Ball!" With that said, Absol roared and created a dark sphere of energy before launching it at Ralts.
Ralts was slow, thanks to that little problem; Ralts tripped over its own dress-like legs and was blasted by the Shadow Ball. Naruto was happy for that but sadly that wasn't going to be enough. Narrowing his eyes, Naruto knew that this was going to be an easy battle but he also knew that there wasn't much he knew about Ralts effects of turning into a Shadow Pokémon. Some of them had been turned into killing machines like Absol was and of course most of them tend to get carried away.
Taking a deep breath, Naruto calmly said "use Toxic, maybe we can slow it down with poisoning it." He knew that he couldn't just do that but he had to at least slow it down some more so the attacks would be more affective and the capture will be complete. Everything will be perfect that was for sure though he just hoped that it would be enough… at least he hoped that would be the case.
"Absol, try using Ice Beam, maybe we can freeze Ralts and take it to the Pokémon Center later." said Naruto, knowing that if they couldn't fully slow it down maybe they could freeze Ralts. That was the next best option at the moment. Taking a deep breath, the young man watched as Absol rushed forward toward Ralts, though the steps were moving in a zigzag motion as if trying to confuse it. Well, that was interesting so maybe that was how it was to confuse the poor Pokémon.
A ray of light blue energy shot out of Absol's mouth and hit Ralts dead center. Naruto heard the scream from Ralts until it soon started to go quite and soon it had gone silent. Naruto knew that he didn't kill it, though it still made him nervous thinking that somehow he did end up doing that.
Once Absol stopped his attack, Naruto looked on ahead and smiled when he saw that Ralts was indeed frozen, its face was frozen in its screams but that was good enough for him. Taking a deep breath, he tossed the Pokéball and captured it without any troubles.
"You have done well so far Naruto… my master had a right to have his sights on you. Now… you will face my last Pokémon." Said Yahiko before he tossed out his last Pokéball. Naruto wondered what kind of Pokémon he was going to have this time. But then again, it wouldn't matter. Absol would take it down without a problem.
"Naruto… I think it may be a different type. Some trainers have more than just the one type to confuse other trainers." Whispered Hinata.
"Don't worry Hinata, everything will be fine." Said Naruto with a big grin before turning back to Yahiko as he tossed out the Pokéball.
The bright light disappeared, and in its place was a quadruped Pokémon with four stubby legs and a large round head. Its body is black with plates of gray armour covering its head, back, and legs. Throughout its body are small openings in the armour. There are six openings on its head, with the largest two being openings for its pale blue eyes, and one opening on either side of the spike on its back. A single, blunt spike protrudes from its back.
"Or you could be right… If I remember right that's an Aron… they are a Steel and Rock type right? Or was it Steel and Ground…" Naruto frowned a bit, trying to remember which one it was… Shaking his head, he thought that it didn't matter. He would have to be careful… but he couldn't fight with Absol this time. Since he didn't think any Fire-Type moves would work on him with it being part… rock or ground, Naruto called back Absol and tossed out another Pokéball. "Come on out Blade!" shouted Naruto.
"So I'm fighting a small fry this time? Really Naruto?" asked Blade after he was set free from his Pokéball.
"Sorry Blade, but it's a Shadow Pokémon, don't you feel its dark energy?" Naruto calmly said with his arms crossed over his chest. Looking back at the Aron, Naruto knew that just because it was tiny, this was strong. An Aron had strong defence, but not against Fighting-Types. Though it made him wonder if Blade was ready for another battle since he did just evolve not that long ago. "Ready though Blade…?"
Blade nodded, he smirked a bit before getting ready to strike.
"Shadow Rush!" shouted Yahiko. So the man could show emotion after all. Maybe it was because he was close to losing his last Pokémon. Smirking a bit, Naruto watched as Aron rushed forward. It wasn't slow though wasn't all that fast either.
"Counter with Force Palm and strike with Aura Sphere!" shouted Naruto watching as his Pokémon did just that. Rushing forward, Blade held out his palm as it glowed a bright white and shoved it forward as if to stop Aron. Which he did more than that, for Aron flew a few feet away from Blade. Once Aron had landed on his side, Blade created the Aura Sphere in his palm before throwing it at Aron.
"Shadow Rush Aron!" shouted Yahiko. Though it seemed that Aron couldn't react fast enough for the Aura Sphere had met its mark and exploded upon impact. Aron seemed a little shaky stubby legs and tried to charge at Blade.
"Close Combat! shouted Naruto.
Blade narrowed his eyes as he charged forward and didn't just slam his paws into Aron's face but also swung his legs in what looked like a low sweep. Naruto had to admit, Blade was fast and good, and he wasn't giving Aron enough time to attack back. He kept blocking all of his hits as if they were nothing though he just hoped that Blade wasn't getting full of himself.
Looking up, Naruto saw that Aron was trying to get back up though he had a feeling that there would be something more to this battle… Like he was being observed though he wasn't sure for that matter. Maybe it was just a stupid feeling and nothing more. Taking a deep breath, Naruto knew that he would have to think of one last attack that could finish this battle off once and for all.
Looking over at Blade, Naruto saw that he was just itching for this battle to be over and done with, and he couldn't blame him for that either. He knew that this was the battle of a life time, to fight one of the two leaders of this place even if he was only second in command. After him, he was sure that he would have to fight the big boss, the head cheese… the big man. Though that was only if the guy even showed up and would fight back in the first place.
Taking a deep breath, the young woman man looked over at Blade for a moment before smirking and looked ahead at Aron as he looked ready for the final blow so he could capture the Shadow Pokémon. Taking a deep breath, Naruto called out "Low Sweep!" This was going to be fun that was for sure.
Blade rushed forward, running with such speed that he was nothing more than a blur. Naruto smirked when he saw Blade suddenly duck down and swung his leg as if to sweep Aron off his stubby legs and have him roll around on the ground. Aron stumbled on his feet, as if trying to get steady though from the looks of it, Aron was finished. Naruto knew that this was the chance he had been waiting for and now he could do it… he could capture this Pokémon and then he can purify it later on.
Throwing the Pokéball, Naruto called out "you're mine Aron!" He knew that this was the happiest day of his life, though he knew that it was amazing that he hadn't been controlled by the darkness yet but he wasn't complaining. Soon, he smiled when he saw that the Pokéball had captured Aron and he smiled happily at the thought of it.
"Very good Naruto… you've captured so many of the Shadow Pokémon I've created but… If I had known you would have been a thorn in my side I would have captured you the moment we met."
Eyes widening, Naruto saw someone walking up behind Yahiko… when the man was coming into view, Naruto couldn't believe who he was seeing right now.
