I lie awake in my bed, unable to sleep. It's almost midnight, and I don't understand why I'm getting this uneasy feeling that's causing me to stay awake and alert. I can't shake off the feeling, so I get out of bed, change out of my pajamas, grab my katana just in case, and go for a walk. I climb out my window and jump out onto the streets. The moon is really bright tonight, and it's pretty breezy. I walk down the lonely streets of Konoha and end up on the main road that leads to the village entrance. As I walk along, I notice two figures ahead of me. They seem to be talking. I stop in my tracks and strain my ears to listen to what those two are saying. I move a little closer, and see that the two figures are Sasuke and Sakura. I listen in on their conversation.
"Sasuke, please stay! If not, take me with you!" Sakura pleads.
"Sakura, I have to do this on my own. Please understand." Sasuke says.
I can hear Sakura sobbing and crying.
"Sasuke, don't go! If you take one more step, I'll scream!" Sakura threatens.
Just then, Sasuke teleports behind Sakura and says, "Thank you," while knocking her out and placing her on the bench next to them.
He doesn't seem to notice me because after he places her on the bench, he starts walking towards the gate again.
"Where do you think you're going?" I ask with my arms folded across my chest.
Sasuke whirls around and says,
"Don't try to stop me, Takara."
"Oh I'm not an easy opponent. Unlike the girl who has been knocked out by the love of her life because she was crying and threatened to scream." I say while rolling my eyes.
Sasuke sighs and says,"Of course I know that. So, what's your threat if I leave the village?"
"Oh y'know, if you're leaving the village because Orochimaru promised you power, you must know that he wants your body. In fact, little boys turn him on. So, if you leave because you want power so badly and you're willing to give up your own body, and if he wants your body that badly, I will cut you up, rip you to shreds, burn you to ashes, then I will deliver you to Orochimaru."
"Dang... what a threat..."
"Oh it's not a threat. If you take one step further, it's a promise!"
Sasuke whips out a kunai and says,
"Bring it on."
I whip out my sword and say,"You're gonna regret it."
I coat my whole body with heat that would melt any metal substance and there's a fiery glow around me. Sasuke throws his kunai at me, and with just a thrust of my hand, the kunai reduces to ashes. With one swift movement, I leap into the air and use my weight to push Sasuke onto the ground. I shove my knee into his chest and close my hands around his neck. I lowered the fire temperature of course, but I'm still burning him. He gasps for air and croaks,
"You're killing me..."
"Hell would I care!" I reply harshly, but I loosen my grip and knee him hard in the stomach. He coughs, and I punch him in the face, hard enough for his face to swell up immediately. Since one hand went to his face already, he can breathe again and he manages to kick me off him. I land on my back, and he attempts to escape but I'm already in front of him. I use my katana to slice his cheek, and I use the hilt of my katana to give him a black eye. He swings at me, but I duck and kick him in the crotch. He howls and curses while falling over. I hold my katana inches from his neck and I say,
"You've already fallen. Either you listen, or this is where you die."
"You're not gonna kill me." Sasuke says confidently.
I press the katana against his neck and apply pressure, making a small cut open in his neck and causing some blood to spill out.
"Friends don't kill each other." Sasuke states.
"Friends don't betray each other and try to join the enemy without notice! That's more like a traitor to me." I reply.
"We're from the same clan! We're the last of our clan. Would you really kill me? You're worse than Itachi then!"
"I know your brother more than you do... whether you believe it or not is your choice."
"What-"
"Agh!"
Sudden pain overwhelms me, and I drop my katana. The pain is coming from my shoulder! It's the curse mark! I thought I had control over it! Is fucking Orochimaru doing this so Sasuke can escape from me?! Sasuke jumps to his feet and says,
"Takara, maybe you should consider going to Orochimaru. He can give you power."
He picks up my katana and holds it at me. While clutching my shoulder, I say in a strained voice,
"True power is what you gain by yourself. If you leave now, just remember that I will hunt you down and kill you. It won't be a quick death."
"I don't think you're the one to talk right now." Sasuke says.
The pain forces me onto my knees, but I manage to yank my katana away from Sasuke, and stab my curse mark with full force. Sasuke's eyes widen, and I let out a painful breath. I would never cry out in pain. I'd just handle it. Blood is oozing out from m wound, and I yank the katana out, invest my chakra in it, and throw it at Sasuke's feet. A ring of fire surrounds him, and I say, "If you don't listen to me now, later you will realize your life is a lie, and by then it'll already be too late."
Sasuke stares at me for a long time, then closes his eyes and whisper,"Takara, I'm sorry."
Then, he steps out of the ring of fire and runs out of the village. In anger, I shout,
"Son of a bitch!"
I force myself onto my feet despite the blinding pain, and I stagger after Sasuke.
I scream,"Bitch, come back here!"
My blood is leaving a trail behind me, and I press my left hand against it. I throw my katana again, and it cuts down three trees in front of Sasuke which collapse and burst into flames. Suddenly, I have an idea. As much as it hurts, I let my curse mark engulf me, and when it does, I pounce on Sasuke and sink my talons into his chest, causing his blood to ooze out and mix with my own blood which is still trailing down from my shoulder and some drips onto his face. Suddenly, I feel a kick to my chest and I'm sent a few feet back. I struggle to sit up, and I see four sound ninja staring at me, all around Sasuke.
"Oh dear... Lord Orochimaru is not gonna like the fact that you've been badly injured. Has a girl actually got the best of you?" One sound ninja says.
"Don't be stereotypical about girls!" I growl.
"Sakon, let's go. This is a waste of time." Another says.
"Wait, this is the other Uchiha Lord Orochimaru mentioned!" The female sound ninja says.
"Tayuya, he just wanted the male one. He told us it would be great if we could get her as well, but he primarily wants the boy. He stated that she would be too hard to get." One sound ninja says.
Suddenly, I feel lightheaded. I hear Sasuke say,
"Forget her. Let's get going."
When he makes eye contact with me, he looks remorseful. He looks so remorseful that it almost seems like he wants to cry. Then, all of them leave, and I stagger to chase after them, but everything goes black.
