The Empire Arrives

The flagship sat in space (zoom in).

"The Pirate Rangers failed," Vekar muttered, "How could they fail? Father sent them himself!"

"It's been a week," Vrak muttered, leaning against the back wall, against the raised platform at which Dravo stood, operating the controls, "Get over it."

Vekar turned furiously towards his brother, "Why should I?" he shouted, "They should have destroyed the Rangers!"

"Calm down, and realize how large of an attack force you have," Vrak told him, "Send them out."

"This is my ship!" Vekar shouted, "I decide on what we do, not you!"

"Your brother is right, my Prince," General Sydo said as he stepped into the room, "An attack now would be best. All you're doing by sitting here and…contemplating the failure of the Pirate Rangers is giving the enemy more time to prepare. We should attack; put all of our weight down at once."

"Not all of it," Vekar muttered, "But a large attack force."

"Not all of it?" Vrak asked his brother, "That's not like you."

"I learned a few things in the academy," he hissed.

"So did I." He looked at the closest Metin and eyed its weapon, "Shall I show you again?"

"I learned military strategy," Vekar hissed, gesturing to his chest, at the emblems, "These are medals! Look at them, and how much they represent!"

"Medals mean nothing," Vrak said.

"They mean more than those feathers of yours," Vekar told him, then gestured, "What do those even mean?"

"A bird is graceful, fast, and can strike from above at its prey without any warning. These feathers are of the sacred winged beasts of various planets who held birds in high regard. They give me some power."

"They make you look ridiculous."

"Your medals may look impressive, but to someone who knows you, they mean nothing," Vrak said.

"Princes," Sydo growled, "Please, stop this and focus on the task at hand!"

Vrak nodded once.

"Go," Vekar told the General, "Go and do your thing."

"Understood," Sydo said, giving a bow before turning and exiting the chamber.

"I'd feel much better if he were making the plans, not you," Vrak told his brother.

"I don't care what you think, or what would make you feel better," Vekar said, "This is my ship. If you want to be in charge, go to Malkor's. It's out there, somewhere," he gestured out to space, via the window, "But of course, you'll be alone."

"I much prefer it here," Vrak said, "And soon enough, your crew will see who they should be listening to."

Vekar gripped the arms of his chair tightly for a moment, and then let go. He had to control himself around his brother. He couldn't let Vrak get the better of him.

The ships started to come over the city and began to open fire. Buildings started to explode from continual heavy fire as the ships just continued to fly over. On the ground, Metins and their stronger counterparts, the Kraves, began to move in, operating as a large ground force.

A teacher ran into the classroom, which was shaking a little, along with the rest of the school, "There's an alien invasion!" he shouted, "Everyone, stay indoors! We're going to lock everything! Just stay quiet and stay low!" And then the teacher ran off, but they could hear him shouting it to another classroom.

The Rangers looked at each other, while others talked amongst themselves about this development. Mr. Burley looked at his students, "I won't let any harm befall you! That's my oath as your teacher! So, we're going," he said, "to…um…the basement! Yes, the basement! Hurry!" He ran to the door and urged his students to follow him.

Troy was one of the last to rise, and went slower to the door, but then grabbed the others and pulled them back as they started to exit.

"This has to be part of the Empire," he told them, "Their evil Rangers lost, so they're sending down a bigger attack. We have to stop it."

"Of course we do," Noah said.

"So, what's the plan?" Jake asked.

"We're going to Morph and head right out," Troy said.

"The building shook," Gia said, "Do you expect us to take the Megazord into the sky and attack?"

"If we have to," Troy said.

"We still don't know what we're doing with it though," Emma told him.

"She's right," Noah agreed.

"I know…," Troy muttered, "Look. Let's deal with the ground forces first, and then figure it out." He looked out into the hall and could see Metins walking past the windows. He drew his head back in, "They're here…"

"Then let's stop them," Jake said.

"Protect the school," Noah agreed.

Troy nodded and everyone drew out their Morphers. "Mega Morph!" they said, transforming. They ran into the hallway and watched as a series of Metins broke into the building, axes raised.

Troy drew his sidearm, "Take them down!" he called, opening fire alongside the others. The Metins didn't get much of a chance to raise their weapons as the blasts struck them, taking them down.

More came in and ran towards the Rangers. Some went down, but some made it through the fire and attacked.

Troy ducked and kneed one in the chest before pushing it back and spinning to kick it. Noah ducked one's swing and threw it to the ground before shooting it once in the back.

Jake ducked and swept its legs out from under it while Gia blocked the swing down with her blaster and then gave it a few rapid punches. Emma parried the axe twice with her blaster and span around before firing straight into the Metin's chest to take it down.

"Let's go," Troy said, looking at the downed Metins, "I hate to leave the school, but we have to go and help everyone else."

The Rangers nodded, not going to argue with him. They all knew they wanted to stay and help defend the school, but everyone else was in danger. They had to go and keep fighting, not just stay here and hold down one position.

As soon as they exited the school they ran into another small patrol. The Metins and Kraves ran for the five Rangers.

"Make short work of them!" Troy shouted as he loaded a card along with the others. They snatched their weapons and ran forward, shouting.

Troy ducked Metin's swing and slashed it down the side, before spinning and blocking the claw of a Krave. He kicked it back and then got two swift slashes into its chest.

Noah span his bowgun around to block a Krave's claw, and then leapt back. He flipped it around and fired a few times, bending his arrows into the Krave and three Metins, taking them down.

Jake swung his axe down a Metin's chest, dropping it. He span and parried a Krave's claw, but the second one knocked him flat. As it punched down, he blocked with the flat of his axe, and then kicked it hard in the chest. As it stumbled back, Jake rolled forward and slashed it through the chest.

Gia slashed a Metin's weapon from its hands with her claw, and then span around to slash a Krave in the chest. She span again to slash the Metin down, and then span, plowing a yellow energized claw attack into the Krave.

Emma fired at pointblank into the Krave until it dropped, and then span around, parrying the Metin's axe. She pushed back and slashed it across the chest with the ridge of her weapon, and then fired right into the metal soldier's chest to take it down. She span, taking down two more at her side.

"Go!" Troy shouted, cutting down one more Metin. He followed the others as they ran through the destroyed buildings, heading towards wherever the attacks were hitting.

More Metins and Kraves landed on the ground nearby people, who shouted and ran upon seeing them. General Sydo landed behind them with a grunt. He came up and lifted his weapon to his right shoulder, "I'm getting too old for this," he muttered as he let loose missiles from his weapon, sending them flying at all of the buildings around him.

Sydo walked along with Metins at his side.

The Rangers continued to shoot and cut down Metins around them as they ran. People kept running in fear, and the Rangers kept pointing back, the way they had just come from.

"It's safer that way!" Troy was shouting.

"We've been beating them!" Emma told them, "Go that way!"

Jake pointed ahead, "Look at that big green guy!" he shouted.

Troy stopped and drew his sidearm, "Looks like someone we should be worried about," Troy said, lifting his weapon and firing. The blast struck the ground by his feet.

[Gokaiger 2. 12:27-12:29]

Sydo turned and walked in their direction, letting out a low growl.

The Rangers came together and lifted their weapons as Sydo approached them. "So, you're the Power Rangers," Sydo said.

"And who are you?" Troy demanded, "The leader?"

"My name is General Sydo, so you could say that, yes," he told the Rangers.

"General?" Noah asked, "So if we take you down…"

"The invasion will not stop," Sydo said, "Not until the Princes are eliminated, not until all of the command structure is crushed. But I know combat better than any of them. I've seen so much in my time; you have no hopes of defeating me."

"We'll see," Gia said.

"We shall," Sydo growled.

The Rangers lifted their weapons and shouted as they ran in at him. Troy leapt forward and slashed, but Sydo moved back, and then rocked forward and punched him in the chest, throwing him back.

Troy shouted and hit the ground hard, rolling and losing his grip on his sword, "He's…he's so strong…"

Gia and Emma shouted as they came in. Emma leapt off of Gia's back and fired while Gia went in low for a slash. Sydo span to the side and kicked Gia before jumping and punching Emma as she came down.

Noah came in and swung his bowgun while it rested down his arm. Sydo continued to move back to avoid it before catching it and kneeing Noah in the chest. He grabbed Noah by the upper arm and span, throwing him to the ground.

Jake shouted as he came in, swinging his axe. Sydo caught it, but Jake let go and tackled Sydo, but the monster barely moved.

"I have the edge in strength," he hissed, grabbing Jake by the scruff of the neck. He slammed Jake down and then stomped on his back.

Sydo let out a sigh and lowered his cannon weapon, "Well, I guess it's the end for you five…"

"Everyone!" Troy shouted, "Now!"

Before Sydo could pull the trigger, the five Rangers teleported.

Sydo sighed and lowered his weapon, "Very well," he growled, "Run, fight again later. It'll be the same result, no matter what." He looked at the Metins and Kraves nearby, "Come! We will continue the attack!"

"At least the command center is safe," Noah said as he put his helmet on his console and looked around; making sure that everything was sealed.

"What good does it do us other than protecting the weapons?" Jake questioned, "I mean, we don't have the Phantom Ranger anymore! What do we do, just come back here when we lose? When we need to rest?"

"That's precisely what we do," Noah said, and then looked to Troy, "Right?"
"I don't know," Troy said, shaking his head as he set his helmet down, "I just don't know…I hate to admit that. But…"

"We'll figure this out," Gia said, "We can defeat those soldiers. We just have to stop all of them, that's the hard part of it. But we've been winning so far."

"The only problem is their commander," Emma agreed, "But we can avoid him. Or use Shining Mode. Or Legacy Mode!"

Troy nodded, "We can do that, but what about the ships? The city is being blown apart from the sky, and we can't do anything about it!"

"We'll figure out what to do," Noah said, hurrying to his console. He moved his helmet and got to work, "I think I can get us somewhere."

"Just work quickly," Troy said, sounding agitated, "We're fighting too many threats. Their commander, the soldiers, the ships…and of course, we have Vrak. And…he mentioned multiple Princes. There's at least one more. And another command structure. We saw Hexatrix and a robot thing when we fought the Pirates…"

"We defeated the insects, the Orgs, and the machines," Gia reminded Troy, "We can beat all of this as well."

"But when does it stop?" Troy questioned, "When do we finally admit that we're being overworked? Overwhelmed? We've defeated three enemy types already, and now we're facing more! We're failing this city as long as we do nothing, and even if we go and fight, they can still hit the city, and we can do nothing about it! We're only five…we're not an army, not like the old Rangers were. We can't stop this."

"We can and will stop this!" Gia shouted at him, "The Troy we all know and look up to wouldn't talk like this! Now, just take a step back and look at the rest of us. We're all tired, all wounded, all of us are wondering what's going to happen. You're our leader. We look to you for support. Now, look at us. We're not complaining, we're fighting onward. Look at us and follow our lead. You've been leading us for so long, now it's your turn to follow our lead!"

Troy looked at the faces of the other Rangers, and then reached for his helmet. He tucked it under his arm and nodded once.

"We can't let them beat us," he said, shaking his head, "No…" He put his helmet back on, "Guys, let's go."

They all replaced their helmets and teleported.

[Gokaiger 2. 13:37-13:43]

Sydo and his soldiers kept moving and Sydo began to loose more missiles, blowing up some trucks. They continued into an industrial area, at which point Sydo turned.

The Mega Rangers stood at the other end of the street, no weapons in hand.

[Gokaiger 2. 13:49-13:53]

"You've returned?" Sydo questioned, "I admire that you've come to face a proper end."

[End Sentai footage]

"We're going to take you down this time," Troy told him, "We're the Power Rangers! We won't lose!"

"I've known warriors like you in the past. All of them fell," Sydo told them, "But show me what you can do!"

The Metins and Kraves ran towards the Rangers, who stood their ground.

"Alright guys!" Troy said, summoning the Dragon Dagger, "Let's do this!"

"General Sydo will see to them," Vekar said.

"Perhaps," Vrak said, "But unless you converge all of the forces on the Rangers, I doubt it."

"There's five of them, and General Sydo is one of our most seasoned leaders!" Vekar told his brother.

"I know what the Rangers are capable of. And weren't the Pirate Rangers supposed to destroy them? Look what happened to them…"

"General Sydo is better," Vekar hissed.

"Do not underestimate them," Vrak said, "They have yet to show their full power, after all…"

Troy (MMPR Green suit) slashed through Metins and stopped (Green as he fights, back to Mega Red as he finishes his combat) as they fell and exploded.

Jake (MMPR Black) slashed through his opponents with his Power Axe, and rolled to the side. He came up and fired from the Power Axe, destroying them. They fell, exploding (back to Mega Black as explosion fades to reveal him).

Noah ducked the swings of a Krave and Metin and span around, slashing both across the back with his sword (NS Green) and parried their attacks. He was pushed back, but finally stopped and pushed their attacks back before slashing through their chests and cutting them down (Mega Blue).

Emma ducked the swings of two Metins (DT White) and span around, kicking one back. She slashed the other one twice, and then moved in on the one she kicked, slashing it across the chest and running through it. It fell, exploding (Mega Pink).

Gia slashed with Saba, knocking the Metin's weapon out of its hand (MMPR White). She kicked it back and span around to slash the other one down that was behind her. She span again to cut down the first one, causing them to explode (Mega Yellow).

Sydo walked around the corner and lifted his weapon, opening fire with missiles.

As the missiles flew for the Rangers, Troy leapt back to the others, "Drill Blaster!" he shouted, grabbing the weapon as it appeared in his hands.

The others got behind him and grabbed his back to help brace him. The weapon charged and fired (all Ranger suits replaced with OO suits, colors corresponding), destroying the missiles in the air.

Troy lowered the Drill Blaster (back to Mega) and looked at Sydo, who lowered his weapon.

"Fine then," he growled and moved forward.

[Gokaiger 2. 16:58-17:01]

He threw his hand forward, "Here's a barrage then!" he shouted, letting loose a large number of missiles.

"Tricera Shield!" Noah shouted, grabbing the shield. He moved in front of them (DT Blue) and lifted the weapon, taking the explosions into the weapon. The others braced him and held tight, but were all pushed back. Still, they remained on their feet instead of being knocked to the ground.

He lowered the shield (Mega Blue) and the others stepped forward. Gia threw her hands out, "Ptera Grips!"

"Power Sword!" Troy shouted.

"Power Axe!" Jake shouted, thrusting his weapon forward.

"Power Lance!" Emma shouted.

The five Rangers stood together (in order: DT Blue, DT Yellow, MMPR Red, MMPR Black, MMPR Blue-female version) and lifted their weapons, rushing towards Sydo.

Noah thrust the shield out, but Sydo stepped back and kicked forward. Noah took the kick onto his shield and held it tight.

Gia leapt off of his back, shouting as she came down. She slashed Sydo in the chest, knocking him back, giving Jake a chance to roll in and fire into his chest repeatedly. Sydo stumbled back, shouting.

Troy and Emma came in at once, both of them slashing and spinning, then thrusting to knock him back.

The Rangers came together and lifted the Bullzooka (all Samurai), firing once with a shout.

The blast slammed into Sydo, throwing his cannon off of his shoulder and destroying it in mid-air.

"I'm not done yet!" Sydo shouted, thrusting his left arm out. Blades came off of it.

The Rangers came back and threw their arms forward.

"Legacy Mode!" they shouted, erupting into golden light. When it faded, they wore the armors of their predecessors.

Sydo shouted and rushed towards them. He swung, but Troy caught it on his Dragon Dagger and pushed back. He ducked the next swing and rolled under.

Gia came in and threw a high kick in, knocking Sydo's arm up. She twisted and turned it into a side kick, knocking him back, right into Emma's sword slash as she ran past his back.

He shouted and span to Emma, but Noah leapt down his back, slashing him. He span, backhanding, but Noah ducked. Jake shouted and swung low, but Sydo lifted his leg. That left him open for Troy to sweep out his other leg, taking him down, and then Jake rammed his staff into Sydo's chest.

Sydo kicked Jake back and came to his feet. He found himself face-to-face with the Electro Booster, however.

The Rangers braced Troy, who was wielding it (TF suits) and fired with a shout.

Sydo was thrown through the air, shouting.

The Rangers formed the Blazer while in Legacy Mode. As Sydo rose again, they fired with a shout, blasting him right in the chest.

Sydo's body began to spark as he clutched at his chest. He groaned and began to tilt.

"We got him," Troy said.

"No!" Vekar screamed, "General Sydo! How dare they! How dare those Rangers defeat him like this!"

"I'll summon Zombats," Vrak said.

"No need," Hexatrix said, typing on a control panel, "This ship is equipped with a better method. It'll increase his power, unlike a Zombat." She drew out a small pistol-like object, connected to the panel.

"Fine then," Vrak said, crossing his arms.

[Gokaiger 2. 18:58-19:07]

Cannons emerged from the twin horses of the flagship and expanded. Hexatrix pulled the trigger, causing energy to fire down to the Earth.

The energy struck the defeated Sydo's body. He began to move again.

[Gokaiger 2. 19:10-19:23]

He came to his feet and shouted as he began to enlarge. The beam also caused three Kraves to enlarge.

The Kraves began to blast everything around them as they stood enlarged with Sydo (note: cut out Gokaigers in the foreground. It should be possible, since this is clearly two different pieces of footage).

"We need the Megazord," Jake said.

"How do we summon it though?" Emma asked.

Noah drew out his Morpher, "I've worked that out," he said, showing them a card, "I made this. It'll respond with the Pirate Zords, just like the old Zords responded with their cards." He loaded it into his Morpher and thrust it up, "I'll get some for you guys later. Assuming this works…"

[Gokaiger 2. 19:30-19:31]

The red Zord flew through the clouds.

The Mega Rangers drew up their Morphers and teleported, landing beside their panels in the cockpit.

[Gokaiger 2. 19:40-19:43]

The ship flew towards he combatants. The Kraves turned to look.

[Gokaiger 2. 19:45-19:50]

"Fire!" the team shouted as the cannons mounted on the side opened fire on one of the Kraves, pretty much blasting it into submission.

[Gokaiger 2. 19:51-19:54]

The ship turned and slammed into another Krave.

[Gokaiger 2. 19:55-19:59]

The ship turned and kept flying, opening fire on the others, forcing them to respond and Sydo to growl in pain.

"I think it's time to combine," Troy said.

The others all nodded, "Right," they said. Each of them reached down and activated something on their panels.

[Gokaiger 2. 20:04-20:18]

The other Zords emerged from the red Zord, and moved around it, moving in on the two Kraves and Sydo.

They fired on the Zords, but to no affect.

[Gokaiger 2. 20:19-20:21]

The green and blue Zords returned fire, blasting one Krave.

[Gokaiger 2. 20:23-20:27]

The yellow and pink Zords fired as well, striking the same Krave and knocking it back. It exploded.

[Gokaiger 2. 20:33-20:35]

The Zords came together in space and flew around each other.

[Gokaiger 2. 20:39-20:52]

The Zords came together, forming the arms and legs of the Megazord.

[Gokaiger 2. 20:53-20:57]

The Megazord put its hat on.

[Gokaiger 2. 20:59-21:17]

The Megazord came down, both swords in hand. Sydo shouted as it landed and evaded their attacks while slashing at both the Krave and the warrior.

The Megazord landed opposite of them, but Sydo ran forward with arm blade, shouting as he swung. The Megazord parried and scored a few shots on his body before turning to stab at the Krave, fighting both at once.

[Gokaiger 2. 21:18-21:21]

The Megazord stabbed Sydo, taking him down.

[Gokaiger 2. 21:24-21:26]

As the Megazord faced the Krave, it focused energy into its claws.

[Gokaiger 2. 21:27-21:34]

The Megazord flipped away from the energy blasts, and the Rangers shouted as they tried to keep the evasive maneuver up.

"I'm shocked that worked!" Jake said as they landed.

Sydo leapt at their back and grabbed them, shaking the Megazord.

The Rangers shouted and were shaken around in their cockpit.

[Gokaiger 2. 21:35-21:37]

As Sydo held tight, the Krave lifted both arms up and drew them forward.

[Gokaiger 2. 21:42-21:43]

Sydo twisted the port on the back of the Megazord.

"That wasn't smart," Noah said as something came up on his display. He flicked it to the side, causing it to appear on everyone's.

[Gokaiger 2. 21:45-21:52]

Sydo was blasted back as ports opened on the arms and legs of the Megazord, as well as the chest, from which a cannon protruded. A blast came out of the cannon, flying for the Krave, and it continued to fire, taking shells from the limbs.

The Krave took fire until it was destroyed.

Sydo threw his arm forward, "No!" he shouted.

The ports closed.

[Gokaiger 2. 21:54-21:55]

The Megazord turned to face Sydo.

Noah flicked his screen again, "Here's the finisher!"

The others touched their screens at the designated .

[Gokaiger 2. 22:02-22:13]

The port on the back of the Megazord began to spin and the Megazord leapt u, charging with energy. "Cannonball Barrage!" they all shouted as the cannon appeared again and fired continually on Sydo. Sydo's missiles flew back.

[Gokaiger 2. 22:25-22:26]

The blasts continued, blasting Sydo's cannon down, and then he too fell. He exploded as the Megazord turned away.

[Gokaiger 2. 22:28-22:32]

The Megazord stood, withdrew the cannon, and posed.

"General!" Vekar shouted, slamming his fist against his chair, "No! How could he fall?"

"He was old," Vrak said, "But he put up a good fight."

Vekar shook his head furiously, "No! Now who will lead the soldiers?"

"I can, my Prince," Dravo offered.

Vekar turned to his bodyguard, "Perhaps…"

Vrak shook his head and left the chamber.

"We need a new plan of attack," Dravo said, "A new method to subjugate the Earth with."

"Do you have anything in mind?" Vekar asked.

"I do."

On Earth the Rangers ran and cut through more Metins with their Legacy Modes. Troy shot two down and helped the civilians to their feet, "Go!" he told them, directing them on where it was safe.

"How many more can there be?" Emma asked.

"Too many," Gia said.

"They came in force, that's for sure," Noah said.

"How can we beat all of them?" Jake questioned.

Troy looked up and down the battered street, at the destroyed buildings around them. He shook his head.

"Guys…I don't know how to proceed," he said, "Honestly, I don't. We can fight until we're so tired that even these things can beat us, but what good will it do? There really is no apparent end to them."

"Troy…," Emma said.

"We'll keep fighting," Troy said, "But we have to be smart about it. Pick our battles. We're going to need to rest eventually, even if people are in danger."

"We can't leave them, but…," Gia said.

Troy nodded, "Yeah…"

They all took in their surroundings and then nodded.

"I'm so sorry…," Troy said, "Everyone…but we'll save you. We will…"

And then they all teleported.
