AN: So first off, yes I know this is a short chapter, I have been spending my day with my girlfriend for valentines day, so I just wrote this all in the span of 20 minutes right before I'm going to bed. Second, I realize this is late for Valentines day, but again, see last statement. Thirdly, I remember a year ago when the White Trailer came out, that's what actually got me hooked onto the show in the first place (Weiss is my favorite character out of them all) so I see that as being the date of Weiss' birth if you think about it, (at least for this story). Now, I hope you guys enjoy this little fluff piece, and as always thanks for reading.

Weiss normally was a pretty chipper person, at least in certain company. She kept herself normally distant from those she didn't know, but to those she did know, she was a completely different person when she was around them. Over the course of her time at Signal, she had made numerous friends that she was glad to have gone there. Her roommate, and now girlfriend Ruby Rose, made her feel like the luckiest girl alive. The only thing was, she and Ruby were keeping things a secret, even from their friends. While Ruby was fine with being open about their relationship, Weiss was still a bit insecure about being as open about it as her girlfriend was.

That being said, Weiss knew valentines day was just around the corner, but not just that, it was also the date of her birth. Not only had she been born on the day of love, but because of it, she never really got to enjoy either day, everyone else being occupied with someone else on that day. So Weiss grew to naturally hate Valentines day, feeling it was stupid and pointless. She would celebrate her birthday by herself, maybe with the servants that worked for her family, even her mother, father and sister, Winter, would take a few moments to celebrate Weiss' birthday with her, even if it was for a short amount of time. But Weiss never saw the point to valentines day.

When she woke up in the morning, the weather didn't exactly look cheerful outside, the rain coming down hard, and the cold settling in quickly. Weiss frowned, her birthday wasn't looking to be starting off well. Looking around her room, it looked like Ruby wasn't even there, which didn't help Weiss' mood any bit. Weiss picked up her phone, and she saw a message from Ruby was left for her.

Hey Weiss. Sorry I didn't get to say good morning to you, had to run into town to pick up something before class started. I promise to make it up to you later today at lunch.

Weiss sighed, at least she knew where Ruby was right now, and she would see her during lunch which was good she guessed. Looking over at the clock, she saw that she had just enough time to shower and get ready to go to class. So Weiss stood up and went about her business. As her day went on, she kept thinking about wanting to tell Ruby it was her birthday. At some point she realized, that specific fact was never mentioned to her at all, so Ruby needed to know that. Weiss sat through a history course that she would do well in without even trying, just daydreaming, something she never did on a normal day.

Ruby and Weiss had only been dating for less than a month, but to Weiss, it felt much longer than that. She never thought for a second about what would happen if something like this were to come up, but she wouldn't change anything at this point. Weiss honestly never felt better about everything in life, even if today wasn't necessarily the best of days so far. Right around lunch time, Weiss checked her phone, which had another message from Ruby in it.

Can you run back to the room for me real quick, I left something in there that I need. Thanks ^_^

Weiss shook her head, going back to her room wasn't exactly what she wanted to do, her stomach agreeing with the thought. But begrudgingly, Weiss decided to go back anyways, it was for Ruby after all. Weiss knew that Ruby did plenty for her on a daily basis, so it was only fair to return the favor every now and then. As Weiss walked back, she thought about what she was going to tell Ruby in regards to her birthday. It was a new thing for her, being in a relationship with someone, and since birthdays are a big deal to Ruby, it was only fair that she should know.

When Weiss got back to her room, she didn't expect to see Ruby standing in front of her. Weiss was confused for a second before she walked all the way in and closed the door. Ruby didn't say anything, instead holding out a cupcake with a single candle in it. "Happy birthday Weiss, and Happy Valentines day as well." Ruby gave her a cheesy smile that made Weiss blush.

"Ruby I, I never told you about my birthday, so how did you find out?" Weiss was seriously confused about it, but she definitely thought it was the sweetest thing she had ever seen.

"Well, your parents called this morning. You were still asleep and waking you was the last thing I wanted to do, so I answered the phone. They told me that it was your birthday and said they would call you again later in the day." Ruby handed Weiss the cupcake, before wrapping her into a big hug. "When I found out, I went into town to get the stuff to make that, then I baked that for you while you were in class. I hope you like it."

Weiss put the cupcake on the desk, silently walking over to Ruby, and while holding back a tear, she kissed Ruby. Once she pulled back, Weiss simply rested her head against Ruby's forehead. "Ruby, this is the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me. Thank you so much." Weiss sounded quiet, only loud enough for Ruby to hear her. "Thank you for making me feel like the luckiest girl alive." Weiss, for the first time, was truly the happiest of them all on her birthday, feeling like there was nothing in the world that would bring her down at that point. She pulled Ruby back in to another kiss, showing her just how grateful she was to Ruby and everything she did for her.
