A/N: Been a minute.. But here we go!

Chapter 25

Beyond couldn't help but laugh to loudly to himself as he rejoined the others in the dinning room. He hurried to his seat so that he would be able to watch the next events unfold before him. Givanni was looking at him like he was crazy, and he just smiled even wider.

"Calm down, B." L scolded. He laughed again. Laughed like a giddy child.

"I can't help it. I'm so excited for this." He said gleefully.

"Why are you so excited?" Givanni chanced to ask, his face twisted in confusion and horror.

"Good Evening, family!" Matt suddenly called out, drawing the attention of everyone in the house. His hands were spread out over his head dramatically before he reached back and wrapped his arm around Mello, guiding him to the table. Beyond knew the moment Givanni and Near noticed the blond, obviously recognizing him immediately. The look of obviously stunned horror crossing Givanni's face was enough to make Beyond laugh again.

"WHAT THE FUCK?!" The brunette finally exploded as Matt was already helping himself to his food like this was completely normal.

"What's up, G?" He smiled innocently. The brunette shook his head.

"Mello? You've been sleeping with Mello?! The same homophobic twat that has been causing you grief for the last few months?!" He yelled exasperated. Matt looked at the blond in question before looking back at his friend.

"Yeah." He answered simply, causing the other to rub his face roughly.

"I can't. I just can't believe it!" He exclaimed, denial obvious.

"Then believe this." Matt shrugged, turning to Mello and pulling him into a heated kiss right there at the table. The blond faltered for a moment in surprise, but easily caught up to the red head, one of his hands lifting to thread his fingers through his hair as he tugged him even closer, tilting his head to better kiss his lover. Givanni looked on in shock, and Beyond couldn't help it. He thought back to how Matt tried to embarrass him in front of L, and an evil smile spread across his face.

"Everybody's going psycho!" He yelled, jumping out of his seat, moving into song as Matt took control of the kiss, hands on either side of the blond's face. Kiyomi groaned.

Lights go out

It's finally going down

You feel it in the air

It's going to leave you hypnotized

Beyond laughed as he started the song, but Matt broke away from the kiss and sang out in continuance, "I feel so alive!"

Let's live life like we're never gonna die

Join me if you dare cause we're going to leave the rest behind

I feel so alive

He laughed as Mello cocked a brow at him, and Beyond couldn't even stay disappointed, singing the chorus as he danced around the table, getting Givanni's attention.

Losing all control

I can feel it in my soul

We can finally let go

Everybody's going psycho

Hands up, turn it down

Lose it to the sound

We can finally let it go

Everybody's going psycho

Givanni finally laughed as Beyond landed on L's lap. He looked up at his best friend and saw him laughing and smiling with the blond, and he couldn't even stay mad. Not when he thought back to how happy he had been the past few months.. He wasn't sure why or how this had happened, but it had. He thought back to Mello's reactions and treatment of himself and the rest of the team in general and a smirk took it's place on his own face as he stood and draped an arm over his shoulder, drawing his surprised attention.

Now's the time

To see the other side

One last chance to finally step across the line

I feel so alive

Beyond joined them once more, leaning over and looking the blond in his eyes.

Psycho eyes

Leave you paralyzed

Lock all the doors there's no place left to hide

I feel so alive

Mello sent a look to L who just shrugged as the two launched into the chorus again.

Losing all control

I can feel in my soul

We can finally let go

Everybody's going psycho

Hands up, turn it down

Lose it to the sound

We can finally let it go

Everybody's going psycho

They sang together, and in that time, Matt had gotten up. The red head pulled him to his feet, pulling him from his spot. He looked around, but Matt wrapped his arms around him tightly, pressing close as his voice sang out deep and even.

Let me see you go psycho

Let me see you go psycho

Let me see you go psycho

Let me see you go psycho

He insisted, getting loaded and louder with each repeated line. Mello's smile grew across his face at the encouragement. Matt didn't want to let Givanni and Beyond win, and neither did Mello. He could play this game. A smirk crossed his own face before he sand the chorus himself.

Losing all control

I can feel it in my soul

We can finally let go

Everybody's going psycho

Hands up, turn it down

Lose it to the sound

We can finally let it go

Everybody's going psycho

Matt smiled widely as he heard the others groan, pleased with the blond for joining in the family antics. As Mello finished, he sang it once more, with Mello.

Losing all control

I can feel in my soul

We can finally let go

Everybody's going psycho

Hands up, turn it down

Lose it to the sound

We can finally let it go

Everybody's going psycho

They finished together, only to have Beyond close it out just as he had finished, yelling, "Everybody's going psycho!" his unique laugh punctuating it. Matt kissed the blond in his arms deeply once more before Beyond interrupted them, "Alright, enough! We already heard it once tonight!" He sat next to his own boyfriend. Matt lead Mello over to their seats once more, chuckling himself.

"Does that happen often?" He couldn't help but ask. Matt hid a smile, but it was L who answered.

"All the time." He said flatly, looking at his student.

"Should've known." Blue eyes rolled in amusement, accepting when Matt offered him to try his noodles.

Beyond watched with sparkling eyes as Givanni got over his shock. Now the only one to worry about was Near. The teen had his eyes locked on his adoptive brother, slight confusion in them. It was obvious Near was upset Matt couldn't confide in him about his relationship, but it warred within him since he just wanted him to be happy. He would never know the extent of what the older teen had done to protect him in the orphanage, but he knew Matt, more than anybody, deserved happiness. And he knew that if Mello hurt his brother, he would likely break his stoic mask to make him pay.
