So from here on out, I'm going to be doing the conclusions to each of the girl's stories with some being told in the present while others are recalled. Thank you so much for supporting this fanfic despite how long it's taken me to work on it due to getting distracted by other fanfics and other obligations. As for whether I will be doing a sequel to this series or not, I've decided to wait till I've watched the newer Disney Princess movies before including them as characters (hence why none of them showed up in this fanfic in the first place).
Chapter 25: When Spring is Here
Snow's eyelids fluttered open and she was immediately blinded by sunlight filtering in from a window to her right. On her left sat Ariel who looked tired but also worried.
"Where…?" Snow blinked, and noticed Ariel looking down at her in surprise.
"Miss Fairy!" Ariel shouted, getting out of the chair she was sitting in. "Snow is awake!"
Immediately, a kind-looking elderly woman in a blue robe appeared whom Snow recognized as the teacher for Magic Class.
"Well, now," Miss Fairy smiled. "How are you feeling, child?"
Rubbing her eyes, Snow said, "Um, fine. But what's going on?"
"You've been in a coma for six months, and have been kept in the hospital since," Ariel stated.
"Six months?" Snow couldn't believe what she heard. "How did that happen?"
"It seems you consumed an apple that was infused with a powerful sleeping potion which put you in a death-like sleep," Miss Fairy explained. "And we think the one who gave it to you was Queenie."
"My stepmother?" Snow shook her head in disbelief. "No, it couldn't have been her."
This made one of Miss Fairy's eyebrows rise. "Why do you say that?"
"I remember…being visited by an old woman. She offered me an apple, which I initially refused but took anyway. Then I found a note which claimed the apple could grant me a wish, and so out of curiosity...I ate it."
Miss Fairy's brow furrowed. "When the authorities found your body, they found another that was identified as Queenie White."
Surprised, Snow asked, "Is she still alive?"
"No, dear, I'm afraid she has passed away."
Letting this news sink in, Snow looked downward. "How did she die?"
"She was apparently struck by a bolt of lightning when she attempted to crush a group of Dwarves with a large boulder."
Hearing the Dwarves mentioned made Snow shutter briefly.
"Is something wrong, Snow?" Ariel said, noticing Snow's shoulders shake.
So propping herself up in bed, Snow reluctantly told Ariel and Miss Fairy about her encounter with the Dwarves and living with Mulan at the Emperor Dojo which the Pandemonium Gang was using as a training-ground/base.
When she was done, Miss Fairy remarked, "That is quite the tale, though the authorities didn't find any Pandemonium Gang members at the Emperor Dojo."
"That's because they left to answer an urgent message sent from the Tong Shou Restaurant," Snow answered.
"Do you know why they went there?"
Gulping, Snow said, "It was where they were smuggling drugs, and they didn't want the Huns to destroy it."
"Did Mulan leave with them?"
Snow nodded.
"If what you're saying is true, she must have survived the intense battle that happened in the Tong Shou neighborhood after the restaurant was blown up," Ariel claimed.
"Blown up?" Snow exclaimed. "By the Huns?"
"The authorities haven't claimed who was responsible yet, since they're still accessing the enormous amount of damage done to the whole neighborhood," replied Ariel.
"I sure hope Mulan did survive," Snow hoped.
"Oh, I know she did because she started attending school again this past January after being suspended for her month-long absence."
"And not her association with the Pandemonium Gang?"
"She didn't say anything about it, at least as far as I know."
"Then maybe I shouldn't have said anything, in case she gets in trouble for it."
"Not to worry, dear," Miss Fairy assured. "Your secret is safe with us."
Just then, the door to the hospital room opened. From behind the curtain which separated Snow from the other patient appeared Prince who was wearing a white dress-shirt underneath a blue vest and matching skin-tight jeans. He was holding two cups of coffee, but nearly dropped them upon seeing Snow.
"Prince!" Snow realized, feeling embarrassed. "What are you doing here?"
"Well, I…um…" Prince trailed off, setting the coffee cups down on a nearby tray.
"According to you stepmother's notes, a victim of the 'Sleeping Death' as she puts it can be revived by 'Love's First Kiss,'" Miss Fairy explained. "So when we tried to look for someone who would be willing to do it, Prince volunteered."
"Oh, I see." This made Snow blush a little.
"And by 'we,' I mean myself and the other Fairies I worked with to help another patient with a similar condition," added Miss Fairy.
"So you're one of them?"
"To be more precise, I am a Fairy Godmother for a fellow classmate of yours."
"Who?"
"Does the name Cindy Tremaine ring a bell?"
Remembering the bitter blonde-haired girl from the cafeteria, Snow decided not to say anything. Then as Miss Fairy and Ariel quietly left the room, Prince looked dumbfounded. Then he took one coffee cup while offering the other to Snow. Gladly, she took it. They sipped coffee in silence for a while, until a doctor briefly interrupted them to check on Snow physically.
The next day, she was released from the hospital. Because Hunter had been arrested for aiding Queenie despite confessing to the police, and Snow wasn't old enough to inherit her father's company, her living situation looked bleak. That was until Prince offered to let her stay with him and his folks in a white mansion that reminded Snow of a castle, making her think of the wish she made on the apple. After taking Prince's offer, Snow decided to visit the Dwarves' cottage which was now empty with a picture left by Dopey where the Dwarves were marching away and Snow was standing nearby with the words 'They give you house as apology for what they did'.
